A set of "~~~" is at the beginning of each section in this FAQ. ~~~ ()()()()()()() () CONTROLS () ()()()()()()() This game is based ENTIRELY on the following buttons: ============= D-pad ============= Used to move characters/objects around on the screen. ============= 'A' Button ============= Used to perform a certain action pretaining to the context in which it is in, stopping speach, and also used during the sound test to decrease the numbers. ============= 'B' Button ============= I'm pretty sure the only time this button is used is when playing the sounds during the sound test in the options menu. ============= 'C' Button ============= I'm pretty sure the only time this button is used is when scrolling through the sounds during the sound test. This button makes the numbers increase. ============= 'START'Button ============= Used to pause the game at any time during play. also used to select "Start" or "Options" in the main menu. ~~~ ()()()()()()()() () MAIN MENU () ()()()()()()()() When starting the game, you are presented with 2 options: =============== START =============== Starts the game and takes you to the amazing world of Richard Scarry! =============== OPTIONS =============== Shining - when 'On', items sparkle to help you out. In this FAQ, I assume that you have this option on. Sound - use the 'C'button to increase numbers, the 'A' button to decrease the numbers, and the 'B' button to play the sound from the game - 253 total. Music - same as "sounds" option, only this plays the different types of background music throughout the game - 7 total. Exit - returns you to the main menu. ~~~ ()()()()()()()()()()() () PLAYING THE GAME () ()()()()()()()()()()() There are 6 sections to this game, not including the "How To Play" in the middle of the town. Go to whatever section you want to play and push the 'A' button. Below I have listed all of the sections and walkthrough-type explainations of each of them. To leave a section at any time, just walk over to Lowly Worms helicopter and press the 'A' button to be taken back to the main map. ~~~ ================= Bruno's Deli ================= In this part of the game, you'll control Huckle Cat and help Bruno serve customers at his deli. A customer will come up to the conveyor belt and what they want will appear at the top of the screen. Food items are on the left, and beverages are on the right. Scroll through the food by using either the left or right arrows on the front of the machine. Once you've found the item they want, press the yellow button between the arrows. [Hint: The buttons will flash and show you which was to scroll is the fastest] The foods are color coded into the following groups: ------------------ Dairy [Grey] ------------------ Cheese Yogurt ------------------ Dessert [Pink] ------------------ Apple Pie Cake Cookies Ice Cream ------------------ Fruit [Purple] ------------------ Apple Cherries Strawberries Watermelon ------------------ Grain [Orange] ------------------ Bread Hamburger Pretzel Roll ------------------ Other [white] ------------------ Hotdog Pizza Popcorn Soup ------------------ Vegetables [Green] ------------------ Broccoli Carrots Green Peas Green Salad ++++++++++++++++++ Beverages ++++++++++++++++++ Milk is on the right, lemonade is in the middle, and hot chocolate is on the left. A cup will drop down when the button is pushed. When the cup stops under the spout, hold the 'A' button to fill it up. I don't think it matters if it overflows. ~~~ ================== Captain Salty ================== In this part of the game, you'll control the crane and pick up pieces of the ship with the 'A' button, and put them in their respective and sparkling spots, also with the 'A' button. ================== Ship Pieces ================== Bed Compass Engine Flag Fuel Life Boat Life Preserver Luggage Mail Propeller Radar Radio Rudder Stove After the ship is all put together, the captain will come out. After he comes out, mice will start parachuting down from the sky. Use the D-pad to guide them to their locations on the ship, which just happen to be the same as most of the pieces you just put on. After they're at their stations, you'll control the captain. Pick up the can of paint and paint the boat by holding down the 'A' button and moving all over the red section over the boat. The top part will be yellow, and the bottom part will be black. Also, in the middle of the two colors, a red stripe one block wide will remain. ~~~ ================== Building The House ================== In this part of the game, you'll control Huckle Cat to help build a house. Start off by moving up along the chimney and pushing the 'A' button to place bricks along the chimney. Next is shingles. The best thing to do for this aprt is to hold down the 'A' button and then hold LEFT on the D-pad as far as Huckle will go. Move up a row, hold down RIGHT on the D-pad until he stops again. Do this until the entire roof is covered. [Make sure you get the 2 left columns of the chimney.] After that is placing some items inside the house. Just pust the 'A' button to pick up the item and find where it's outline sparkles in the house and put it there. ----------------- Items ----------------- Air Duct Chair Cold Water Faucet Furnace Hot Water Faucet Lamp Sink Smoke Pipe Television Washing Machine Water Heater After you place all of the items, you can play around with everything that you put it the house. [When you use the hot water for the first time, the fox will have to come and light the pilot light] When you go over to the right side of the screen and leave, the rabbits will come home and play around in their new house. ~~~ ============== Delivery Truck ============== In this part of the game, Lowly Worm and Huckle Cat are delivering items to stores in the town. Once they're in the truck, pick up items from the Warehouse with the 'A' button, and drop them off [also with the 'A' button] at a specific location by following the arrows on the left or right side of the screen. There are a few hazards on the map that you should avoid. If you DO run into these things, a bear on a motocycle will come from the Police Station, come get you, and take you back to the warehouse. The hazards are listed below: ++++++++++++++ HAZARDS ++++++++++++++ "!" Signs [Drive slowly over of them] Chair Chickens Crossing The Road Construction Rabbit Fire Hydrant Jackhammer Open Manholes Trashcans Water The order in which the items you have to deliver is randomized. Below is a list of the locations to which they need delivered: --------------- Bike Shop --------------- Bike Tricycle --------------- Cafe --------------- Bottle Of Soda Cookies Round Table --------------- Dress Shop --------------- Box Of Socks Hat Jacket --------------- Drug Store --------------- Bottles Box Of Pills Picture Frame --------------- Electric Supply --------------- Lamp Washing Machine Water Heater --------------- Grassy Area --------------- Slide --------------- Groceries --------------- Box Of Apples Bunch Of Bananas Watermelons --------------- Hardware --------------- Lawn mower Sink --------------- Ice [Cream?] --------------- Cake Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream Cones --------------- Luggage --------------- Suitcases Travel Chest --------------- Music Shop --------------- Drum Guitar Harp Saxophone --------------- News Stand --------------- Pile Of Newspapers Phone Booth -------------- Police Station -------------- Loudspeaker Plant Radio --------------- School --------------- Chalkboard Fish Bowl --------------- Televisions --------------- Television --------------- Toys --------------- Balloons Dollhouse Kite Rocking Horse ~~~ ================ Fire Station ================ In this part of the game, you'll control the [as far as I know] nameless pig. You have to walk around and pick up the items that are sparkling with the 'A' button, and then drop them off on the truck with the 'A' button again. ---------------- Fire Truck Items ---------------- Fire Hose Life Net Red Flashing Light Siren After those items are collected, you will go over to the door behind the truck, hit the 'A' button, and go upstairs to get some rest. WAKE UP! Turn of the alarm, put on your jacket and helmet ,slide down the fire pole, and get into the truck. You'll drive through the town, avoiding the obstacles, off the right side of the screen, and to the burning house. At the burning house, take off the life net and walk over to the house so the cat family can jump and be rescued. Put the life net back, pick up the hose, plug it into the hydrant, get on the ladder on the back of the truck and move it all the way up with the UP arrow on the D-pad so you don't get the cats wet when you use the hose. Hold the 'A' button down to spray the hose and put the fire out. ~~~ ======== The Wind ======== In this part of the game, you'll control the wind. There's not much to this part, but you can move the whirlwind around the map and cause various effects on the objects within it. ~~~ ()()()()()()()() () QUESTIONS () ()()()()()()()() ----- Q: Why did you write this FAQ? I've never even heard of this game.... A: I went through some of my games that I have that I thought no one else would have written an FAQ about, and wrote one. ----- Q: How do I do [something I didn't explain] ? A: I don't know. I don't have the instruction book for this game, and haven't played through it much at all. If you can read this FAQ, you should really be able to figure it out.... ~~~ ()()()()()()()()()()()()()()() () PROTECTING MY HARD WORK () ()()()()()()()()()()()()()()() Copyrighted to ME, 2006, and no one else, Mitchel Manson.
