There are 2 options (Game and Options) to choose from. Game ---- If you want to begin a new game, select Game and you'll start in the Practice Level outside Granny's House. With the exception of Practice, each level is divided into 2 parts: Part 1 (3D Mode) and Part 2 (2D Mode). Practice only contains the 2D Mode. Options ------- If you want to see the options, select Options and you'll be sent to the Options Selection screen. You can input passwords, turn the music on/off, and change the difficulty level. Passwords allow you to continue at the start of the level where you left off. =============================================================================== 3.03 - GAME SCREEN =============================================================================== When you control Sylvester, it is important to know the basics when you are on the Game Screen. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 3D Mode Screen =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This screen is viewed from an isometric, pseudo-3D perspective (similar to Sonic 3D for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive). Lives ----- When you start a new game or continue an old one, you'll begin with 15 and 10 lives in the easy and hard modes, respectively. If Sylvester touches an obstacle or gets attacked by enemies, you'll lose a life. If you lose all your lives, the game ends. Sardines -------- There are a few of these in each level. If you collect sardines, you can get an extra life. However, 4 sardines are required in easy mode, while in hard mode 8 are needed. Hearts ------ There are a few of these in each level. Whenever you touch a heart, you'll get an extra life. Items ----- There are a few of these in each level. They can be combined into a new, helpful item if you have the right combination. Up to 2 items can be stored in your inventory. You can drop an item if you want to pick up another one and there’s no room in the inventory. Tiles ----- These are arrow tiles. They can take you to different areas of a level upon stepping on them. Enemies ------- There are a few of these in each level. Enemies include Granny, Hector, Taz, cats, etc. Obstacles --------- There are a few of these in each level. Obstacles include spikes, lightning clouds, electric wires, etc. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 2D Mode Screen =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This screen continuously scrolls to the right and is viewed from a 2D perspective. Health Gauge ------------ This is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Its 8 and 5 fishes are initially powered up in the easy and hard modes, respectively. Each time you get hit by an enemy or obstacle, you lose a fish. Lives ----- When you start a new game or continue an old one, you'll begin with 15 and 10 lives in the easy and hard modes, respectively. If you lose all your fishes, you'll lose a life. If you lose all your lives, the game ends. Fishes ------ There are a few of these in each level. Whenever you touch a fish, one of your Health Gauge's fishes will be restored. Enemies ------- There are a few of these in each level. Enemies include Granny, Hector, Taz, cats, etc. Obstacles --------- There are a few of these in each level. Obstacles include spikes, lightning clouds, electric wires, etc. ############################################################################### 4. Walkthrough ############################################################################### Note: I haven't written a walkthrough for the 2D Mode parts, as it is difficult to write one, since it would be hard to understand, in my opinion. Instead, I've written some general info. If you bump into something, you’ll stumble back a bit. When you catch Tweety at the end, the level finishes. =============================================================================== 4.01 - LEVEL 1: GRANNY'S HOUSE =============================================================================== =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Part 1 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Follow Tweety into the next room. Hints and Tips ############################################################################### This section lists hints and tips on how to progress through this game. They are useful to know if you want to have an easier time completing this game. *Some enemies will chase you, while others will only patrol specific areas. Learning their movement patterns is the key to avoiding them. *If you're having trouble clearing a level, taking a break and resting may be a good idea. *When you are progressing through the game, I advice writing down the passwords you receive after clearing a stage. This game doesn't automatically save your progress, so you must take note of passwords to record it. *When you are avoiding enemies with weapons, watch out. Even if you're a safe distance from them, they can use their weapons to hit you. *When you are trying to get past obstacles, such as lightning clouds and falling shoes, it can seem impossible to continue onward. However, if you position Sylvester in front of a lightning cloud, a lightning bolt should be triggered. After this happens, quickly walk past the lightning cloud to proceed. If you want to get past the falling shoes, learn their movement patterns to avoid them. *If you stay at the entrance of an area and an enemy walks up to you, you won't be able to proceed. To counter this problem, exit the area and re-enter it. The enemy will be back at his original position. ############################################################################### 6.
