"Jet Force Gemini" Enemies FAQ By: RunecraftReborn [runecraftreborn@hotmail.com] Version1.0 This is my Jet Force Gemini FAQ for enemies. Seeing as there are a lot of different enemies, knowing how to kill each one can get confusing. This is a FAQ for defeating bad guys only. It is not designed for anything other than killing enemies. I also am assuming that your arsenal is equipped with most of if not all of the guns. If you have any questions about the game please feel free to e-mail me at [runecraftreborn@hotmail.com] On that note, let us begin. ----------------- Table of Contents ----------------- 1)Version History 2)Enemies 3)Locations 4)Legal Stuff --------------- Version History --------------- January 12, 2004 - Version0.6 -This is my basic outline. It has the names of all the enemies and most of their info. January 16, 2004 - Version0.9 -I added the locations section, and I finished the enemies info section. January 18, 2004 - Version1.0 -I have added the finishing touches. ------- Enemies ------- 1)Soldier Drone -Soldier drones are your basic run of the mill drones. They are the first enemies that you run into. Soldier drones are blue in color. They are pretty weak and can be killed with two or three shots from the pistol. They fire weak rounds but attack in groups so they can ping away at your health. The most efficient weapons to use are the pistol and the machine gun. 2)Sniper Drone -Sniper drones are green colored drones that like to fire at you from high up. These drones are very accurate and their ammunition deals more damage than the soldier drones'. Because they don't move, the best way to kill them is to use the pistol or sniper rifle to pick them off from far away. 3)Ninja Drone -I have a personal grudge against all ninja drones. These drones are marked by their brown color, otherwise they look just like soldier drones. The problem with these guys is that as soon as they see you, they run and kill every Tribal that they see. Ninja drones are pretty weak, so kill them as soon as you see them. Since these guys are just like soldier drones you have you choice of weapons to kill them. Just make sure that you kill them quickly. 4)Cyclops Drone -Cyclops drones are airborne drones that hover in place. They aren't very accurate, but they attack in large groups which spray bullets everywhere. It takes only one hit to kill a cyclops drone. The most effective weapon to start off with is the machine gun. Once the bulk of the drones are dead, you should switch to a single-shot weapon like the plasma shotgun. 5)Arachno Drone -Arachno drones are flying drones that do not appear in very large numbers but are still very effective. They move pretty quickly and get more accurate as you move closer to them. Arachno drones deal about as much damage per shot as cyclops drones. The safest way to kill these drones is to keep your distance and fire at them with your plasma shotgun. One second-level shot will kill each one. 6)Stinger Drone -The stinger drone is yet another flying drone. These bad boys hover in place moving left and right at various times, while firing some pretty damaging cannon fire. I find that it isn't worth the bullets to just blast away with the machine gun. Instead, you should take this time to practice aiming while strafing. Use your pistol or plasma shotgun to pick off each drone. 7)Stealth Drone -Well what do you know, another flying drone. Stealth drones are usually in large groups. They sweep towards you in pairs and try to blast you while the rest of the group fires away. Going up against these drones can turn ugly very quickly. The key here is in your strafing-while-aiming abilities. First, strafe to avoid the background fire. Next, blast the incoming pair before they get into firing range. To do this, the best weapon would be the machine gun, mainly because you will not have as much time to aim as is needed for a single-shot weapon. Finally, repeat this sequence until all drones are dead. 8)Octo Drone -Octo drones are the most powerful of all the flying drones. These flyers are large, squid-like drones who rise straight up in the air. Octo drones are slow moving and slow to fire, but they fire extremely powerful laser shots. The key to not getting killed by these things is the fact that they take a while to fire at you. Knowing this, you should use the tri-rocket launcher or (if need be) the machine gun to kill them before they can begin firing at you. 9)Hornet Drone -Hornet drones attack in flying swarms due to their weakness as individuals. Hornet drones hover in place and move sporadically as they continually fire their two laser banks. They are not very powerful, but they can ping away at your health if you take too long to kill them. Basically, all that you want to do is blast away with your machine gun while strafing to avoid enemy fire. 10)Dragon Drone -Dragon drones are possibly the most annoying of all the flying drones. They are marked by their constant "bouncing" up and down. The key is to shoot these loner drones as they fly upward and dodge as they fall downward. They will fire at you as they bound upward and float downward, so you should keep moving to avoid getting hit. I suggest using a fully charged plasma shotgun to off these pests. 11)Rotor Drone -Rotor drones act very much like dragon drones in that they constantly shoot upward. The differences are that the rotor drone will slowly float downward instead of simply falling and that the rotor drone will only fire at you as it floats downward. You should shoot the drones as they float downward with your plasma shotgun, preferably charged. 12)Armor Drone -Armor drones are the first tough drones that you will meet. They are pretty much stationary, but they can take a beating. They will fire missiles at you, but there are pauses between each shot. You have your choice of weapons. You can either use the tri-rocket launcher to dispose of these pests quickly or if you don't have the tri-rocket launcher, you can use the machine gun. Beware that if you use the machine gun it will take long enough for the drone to get some shots off. 13)Cockroach -Cockroaches are very fast and stay very low to the ground. This makes them very hard to kill. These are the only drones that don't use projectile weapons, so it's just your luck that the simple act of touching them harms your character. These bugs are very tough, so you should definitely use one of your stronger weapons such as the tri-rockets if not the machine gun at least. 14)Coward Drone -Coward drones are aptly colored yellow. They are basically gutless soldier drones. If you point your weapon at them they will instantly surrender to you, but if you turn your back on them, they will whip out a grenade and throw it at you. 15)Barricade Drone -Barricade drones are just soldier drones with big, metal shields. Normal bullets will just be deflected by the shield. To kill these bugs you can either use the tri-rocket launcher which is expensive for such a weak opponent, or you can use the shurikens which will cut right through the shield and kill the drone. You can also retrieve your shurikens after you use them. To try and use the machine gun will be a waste of ammo because 95% of the bullets will be deflected. 16)Deflector Drone -Deflector drones are faster barricade drones with smaller shields. Now is when you should use your machine guns and light these bugs up. They will keep their heads behind their shields and try to jam you. You should let them run by you shoot them in the back before they turn around. 17)Stag Drone -Stag drones are big and purple, but they sure aren't Barney. Stag drones can take a lot of damage before they die. They generally stay still except for certain times when they make a straight run across the area that they are in. The best weapon to use is the tri-rocket launcher, and it will take about two shots per kill. For those of you who are weapons impaired you can still use the machine gun but, it will take a long time. 18)Sentry Stag Drone -Sentry stag drones are just stag drones with a second machine gun. The added fire power makes them more dangerous. They will fire twice the amount of bullets and not take rests between bursts. You should use the homing missile launcher so that you can fire on the run to avoid getting hit. Sentry stag drones are not very accurate but they fire enough rounds to make up for that fact. 19)Rhino Drone -Rhino drones are basically advanced soldier drones. They carry the same weapon as a soldier drone, but they use it differently. Rhino drones will fire at you, charge past you, and shoot you in the back. They usually attack in large groups, so use your machine gun and mow them down as they charge you. Rhino drones are pretty quick, but they are also pretty weak. So, you just need to get two or three shots to hit with the machine gun. 20)Zombie Drone -Zombie drones are drones that were messed up by King Jeff's magic. These drones can not be killed by bullets. You must use the tri-rocket launcher, homing missile launcher, plasma shotgun, or sniper rifle to kill them. They cannot really hurt you and will leave you alone if you leave them alone. 21)Zombie Stag Drone -The zombie stag drones were also twisted by King Jeff's magic. They are really quite easy to kill. The same rules apply for these drones as for the normal zombie drones. If you are forced into a confrontation with one of these drones remember that they are terribly slow and it should take at the most two tri-rockets to kill it. 22)Cyborg Drone -Cyborg drones are probably the toughest drones in the game. They are characterized by half of their bodies being covered in metal. They stand still and fire rockets like there is no tomorrow. Even if you use the tri-rocket launcher, it will still take a few hits to bring a cyborg drone down. If you get hit by their ammo it will take a large chunk of health away from you. Strafe to avoid their fire and do not stop moving. 23)Renegade Drone -The renegade drones are marked by their lack of a second tusk. They fire a similar weapon to the stag drone. The renegade drones fire machine gun bullets in bursts with pauses in between. I suggest that you avoid their fire and blast them with the homing missile launcher during the breaks in fire. Just keep moving to avoid their fire. 24)Infantry Weevil -The infantry weevil is a big green bug with even bigger firepower. These bugs are slow moving. They fire ammo that causes more damage than the armor drone's and do not pause for as long between each shot. You must destroy these bugs quickly. Use either the tri-rocket launcher or the homing missile launcher fired quickly. Do whatever you must, but do not get hit by the ammo fired by an infantry weevil. 25)Weevil Trooper -Weevil troopers are hulking, bluish green drones. Weevil troopers do not move, and they simply stand and shoot. They fire nonexplosive, powerful rounds with short pauses between bursts. You should treat these bugs like you do the infantry weevils. Use the tri-rocket launcher or the homing missile launcher to kill this bug as quickly as possible. These drones are rather accurate, so don't stand still and let it get trained on you. --------- Locations --------- These are the places that the above enemies can be found. 1)Soldier Drone -Goldwood -S.S.
