INTRODUCTION G0100 =============================================================================== Who doesn't know Mary-Kate and Ashley, the Olsen twins? They have been making movies together since they were 6 years old. "The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley" were a bunch of TV movies when they were really young, thus the often out-of-place pictures within the game that was made only later. The Gameboy Color game is loosely based on these movies. It was developed by Crawfish Interactive and published by Acclaim in 1999 (US) and 2001 (Europe). =============================================================================== 02.) BASICS G0200 =============================================================================== Basics: ``````` The main menu doesn't give you many choices. The options are limited too, but check them out nonetheless if the sounds are not to your liking. Start a new game or input a password to skip ahead. The aim of the game is to collect puzzle pieces to solve the crime. Each level contains one piece. There are also three notes on each level, which if you collect all, will tell you how to solve the puzzle on this floor. Floors also have enemies, they will kill you instantly so do not get in touch with any of them or you lose a life. You start the game with five lives and gain one when picking up heart pieces. If you fall down very far you die as well, and a moderate jump may knock you unconscious for a few seconds. This is only bad if you are around enemies. Bonus Game: ``````````` At the end of a case you get a bonus game. In this game you have thirty seconds to pick up as many hearts as you can, although there are only five available. There are several scenarios you may encounter, the appearance being random. Controls: ````````` A Jump B Pick up & Throw Clue / Flick Switches DOWN Duck SELECT Switch between characters START Un-/Pause + Info Characters: ``````````` You are required to use all characters in most levels. So switching around and making use of each of their abilities is a must. If you are unsure who is who while playing (the girls of course), press START and it will say at the top of the screen. Ashley: The girl in the GREEN clothes. Ashley can flick the switches (B) as well as pick up and throw Clue the dog. Mary-Kate: Mary-Kate can jump higher than everyone else. She can also boost people up to higher levels when they jump on her. She wears the BLUE clothes. Clue: Clue the dog can be stood on to get to the higher platforms. He can also be thrown by Ashley as well as swim in water. =============================================================================== 03.) WALKTHROUGH G0300 =============================================================================== -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The Case of Thorn Mansion G0310 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 'Wow we've just received a call from Mrs. Busybody, and she says that there is something-spooky going on inthe mansion, she says that she has seen ghost goo.' 'Let's go and help Mrs. Busybody, and solve the case.' "Will solve any crime by dinner time." Level 1: ````````` As Green, climb up the nearby ladder and jump over to the switch. Flick it and jump down on the puzzle piece. Alternatively, switch to one of the other characters and move over to the right to pick it up. This is safer as you do not risk missing the piece and hurting yourself in the process. Level 2: ````````` As Blue, climb down and stand underneath the ladder where Green is. As Green, jump on her to get up, then climb up and jump over across the stone platforms. They disappear slowly once you step on them. Flick the switch and climb up the puzzle piece. Level 3: ````````` As Blue, jump left to Green. Let her jump on Blue to flick the platform switch just above. As Clue, jump on the platform and to the right on the same level. As Blue, jump on the moving platform and to where Clue is. Jump on him to get up to the top and then over to the left. Wait for Green to flick the switch on the bottom right and collect the piece. Level 4: ````````` Move Blue next to the painting, then let Clue jump on her to get to the left side. Move Blue to the grandfather clock. Jump on her with Green and repeat with Clue. Position Blue underneath the switch further left and jump on her with Green and Clue once again. If you want a heart then you should move both Clue and Green to the right and defeat those cats on the way. Otherwise just move Clue across while hiding in the alcoves. Get Green to flick the switch and Clue to collect the piece. Level 5: ````````` As Blue, jump left all the way to the left side of the level. Get Clue up to the higher level and duck the cats on the way to the right. When it arrives, get Green to flick the switch at the bottom to free the puzzle piece. Level 6: ````````` Start with Clue and jump left across the rat. With Blue's help, get them all to the left side near the cage. Get the girls up there and start heading right with Blue first. Jump late to make these gaps. At the end, jump on the button to open the bridge. Return to the cage and get over here with Green instead. Her jumps are easier. Flick the switch and collect the piece with Blue. Level 7: ````````` Dodge the ray as Blue and jump down the gap. Help up both other characters so they are on the top right path. Standing to the right of the cage, throw Clue against the rat. Get Green to the switch, flick it, then pick up the piece with Clue. Level 8: ````````` Starting with Green, jump to the bookshelf above. Use Clue to join her. Move Blue up there and make Green jump higher. Flick the switch on the left to get the platform moving above. Get all three on that platform and higher up. At the top, stand on the right edge of the right-most table and throw Clue to the left to dispose of the spider. Get Green to the switch while Blue goes up to the puzzle piece cage. Level 9: ````````` Jump straight up with Green to the note. The rats will dash to the left. Get Clue up there too, using the right side of the bookcase. At the top, position on the slightly higher place on the right and throw Clue at the spider. Pick up Clue again and jump down on the right, then throw it at the spider guarding the switch. As Clue, walk left across the pile of boxes, drop down and then go right again on the middle shelf. Flick the switch and quickly grab they key with Clue before the rat gets you. Level 10: ````````` As Blue, jump down left but be careful of the height. Get Green over the bookcase and jump over yourself. Stand on the right side of the switch on a small fireplace. Get Clue there too, then stand on him with Blue. Switch to Green and flick the switch while you dash past, up the fireplace, bounce off Blue on top of the dog and to the platform above, avoiding the spider, then right to the piece. Level 11: ````````` Get Green and Clue to the top right where Blue is waiting. Hit the spider with Clue, get it back up and position it on the left of this long platform. If you want the heart, bounce with Green on Blue's head and jump with Blue. Stand on Clue with Blue, then bounce off with Green and grab the beehive. 'It's a behive and all along Mrs. Busybody (<-- the typo is in the game) thought there was ghost goo on the floor.' 'I knew all along that there was no ghost and that the goo was only honey.' 'Well, we solved the crime' 'and it was all done by dinner time.' --> Bonus level for extra lives -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The Case of the Volcano Mystery G0320 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Password: CBTHPM 'There's been a call from Freddie in Mexico, and one of his most precious plants is missing.' 'Well there's a mystery to be solved and work to be done.' "Will solve any crime by dinner time." Level 1: ````````` Drop down on the right with Blue, bounce off with Green and repeat to get Green up to where Clue is. As Blue again, climb up the ladder and jump to the cage. Get Green to flick the second switch from the left to open it up. (Or simply flick them all.) Level 2: ````````` Drop down on the right (heart piece), then jump left and when you reach the left side of the level, jump up. Blue should jump up to the same platform. Bounce Green up to the switch. Blue should walk right and wait near the first platform in the air. Get Clue over here and bounce him off Blue to this platform, followed by Blue herself. Use Clue as a block to reach the upper platform, then jump left and wait for Green to flick the switch. Alternatively, bounce up Clue on Blue's head, then head left with him. The last jump is done more easily with him then with Blue. Level 3: ````````` Walk Green right onto the moving band, then jump over to the right. Drop down to the switches and wait. Get Clue to the right underneath the long band when the rat is away. Jump on the bright block you see on the right. Follow with Blue and jump on Clue to get up. Jump on the moving band and then jump to the cage which Green should open now by flicking the left switch. Level 4: ````````` More of an introduction to the escalators than a real level. Walk left with Green, up the escalator and further left. Follow with Blue and bounce Green up to the switch. Walk right and dash over to the cage. If you want to be more secure, get rid of the alien first. Flick the switch while Blue is up there. Level 5: ````````` Easy. Climb up with Blue until you reach the top. To dodge the yellow spark, follow it right about half way and then crouch. Quickly dash over to the cage and get Green to flick the switch where she started. Level 6: ````````` Another easy one. Walk Blue right and up the escalator. Climb down on the right and then wait on the piece for the cage to open. As Green, flick the first switch you see (get there via Clue's head) and then go up the escalator. Jump left over the spark and through the gate you just opened. Dodge the next spark as before (crouch), then flick the second switch to complete this level. Level 7: ````````` As Blue, climb up the ladders. Follow with Green and switch on the moving platform. Jump the gap with both girls. As Blue, climb up to the top and wait on the left where the key is. As Green, stand on the moving platform and drop down when it nearly reaches the right side. You should land just right of the lava and not too far right either. I know it seems strange but you don't die here...flick the lower switch to complete the level. Alternatively, you can also have Clue carry Green over the lava water. Level 8: ````````` Place Clue on the left side. Get Green up to Clue after flicking the nearby switch. Use the arrows as ladders but you don't have to keep on pressing up or down. When you reach the top, jump on Clue and flick the switch here. Travel back to the bottom and go left to find another switch. After this one, return to the top and go right. Follow with Clue. Get Blue here and stand on Clue. Bounce Green up to the switch by jumping while she is on her head, the switching player and jumping too. Be quick! Then climb Blue down to the cage by climbing down and walking right, collecting the piece when Green flicks the switch. Level 9: ````````` Get Clue down one floor and wait at the switch. Get Blue up to the cage. As Green, go up to the top and jump on Blue to reach the switch, flick it. Then descend the ladder and flick both switches as well as the one a floor below. Jump on Clue to get over the boulders and when you reach the next block, get Blue down here to help out. Get Blue or Clue back to the cage to grab the key when it opens. Green needs to descend two more floors and flick the final switch to end this. Level 10: ````````` As Green, grab Clue and kill the rat. Get both to the floor below and kill the rat here too. Climb down and get Clue to help reach the boulders. Flick the switch to free Blue. Get Blue all the way down into the bottom right corner and wait for the next switch. Green needs to climb back up to the top and flick it. Level 11: ````````` Easiest done with Blue if you jump over the rats. You can stand on each side of the platforms. Trying to kill the rats may result in getting Clue harmed instead, thus I don't recommend the "long route" to get up. 'Yeah!! We've done it. Another case solved and Freddie is very happy now he has his plant back.' 'This a case solved by the famous Olsen Twins!' 'That's because we solve any crime' 'By dinner time.' --> Bonus level for extra lives -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The Case of the Haunted Camp G0330 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Password: GMQTCK 'I am really enjoying myself at this holiday camp Mary Kate, but it seems like there won't be any cases to solve.' 'Well... I wouldn't be so sure about that, I have heard there have been a lot of people saying that they have seen ghosts around.' 'There are no ghosts, but there is a mystery to be solved and a case for The Olsen Twins!' Level 1: ````````` As Green, climb up the ladder and walk underneath the platform Blue is standing on. Drop down to the switch. As Blue, climb up the long ladder and stand at the cage. Flick the switch as Green. If you want the heart, you have to do some unnecessary complicated stacking of the characters - I highly suggest you do not bother. Also don't try to drop down from the top on the right side. Level 2: ````````` Jump on Blue's head with both Green and Clue to reach the platform above them. Walk Clue to the right - the blue spider will jump down after you, but miss you. Jump up with Blue and stand below the platform with the switch. Use Green to jump on Blue's had and be bounced up to the switch. Blue should now go right and jump on the stone wall. Watch out for the brownish droppings from the purple slime above and time your jumping over to the right such that you don't get hit. The heart is easy to get, then stand in front of the crate. Activate the switch with Green and claim the piece with Blue. Level 3: ```````` Get Green down left to the brown switch and activate it. This opens up the way to the upper right switch. Now get Blue and Clue down to Green and use Blue to get both Green and the dog to the second platform from the top. Position Clue at the very right end of the platform, facing right. Now jump on his head with Green, then jump over to the upper right part with the gray switch. Blue should jump back right (from the first platform above the brown switch) to the cage with the puzzle piece. Activate the switch with Green and have Blue take the piece. Level 4: ```````` Blue should jump over to the far left side, then climb down the ladder. Drop down onto the cage. You can easily grab the red heart from here, then go further down and stand in front of the puzzle piece. Green and Clue both have to go down from the starting point using the moving platform. Position the dog at the bottom to the left, in front of the tree trunk, just below the bottom- most switch. Have Green stand on his head and jump up to the switch and activated it. (Note: there's no need to use the other two switches. The upper left one opens the door to the upper right one. The latter then closes the path to the red heart.) Level 5: ```````` There are three platforms here with conveyor belts on them. The switch where Green starts only changes the direction of the belts from right to left (and back). If you want you can change it to right. Now climb down the ladder with Green and activate the second switch - this opens up the passage at the bottom to the right side. Drop down to the bottom and go to the right side towards the water. Next switch to Clue. Walk him to the right, drop to the conveyor platform and drop off on the left side (taking the note). You'll land in the water beneath. Swim to the left part of the pool. Now have Blue drop to the left of the water pool and use her to bounce up Green to the right towards the water. Green can now jump on Clue's head. Swim to the right side (Clue carrying Green) and make Green jump to the switch. Activate it and grab the puzzle piece to the left with Blue. Level 6: ```````` Use Blue to jump over the spikes to the right side, climb the stone step and jump to activate the switch hanging from the ceiling. This will make the gray platform in the center move sideways. Go back to the starting point. Now jump with all three to the left, over the small spike trap, and have them stand on the small stone step. Make Green and Clue bounce on Blue's head and a bit left to the platform below the one with the cage. Then get them on the platform (play it safe and move them one after the other) taking them right and jump on the platform with the switch. Activate it with Green - this makes another gray platform above you move left and right. Now jump Blue over the leftmost spike trap (it's safer to do this from the bottom platform instead of the stone step) and climb the ladder to the left, grabbing the heart. Take the moving platform to get to the switch to the right, where the other two are waiting. Now jump with Green on Blue's head so you bounce up to the upper left platform, or even directly on the upper moving platform. Using the platform, move Green to the far right to the switch in the upper right corner. Now jump with Clue on Blue's head to bounce up to the upper left platform and go to the cage. Activate the switch with Green and grab the piece with Clue. Level 7: ```````` Swim with Clue to the right side. While crossing the water, always take care of the red pieces or rock falling down. The safest way is to first look where they're falling, then pass the first half just afterwards and wait below the spot where the big one falls down (and where the heart piece is). Just after the next stones have fallen, continue on. Once on the right side, have Blue jump on Clue's head, then swim back left. You can easily get the heart with Blue on the way. Jump up to the first platform with Blue and position yourself below the blue spider. Jump once - the spider will drop down but not hurt you. Now get Green and Clue up, bouncing from Blue's head and jump them one platform further up right. Here you can stand on Clue's head with Green and get to the left, where you activate the switch. This opens up the way to the cage. Go back down with all three, get Clue into the water and carry the two girls over to the right side. (When 'loading' the dog, get on with Green first, only then jump on with Blue, or else Green will be bouncing like crazy, then possibly get left behind.) Once to the right, jump out of the water, then get Clue and Blue up to the platform above the switch. Either stand with Blue on the dog's head and jump up or bounce up with Clue via Blue's head to the cage and stand before the piece. Now activate the switch below with Green and you're done. Level 8: ```````` Take Green as far left as it gets and activate the switch there. This opens up the two blue doors that had locked in Clue. Now move him over to Green so she can stand on his head and get right to the center of the level. Position Blue below the switch there (below the cage), now Green can jump via Blue's head to said switch and activate it. All that's left is for Blue to jump up to the cage and grab the piece. If you want the heart in the upper left part, you'd need to activate the switch in the upper right corner, then do some stacking to get over to the left, including first liberating Clue using Blue and getting him up on the right side as well. Not worth the effort. Level 9: ```````` Drop with the two girls down to where Clue is. Now take all three individually towards the left to the first switch. For this, you have to avoid a gray dog, but this is done quite easily by jumping on the stone steps or timing your jumps such that the enemy dog is running away from you. Activate this switch with Green to open the blue door left of you. Go through the door with Green and activate the second switch directly to the left. This opens up another blue door, a bit further to the left. Go through that one, too, and activate yet another switch right behind it. This one opens the blue door that would be blocking your way in the upper left. Now, with Green, jump from the small platform the switch is on over the gray enemy dog to the ladder at the left and immediately climb up. Position her right by the switch. Repeat the process for the other two so you have all three in the upper left part. Now you can get the heart in the upper left corner e.g. by bouncing up with Clue from Blue's head. To continue, climb up the ladder with Blue and jump over the gap to the right. Stand on the right side of the platform and wait for the two gray enemy dogs to arrive. Jump down when the first one just passes below you towards the left side and start running right. Jump over the second gray dog and position Blue in front of the cage, ready to take the puzzle piece. Quickly change to Green and have her activate the switch where she's standing to finish the level. Level 10: ````````` This level is rather short, but can be very tricky. Jump with Clue over to the cage, standing in front of the piece. Now position Blue on the left narrow wall enclosing the water. Jump with Green on Blue's head such that you keep bouncing up and down. Now comes the tricky part. Time a jump with Blue such that Green bounces up on the highest point of Blue's jump. Immediately change to Green in- flight and press left - you'll land on the upper left platform. Activate the switch with Green so Clue can grab the piece. If you want the heart, you can jump over the water to the right and position the two girls beneath the rat. Take care not to release it accidentally with one of the three switches. Then bounce with Green on Blue's head - you need to jump up with Blue to propel Green up to the heart. However, it's not actually worth taking the risk here. Level 11: ````````` Jump with Blue in the middle of the giant tire at the bottom, just left of the platform with the ladder. Jump on her head with Clue, then bounce, climb and jump up to the uppermost right platform. Do the same with Green. Once up there, grab Clue and throw him to the left, getting rid of the gray enemy dog and grabbing the red 'ghost x5'. This solves the case. 'Once again we have solved a mystery and you were right Ashley about there being No ghosts.' 'I told you, it turns out that they were actually 3 boys and 2 girls dressed up as ghosts to scare everyone and get them to believe that this really is a haunted camp, We solved the crime... "By dinner time" --> Bonus level for extra lives -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The Case of the Fun House Mystery G0340 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Password: LHDDQJ 'Mary Kate we have another case to solve, Madam Zelda says that there are strange noises coming from the fun house and she has asked us to solve the mystery. 'Fun house, Wow! We have a case to solve and we can also have fun while working.' "Will solve any crime by dinner time." Level 1: ```````` Jump with both Green and Clue on Blue's head to get up and place them by the switch. Grab the dog with Green and throw him at the brown enemy on the platform to the right to get rid of him. Then jump with Clue further to the right and to the cage. Activate the switch with Green and grab the piece with Clue. If you want to get the heart in the bottom right corner, it's easiest to go there with Blue. Wait on the right edge of the platform with the wagon until the brownie walks by under you towards the left. Then jump down, grab the heart and quickly jump back up to the platform. Level 2: ```````` Grab Clue with Green and throw him at the clown nearby to get rid of him. Then go right to Blue and use her to bounce up to the bin. Get up one more platform with Green and Blue, then use Blue to bounce Green up to the switch in the upper right corner. (Jump with Blue while Green is bouncing on her head to reach higher.) Do the same to get Clue up there, then jump with him over the small stone platforms to the cage in the left. Take care while jumping and don't linger - the platforms crumble quickly. Finally activate the switch with Green and grab the piece with Clue. Level 3: ```````` With Blue, jump at the right side of the cage to activate the switch at the ceiling. This makes the platform in the middle of the screen move up and down. Jump on said platform with Clue to have him 'out of the way'. Now get on the same platform with Green and get her down to where Clue had started and activate the switch. Quickly grab the puzzle piece with Blue to finish the level. (The switch in the upper left corner isn't needed - it only opens up the path between the cage and Clue's starting point.) Level 4: ```````` If you want the heart, do some stacking and bouncing to get Green up. Then grab Clue with Green and drop down to the bottom floor when the clown has passed the wood crate facing left. Throw the dog at the clown while standing between the crate and the tent. Activate the switch with Green and grab the piece with either Blue or Clue. Short way: Jump to the right with Blue and stand in front of the piece. Then drop to the bottom with Green while the clown is right of you, run to the switch and activate it. That's all. Level 5: ```````` Jump to the right with Green to the switch. Blue jumps left to the cage with the piece. Activate the switch and the piece is yours. If you want the heart, you need to get Blue to Clue's place first so he can reach the water. Then stand on his head and jump to get it. Level 6: ```````` The switch on the bottom floor opens up the blue door to Clue's right. Now climb and jump down to the girls with him. Stand with all three as far left as possible (at the camel cage wall) and jump with both Green and Clue on Blue's head to be bounced to the platform above. That cat cannot reach you at the outermost edge where you're standing. Now grab Clue with Green and throw him at the cat while she's running on the right part to eliminate her. Jump on the crates to the right with both Green and Blue. (The switch only closes the door to the note in the center, so don't bother.) Bounce with Green on Blue's head to get higher up. Keep jumping up and activate the highest switch. Quickly jump and climb further up to grab the puzzle piece with Green. (The switch to the left only opens up the blue door to the note in the upper left corner, so again, not worth the trouble.) Level 7: ```````` If you want the heart, activate both switches in the upper right and upper left corner with Blue and Clue to open the doors, then jump to it with Blue. To solve this level all you have to do is get to the central switch with Green (via the crate), activate it and grab the puzzle piece. Level 8: ```````` Activate the brown switch with Green. This opens up the part she's in. Then bounce up with Clue (from Blue's head) and go left. Time your progress such that you avoid the falling/rolling boulder. It's safest to make a quick pause left of the next vertical wall, to the right of the ladder. Let one boulder pass, then go on. Let Clue drop into the water (to the left of the ladder) and have him wait there. Now get Blue to the far left so Green can jump out via Blue's head. Note that Blue is the only one to not be harmed by the rolling boulder. Climb down the ladder with Green and drop her down on Clue's head. Swim over to the right (careful of the boulder falling down), jump with Green to the switch, activate it and grab the piece. Safe location: ___ ____ _____ _| _||_____x|__ water Level 9: ```````` Flick the switch at Green's starting point to change the direction of the conveyor belts. Then stand with the other two on the belt and press down to duck, so they're transported over and can go down to Green. You'll get one heart on the way, the second one can be reached by stacking and bouncing. Now grab Clue with Green and walk to the left, towards the sleeping rat. As soon as it wakes up, throw Clue to free your way to the switch. Activate it and grab the piece. Level 10: ````````` Jump to the left with Green, grab Clue, then drop down to the small stone platform. It will crumble, as will the one below it, then you'll land on a platform above the cage. Drop down on one side while the clown is walking to the other one and throw Clue at him to clear your way. Activate the switch in the bottom right corner to make the small platform above you move up and down and make another moving platform appear to the left, below the red heart. Best ignore the heart in this level. Position Clue in front of the puzzle piece, climb up to the platform above with Green (stand on Clue's head for the first part), then jump over on the small moving platform and further to the switch to the right. Activate it to grab the piece. Level 11: ````````` Jump and climb up with Green and Clue to the platform before the first clown. Grab Clue with Green and throw him at the clown, while standing on the left half of your platform. Continue on with the two towards the right and up. Throw Clue again while standing on the right part of the platform above the ladder to get rid of the second clown. Continue jumping and climbing up with Green and Clue, the latter may have to catch up after the second throw. When on the top left platform, grab and throw Clue a third time so as to hit the last clown, too. Finish the case by touching the glowing red clown face. 'All along there was no monster.' 'Yeah, it was an orang-utan that's why it was making noises It was scared.' 'Well we solved the crime And it was by' "Dinner time." --> Bonus Level for extra lives -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The Case of the Hotel Who-Done-It G0350 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Password: MDGKMQ 'Oh no, we must help mom find her bracelet.' 'Yes we do, mom is so upset and she can't find it anywhere.' 'We will find it and surprise her with our detective skill.' "Will solve any crime by dinner time." Level 1: ```````` Remember that only Blue can withstand the falling/rolling boulders, so use her to protect the others. Climb up the first ladder with Blue and position her at the left edge of the platform she's on. The boulders will now be reduced to rubble when hitting her. Now you can safely jump over to the left with Green, to the blue switch. Do so also with Clue and finally with Blue. Blue should now climb up and stand just above the ladder to the left. Clue can start climbing up the ladder, but not get on the platform with Blue just yet - have him wait on the ladder. Then activate the switch with Green. Now you need some timing. Just after a boulder has been crushed by Blue, climb up completely with Clue, quickly jump on Blue's head and bounce over to the puzzle piece, before the next boulder arrives. (If needed, reactivate the switch with Green.) Level 2: ```````` Drop down with all three and step on the moving platform. Stand with Green on Clue's head, then jump up to the blue switch. Activate it when the moving platform is to the left - this makes the next two platforms (to the right) move back and forth. Jump over to the right with Green on the next platform, then follow with Blue. Bounce up to the next switch with Green via Blue's head. (I don't know what this switch does, but it doesn't seem necessary to flick it.) Drop down to the right on the next moving platform. With Blue, jump over to Green just at the time when the platform is at the rightmost spot of its trajectory. Bounce up to the third switch with Green via Blue's head and activate it. This makes the last small platform move up and down. Hop on it to get up to the rightmost switch. Meanwhile drop down with Clue to the cage and stand in front of the piece, then activate the last switch with Green. Level 3: ```````` The arrow between Blue's and Green's starting point indicates an automatic ladder upwards (to the arrow above pointing down). Climb up with Green and activate the right switch. This opens up the right blue door (to the cage), while closing the left one (over to the heart). If you want the red heart, climb down with Clue and position both him and Blue in the center of the bottom floor, then activate the right switch again and bounce him up to the heart via Blue's head (she has to jump). Then activate the left switch with Green and grab the puzzle piece. Level 4: ```````` Bounce up Green to the two switches via Blue's head. Activate the left switch, then grab the puzzle piece. The right switch would open the two blue doors and release Clue, but that's not necessary. Level 5: ```````` Always drop down through the center here, or else you'll fall to your death. The two lone switches change the direction of the conveyor belts, as does the left switch of the pair of switches towards the bottom. The right one of the pair opens up the cage. So drop down with Green, open up the cage door and go grab the piece. Level 6: ```````` Activation of the switch in the top right releases Blue in the top left, but this isn't necessary. Instead, with Green, hop on the small moving platform and let it take you down to the switch below the first one and activate it. This makes the stone platform in the center of the level move up and down, even if you don't see that yet. Then jump over to the slightly bigger platform moving left and right. Let it take you to the left and drop off at the hut with the cage (where Clue is waiting). Jump on, left or right, and climb down the ladder. Now jump on the moving platform below the cage. Be careful as to jump when the platform is at its lowest point. Let it take you up to the switch below Clue and activate it. All that's left is to grab the puzzle piece with Clue. Note: There are three heart pieces in this level, but the only one you could get without dying is the one below Blue's starting point. And even this is not worth the risk as you'd need to do some stacking of Blue and somebody else after a few risky jumps. Level 7: ```````` Grab Clue with Green and throw him at the two toy soldiers running along the ground floor. Then bounce up to the cage via Blue's head with both Green and Clue. Grab the dog again with Green, stand at the right edge of the platform and throw him to the right as soon as you see the red crab down right of you to eliminate it. Now jump with Green on the same platform where Clue is now. If you want the red heart, throw him once more at the crab beneath it, then get over and grab it. Now climb up one of the two ladders to the switch. Meanwhile, bounce up with Clue to the cage via Blue's head. Activate the switch with Green and grab the puzzle piece with Clue. Level 8: ```````` Use Blue to help up Green to the left and up, so Green can activate the top switch. This makes the stone platform to the left (in the upper left of the level) move up and down. Hop on said platform with Green and let it take you down. Drop off and wait for another moving stone platform shop up below you. Get on that, too, to go further down. Carefully make your way down to the very bottom of the level. Activate the switch down there, then go back to the starting point with Blue to claim the puzzle piece. Level 9: ```````` Bounce up to the small stone platform with Green and Clue via Blue's head. Grab the dog with Green and throw him to the right to get rid of the toy soldier. Jump to the right and activate the switch where the soldier was. This makes a small stone platform further up (above the next enemy) move up and down. Get up with all three using the moving platforms. Grab Clue again with Green when standing on the upper one, right of the next switch. Throw him to the right when the platform is highest to get rid of the vampire (who looks like a troll). Now you have two options. Either go up with Blue using the small moving platform, jump to the left and then jump over the toy soldier to get to the cage. Or you can play it safe and get on said small platform with both Green and Clue, then grab the dog and throw him at the enemy to clear the path. Whatever way you choose, get Green back down a bit to the switch to the left and activate it, then grab the puzzle piece with whoever you have up there. Level 10: ````````` With Blue, climb up the ladder nearby and hop on the switch. This makes the stone platform below Clue move left and right. Now hop on said platform with Clue to go down. Drop down further and step on the switch on the bottom left platform. This makes two moving platforms appear that help going over the spike traps at the very bottom. Now flick the switch near Green's starting point once to make two stone platforms appear, allowing Blue to go over to the others' starting point. Thus get Blue to Green safely, then flick the switch a second time to make the platforms disappear again. Now go down the same way that you took with Clue - just make sure you keep the switch activated that controls the platforms over the spikes. Then get all three to the far right and stack them, Green on Blue on Clue, to get Green up to the last switch. Activate it and go grab the piece to the left with one of the other two. Level 11: ````````` Go down one platform to the right with Clue and let Green drop there, too. Grab Clue with Green and stand as far to the left as possible (close to the center with the ring). Throw Clue to the right, so it eliminates the rightmost crab. If you want, you can play it safe and also eliminate the bottom crab by grabbing Clue with Green, dropping down when the crab's walking away and throwing the dog when the enemy is furthest away. However, it is not even necessary to do so. You'd only need to go down one step and jump over to the middle platform below the ring from the small ledge with both Green and Clue. Then stand on doggie's head and jump up to grab the ring. "We've done it!" 'Mom will be so happy!' 'Our detective skills have helped once again.' "We solved all our crimes by dinner time." THE END =============================================================================== 04.) FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS G0400 =============================================================================== In here go important/helpful/interesting questions the authors received concerning this game. At the moment, which is at the submission of the first version of the FAQ/Walkthrough, there are none, so we make some up. ;-) ______ Q: I didn't activate all switches in some levels. Did I miss something? A: No. Some switches open up paths to hearts - and some just plainly do nothing helpful at all and are just there to distract you. ______ Q: What are the three notes? A: They give you a hint about finishing the level. Since you have a walkthrough on hand you won't be needing to collect these. ______ Q: Where is the solution for the bonus rounds? A: They are random but also very small and shouldn't be hard to figure out. And you don't actually need every last extra life. ______ =============================================================================== 05.)
