In this FAQ I have typed up the dialogue and story related text that appears 
in Splatterhouse 2 for the Sega Genesis. The text is as it appears in the 
game except it's not all capitals.

It's been three months since
your escape. 

Haunted by guilt and tormented 
by nightmares...nightmares of... 

Jennifer's screams and the 
infernal temptations of the mask. 

Terror Mask: She doesn't have to die, Rick. 
             We can save her. 
             Go back to the house. 
             I'll find you there... 
             Only I can give you the power. 
             You need me.

Rick: An elevator. 
      A secret entrance to the house?

Rick: The stench of this foul river is 
      overpowering. 
      I must continue upstream.

      It's the house!

Diary reads: The mask can open a portal to

The monstrous visage 
disappeared into the lake. 

And the Terror Mask has left me 
as I was with Jennifer. 

But what of the mask? 

As long as that mask remains....
