The game modes will work the same way with minor changes as you progress through the game. I will list the differences to each game mode based on the stage you are on within that game mode. _____________________________ The Nest _____________________________ The Nest is always in the center of the game mode select screen. You just put the eggs you acquire on each little nest. You must match the correct nest location based on the level. Level 1 - Anywhere Level 2 - Color Level 3 - Number _____________________________ Brain-O-Saur _____________________________ Brain-O-Saur is a matching game. There will be tiles with pairs of letters. The game will start showing you all the letters for a few seconds and you need to remember where each one is. After a few seeconds, they will flip to be hidden and you must move the cursor with your D-Pad and press A to select the matching tiles. It's not too complicated but focus on as many pairs as you can. Look for patterns, for example any pair that are in the corners should be easy. If they're in the same row, focus on those. Just look for the ones that are easier for you to remember rather than going one by one trying to remember them. Learn from your mistakes as wel. If you make a mistake, remember where each one you selected was. Once you clear the board, you will acquire an egg to return to the nest. Level 1 - 12 Tiles/8 Mistakes Level 2 - 16 Tiles/12 Mistakes Level 3 - 20 Tiles (Including Lower Case)/16 Mistakes _____________________________ Dino Bop _____________________________ Dino Bop is similar to Whack-A-Mole except you have to hit the dinosaurs that wear the hat that is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. Right next to the hat icon is the number of times you need to hit dinosaurs with that hat. Once you complete that amount, a new hat will appear and you will have to start hitting dinosaurs with those hats. Simply press left or right with the controller to move the mallet over that dinosaur and press A to swing the mallet. You have five mistakes, displayed in the top left corner. You will not be punished for missing a dinosaur with a particular hat but you will be punished for hitting the wrong dinosaur. Once you've hit enough dinosaurs, you will complete this game mode and head to the nest to return the egg. Level 1 - 3 Spots/5 Mistakes Level 2 - 5 Spots/5 Mistakes Level 3 - 9 Spots/5 Mistakes _____________________________ Dino Driver _____________________________ Dino Driver is a sort of driving mini game. The A & B buttons don't do anything but you can move with the D-Pad. At the top of the screen you will see three dinosaurs appear at a time with a letter on them. Simply touch them in alphabetical order for another set of three. If you hit the wrong dinosaur, you will lose a try. You can make 5 mistakes before you have to restart. Once you hit the last dinosaur, displayed by the counter in the bottom right corner, you will gain an egg. Level 1 - 26 Letters all in order from beginning to end/5 Mistakes Level 2 - 26 Letters all sets in consectuive order/5 Mistakes Level 3 - 26 Letters all random letters/5 Mistakes _____________________________ Feeding Time _____________________________ Feeding Time is a game mode where Frankie will be at the bottom of the screen with two dinosaurs on the other side of the river. Fruit will float down the river from left to right with numbers on them. The two dinosaurs will also have numbers on them or dots over their heads to count. Simply pick up the fruit floating by with the corresponding number as the dinosaurs and throw them to that dinosaur pressing A. You can make 5 mistakes before you have to restart. Once you throw five fruit to the right dinosaurs, you will get an egg to return to the nest. Level 1 - 5 Numbers/5 Mistakes Level 2 - 5 Dots/5 Mistakes Level 3 - 5 Equations/5 Mistakes _____________________________ Flying Shapes _____________________________ This is a mini game in between levels. A shape will appear in the top right corner and you have to control the dinosaur you are flying on to guide it through that particular shape. You can make 5 mistakes before you have to start over. If you fail, you will just continue to the next level regardless or if you hit 7 of the correct shapes you will continue to the next level.
