雀豪シミュレーション 麻雀道64 Jango Shimyureeshon Mahjong Michi 64 Strong Player Simulation: Mahjong Road 64 Contents 1.Introduction 2.Controls 3.How to play 4.Characters in the game 1.Introduction Released by Art on July 25, 1997 this is the 3rd Mahjong game on the N64. It was given 68% by N64 Magazine, a U.K. Publication, who said "The best mahjong game yet? Well, probably, but does it really matter? It'll probably fly off the shelves in ker-razy Japan." However the game must have actually sold pretty poorly, even at the low price of 6800 yen, since it does not even have a Japanese wikipedia page. The word Jangō in the title must have a Chinese origin (as is common with Mahjong terms), since it does not appear in my Japanese dictionary. It means a strong or professional player. There are 16 characters available in the game, all presented in an anime style. This makes the game much more pleasant to look at than the previous Mahjong games on the system. Mahjong came to Japan from China, and it exists in numerous forms. The 4 player Riichi version is most popular in Japan. It can be compared to the Western card game rummy. An explanation of how to play Mahjong is far beyond the scope of this guide, but I recommend Light Grunty’s youtube channel and this free book by Daiana Chiba: https://dainachiba.github.io/RiichiBooks/ I also recommend downloading the Yaku (winning hands) cheat sheet from worldriichi dot org. 2.Controls A button – Confirm, discard a tile B button – Close a window C Buttons - Open the player status window Start Button – Change the environmental settings L Trigger - Confirm, discard a tile R Trigger - Confirm, discard a tile Z Trigger – Confirm, discard a tile 3D Stick / D Pad left or right – Select a tile, move the window 3D Stick / D Pad down - Open the action window 3D Stick / D Pad up - select an action in the action window 3.How to play These are the 6 modes on offer 雀豪モードStrong Player Mode- This is the story mode.
