About Ham-Chat __________________ Ham-Chat is the "language" used to by hamsters in the Hamtaro games. In the text, Ham-Chat wotrds always appear in red. One of the main goals of the game is to collect all 86 Ham-Chat words in the game. These are some things about Ham-Chat that I have observed: *Ham-Chat words are represented by actions and sounds, not just text. *When speaking to another hamster or performing an action, try using the same Ham-Chat word facing different directions. *To make something negative in Ham-Chat, "No" is put before it, such as in "Pookie" (like) and "Nopookie" (dislike). *If a Ham-Chat word ends with a letter after a hyphen, that letter is always capitalized. Uses for Ham-Chat: *Interact with other hamsters *Ham-Jams *Perform actions About the Ham-Chat Notebook/Dictionary: *To view your Ham-Chat Notebook/Dictionary, press Start. *To change the word order in which your Ham-Chat words are displayed, press Select in the Ham-Chat subscreen. *You can put your Ham-Chat words in either the order received or alphabetical order. *Once you get 85 Ham-Chat words, talk to Boss in the Clubhouse; he will give you the finally Ham-Chat word (Hamtast) and replace your notebook with a leather-bound dictionary. *To see the action for a particular Ham-Chat word performed, select that word from the list and press A. Ham-Chat action verbs: Some Ham-Chat words allow you to perform certain actions in the game *Digdig-Dig in cracked ground and enter tunnels and caves *Hiff-Pick up sunflower seeds *Schooie-Crawl up trees, vines, polls, etc. *Scrit-T-Scratch other hamsters and shapern your claws (if you Scrit-T a tree your claws will become sharp while if you Scrit-T something like a rock, they will break.) *Stickie-Push a button *Tack-Q-Roll into something or someone and open chests *Tuggie-Pull something out *Lookie-Look in treasure chests About Go-P: Go-P has no actual use in the game except for angering other hamsters. Crow's Nest word: When you first meet the crow in Sunflower Park, he will ask you the Ham Chat word for "friend". Your choices are Go-P (Bathroom), Blanko (Forget), Zuzuzu (Sleep), or Hammo (Friend). It does not matter what word you pick, but when you summon the Crow again in Sky Garden and Ruins, you have to use the same word; this makes these four words slightly "customizable". ________________ IV.
