This'll kill the monster. Now you must obtain the key. Put a box on #1. Grab the key, and go to the right again. Stand right below the #3 (The box on the map is broken within the first few seconds of the level by the monster) and put a box where the #2 is. Get up on the box where #2 is, plant a box on #3, then jump on it. Go all the way over to box where the first monster walks on. Wait until the monster is standing on it then break the box. Now plant a box on the #1 then the #2 (in case you don't know how to plant the box where the number 2 is, stand on box #1 and face towards the 2. Hold down and hit the A button). Follow #3-#6 (make sure once you make #3, stand on it, then make #4, stand on that, make #5 etc.). Get over to the monster and hit the B button when you're facing him. You'll throw a fireball when you hit B (you didn't use the fireball last level...right?).
