As I do not read Japanese, I only assign names of move based on their function, shape, and what I have learn from the anime. All basic moves and advance moves, as seen in the moves menu, are self-explanatory. The only move which may seem to be unclear is TAUNT. TAUNT depresses opponents and therefore decreases their special energy. Special energy is required to perform all special moves, depending on which fighter you are using, the amount of special energy required will be quite different. Just a reminder, hold A or B to raise your special energy. When your life (the Japanese word beside it) is flashing, you may execute the super move (move with asterisk, '*', before it) if you have enough special energy (the Japanese word beside it is flashing). 'A' Low Fireball: down, down forward, forward + A High Fireball: down, down forward, forward + B Rising Fireball: down, down forward, forward + C Falling Fireball: (mid-air only) down, down forward, forward + A / B / C Armgun: down, down + A / B Special Defence: A + B *Super Fireball: down, down, forward + A / B / C A: forward low B: forward high C: up forward up / down: direct it up / down 'B' Tornado: (mid-air also) down, up + A / B Tornado Punch: (mid-air also) down, down forward, forward + A / B Fly: (mid-air only) 2 x forward / 2 x backward / 2 x upward *Super Tornado: down, down + A + B backward / forward: direct him backward or forward C: stop him (note: if he spins too long, he gets dizzy when stopped.) 'C' Invoke Remote Hands (Close): down, down + C Invoke Remote Hands (Midway): down, down + B Invoke Remote Hands (Far): down, down + A After Invoke Remote Hands (Move hands: forward / backward): Heal character under the hands (enemy too!): B Punch character in front of hands: A Remove Remote Hands: C Flying Kick: down, down forward, forward + A / B Teleport (Right of the screen): (mid-air also) down, up + C Teleport (Middle of the screen): (mid-air also) down, up + B Teleport (Left of the screen): (mid-air also) down, up + A Drop Kick: (mid-air only) down, down + A / B *Time Stopper: down + A + B 'D' Fireball (Store): down, down forward, forward + hold C, release C Fireball (Fire): down, down forward, forward + hold A / B, release A / B Power Punch: down, down + A / B Uppercut: (mid-air also) down, up + A / B Rapid Punch: A / B rapidly *Super Punches and Kicks: forward, down, forward + A 'E' Dimensional Sabre (Close): down, up + C Dimensional Sabre (Midway): down, up + B Dimensional Sabre (Far): down, up + A Energy Shower: down, down + A / B Dashing Sword: down, down forward, forward + A / B Sword Slash: A + B *Super Sword Slashes: down, down, forward + A 'F' Fireball (Store): down, down forward, forward + hold C, release C Fireball (Fire): (mid-air also) down, down forward, forward + hold A / B, release A / B Power Punch: down, down + A / B Rapid Punch: A / B rapidly *Super Punches and Kicks: forward, down, forward + A 'G' Plant Attack (Close): down, down + C Plant Attack (Midway): down, down + B Plant Attack (Far): down, down + A Rose Dart: down, down forward, forward + A / B Flower Screen: down, up + A / B Plant Whip: A + B *Special Attack: down, forward, down + A 'H' Jumping Slash: down, down + A / B, forward / backward, A / B (when over the top of an enemy) Power Punch: (mid-air also) down, down forward, forward + A / B Sword Slash: A + B Image: 4 x forward *Black Dragon: down, forward, down, foward + A / B direction key: direct it in any direction (direct it to enemey inflicts damage to him, direct it to 'H' increases his power somehow by 'absorbing' the dragon; after absorbing the dragon, special energy of 'H' decreases continuously, but you can prevent it from dropping by raising it with the holding of A or B button; if his special energy is all drained by the dragon, he gets dizzy.) You have to finish the game at difficulty 4 in order to see one of the endings. If you finish the game by having one or more continue, you get the worse of the two endings (which is great too :). This ending shows pairs of fighters fighting each other with combos and special moves (no super moves though ;). If you finish the game without any continue, you see the better ending. This ending shows you pairs of fighters fighting each other with perfect combos (you can get no better, I suppose), as well as the super move for each fighter. And this ending, there is one extra option in the practice mode. You can now play a game of ONE VS TWO or even ONE VS THREE!!! Now that's gonna be FUN :) This is such a great game that I really enjoy. In my opinion, Treasure is such a great company in making action games that it is competitive with Capcom. If you have Saturn, grap Guardian Heroes, it's wonderful. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11) Credits ======= I have composed the whole faq by myself.
