Biography Of Mankind ============================================================================= Mick Foley is without a doubt the greatest wrestler in WWF history. No other wrestler entertains and gives 100% every show. Mick is definately my idol and many other people's idol as well. Here is the life story of Mick Foley. Micheal Francis Foley was born June 7, 1965 in Long Island New York. After graduating from Ward Melville High School, he went to Stat University of New York. Mick was a life long wrestling fan who even skipped school and hitch hicked with his friend to Madison Square Garden to see his idol Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. After he saw Snuka battle with Don Muraco in a steel cage Mick was encouraged to start a pro-wrestling career. He was trained by Dominic DeNucci, a former WWF wrestler. Mick met up with Dominic after he saw the tape of Foley jumping off his friend's roof. Dominic admired Mick's courage and agreed to teach him the basics of wrestling. Mick drove over 400 miles every week to attend Dominic's school. Mick lived in his car for several months. Mick wrestled in Japan and Africa for awhile in independent federations. Then Mick went to WCW and a disasterous stay there. Mick was very unhappy with WCW so he went to ECW. Mick had a long and great stay in ECW, winning several titles. Then Mick life changed when he went to the WWF. Mick was contacted by the WWF and he agreed to work there. Originally Vince McMahon wanted Mick to be called "Mason the Mutilator". Mick did not like this so he suggested Mankind for his name. Mr. McMahon liked it and the day after WrestleMania XII, Mick made his WWF debut. Since then, Mick has switched characters from Mankind to Cactus Jack to Dude Love. Mick realized his life long dream of winning the WWF championship in December of 1998 after he defeated the Rock. Since then, Mick has been a 3 time WWF champion and 8 time WWF tag-team champion. Mick Foley realized another dream when he wrestled in the main event of WrestleMania XVI. Sadly it was Mick's last match after being brought back for one night only by Linda McMahon. Even worse Mick lost the match in a really stupid way to end a legends career. ============================================================================= 8.
