INTRODUCTION AND VERSION NOTES ============================================================================== I am your typical mecha obsessed fan, so therefore I like Super Robot Taisen/War games. I've written SRW FAQs so far for Super Robot Taisen Advance and Super Robot Taisen Reversal. The Super Robot Taisen Reversal guide even received a "FAQ of the Month" award for September 2002 which I am very proud of. ^_^ Anyway if you read any of those two guides, you know what to expect with this one. Oh yeah and the FAQ Bounty for Super Robot Taisen Advance payed for most of Original Generation. Thank you Ceej! Actually the SRWR FAQ of the Month Award will be going to SRW@2 too. ^_^; Version .99 08/01/04 I felt like updating while I'm bored. o_O; I fixed some translations, added some extra info, and clarified the secrets. Version .90 01/21/03-1/31/03 Well, I finally finished Ryusei's route. There, the walkthrough is now complete... I also updated the FAQ section, included info on the Ace Pilot System, and put in a Secrets section since it seemed to be a fave of the SRWR FAQ. Now to prepare for SRW@2... Version .42 12/30/02 Kyosuke's path is finished. Maybe I'll get to Ryuusei's before 2nd SRW@ is released... or maybe not. ^^; Version .41 12/15/02 Okay, I don't quite have all of Kyosuke's path done, but I need a break from this game for a little while and everyone is wanting a guide so here it goes. ============================================================================== II. E-MAIL GUIDELINES ============================================================================== First off, please do not email me concerning rom requests or the like. That is like rude and stuff, besides it is not too hard of a game to get and it comes with this zippity nifty keen limited edition book. Please put "SRWOG: (name of subject)" or something similar in the subject heading, I normally do not read emails where there is no subject. Also avoid using caps, bad spelling, colors, or any strange fonts. Please also provide a link to where found this FAQ hosted at. It is not my responsiblity to reply to my email, so do npt pull a mech_gouki shitfit tantrum over it if you do not get a reply. I would highly appreciate any help with the FAQ though, any clarification, corrections, and additional information would be very much appreciated and credit will be given. My katakana translations are pretty literal and only a few I've put in correct form after repeating the name outloud for an hour... (like Rhinoceras) ^^; I do not know cheat codes, I do not use them, I do not see any reason for their need. Do not email on those and don't expect them in the FAQ since in seems to indirectly support playing roms instead of buying the game. ============================================================================== III. INTERMISSION MENU ============================================================================== The Intermission menu is where you examine your units, pilots, equip items, and upgrade your units and pilots. This is how the Intermission Menu is arranged. ----- Units - Unit Examine Unit Upgrade Unit Item ----- Weapon - Weapon Selection Weapon Upgrade ----- Pilots - Pilot Examine Pilot Upgrade Change Units ----- Save - Save Load ----- Continue ----- Unit Examine: Examines the available mecha Unit Upgrade: Upgrades the stats of the available mecha Unit Item: Equip items on available mecha Weapon Selection: Change and/or Equip Weapons for available mecha Weapon Upgrade: Upgrade the weapons of an available mecha (including interchangable weapons). Pilot Examine: Examines the available pilots Pilot Upgrade: Upgrade a pilot's stats or learn new abilities. Change Unit: Change the unit a pilot is assigned to ============================================================================== IV. GAMEPLAY ============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Commands ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ These are the commands available to units, not all units have all of these commands, but this is the order they appear in when they are all available. MOVE ATTACK TRANSFORM FLY/LAND SPELLS STATUS ITEM MOVE: When chosen, the squares a unit can move to are highlighted. When a square is selected, the unit will move to that location. ATTACK: Available when an enemy unit is in range of an attack. A screen is displayed showing available attacks. When an attack is chosen the effective range is highlighted in red. When an enemy unit is chosen, the attack then commences. TRANSFORM: Some units can transform, this lets them do it. R-1 is a fairly obvious example in this game. FLY/LAND: Allows a unit to take off or land, mostly useful to let flying units move on land to reduce their EN consumption. SPELLS: Displays the spells available for that pilot, which can be used when selected. STATUS: Shows information on that unit. ITEMS: Any battle use items equipped on a unit can be used with this option. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Being Attacked ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1st Choice: The computer's automatic selection, normally an alright choice to go with. 2nd Choice: This brings up three options: 2A: Make your own attack choice. 2B: Blocking, which reduces damage taken by half. 2C: Dodge, increase evades rate by half. 3rd Choice: Toggles Battle Animation ON/OFF L/R Buttons: Toggle On/Off Support Techniques ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Support Techniques ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ When allied units are adjacent to each other (not diagonal) and one pilot has a Support skill, a Support Attack/Defend can happen. A Support ability may be purchased for a pilot using pilot points if you wish. Female pilots tend to already have this skill somewhat oddly enough... When attacking, an ally who can support will have a red arrow with an "A" on it pointing toward the ally who is performing the primary attack. The supporting ally must have an attack that can also reach the enemy from their placement for a support attack to work. When defending, an ally who can support will have a blue arrow with a "G" on it pointing toward the ally who is defending the attack. The supporting unit will move in front of the ally being attacked and guard the incoming attack. This is useful for defending a weaker unit, or just to reduce the total amount of damage received. Support techniques can be turned on or off before an attack takes place by hitting L or R at the screen before a battle choice is made, choices can be made for a different unit to support as well by choosing the third option. Also specific attacks may be selected for support, which is useful when using status missiles. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ace Pilot System ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Ace Pilot System from SRWR returns here... but not to the same degree. When a pilot obtains 50 kills he/she will have a star by their kill count and they will start each Scenario at 105 Morale. Unfortunately it can not go up to 110 Morale as it was in SRWR. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Weapons Meter ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SRWOG is incredibly unique by allowing RR units to be able to equip and exchange some select weapons. Lets say that you have been upgrading the machinegun on Excellen's Gespenst Mk. II since she is a natural with guns. You can take that gun off of that Gespenst, and put it on her Weiss Ritter later since it isn't a "fixed" weapon. This system is also useful for trading some weapons to get greater use out of them. Huckebein Mk. II's Chakra Shooter is actually a 1-4 range post-movement melee attack. Kyosuke's Alt Eisen or Ryusei's R-1 will probably get better use out of these weapons with their high melee ability than Brooklyn or Elzam will. Actually I prefer to turn Brooklyn into a melee-focused character (he has natural Infight afterall) and give the Huckebein Mk. II to Gilliam... but that is my own personal preference and I'm totally getting off subject here... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pilot Points ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SRWOG started the Pilot Point system, and in my book it is still done much better here than in @2. MX currently has the best use of the system, but OG only slightly ranks behind. Basically pilots will gain Pilot Points for defeating enemies in addition to money and experience. Pilot Points can be used to raise stats or to purchase skills. Stats can be raised 1 point for every 4 Pilot Points. Here are how stats are arranged: -------------- Melee: Close Range fighting ability Shooting: Long range fighting ability Hit: How accurate a pilot is. Dodge: How well a pilot can dodge. Defend: Determines a pilot's defense. The higher the rating of the skill, the less damage a unit they pilot will receive. Skill: Basically it determines how often a pilot will use a critical attack or be hit by a critical attack. The higher the number, the more likely an attack will be critical and the less likely a pilot will be hit by one. This also influences skill activation (like Sword Cut or Counter). -------------- Skills may also be purchased. This is how skills are arranged: Potential Support Counter Infight Gunfight SP Up Leadership SP Recovery Concentration Hit & Away Attacker Veteran Revenge This is a description of the skills: Potential: This is a pretty neat skill. When a unit reaches below 40% of its HP, then the pilot and unit receive bonuses to hit, dodge, and critical hit rates. The unit's defense will also increase. Support: This allows a unit to provide support attack or support defend. Every level indicates how many times the skill can be used in a turn. Counter: This skill lets a pilot attack first when he/she is attacked. This is particularly helpful when it destroys the attacking unit before it can even attack. Infight: A godly skill. It raises the base damage of melee attacks and can increase a pilot's movement range by up to 2. A definite skill for pilots like Kyosuke, Ryusei, Tasaku, Irm, Zengar, Kusuha (even though I prefer to replace her with Brooklyn), and anyone else you deem fit. Gunfight: Another wonderful skill. It raises the base damage of shooting attacks and can increase a shooting attack's range by up to 2. A definite skill for pilots such as Excellen, Rai, Aya, Rio, Katina, Gilliam, and anyone else you deem fit. SP Up: More SP for every level. A very good skill for support pilots who use a lot of SP. Leadership: This creates a leadership aura around a pilot, and any pilots within that aura get a hit/evade bonus. More levels of this create a bigger aura with better bonuses. SP Recovery: 10 SP Regen per turn. A good one for your support pilots like Garnet and Russel (Rada has this naturally). Concentration: A pilot will use 80% of their normal SP. Good for support pilots, or your attackers that spend a lot of SP. Hit & Away: A wonderful skill for your pilots with long range weapons. This lets them attack and then move, so they will not be left behind the main group. Excellen, Rai, Giada, and Gilliam all have this skill naturally. Aya would greatly benefit from it, and I personally believe that Katina and Rio can make great use of it. Attacker: A pilot at 130 morale or above will do 1.2x the normal damage. I personally think this is a must for your major attackers. Veteran: A unit will only use 80% of the normal EN requirement for attacks. Very good for the EN Guzzlers. Revenge: 1.2x damage when counterattacking. I prefer Attacker over this, but the two together can be very brutal when taking down some grunts. ============================================================================== V. WALKTHROUGH ============================================================================== At the start of the game the player must choose between Ryuusei (blonde haired pilot in blue uniform) or Kyosuke (brown haired pilot in red and black clothing). This walkthrough is arranged in chronological order, with Ryusei's Scenario being given first, and then Kyosuke's version of that scenario being afterwards. In the case of the two characters sharing a scenario, it will be given as Scenario xx-Ryusei/Kyosuke. I'm not going to pretend they are seperate scenarios in an attempt to get more KB. ^^; ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 01-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-R (Elzam) Enemy Units: Megillot x 05 Skill Point: Destroy all enemies within 4 Turns Notes: Ryusei route and no Ryusei... Anyway you have Elzam in a Gespenst... with no weapons... The only thing to do is be inspired by Gadem and the Zaku I and slam into one's enemies shoulder first. ^^; Luckily Elzam has mad skills and will probably go through this Scenario absolutely untouched. There is a trick for the skill point though. First use Accelerate (5 point spell) and move to the square below the southern most enemy and attack it. Use Accelerate again on the following turn and move to the square between the two northern most enemies. On your third turn, move to the adjacent square to the right of the leftmost enemy. Move over to the left adjacent square of the rightmost enemy, and all enemies should be destroyed before Turn 4 is over. Not too hard yet eh? Now let us check in on Ryusei shall we? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 01-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Wild Raptor (FM) Enemy Units: 71th Military Tank Bardong x 02 F-32 Schwert x 02 Skill Point: Destroy all enemies in 2 Turns Notes: This is an easy mission, no way to pretend it is not. Use Accelerate (5 point spell) and Concentrate (15 point spell) and move Kyosuke two squares above the right most plane and shoot the tank to the upper left. A counterattack will destroy that tank, choose to use a missile instead of a beam shot on the second tank, and use the beam shot to destroy the two planes. Finish off the remaining tank to finish the stage and earn a skill point. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 02-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Ryusei) Enemy Units: Megillot x 04 Skill Point: Destroy all enemies within 2 Turns Notes: Use Concentrate and move 4 squares to the left. This will put you in range to counterattack all enemies. Everything should be dead within 2 turns, fun eh? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 02-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-M Enemy Units: 71th Military Tank Bardong x 04 F-32 Schwert x 03 Skill Point: Destroy all enemies in 4 Turns Items: EN Tank Repair Kit Notes: Kyosuke and Excellen are both in Gespenst Mk. II-M units. There is little strategy involved in this battle, at the most you might have Kyosuke use Accelerate to get to the enemies faster, and use Concentrate to improve his evading ability. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 03-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Ryusei) Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Aya) Schultzwald (Rai) Enemy Units: 71th Military Tank Bardong x 04 Enemy Reinforcements: 71th Military Tank Bardong x 03 F-32 Schwert x 03 Skill Point: Destroy all enemies within 4 Turns Events: Enemy Units are Defeated: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: Nothing too complicated. Rai will be able to fire the Schultzwald's shoulder cannons and still be able to move afterwards, so don't worry about using the best attack available to him and have him be left behind. Move your units left and down. Enemy Reinforcements will appear when the Enemy Units are defeated, but it is just more tanks and a few jets, nothing to be concerned with. Rai will join with his Schultzwald. Aya will join with her Gespenst TT. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 03-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-TT Player Reinforcements: Gespenst Mk. II-M x 02 Grungust Reishiki Neutral Units: Thousand Fessler Enemy Units: Megillot x 06 Enemy Reinforcements: Megillot x 06 Skill Point: Thousand Fessler Retreats Events: 3 Enemies Remain: Player Reinforcements Arrive All Enemies Destroyed: Grungust Reishiki Retreats and Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: The stage starts with Brooklyn alone in his white Gespenst Mk. II-TT (and the Slash Ripper attack can destroy any enemy here with one hit). Advance upwards and start facing the enemy units. When 3 enemies remain some Player Reinforcements will arrive. Finish off the enemies before the battleship leaves to earn the Skill Point for the stage. Enemy Reinforcements will appear and Grungust Reishiki will retreat. Finish off these enemies and the stage will end (there is no new Skill Point). Brooklyn joins with his Gespenst Mk. II-T and Zengar will join with his Grungust Reishiki. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 04-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Ryusei) Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Aya) Schultzwald (Rai) Enemy Units: Lion x 01 (Tenzan) F-32 Schwert x 04 Skill Point: Destroy Tenzan's Lion Notes: I love stages with no time limits. Anyway all that you have to do here is destroy Tenzan's unit... Easy eh? Move left across the water, kick some arse, and be on your merry way. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 04-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Thousand Fessler Player Reinforcements: Thousand Fessler Alt Eisen 3 Other Units Enemy Units: F-32 Schwert x 09 Ruon-Tesutotaibu Skill Point: Destroy all Enemies by the end of Turn 5 Items: Chobham Armor: Ruon-Tesutotaiba Suwarichiji Events: Turn 3: Player Reinforcements Arrive. Notes: This battleship is not going to take out all of the enemy forces in 5 turns to say the least... Move it to the right and wait for the player reinforcements to arrive. This is the first mission that allows you to perform unit management before your units deploy. I would suggest moving Excellen over to Kyosuke's old Gespenst since it is slightly stronger and equipping some more weapons on it. All of the units are fairly weak here, so they should provide little difficulty. ^_^ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 05-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Ryusei) Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Aya) Schultzwald (Rai) NPC Units: Shilogwane (Daitetsu) Granzon (Shuu, but its a secret... like anyone doesn't know...) Gespenst Mk. II-M x 03 71th Military Tank Bardong x 06 Enemy Units: Megillot x 07 Fury x 01 Skill Point: Destroy the Megillot units before the end of Turn 2. Notes: Well... this is an interesting stage really. Focus your attacks on the Megillots. Ignore the Fury. The tanks will get some hits on the Megillots to make finishing them off easier. After the Megillots are destroyed, Shuu will become an enemy unit and destroy all of cannon fodder NPC units with a MAP attack, and will then suck Shilogwane into a gravity well and destroy it. Masaki will briefly show up in Cybaster, and everyone will leave. >> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 05-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai F-28 Metsusaa x 02 Player Reinforcements (1): Thousand Fessler 4 Other Units Player Reinforcements (2): Cybaster Enemy Units: Megillot x 15 Enemy Reinforcements: Megillot x 08 Skill Point: Destroy all Enemies by the end of Turn 6 Events: Turn 2: Player Reinforcements 1 Arrive. Turn 3: Player Reinforcements 2 and Enemy Reinforcements Arrive Notes: Use the F-28s to attack any units that get close to them with the Hiryu Kwai providing a support attack. The Hiriyu Kai itself should also be able to destroy an enemy with one attack. When the Player Reinforcements arrive have Kyosuke use Accelerate move toward the enemies to destroy them with counterattacks. Cybaster romps all over everything as usual so this makes for an easy Skill point to earn. ^_^ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 06-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-M (Kai) F-28 Metsusaa (Latouni) F-28 Metsusaa (Garnett) F-28 Metsusaa (Giada) Player Reinforcements: Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Ryusei) Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Aya) Schultzwald (Rai) Enemy Units: F-32 Schwert x 12 Skill Point: Destroy the F-32s before the end of Turn 4 Events: Turn 3 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: It is amazing what some aircraft that are supposed to be of lower quality can do. Latouni will romp all over everything. Kai has a pretty buff mass produced Gespenst that is rather unique in some ways. Unfortunately he is going to lag behind the F-28s here. Move your units left. Have Latouni use Concentrate if you feel it is needed. Player Reinforcements will arrive on Turn 3, and have Aya heal any units that require it. Latouni, Giada, and Garnett will all join with their F-28s after this mission. The F-28s may seem lame, but they are actually extremely useful units. Thanks to the weapons meter system in this game you can equip these things with the ability to repair and resupply. Garnett and Rada (who is on Kyosuke's route at the moment) are highly suggested as F-28 pilots. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 06-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai Alt Eisen Gespenst Mk. II-M 3 Other Units Player Reinforcements: Weiss Ritter Enemy Units: F-32 Schwert x 04 Lion x 12 Guarlion x 01 Enemy Reinforcements: Missiles x 03 Skill Point: Destroy Guarlion by the end of Turn 7 Items: Repair Kit: F-32 Guarlion Events: Guarlion is Destroyed: Player and Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: Excellen is unavailable for this mission and Katina will use Kyosuke's old Gespenst Mk. II-M (which will now be in a red color o_o). Anyway the usual rush in and beat the snot out of everything as quickly as possible. When the Guarlion here is destroyed some missiles will launch toward the base. Excellen will launch in her new unit. Reduce the missiles HP to below 1700 HP to diffuse them and finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 07-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-M (Kai) Gespenst Mk. II-M (Irum) Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Ryusei) Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Aya) Schultzwald (Rai) F-28 Metsusaa (Latouni) F-28 Metsusaa (Garnett) F-28 Metsusaa (Giada) Enemy Units: F-32 Schwert x 09 Killer Whale x 02 Enemy Reinforcements: Lion x 06 Skill Point: Destroy Tenzan's (green haired enemy pilot) Lion within 3 turns of his appearance. Events: Turn 3: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: Move southeast and destroy F32s along the way. Do not worry about the battleships. They are not required for the Skill Point, and will not attack or counterattack which helps make them a low priority. Tenzan is not worth much worry again. Irum will join with a Gespenst Mk. II-M after the scenario is over. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 07-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai Grungust Reishiki 5 Other Units Neutral Units: Thousand Fessler Enemy Units: Lion x 12 Lion F x 01 (Leona) Guarlion x 01 (Julia) Enemy Reinforcements: F28 x 03 F32 x 03 Lion x 06 Guarlion x 01 Skill Point: Destroy Leona's Lion F and then Julia Guarlion before NPC Battleship leaves the map (usually end of Turn 3). Events: Guarlion is Destroyed: Player and Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: Okay, the skill point here is somewhat difficult to obtain. All of the enemy units must be destroyed before the NPC Battleship retreats north. Counterattacks from Alt Eisen and Weiss Ritter are useful, and use your Gespenst Mk. IIs to mop up any wounded enemies. Be sure to finish off the Guarlion last since all enemies will retreat when it is destroyed, and you will not earn the Skill Point. After the enemies are destroyed some enemy reinforcements will appear to the right. Prevent the enemies from touching the base and destroy them to finish up the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 08-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-M (Kai) Wildschwein (Ingram) Schultzwald (Rai) 5 Other Units (Ryusei is unavailable) Player Reinforcements: Hagane Enemy Units: Lion x 15 F-32 Schwert x 06 Enemy Reinforcements: Guarlion (Elzam) Lion x 05 Skill Point: Destroy all Enemy Units and Reinforcements except Elzam before the end of Turn 7. Events: Turn 3 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Turn 5 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: The initial goal is to defend the red square toward the bottom of the map. This will be the launch position of the Hagane on Turn 5. If an enemy touches this square before the Hagane launches, it will be Game Over. Your F-28s can reach the spot fairly quickly and they can even sit on the square to prevent an enemy from touching it if they want. Actually you could send Latouni's F-28 into the middle of the enemies if you would like, the only unit that has a chance of hitting her is Elzam, and he will not be attacking anyone... after shooting at Rai once anyway. Ryusei will launch in R1 and shoot down a missile at the end. Ryusei will then receive Wild Raptor as his new default unit. His Gespenst TT disappears though. o_o; Hagane will now be available for use. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 08-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai Grungust Reishiki 5 Other Units Enemy Units: F32 x 05 Lion x 08 Guarlion x 02 Enemy Reinforcements: Lion x 10 Killer Whale x 02 Guarlion Tronbe x 01 Skill Point: Destroy one of the Guarlions all within 5 turns. Events: Enemy Reinforcements Appear when Enemy Units are Destroyed: Notes: Move your units to the shore. You may want to move your Gespenst Mk. IIs into the Hiriyu Kai for transportation since they will move slowly in the water on their own. Destroy the enemies, but take care to save the Guarlions for last. Destroy all of these units within 5 turns and the rest of the enemy reinforcements will arrive. The Lions are your typical Lions and the sea based battleships take a few hits to bring down, but should provide little difficulty. The Guarlion Tronbe will retreat when its HP goes below 7000, so finish it off with a strong attack for an Apogee Motor. Now say byebye to Zengar and his Grungust Reishiki... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 09-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane Enemy Units: Killer Whale x 05 Skill Point: Destroy all Enemy Units before the end of Turn 6. Notes: First off it may be a good idea to upgrade the Hagane's Armor, HP, and EN. Equipping the ship with some armor would also be a fine choice. Honestly this is a great stage to replay. The battleships make for some easy money, and this is a good chance to get some Pilot Points for Daitetsu. Each battleship can be destroyed with roughly three hits. Just be cautious when destroying the final four ships. Try to attack those with higher HP to maximize the damage from your counterattacks. Do not attack a ship that has less than 3000 HP since a counterattack may be able to finish it off. If you want to replay the stage, just let 6 turns pass and it will be Game Over. Huckebein 009 becomes available after this stage, and becomes Irum's new default unit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 09-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II - R Schultzwald Player Reinforcements: Hiriyu Kai 5 Other Units Enemy Units: F32 x 08 Enemy Reinforcements: 71th Military Tank Bardong x 05 Lion x 12 Guarlion x 01 Skill Point: Destroy all enemies before the end of Turn 7 Events: Turn 3 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Turn 4 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: A pretty simple stage. Unfortunately the only units that will actually initiate an attack are the fighter craft and tanks. The Lions and Guarlion must be destroyed by attacks your units initiate. They are fairly easy to destroy within 7 turns though. Gilliam and Raada will join after the battle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 10-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane Wild Raptor (Ryusei) Huckebein 009 (Irum) Gespenst Mk. II-M (Latouni) Player Reinforcements: 5 Units Enemy Units: Lion x 05 F-32 Schwert x 04 Enemy Reinforcements: Lion x 05 Guarlion-C x 01 (Tempest) Skill Point: Destroy all Enemy Units except Guarlion-C before the end of Turn 5 Events: Turn 2 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Turn 4 Player Phase/GuaLion-C's HP is reduced to below 12,000: Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: Equipping the Gespenst Mk. II-M that is now Latouni's default unit (it was Irum's) with some weapons would be a good idea. I would suggest some upgrades to Wild Raptor and Huckebein 009's speed, but that is just my preference. A surprisingly simple stage though. Wild Raptor and Huckebein 009 are welcome improvements over the Gespensts and F-28s used so far. Lions are pretty easy kills now even. The only difficult part of this stage is the Guarlion-C, but you do not need to destroy it to meet the skill point requirements. Concentrate on the other units, and then focus everyone's attacks on the Guarlion-C. Feel free to take your time, and use accuracy increasing spells if needed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 10-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai 7 Other Units Player Reinforcements: Giganscudo (Tasuku) Enemy Units: SF-29 Raazen x 07 Enemy Reinforcements (1): Lion F x 09 Lion F x 01 (Leona) Guarlion x 01 (Julia) Enemy Reinforcements (2): Grungust Reishiki (Zengar) Skill Point: Destroy Guarlion in Enemy Reinforcements within 4 turns. Events: Turn 3 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Turn 4 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements Appear Enemy Reinforcements (1) are Defeated: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Grungust Reishiki reduced to below 17000 HP: Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: Send someone out to destroy the poor little S32s that do not have a chance. When those units are destroyed the enemy reinforcements will appear around Earth. You only need to destroy the Guarlion within 4 turns of its appearance to earn the skill point, but destroying the Lion-Fs for more experience, money, and points for your pilots to use for skills is always nice. The rest of the Lion-Fs will retreat when the Guarlion is destroyed. Zengar will then arrive with his Grungust Reishiki which is much more powerful than it was before. An event will occur when Grungust Reishiki is reduced to below 17000HP and the stage will end. Tasuku will join with his Giganscudo afer this battle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 11-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane 8 Other Units Enemy Units: Lion x 08 71th Military Tank Bardong x 02 Gun Turret x 19 Enemy Reinforcements: Killer Whale x 01 Missile x 01 Skill Point: Destroy all Enemy Units before the end of Turn 6 Events: Enemy is Attacked: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Turn 3: Cybaster arrives, destroys most of the Gun Turrets, disappears Notes: A strange stage... relatively simple... but strange. Your units start in the water, and apparantly need to approach the island on the top right of the map to destroy a great number of turrets. You don't need to though. Cybaster will arrive on Turn 3 and destroy all of the turrets on the island for you. You need to concentrate on the Lions, those two tanks, a few turrets on small platforms at sea... and that pesky missile and battleship. The missile is a plain old missile though. Just shoot it down and don't worry about leaving it with a few HP so it diffuses. Destroying it is alright for now. Masaki joins with Cybaster after this Scenario. Yay! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 11-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: R-Gun Player Reinforcements: Hiriyu Kai 8 Other Units Enemy Units: BarreLion x 06 Lion x 08 Peregurun x 03 Skill Point: Destroy all enemies before the end of Turn 5 Events: Turn 3: Peregrines Retreat and Player Reinforcements Arrive Notes: The R-Gun is going to be alone for a couple of turns. Personally I focused on the Lions since that will drastically reduce the number of units the reinforcements will need to destroy. Take advantage of R-Gun's close range attacks since it will run out of EN fairly quickly (and again I suggest to save these attacks for the Lions since R-Gun's strongest attack can easily destroy one with a single shot). When the Player Reinforcements arrive have any units that have Accelerate use it and try to mop up those remaining BarreLions. Viletta will join with the R-Gun after this scenario. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 12-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Cybaster F-28 (Irum) Player Reinforcements: Hagane 7 Other Units Neutral Units: Thousand Fessler x 01 Enemy Units: F-32 Schwert x 04 Lion x 08 Killer Whale x 02 Guarlion x 01 (Elzam) Skill Point: Destroy all Enemy Units except Elzam's Guarlion before the end of Turn 6 Events: Irum moves next to Thousand Fessler/Turn 5 End of Player Phase: Irum receives Grungust Turn after Irum receives Grungust: Player Reinforcements Arrive Notes: Irum goes from having Huckebein 009 to an F-28... He doesn't have to stay in it for long though. Irum should use Concentrate every round and move toward the neutral battleship. Elzam will attack Masaki once, and then no longer attack (I like how cooperative he can be at times). Try to have Irum arrive at the battleship as soon as possible since he will gain his Grungust, and basically receive a free move in the process, but also it will trigger the appearance of Player Reinforcements which will help clear off the enemies before Turn 6 ends. I would suggest switching Latouni over to Huckebein 009 before launching. Feel free to put Giada or Garnett in the remaining Gespenst if you would like. Personally I kind of like keeping Garnett in an F-28 and use it as a resupply unit, but that is just my preference so don't take it too much to heart. Irum will keep his Grungust after this scenario ends. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 12-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai 9 Other Units Enemy Units: BarreLion x 05 Lion x 05 Enemy Reinforcements: Lion-F x 04 BarreLion x 02 Peregrine x 02 NPC Units: Gespenst Mk. II-M x 05 Skill Point: Destroy all enemy and enemy reinforcements before the end of Turn 6 Events: Turn 3: Enemy Reinforcements and NPC Units Appear Enemy and Enemy Reinforcements Destroyed: NPC units change to enemies Notes: A strange stage. Some Lions and BarreLions are to the right, and enemy reinforcements will appear to the north. Nothing particularly difficult other than the space between the two enemy groups and that Peregrines take a few hits to bring down. The AI Gespenst Mk. II-Ms will turn into enemies after the rest of the enemies are defeated. They will not counterattack your units, only attack which makes them easier. An event will occur afterwards and the scenario will end. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 13-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane 8 Units (Masaki is not available) Player Reinforcements: Cybaster Enemy Units: Lion x 08 Lion-F x 01 Guarlion x 01 Enemy Reinforcements (1): Valsione Kai Enemy Reinforcements (2): Lion-F x 07 Skill Point: Reduce Valsione Kai's HP to below 80% within 3 turns of its appearance. Events: Enemy Units are Defeated: Enemy Reinforcements Arrive. Valsione Kai Retreats: Player Reinforcements and Enemy Reinforcements (2) Arrive Notes: The enemy units are not particularly difficult even with two character pilots. The Valsione Kai is the big concern for the stage. Try to destroy the last Enemy Unit at the beginning of your turn to maximize the damage you will do to Valsione Kai. EN reducing missiles will help make the battle easier. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 13-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai 7 Other Units Player Reinforcements: Huckebein Mk. II Enemy Units: S-32 x 05 Lion-F x 05 Enemy Reinforcements: Lion-Y x 05 Enemy Reinforcements (2): BarreLion x 05 Enemy Reinforcements (3): Rhinoceras x 02 Skill Point: Destroy all enemy and enemy reinforcements before the end of Turn 7 Events: Turn 3: Enemy Reinforcements (1) Appear Turn 3 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Turn 4 Player Phase: Enemy Reinforcements (3) Appear Turn 4 Enemy Phase: Player Reinforcements Arrive Notes: Ugh... the enemies keep coming here... The plan is to get the Hiryu Kwai to escape by reaching those 4 squares on the top. As with most SRW games destroying all of the enemies will also work. Brooklyn will also finally receive his Huckebein Mk. II and is ready to give some black hole cannon loving to some Rhinoceras units. Actually the Rhinoceras units are the only difficulty here, but you should have enough firepower available. ^_^ Tasuku can also use the Lucky Spell to get 18000 gold from each Rhinoceras. Brooklyn of course keeps his Huckebein Mk. II, feel free to have the available other pilots pounce on his TT unit or steal any available weapons? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 14-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane Wild Raptor Latouni's Unit (whatever she has been assigned to) 7 Units Enemy Units: BarrLion x 12 BarrLion-Y x 01 Killer Whale x 02 Enemy Reinforcements (1): Missile x 04 Enemy Reinforcements (2): BarrLion x 06 Killer Whale x 01 Skill Point: Destroy all Enemy Units before the end of Turn 9. Events: Turn 2 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements (1) Appear End of Turn 3 Player Phase: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Arrive. Ryusei gains +30 Morale. Notes: This stage is a total free for all... all there is to it really. You could have the Hagane flee to the bottom of the screen if you want, or you can blast everything in sight for 9 turns. ^_^ Try to target BarrLions who do not have others to support defend them, and leave the ones with low HP to be destroyed by counterattacks rather than possibly wasting an attack. The missiles are not nukes, so don't worry about needing to diffuse them to avoid damage. They only have 5000HP and there is nono negative impact from destroying them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 14-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai 9 Other Units Enemy Units: Lion-F x 05 BarreLion x 08 Peregrine x 01 (Siebel) Enemy Reinforcements (1): Guarlion x 07 Guarlion x 01 (Leona) Guarlion-C x 01 (Julia) Enemy Reinforcements (2): Grungust Reishiki (Zengar) Skill Point: Reduce the Peregrine to below 22000 HP before Turn 3? o_o; Events: Peregrine turns NPC: Enemy Reinforcements (1) Arrive Enemy Phase after Peregrine is disabled: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Notes: This one confuses me. The Peregrine and BarreLions will try to leave to the left. Reduce the Peregrine down below 22000 and it will change to an NPC Unit and you will attain a skill point. Several Guarlion types will appear to the upper left as a result. Grungust Reishiki will also arrive on the enemy phase on the turn after the Peregrine is disabled. Zengar will retreat when his HP go below 5500, so you must finish him off with a strong attack. Personally I like Huckebein Mk. II being supported by R-Gun. The stage will end when all the enemies are destroyed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 15-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane Gespenst Mk. II-TT (Rio) 8 Other Units (Aya is not available) Enemy Units: BarrLion x 03 Lion x 03 Lion-F x 01 (Ryoto) Guarlion-C x 01 (Tomas) Skill Point: Destroy all Enemy Units except Ryoto's Lion-F. Notes: Apparantly Rio gets Aya's Gespenst... go figure. Anyway there are very few enemies and only the Guarlion-C is worth worrying about. Do not attack Ryoto! That is the single most important thing unless you want to just end the stage. o_o; Don't attack Ryoto, and don't counterattack him. Yeah, I know it is tempting to shoot him the second it looks like he's whining, but he's a cutie and leave the poor guy alone. Focus on the BarrLions, Lions, and Tomas' Guarlion-C. Rio will become an available pilot after this stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 15-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai 9 Other Units Enemy Units: Lion-F x 08 Peregrine x 01 (Siebel) Enemy Reinforcements: Guarlion x 11 Guarlion x 01 (Leona) Guarlion-C x 01 (Julia) Huckebein Mk. II x 01 Skill Point: Destroy Huckebein Mk. II and then reduce Peregrine to at least 25% of its HP before the end of Turn 10. Events: Turn 3 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: The good news is that you have 10 turns to finish destroying everything here and still earn the Skill Point. The bad news is that there are some tough ones and they are spread around the map. >_< Lion-Fs should provide little resistance. The Peregrine you must finish off last and it will retreat when its HP becomes lower. The Guarlion-C and the last Guarlion will retreat when their HP are low as well. Finish off all of these units with a strong attack plus a support attack (or if Brooklyn has learned Rage, that will make the Huckebein Mk. II an effective boss killer ^_^). Huckebein Mk. II or Alt Eisen being supported by Weiss Ritter or R-Gun typically works out well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 16-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane 10 Units Player Reinforcements: Lion-F (Ryoto) Enemy Units: Lion x 07 BarrLion 10 Rhinoceras x 02 BarrLion-Y x 01 (Tenzam) Guarlion x 01 (Tomas) Enemy Reinforcements: Granzon (Shuu) Skill Point: Destroy/Retreat all Enemy Units before the end of Turn 6. Events: Turn 2 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements Appear Enemy Units are Defeated: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: Ugh... this is an ugly stage. Advance your units left through the water, and try to focus your attacks on the Rhinoceras units, Tenzam, and Tomas. Try to destroy the Lions and BarrLions with counterattacks if at all possible. Ryoto shows off how powerful a Lion-F can be luckily, but try not to let him lag behind everyone else since his Lion-F is lacking good weapons to use after moving. After the initial enemy units are defeated... Granzon appears... and you need to destroy it this time (or just have the Hagane reach the left side of the screen if you are scared of Shuu). Shuu is a bit of a pain in the butt, but reduce Granzon's EN with missiles so it can not further reduce the damage from your attacks to make things easier. A few Gespensts will be destroyed, but they are cannon fodder mecha so no big deal right? ^^; Move Hagane left anytime you want, whether it be before or after Granzon's defeat. Ryoto joins after the Scenario with his Lion-F. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 16-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai 5 Other Units Player Reinforcements: 4 Remaining Units Enemy Units: Lion-F x 06 BarreLion-V x 06 Enemy Reinforcements: Lion-F x 06 BarreLion-V x 06 Peregrine x 01 (Siebel) Skill Point: Destroy or reduce HP to 25% on Peregrine by end of Turn 7 Events: Turn 3 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements Arrive Turn 4 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: Interesting stage since Katina and the girls are unavailable for a few turns. The goal for the skill point is to destroy or force the Peregrine to retreat. Again I suggest Huckebein Mk. II being supported by Weiss Ritter or R-Gun for the finish, or if you have Giganscudo nicely upgraded to destroy bosses. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 17-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane Schutzwald (Rai) 9 Other Units (Ryusei is unavailable) Player Reinforcements: R-1 (Ryusei) Enemy Units: Guarlion LB x 13 Guarlion x 01 Enemy Reinforcements: Guarlion-C (Tempest) Guarlion LB x 05 Skill Point: Destroy Tempest Events: Hagane reaches perimeter of island: Enemy Reinforcements and Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: Hagane needs to move to the bottom of the screen within 6 turns to finish the scenario. When Hagane is close to the island to the south, some enemy reinforcements will appear, and Ryusei will deply in R-1 after Hagane is attacked by Tempest. The Skill Point requirement becomes clear now. ^_^ Anyway, defeat Tempest, and any other units you want... just be sure to have Hagane reach the bottom of the screen on the 6th Turn. Ryusei finally has R-1. Feel free to put a pilot in Wild Raptor since it is a nice unit and is empty now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 17-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai 9 Other Units Enemy Units: Lion x 04 Lion-F x 04 BarreLion x 04 Peregrine x 05 Enemy Reinforcements: Lion x 05 BarreLion x 04 Skill Point: Destroy all Peregrines Events: Turn 3 Enemy Phase Turn 6 Enemy Phase Notes: Okay, the skill point here is honestly a big pain in the butt to get. All of the Peregrines must be destroyed before Turn 8 and if one unit is destroyed then the mission will result in a Game Over. To finish the stage, simply move all units onto the 4 squares designated at the start of the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 18-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane 11 Units Enemy Units: Gun Turret x 07 Lion-V x 08 Killer Whale x 03 Guarlion-C (Tomas) BarrLion-C (Tenzan) Rhinoceras x 03 Enemy Reinforcements: Guarlion LB x 06 Rhinoceras (Adler) Kulogane (Elzam) Skill Point: Destroy Kulogane Events: Hagane moves three times: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Player Unit moves toward Tenzam: Kulogane moves next to Hagane and attacks. Notes: This really should be a simple stage, but it can very easily turn into a troublesome (but profitable) experience. The initial goal is to get Hagane to the marked red squares in the bay area. Enemy Reinforcements will appear after the Hagane moves three times. The next part is somewhat interesting though. You could move Hagane to the red squares to lure Kulogane down, or you could send a unit north toward Tenzan to force Hagane to move to the red squares and Kulogane to move down. If you wanted you could not move Hagane the three times and prevent the Enemy Reinforcments from arriving, but you need to try to finish off Kulogane before the end of Turn 7 if possible. On Kulogane you should be able to have one turn of attacking it normally. Elzam's morale will be high enough on the second turn so that Kulogane can use its defensive shielding. Shoot Kulogane with an EN reducing missile so it will be unable to use its shield anymore. The hard part of the stage is in that after the Enemy Reinforcements arrive, it will be Game Over if any single one of your units are destroyed. This makes for an easy loss condition if you want to repeat this stage for money and pilot points, but it can be frustrating if you don't have some Gespensts hiding on the Hagane. After Kulogane is destroyed you have two options. You can either head for the new red squares with all of your units except Hagane, or you can wipe out all of the enemies before heading for the red squares. It is your choice, but if you are going to fight I would highly suggest taking advantage of the +20%HP/EN recharge squares on the base. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 18-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai 9 Other Units Enemy Units: Lion-Y x 12 BarreLion-V x 06 Peregrine x 03 Skill Point: Destroy the main Peregrine before the end of Turn 6 Notes: Yay a fairly simple stage. Head for the Peregrine to the lower left and try to destroy it before Turn 6 for the Skill Point. He will attempt retreating in a BarreLion-V, but Zengar arrives and destroys him. The stage will then end. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 19-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: 11 Units Enemy Units: Gun Turret x 18 Valsione Kai (Bian) Granzon (Shuu) Enemy Reinforcements (1): Guarlion LB x 06 Enemy Reinforcements (2): Guarlion LB x 06 Skill Point: Reduce Granzon's HP to below 40% Events: Player Units reach top of map: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Enemy Reinforcements are Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Notes: Move up the narrow corridor, and destroy the Gun Turrets on the way up. Have your weaker units (Gespensts) bring up the rear. Use the Turrets to help build up morale for the units that need it (Cybaster, Grungust). Attack Granzon first. Again use EN reducing missiles to prevent the use of shielding. After Shuu retreats, resupply if needed, and attack Valsione Kai. Bian will not retreat and will fight to the death. His Valsione Kai will regenerate EN every turn, so keep the EN reducing missiles coming. Enjoy the fireworks... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 19-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kwai 9 Other Units Enemy Units: Guarlion x 18 Guarlion-C x 01 (Julia) BarreLion-V x 18 Grungust Reishiki x 01 (Zengar) Marito x 02 Marito x 01 (Maier) Skill Point: Destroy Grungust Reishiki Notes: Destroy Grungust Reishiki for the skill point, use a strong attack with a strong support attack. You should know the drill by now. ^_~ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 20-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: 10 Units Enemy Units: Megillot x 12 Enemy Reinforcements (1): Megillot x 07 Enemy Reinforcements (2): Jeremiah x 08 Skill Point: Defeat all Enemies before the end of Turn 5 Events: Enemy Units Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (1) Appear Enemy Reinforcements (1) Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Notes: Bleh... Masaki runs off so he isn't available. >< Nothing is really that difficult other than there are a lot of weak enemies that need to be eliminated in a short period of time. The first set of reinforcements will appear toward your start position, so you may want to leave some units behind to destroy that group. The second group will appear to the south of the first group. A third group of reinforcements will appear on Turn 4, but Masaki will arrive and destroy them all with a Psyflash, so they are not really worth listing with the others above. Masaki will not be available for a little while. >_< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 20-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Katina's Unit Russel's Unit Player Reinforcements: Hiriyu Kai 7 Other Units Enemy Units: Megillot x 08 Enemy Reinforcements (1): Jeremiah x 08 Enemy Reinforcements (2): Megillot x 12 Skill Point: Destroy all enemies before the end of Turn 5 Events: Turn 2 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Turn 3 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements Appear Enemy and Enemy Reinforcements (1) Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Notes: Okay, Katina and Russel have probably been sitting in Gespensts or some air/spacecraft for the past dozen scenarios. You have them alone for two turns here, and while the enemies are weak there are a lot of them spread out and Gespenst firepower probably will not be enough. I would suggest putting them in different units in the intermission before (like oh... Weiss Ritter or Alt Eisen). That makes it easier to cut through the first two waves of enemies before 2 turns are even over. ^_^ Anyway the mission will end when all enemies are destroyed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 21-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane 10 Units Enemy Units: Lion-F x 07 F-32 x 06 Rhinoceras x 01 (Tempest) Enemy Reinforcements: BarrLion-V x 07 BarrLion-C x 01 (Tenzan) Skill Point: Reduce Tempest's Rhinoceras to below 30%HP/Destroy it Events: Tempest is attacked: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: I love no time limits. Alright, there are a few things to do here. To complete the stage you need to have a unit reach that little red square on the bottom left of the map. Feel free to send a spare F-28 down there, or send a regular unit while you are mopping up the enemy reinforcements, but it is definitely easier to reach the spot from the air. Tempest isn't too frightening at all here. You can reduce his HP to below 30%, or you can kick his arse totally and net some money, experience, and an item. It is always more fun to destroy these guys when the opportunity presents itself. Anyway, touch a little red square and kick ass. A nice relatively simple mission... definitely not as difficult as Kyosuke's version of this stage. >> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 21-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Alt Eisen Weiss Ritter Huckebein Mk. II Enemy Units: Lion-F x 04 17th Tank Batallion x 03 F-32 x 03 Rhinoceras x 01 Enemy Reinforcements: BarreLion x 04 BarreLion-V x 01 Skill Point: Move 1 Unit over to the palace doors within 3 turns (square that is 18 down from the top and 5 right from the left) Events: Rhinoceras is counterattacked: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: Wow I went through this stage defeating everyone in 3 turns and wondering why I wasn't getting the skill point. ^^; For the skill point you must move at least one unit over to the palace gates. It is marked with a red square when you attempt moving a unit on your first turn. After reaching that spot just finish off the remaining units. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 22-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: R-1 (Ryusei) R-2 (Rai) Grungust Type 2 (Kusuha) Enemy Units: Alt Eisen (Kyosuke) Weiss Ritter (Excellen) Huckebein Mk. II (Brooklyn) Skill Point: Reduce Alt Eisen's HP to below 2000HP before the end of Turn 4 Events: Huckebein Mk. II Attacks Grungust Type 2: Huckebein Mk. II turns Neutral Notes: A little bit harder than Kyosuke's version of the stage. Rai will probably have to attack Kyosuke as well as Ryusei, but not too much to worry about. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 22-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Alt Eisen Weiss Ritter Huckebein Mk. II Enemy Units: R-1 R-2 Grungust Type 2 Skill Point: Reduce R-1's HP to below 20% before Turn 3 without destroying it Events: Turn 1 Enemy Phase: Huckebein Mk. II becomes an NPC unit. Notes: Wierd stage... Reduce R-1's HP without destroying it, and do not destroy any of the other units for the Skill Point. I would think destroying all of the units in 3 turns would be more skillful, but hey if they wanna make it easy... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 23-Ryusei/Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai Schutzwald Gespenst Mk. II-M (Russel) Giganscudo Player Reinforcements: Cybaster NPC: Gespenst Mk. II-M (Katina) NPC Reinforcements: Granzon Enemy Units: Jeremiah x 06 Enemy Reinforcements: Jeremiah x 06 Enemy Reinforcements (2): Mishrei x 08 Skill Point: Destroy all Enemies in 6 Turns Events: Enemies Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (1) Appear Enemy Reinforcements Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear, NPC Reinforcements Appear, and Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: First off equip your Gespenst Mk. II-M units with some good weapons. Katina will instantly turn into an NPC unit at the start of the stage, but you can still use healing spells on an NPC unit luckily. Keep advancing up and left. The fight is easier when the Granzon arrives and starts maiming everything in sight for you. Doesn't Masaki have some cute expressions? ^_^ Masaki will join with Cybaster after this mission. Katina becomes the default pilot for the R-Gun. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 24-Ryusei/Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai Hagane 12 Units NPC Units: Valsione Enemy Units: Lion-Y x 09 SF-29V x 07 Peregrine x 02 Enemy Reinforcements: Guarlion x 01 Skill Point: Destroy Ziebel's Peregrine or reduce it to below 30% HP. Events: Turn 1 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Ziebel's Peregrine is destroyed/retreats: Valcion becomes an enemy unit. Notes: The first mission with everyone together. ^_^ Isn't it nice not having to use a Gespenst? The SF-29Vs are cannon fodder and the Lion-Y's aren't much stronger. Ziebel's Peregrine is pretty easy to finish off since the Rampage Ghost combination attack is now available for Alt Eisen and Weiss Ritter. ^_^ Leona will join after this mission, but will have no unit unless you perform something semi-special. Either have Rai (the blonde pilot of R-2) or Tasaku (the purple haired pilot of Giganscudo) destroy Leona's Guarlion. This will initiate a conversation, and Leona's Guarlion will be salvaged after the battle. The reason these two characters are used is because Rai is Leona's cousin. Tasaku was her romantic interest in SRW Alpha. Basically they are two characters who are closest to her. Valcion will become an enemy unit after Ziebel is destroyed/retreats. The unit only has 5000 HP and should be fairly easy to finish off. She will come back as her normal genki self and join afterwards. ^_^ Ryuune will join with Valsione and Leona will join with her Guarlion or no unit depending on what you did in this stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 25-Ryusei/Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Gespenst Mk. II-M (Kai) Player Reinforcements: Hiriyu Kai Hagane 13 Other Units Enemy Units: Lion-Y x 11 Guarlion x 04 Guarlion-C x 01 BarreLion-V x 08 Killer Whale x 01 Skill Point: Destroy all enemies before the end of Turn 6. Events: Turn 3 Enemy Phase: Player Reinforcements Arrive Notes: Kai is alone with what is actually a decent Gespenst Mk. II-M for a few turns. You should know the drill for the rest. Send some units left to help Kai with the Lion-Y units and send some units up to destroy those enemies. Rampage Ghost on the underwater battleship works pretty well. You may want to run through this stage a few times though. On the next stage is the fight versus Grungust Reishiki that determines whether you will earn the Shishio Blade or not. The only requirements are to have your main character above 50 kills and actually destroy Grungust Reishiki in the next stage. You also need to be on Normal or Hard Difficulty. You may want to replay this particular stage to earn the needed kill number if by some chance you don't have it already. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 26-Ryusei/Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Cybaster Valsione Player Reinforcements (1): (Katina's designated unit, or whatever is left over) (Katina) (Russel's designated unit, or whatever is left over) (Russel) Player Reinforcements (2): Hiriyu Kai or Hagane 10 Other Units Enemy Units: S-32 x 03 17th Tank Batallion x 03 Lion-Y x 04 BarreLion-V x 04 Rhinoceras x 01 Enemy Reinforcements (1): Guarlion x 08 Enemy Reinforcements (2): BarreLion-V x 04 Enemy Reinforcements (3): Grungust Reishiki Skill Point: Destroy (preferably) Grungust Reishiki or reduce its HP below 30% Events: Turn 2 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements (1) Appear Turn 3 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements (1) and Enemy Reinforcements (2) Arrive Turn 4 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements (2) Arrive Turn 4 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements (3) Arrive Notes: Wow lots of Reinforcements are here... Cybaster and Valcion can handle themselves, especially if you have upgraded their EN and Speed. Of course it becomes simpler once the second set of player reinforcements arrive. ^_^ Grungust Reishiki is tough, it will retreat below 14000 HP, so I suggest a strong attack to finish him off and earn that Shishio Blade. Hot Blood of course is always needed. Rampage Ghost works well, and so can another Grungust with a highly upgraded attack. The Rhinoceras will not retreat though, so feel free to gang up on it with whatever is available. ^^; ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 27-Ryusei/Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai/Hagane Cybaster Valsione 13 Other Units Enemy Units: Guarlion x 10 Valsione Kai x 01 (Tempest) Enemy Reinforcements: F-32 x 07 17th Tank Batallion x 03 BarreLion-V x 07 Killer Whale x 03 Skill Point: Reduce Valsione Kai's HP below 60% within 3 turns. Events: Valsione Kai reduced to below 60% HP: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: The big concern starting out is to get some units close to the Valsione Kai to reduce its HP, not that it is incredibly difficult, but it is on the other side of a map with some water areas. Get some strong units up to it as fast as possible since you only have three turns to reduce its HP. Use\ the Accelerate spell if you have it. The F-32s are actually willing to put up a fight this time since they are difficult to hit, are hard to evade, and can actually do some damage. >_< Actually this is not a bad stage to replay either. If you are Ryusei's route you need Ingram up to level 32 fairly soon if you want Huckebein 008L.. Tempest is level 32, and just hitting him gains a decent amount of experience. The Graviton Launcher is another secret weapon and its requirement requires that Ryusei must have over 55 kills if you are Kyosuke's route, or for Kyosuke to have over 55 kills if you are on Ryusei's route. Luckily either pilot came with 20+ kills when they joined, but you still need to finish the amount. This is one of the few SRW games that lets you keep your kill count when replaying a stage, so take advantage of that here. The Killer Whales also give a decent amount of money, so that will help out with your upgrade costs. ^_^ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 28-Ryusei/Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai/Hagane 16 Other Units Player Reinforcements: Grungust Reishiki Enemy Units: Lion-V x 02 BarreLion-V x 07 Guarlion x 05 Rhinoceras x 03 Valsione Kai x 01 Enemy Reinforcements: Valsione Kai x 01 Rhinoceras x 06 Skill Point: Reduce HP of Valsione Kai in Enemy Reinforcements to below 10% but DO NOT destroy it. Events: Turn 3 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Valsione Kai's HP is Reduced: Valsione Kai Disappears, Ririi's Rhinoceras is Destroyed, and Player Reinforcements Arrive Notes: Concentrate your units toward the center of the map for the Valsione Kai to arrive. This unit must have its HP reduced to critical status before the end of Turn 5 or it is Game Over. The unit has Flash cast on it every turn, so your first attack on it will always be wasted. Once the Valsione Kai's HP is reduced an event will occur and Ririi's Rhinoceras will be destroyed and Grungust Reishiki will take its place and change from an enemy to a player unit. Whoop up on the remaining Rhinocerases and enjoy using Zengar's Grungust Reishiki again (for a little while). The Valsione Kai will be an available unit after this mission (if you obtained the Skill Point), but will have no default pilot. ^^ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 29-Ryusei/Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai/Hagane 15 Other Units Enemy Units: Jeremiah-Aph x 04 Mishrei-Aph x 04 Megarooto-Aph x 04 Enemy Reinforcements: Vaikule x 01 Skill Point: Destroy Enemy Units before the end of Turn 4 Events: Enemy Units are Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: Easy skill point to attain, just destroy some weak enemies before Turn 4 ends. The Vaikule is a tough little unit, but will soon retreat. Move all of your units into your battleship of choice within 3 turns of the Vaikule's retreat to finish the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 30-Ryusei/Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai/Hagane Huckebein Mk. Notes: This stage is a complete and total mess. The first wave of enemies is of little concern. The 2nd wave is relatively tough but are not very accurate. The stage becomes tough when Ingram betrays the group. R-3 Powered is Destroyed, and the stage will end if R-1 or R-2 are destroyed. For the Skill Point all enemies must be destroyed first. Another Fury will enter into the battle and the Kulogane will enter and damage the new Fury. Destroy this Fury before going after Ingram (the Kulogane has Hot Blood and a strong attack by the way). Reduce Ingram's HP to above 50% and finish it off with a strong attack (Hot Blood + Rampage Ghost/Grungust Sword Attacks). R-Gun needs to be destroyed if you want to keep the unit. R-3 Powered and Grungust Nishiki will not be available though and Ingram is obviously gone as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 31-Ryusei/Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai/Hagane Alt Eisen 14 Other Units Player Reinforcements: Gespenst Mk. Gilliam returns though. ^_^ Anyway Ezekiel only has 32000HP, so you can use a variety of techniques on it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 32-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane/Hiriyu Kwai Bullet's Current Unit 13 Units Enemy Units: Megarooto Awa x 05 Zechariah x 06 Habakkuk x 07 Ezekiel-Atom x 01 Enemy Reinforcements: Jeremiah-Aph x 04 Zechariah x 05 Grungust Nishiki Skill Point: Reduce Ezekiel's HP below 30%/Destroy it. Events: Grungust Nishiki is reduced to critical HP: Huckebein Mk. II is attacked and Grungust Nishiki is destroyed. Notes: This stage seems rather odd after playing Kyosuke's version. Anyway, destroy some enemies, trigger Grungust Nishiki's appearance. Kusuha will focus on attacking Brooklyn's Huckebein Mk. II (or whatever unit you have him in). Be sure not to destroy Grungust Nishiki or it will result in a game over. Ezekiel is the focus of the stage. Reduce its EN with missiles to prevent it from using shields. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 32-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Alt Eisen Weiss Ritter Huckebein Mk. Events: Grungust Nishiki is reduced to critical HP: Huckebein Mk. II is attacked and Weiss Ritter support defends. Grungust Nishiki is Destroyed and Weiss Ritter is removed from the battle. Enemy Reinforcements Appear Turn after Enemy Reinforcements Appear: Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: Destroying Grungust Nishiki results in a Game Over. The initial goal for the stage is to reduce its HP to a critical state for the Skill Point. All of the enemies will come out of the water to the shore, so you do not have to engage in water combat if you do not want to. Ezekiel-Atom will not move though. It will retreat when its HP goes below 10000, but pops no items so it may not be worth the hassle getting the numbers to crunch correctly since its G-Barrier makes it hard enough to damage as it is. Grungust Nishiki will return after this battle, but Weiss Ritter will remain unavailable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 33-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Cybaster (Masaki) Valsione (Ryuune) Weiss Ritter (Excellen) Player Reinforcements: Hagane/Hiriyu Kai 13 Units Enemy Units: Granzon (Shuu) Valsione Kai (Bian) Megarooto x 01 (no that isn't a joke) Enemy Reinforcements (1): Ezekiel-Sagoru Enemy Reinforcements (2): Jeremiah-Aph x 08 Zechariah x 09 Habakkuk x 07 Events: Turn 3 Enemy Phase: Ezekiel-Sagoru appears Excellen attacks Sagoru: Player and Enemy Reinforcements Appear. Granzon and Valsione Kai change to Megarootos. Skill Point: Destroy all enemies within 7 turns. Notes: You can do yourelf a favor before the mission starts and equip Weiss Ritter with all Accuracy raising items. This is an interesting mission... Granzon and Valsione Kai are just decoys. O_o; Of course you can fight them if you really want to for experience and money (no items though). Really you should just move everyone toward the north part of the map and wait for Sagoru to show up. Excellen needs to hit Sagoru for the next phase of the stage to take place (which is much easier to do if you equipped Weiss Ritter with accuracy raising items). After Sagoru is hit, then it is revealed that Granzon and Valsione Kai are decoys and the real enemies will arrive along with your Player Reinforcements. Anyway, just do the usual move toward the enemies as fast as possible and tear them apart. Destroy all enemies within 7 turns and you have another Skill Point. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 33-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: R-1 R-2 Powered R-3 Powered Player Reinforcements: Hiriyu Kai/Hagane 12 Other Units Enemy Units: Mishrei-Aph x 07 Enemy Reinforcements (1): Megarooto-Aph x 06 Enemy Reinforcements (2): Zechariah x 08 Habakkuk x 08 Vaikule x 01 Skill Point: Destroy all units EXCEPT the Vaikule before the end of Turn 7 Events: Turn 2 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements (1) Appear Turn 4 Player Phase: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Turn 6 Player Phase: SRX is formed Turn 7 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements Arrive Notes: The R-Series is left all alone... but you aren't facing particularly difficult enemies at the start. ^^; I would suggest heading right and a little bit down so you will be close to the real enemy reinforcements when they show up on Turn 4. This is important so the enemies do not start heading left to face your units and will stay where they are, so your Player Reinforcements can mop up the remaining enemies on Turn 7 when they appear. Be sure to destroy all the enemies before Vaikule reaches below 20,000 HP which will cause it to retreat and end the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 34-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane/Hiriyu Kai R-1 (Ryusei) R-2 Powered (Rai) R-3 Powered (Aya) Huckebein Mk. Skill Point: Reduce R-Gun Rival's HP under 40% before the end of Turn 8. Notes: This stage is... interesting. Send some units with high movement rates to the north to maim the cannon fodder enemies while you send your main force directly right to meet the enemy reinforcements when they appear. Actually I would ignore Grungust Nishiki oddly enough. It will focus on Huckebein Mk. II... and will probably miss repeatedly. Do not destroy the unit though with a counterattack, just knock it down to a low HP number, but do not destroy it. Use the enemy units to help build up morale, and focus on R-Gun. R-Gun itself is not too bad... R-Gun Rival is of course the evil one. Reduce its EN with EN reducing missiles. Equip them on units with pilots who can do support attacks (Ryoto, Leona, Latouni, and Excellen spring to mind). Valsione Kai is also already equipped with EN reducing missiles too. When R-Gun Rival has no EN, it loses some of its attacks and can not use any shields to reduce the damage you do to it. Throw on armor reducing missiles if you want to be particularly evil, but R-Gun Rival's armor can not go below 2200. When R-Gun reaches below 110,000, the R series will combine to form SRX for 3 turns. Try to reduce R-Gun Rival's HP to around 64,000-65,000 (any lower and it will retreat) and then finish it off with a strong attack (Rampage Ghost, an SRX attack, Grungust, whatever you like) for the Skill Point. Kusuha will join again with Grungust Nishiki, yay! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 34-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Cybaster Valsione Gespenst Mk. Player Phase after R-Gun Retreats: Player Reinforcements (1) Appear Player Phase two turns after R-Gun Retreats: Player Reinforcements (2) and Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Notes: Ingram's uber R-Gun versus Cybaster and Valsione... This isn't a very long fight actually since Ingram will retreat when his R-Gun's HP goes below 27000. Personally I had Cybaster go upward toward Kai and let Valsione handle R-Gun to be better prepared for the Gespensts that will arrive. The Gespensts have 8000 HP each so they will take a few hits before they go down but are not anything particularly dangerous. The Kulogane and Grungust Reishiki are very helpful too. ^_^ The Gespenst-S is the big concern for the level though. This little monster has 46000 HP (and will retreat at below 13000) and has an attack that will probably destroy any non-upgraded Real Robot easily with a single shot (he liked going after my Huckebein 009... luckily Ryouto showed off some dodging ability ~_~). Zengar will return with his Grungust Reishiki. Elzam will join with Huckebein Tronbe. Kai will join with his Gespenst Mk. II-M, which is ****ing awesome. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 35-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Kurogane Huckebein Tronbe (Elzam) Player Reinforcements (1): Grungust Reishiki (Zengar) Player Reinforcements (2): Hagane/Hiriyu Kwai 15 Units NPC Units: Shilogwane Enemy Units: Zechariah x 06 Megarooto x 06 Fury x 01 Enemy Reinforcements: Zechariah x 06 Habakkuk x 06 Mishrei x 05 Ezekiel x 03 Events: Elzam attacks or counterattacks Fury: Player Reinforcements (1) Appear Zengar attacks or counterattacks: Player Reinforcements (2) Appear and Enemy Reinforcements Appear. Player Units and Player Reinforcements (1) Retreat Skill Point: Destroy all enemies before the end of Turn 5. Notes: Alright, have Elzam use Accelerate and attack the Fury (tentacle battleship). This will make Zengar appear in his Grungust Reishiki. Grungust Reishiki should attack (or counterattack) the Fury for the remaining Player and Enemy Reinforcements to Appear. Huckebein Tronbe, Grungust Reishiki, and Kulogane will now retreat. Move your units to the enemies as fast as possible. Place units to the north and west of the Shilogwane to help protect it from the enemies. Send a strong unit or two after the Fury. Try to finish all the enemies in 5 turns to attain another skill point. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 35-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai/Hagane Alt Eisen 14 Other Units Player Reinforcements: Enemy Units: Jeremiah-Aph x 08 Mishrei-Aph x 06 Megarooto-Aph x 08 Enemy Reinforcements: Zechariah x 07 Habakkuk x 07 R-Gun Weiss Ritter Skill Point: Reduce Weiss Ritter's HP to Critical WITHOUT destroying it before the end of Turn 4. Events: Turn 2 Enemy Phase: Enemy Reinforcements Arrive Notes: Actually not a bad stage at all. o_o; Weiss Ritter will return (which equates to R-Gun eating some Rampage Ghosts) when its HP becomes low, just be sure not to destroy it or it is Game Over. The enemies here are your typical fare, just the Zechariah and Habakkuk units will take a few hits like usual. The R-Gun will not flee this time so have fun taking your frustrations out on Ingram. When R-Gun is destroyed you will have a peek at Ingram's R-Gun Rival before Kyosuke beats him down and sends him off. ^^; ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 36-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane/Hiriyu Kai 16 Units Enemy Units: Jeremiah Awa x 04 Zechariah x 08 Habakkuk x 08 Ezekiel x 05 Ezekiel-Raven x 01 Ezekiel-Atom x 01 Enemy Reinforcements: Missile x 06 Events: Ezekiel-Atom is Attacked: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Skill Point: Destroy all enemies before the end of Turn 10 Notes: Yay, more time limits. Move your units southeast to meet the enemy. Use Accelerate to help out. Missiles will appear in the northeast corner when Ezekiel-Atom is attacked. These missiles are nukes, so reduce their HP under 1000 to disable them. If you destroy them you will cause damage to yourself. I found that Cybaster's Cyflash MAP Attack is an excellent way to clear off the missiles. SRX is now available to be formed. SRX can now also be upgraded and have items attached to it on the intermission menu. Enjoy! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 36-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Cybaster Valsione Player Reinforcements: Hiriyu Kai/Hagane 14 Other Units Enemy Units: Granzon Enemy Reinforcements: Megillot x 01 Megillot-Aph x 05 Jeremiah-Aph x 06 Zechariah x 07 Ezekiel-Atom x 01 Ezekiel-Sagoru x 01 Skill Point: Reduce Granzon's HP to below 70% (below 32000) before the end of Turn 4. Events: Shuu Retreats: Enemy and Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: Cybaster and Valcion alone against Granzon, somewhat luckily you only need to reduce Granzon's HP to below 32,000 for the Skill Point and to make Shuu leave. Shuu leaves after doing one last attack on Cybaster that does 0 damage anyway. o_O; Apparantly that shocked everyone except Masaki... The usual enemies show up along with two Ezekiels, neither of which will retreat by the way. Sagoru seems fond of using an aura image like ability, so I would suggest destroying that one first. The mission will end when all enemies are defeated. Shuu will return after all your units have left to make some comments (hmm, a green map icon, that is different). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 37-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Huckebein 008L/Grungust (Rin) Player Reinforcements: Hagane/Hiriyu Kwai Grungust (Irum) 15 Units Enemy Units: Megarooto-Aph x 05 Jeremiah-Aph x 08 Mishrei-Aph X 08 Enemy Reinforcements: Zechariah x 05 Habakkuk X 05 Gespenst-S Events: Turn 3 Player Phase: Player Reinforcements Appear Enemy Units are Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Skill Point: Destroy all enemies within 7 turns Notes: Ugh... more time limits... Rin's unit for this stage depends on whether you met the previous requirements to get the Huckebein 008L or not. Also if you want to obtain the Spirit of Metal item (which you do), you need to have Lefina, the Hiriyu Kwai captain to be at level 37 or above before the end of this level. Feel free to replay the scenario until she reaches that level before completing the scenario. A very worthwhile item to obtain. ^_^ Anyway have Rin use Concentrate if she is in the Huckebein and move downward and attack a Megarooto, counterattack, repeat. Player Reinforcements arrive on Turn 3. Try to destroy all of the enemy units in as short a period of time as possible to get the Enemy Reinforcements to Appear. You can destroy the enemies one by one and then finish off the Gespenst-S, or you could just destroy the Gespenst-S to force the others to retreat and still obtain the skill point. Huckebein 008L will be an available unit to you now if you performed the requirements for it. It will have no designated pilot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 37-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai/Hagane 16 Other Units Player Reinforcements: Grungust/Huckebein 008L/R-Gun (Viletta) Enemy Units: Mishrei-Aph x 06 Zechariah x 09 Ezekiel-Rawean Enemy Reinforcements: Jeremiah-Aph x 06 Mishrei-Aph x 06 Habakkuk x 09 Ezekiel-Atom Skill Point: Destroy all enemies (excluding reinforcements) before the end of Turn 6 Events: Enemies are Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Player Phase after Enemies are Destroyed: Player Reinforcements Appear Notes: A nice simple destroy one wave of enemies mission at the start, other than all of the enemies are at the opposite end of the map, try to scatter to make it harder to destroy all of them, and there are some terrain issues. >_< Transform any units than can do so, use the Accelerate spell for pilots that have it, and split your units into groups. Ezekiel Rawean seems to have a higher dodge rate than some of the others, but has a lower defense so it isn't too hard to destroy. Enemy Reinforcements will appear at the top of the screen. Take advantage of HP and EN regain if you wish. Viletta returns piloting a Grungust that fortunately has some upgrades on it already. ^_^ Ezekiel Atom will not retreat this time, so feel free to destroy by any means you see fit (wow it looks brutal seeing four Grungusts beating up on something...). Viletta will join after this battle with her Grungust, Huckebein 008L, or R-Gun. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 38-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane Hiriyu Kai 18 Other Units NPC Units: Peregrine x 02 Bureetoan x 01 Shilogwane x 01 Enemy Units: Jeremiah-Aph x 05 Megarooto-Aph x 05 Mishrei-Aph x 05 Enemy Reinforcements: Fury x 12 Skill Point: Destroy all enemies Events: Enemies are Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements Appear, Peregrines are Destroyed. Player and NPC Battleships can now move. Notes: I really like this stage... no time limits, no big bosses, and lots of relatively easy to kill battleships that will easily fetch 20,000 a piece with a Luck Spell. I suggest this stage for a replay. ^_^ Destroy the little cannon fodder enemies. This will make the Furys appear, cause the two NPC Peregrines to be destroyed, and allow all the battleships to move. Destroy all of the enemies for the skill point, and then move everyone to the satellite. Nice, simple, and it can fetch a lot of money if you replay it a few times. ^_^ Besides extra money would be nice to have on hand considering that you will have Grungust Reishiki, Huckebein Tronbe, and Viletta's new unit (Gespenst II-S or Grungust) to upgrade soon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 38-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai Hagane 16 Other Units Enemy Units: Jeremiah-Aph x 06 Mishrei-Aph x 06 Megarooto-Aph x 06 Enemy Reinforcements (1): Zechariah x 06 Fury x 05 Vaikule x 01 Enemy Reinforcements (2) R-Gun Rival Nuke x 08 NPC Units: Peregrine x 02 Bureetoaan x 01 Skill Point: Defeat/Force Retreat ALL Units before the end of Turn 15. Events: Enemies are Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (1) Appear Enemy Reinforcemetns (1) are Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Notes: Well you have access to both battleships here which is unique. The first wave of enemies is simple to defeat. The second wave is more difficult since they are attacking some NPC units toward the bottom of the map. The Fury battleships are relatively inaccurate, just take several hits to bring down. The Vaikule will not retreat, so use whatever attacks you deem necessary but try to save some SP. After the Vaikule is defeated the third wave shows up with Ingram's customized R-Gun and some nuclear missiles. Reduce the missiles HP to critical but do not destroy them. The R-Gun is a huge pain in the ass. The unit has well over 99,999HP (probably somewhere around 150,000HP really). I would suggest using relatively weak attacks starting out and EN reducing ammo. Once its EN is low it is unable to use its barrier and your attacks can actually be effective. It will regain 50 EN each turn though. Once it reaches below 60,000HP it will retreat and the mission will be over. If you did all of that before the end of Turn 15, you get a Skill Point. God that stage sucked... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 39-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hagane Hiriyu Kai 18 Other Units Player Reinforcements: Kulogane (Elzam) Grungust Reishiki (Zengar) Enemy Units: Mishrei-Aph x 05 Zechariah x 06 Habakkuk x 06 Ezekiel x 05 Ezekiel-Viletta x 01 Enemy Reinforcements (1): Habakkuk x 04 Fury x 04 Ezekiel-Atom Enemy Reinforcements (2): Fury x 08 Skill Point: Hagane must reach red square on asteroid on Turn 4. Events: Hagane touches red square: Enemy Reinforcements Appear, Hagane is Attacked by Ezekiel-Atom. Turn 5 Enemy Phase: Ezekiel-Atom destroys Viletta's Ezekiel. Enemy Reinforcements (2) and Player Reinforcements Appear. Hagane reaches red square on satellite: Ezekiel Atom and Hagane destroy each other and stage ends. o_o; Notes: Yay, an easy skill point. Move the Hagane over to the red square on the asteroid within 4 turns and the Skill Point is yours. Clear a path with your units, but there should not be too much concern. Equip the Hagane with some boosters if you feel you may need it... but you probably will not. ^^; After moving to the asteroid, move to the satellite... which offers some really nice HP/EN regeneration. If you want to finish the scenario, just move Hagane to the red square on the satellite. Feel free to destroy all the enemies though. I would suggest using EN reducing missiles on Ezekiel Atom before attacking it though. Actually you can keep destroying Ezekiel Atom if you want to. He will keep regenerating, but he drops a decent amount of exp and money. Just move to the red square when you are done (similar to fighting Zero in SRWR). Zengar will join with Grungust Reishiki, and Kulogane will replace Hagane. Elzam will join with Huckebein Tronbe. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 39-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Hiriyu Kai Hagane 18! Other Units Enemy Units: Zechariah x 08 Mishrei-Aph x 05 Habakkuk x 08 Ezekiel x 05 Fury x 02 Enemy Reinforcements: BarreLion-V x 06 Guarlion x 09 Ezekiel-Atom Skill Point: Destroy all Enemies in Enemy Units and have all units reach the satellite. Events: All units reach the satellite: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Notes: Again you have access to both battleships, and this time you have 18 Units. o_O; Wow, that makes the unit selection a tad easier. Go through the enemies as usual and get through the space debris. These Ezekiels and Furys are not particularly strong, but the satellite gives 30% HP and EN refill each round (which your units can take advantage of). After all enemies are destroyed have all of your units take spots on the satellite, or be in a battleship on the satellite. Enemy Reinforcements will Appear and your battleships will be stuck on the spots they landed. Focus your attacks on Ezekiel Atom to finish the stage. Ezekiel Atom has some more HP than usual, is better armored, and of course he can take advantage of the satellite bonusese as well. Lock On spells might be needed, but the stage will end when Atom is destroyed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 40-Ryusei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Kulogane 20! Events: Turn 2 Enemy Phase: Enemy Units Appear Enemy Units Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (1) Appear Enemy Reinforcements (1) Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Enemy Reinforcements (2) Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements (3) Appear Notes: This is actually a rather fun stage... until the last set of reinforcements. Anyway move your units up to the horizontal portion of the road to meet the enemy units when they appear. Try to take them out fairly quickly since you need the Valsione Kais to show up for the Skill Point. Actually if you have your units decently upgraded... you will probably blink after shortly decimating the Valsione Kais within a round or two. ^^; The dopplegangers... are... interesting. Actually it is a rather wierd encounter since Guarlion-C ends up having more HP than SRX? Brooklyn shows up in Wildschwein instead of Huckebein Mk. II. o_o; At least Viletta joins here in either a Grungust or Gespenst II-S depending on what requirements you met earlier. The third set of reinforcements is the real pain in the arse. Customized Guarlions and BarrLions are a nuisance, but shouldn't be worth too much concern. Sagoru will wait for you to come to her, while the other enemies will advanced toward you. Take advantage of that fact. Atom also won't be using shields this time for some odd reason, so don't worry about EN missiles with him. Sagoru's Vaikule is a pain though. Your units are probably low on EN, Ammo, and your SP are probably rather depleted. Resupply your units as neeeded before advancing toward her. Start the attack with the usual EN missiles (and try to use support attack EN Missiles too). Sagoru will be using shielding so reducing her EN is essential. Unfortunately she also has EN reducing missiles of her own, that have the added effect of adding your decreased EN to her EN. >_< Anyway fire off EN missiles, wail on Sagoru, use spells as needed (Sure Hit), repeat. Viletta will join after this stage with whatever unit she arrived in. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 40-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: 20 Units Enemy Units: Gespenst-S Valsione Kai x 04 Enemy Reinforcements: R-Gun Rival Skill Point: Defeat Gespenst-S within 6 turns. Events: Geshpesnt-S is Destroyed: Enemy Reinforcements Arrive Notes: Not too much to say. Focus on the Gespenst-S for the Skill Point. Finish off the Valsione Kais, and then fight Ingram. Again reduce his EN so you can actually get some decent damage on him, and then unleash your best attacks while he has no EN. The stage will end when Ingram is Defeated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 41-Ryusei Part 1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Kulogane 20 Units Enemy Units: Zechariah x 03 Habakkuk x 03 Ezekiel x 03 R-Gun Rival (Ingram) Skill Point: Destroy R-Gun Rival within 7 Turns Events: R-Gun Rival is Destroyed: All Enemies Retreat, and there is a change of location. o_o; Notes: Unfortunately not enough enemies to get your morale raised very high, the good news is that even though there is another portion of this stage, you can feel free to use SP, EN, and Ammo to your heart's content. R-Gun Rival is tough and not too bad at the same time. As usual have a pilot with a support ability in Valsione Kai (like oh, Leona) and have two other support type units equipped with EN Reducing Missiles. Use EN Missile with another EN Missile as a support attack. Do this until R-Gun Rival has no EN so it can not use shielding, and it loses one of its attacks. Proceed to hit it with everything you have. Repeat as needed. After R-Gun Rival is destroyed... the team escapes the base and.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 41-Ryusei Part 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: Kulogane Hiriyu Kwai 20 Units Enemy Units: Vaikule x 15 Judecca (Rebi) Notes: Avoid the impulse to head for the satellite, actually keep your battleships away from the battle because they will be torn up in a short period of time and you will have to start from the very beginning of the stage again (saving in the middle of this stage is a good idea... hell doing it after every character turn might be in your best interest). Slowly work your way from Vaikule to Vaikule and build up your morale. Destroy all the Vaikules before going after Rebi's Judecca. Move the usual three EN reducing units in place as usual. Actually you may want to hold off a couple of rounds and let Rebi use her two MAP shots and get it out of the way (and since ya have instant 30% HP/EN Regeneration, it is of little concern). Reduce Judecca's EN when you are ready, and throw everything you have at it. Personally I'm a big fan of SRX using its strongest with Hot Blood, with Ryusei having cast Move Again. Latouni can also cast it on SRX one or two times. This could easily take 100,000 off of Rebi, and you still can move everyone else. ^_^ Repeat the process for the next round or two as needed. It is possible to take Rebi down in one turn though. Anyway if you did not fulfill the requirements for the next stage, I hope ya enjoy the ending. Thank you for playing Super Robot War Original Generation. ^_^ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 41-Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units: 20 Units Enemy Units: Vaikule x 20 Judecca (Rebi) x 01 Skill Point: Destroy Judecca before the end of Turn 10. Notes: Wow, and I thought R-Gun Rival was a huge pain in the arse. Rebi is really tough to beat, and you have to do it within 10 turns. Before the mission starts I would suggest equipping some units with EN and Armor reducing missiles. Personally I had Leona in the Valcione Kai (which is already status missile equipped), Elzam's Huckebein Tronbe, and Excellen's Weiss Ritter which can all support each other. Move your units upwards destroying some Vaikules along the way but save your SP and try to conserve on ammo and EN. Try to let units who need morale boosts for their best attacks (such as Grungusts) get the final blows in for the +5 morale boost, When you are almost ready to attack Rebi have your units get into a position to where they can attack her (close combat units be within movement range, long range units within range to initiate attacks, try to set up support capable pilots in appropriate spots). Have your status missile units on a line with each other and all within range so you can reduce Rebi's EN and Armor before the real attacks start so they will be effective. Status missile units should attack first with their missiles. Use the third option on the attack menu to choose for a support unit to use a status missile as well so you can reduce Rebi's status in various ways without using too many turns. Have your units then attack with everything they have. Be careful of Rebi's own EN reducing missile since it will cause her to regain EN. With any luck you will have finished Rebi off within three turns... after that it is basically hopeless to defeat her. >_< If you have not met the requirements to go to the next stage, then you have finished. Thank you for playing Super Robot War Original Generation. ^_^ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scenario 42/Secret Scenario-Ryusei/Kyosuke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Player Units Hiriyu Kai Hagane/Kulogane 20 Other Units Enemy Units: 71th Tank Batallion x 04 F-28 x 04 F-32 x 04 Rhinoceras x 03 Ezekiel x 04 Habakkuk x 04 Sepetagin x 01 Enemy Reinforcements (1): Fury x 05 Enemy Reinforcements (2): Vaikule x 08 Events: Sepetagin loses approxminately 60,000 HP: Enemy Reinforcements Appear Sepetagin reaches 50% HP: Enemy Reinforcements (2) Appear Notes: This is the "secret" stage of the game. Just stay in Hard Mode by collecting lots of skill points and you will come here after Scenario 41. Sepetagin may have stronger attacks and more HP than Rebi... but doesn't seem to regain as much EN and HP per turn thank goodness. All of the squares circling Rebi will also give a 20% HP and EN recharge to any units standing on them. Anyway a similar thing as with Rebi. Defeat all of the enemy units, while letting those who need the morale get the finishing blows in. Set up your units so they can start attacking Sepetagin on the next round and get Status Missile units in place again. Repeat the same thing before as Rebi, but you may want to use some accuracy reducing missiles as well. Thank you for playing Super Robot War Original Generation. ^_^ ============================================================================== VI. COMBINATION ATTACKS ============================================================================== Combination Attacks are very specific attacks that only certain characters/mecha possess with certain other characters/mecha. These attacks often have a specific range and those performing the attack must be within close range of each other. SRWOG only has two combination attacks, and here they are. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rampage Ghost: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Performed by: Alt Eisen and Weiss Ritter Range: 1-4 EN Required: 60 of each Morale Required: 120 of each Placement: The unit initiating the attack must be in range of target, and the support unit must be adjacent or diagonal to the attacking unit. Description: Enemy is absolutely romped on with almost everything Alt Eisen and Weiss Ritter have (and don't have in the case of Weiss Ritter's beam knife). Note: This attack is not available until after Scenario 22. It is considered a melee attack. I would suggest having Excellen attack a unit with her Oxton Launcher from afar, and then move into position so that Kyosuke can initiate the attack. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ R-Formation: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Performed by: R-1, R-2 Powered, R-3 Powered Range: 1-5 EN Required: 60 of each Morale Required: 120 of each Placement: The unit initiating the attack must be in range of target, and the support unit must be adjacent or diagonal to the attacking unit. Description: R-2 and R-3 use their respective morale attacks and R-1 rushes in and delivers a T-Link Knuckle. Note: This attack is not available until after Scenario 30. It is considered a Shooting attack and can be used post-movement. It may be better for Ryusei to stick with his melee attacks and have Aya and Rai use this combination attack. ============================================================================== VII. SECRETS ============================================================================== SRWOG continues the proud SRW tradition of hiding various little things. The secrets here are not as big as they are in other games, but they are not so easy to recognize. The whole Gespenst II-S/Grungust/Huckebein 008L situation is still being discussed. ^^; Anyway I arranged the secrets that are known here in alphabetical order. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gespenst-R ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ One of two Kyosuke route exclusives... makes ya think Banpresto likes Ryusei better. *ahem* Well maybe this can be obtained on Ryusei's route, but no one knows which character may have the level requirement. Gilliam needs to be at level 23 or higher before the end of Scenario 19. Gilliam will return with this particular unit when he returns in Scenario 31. The most notable thing about this unit is the Neutron Cannon, which has an unbelievable range and is a (P) attack as well. It is just simply awesome (even though it looks like your generic Mega Beam Rifle) in terms of performance, particularly if you purchased Gunfight for Gilliam. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gespenst Mk. II-S ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A Ryusei route exclusive. The requirements for this unit is that you must destroy R-Gun when Ingram betrays the group. Viletta will automatically show up in this unit later on Ryusei's route then. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gespenst Mk. II-TT Upgrade Carry Over ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You may notice that Ryusei's Gespenst Mk. II-TT has a totally different upgrade slot availability compared to Aya's. This is because Ryusei's Gespenst Mk. II-TT will disappear when Wild Raptor is obtained, and all upgrades (except to Weapon Meter items) will carry over to Wild Raptor. Mk. II-TT's T-Link Ripper upgrades will go to Wild Raptor's Under Cannon in Flight Mode. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Graviton Launcher ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I love this gun... Definitely more useful than the Shishio Blade, but it is actually difficult to obtain. o_o; If you are using Ryusei, then Kyosuke needs 55 kills before the end of Scenario 32. If you are using Kyosuke, then Ryusei needs 55 kills before the end of Scenario 32. Any unit with a weapons meter can take advantage of this weapon. My personal preference is putting it on Huckebein 009 with Latouni piloting. The unit then feels like a real Huckebein. ^_^ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Grungust ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It is possible to receive another Grungust on Kyosuke's route. Simply destroy R-Gun and DO NOT fulfill the requirements for Huckebein 008L. Viletta will arrive in this unit instead and will come with a few upgrades already. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Guarlion ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wow this is kind of tricky. When Leona shows up in Scenario 24, have either Rai or Tasuku destroy her unit. She will join with this after the stage. Actually it is pretty nice, unfortunately it doesn't come with upgrades like the Lion-F. I personally like Leona better in the Valsione Kai, but this beats the hell out of someone using a Gespenst (or the Lion-F for that matter). Giada is a nice choice with his high melee stat and natural Hit & Away. I have recently enjoyed using this unit as a high performance repair/resupply unit. O_o; ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hero Symbol ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A nice item. Armor +200, Evade +25, Accuracy +30%. You want that right? Ryusei Route: Daitetsu (Hagane Captain) needs to be level 35 or above before the end of Scenario 34 (you can finish leveling him up in this stage). Kyosuke Route: Lefina (Hiriyu Kai Captain... damn she's cute) needs to be level 35 or above before the end of Scenario 34 (you can finish leveling her up in this stage). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Huckebein 008L ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ah, one of the big secrets of the game actually. Ryusei Route: Ingram must be at level 32 before the end of Scenario 29. Rin will be piloting Huckebein 008L in Scenario 37 and you will receive the unit afterwards. ^_^ Kyosuke Route: Viletta needs to be level 23 or above by the end of Scenario 19. Awesome unit, but give it some non-morale required weapons. The pilot might also benefit from having Hit & Run, and Veteran/Beteran to reduce the EN cost of the Black Hole Cannon. An EN Recharge item would also be a good idea. I personally like Rio in the unit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kai ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kai will only permanently join on Kyosuke's route. Kai will join with his semi-special Gespenst II-M after Scenario 34. There is a bug in the game that actually lets you have two Kais in your party. My own theory is that Kai's unit needs to be destroyed on Scenario 34 after reinforcements arrive. It is also possible to get Kai on Ryusei's route by having him be defeated on that stage after reinforcements arrive. This sometimes results in a game over though. It is a bug afterall, but when it works out it is quite nice, particularly since Kai's Gespenst Mk. II-M is one of the strongest RRs in this game (easily beating out Wildschwein, and easily on par with Alt Eisen and R-1). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lion-F ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A Ryusei route exclusive, and it is a compulsory unit on that route. This is Ryoto's default unit, and will be available when he joins the group. It flies and has a nice railgun. You might want to give it some better post-movement attacks though. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Metal Soul ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ An item that gives +250 Armor, +30 Mobility, +35% Accuracy. You want it right? Ryusei Route: Lefina (Hiriyu Kai Captain... damn she's cute) needs to be level 38 or above before the end of Scenario 37 (you can finish leveling her up in this stage). Kyosuke Route: Daitetsu (Hagane Captain) needs to be level 38 or above before the end of Scenario 37 (you can finish leveling him up in this stage). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ R-Gun ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Alright, R-Gun shows up fairly normally on Kyosuke's route, and will be with all the units that join you in Scenario 22 on Ryusei's route. Ingram of course steals this unit later on in the game, but it is possible to keep it... actually it is rather easy to... When Ingram steals the R-Gun, blow it up in that stage. Your group will collect the R-Gun pieces and rebuild it good as new. If you do not destroy the R-Gun on this stage, then Viletta will show up in an R-Gun later in the game. You really do want to destroy the R-Gun when Ingram steals it though because 1.) You get permanent access to R-Gun sooner and 2.) it is a pre-requisite for Viletta showing up in a neat suit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Shishio Blade ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A very useful equippable weapon I must say. 4000 Base AT and an S on all terrain. The requirements are pretty simple too. Have your main character, depending on your route, have 50 kills or more before the end of Scenario 26 and destroy Grungust Reishiki in that stage. You must also be on "Hard" Difficulty. I personally like having this on R-1 when I'm on Kyosuke's route. If I'm on Ryusei's route then I usually let Alt Eisen have it since Ryusei is busy piloting SRX which romps over all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SRX ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Okay, this is basically not a secret as well. SRX will only show up in Scenario 33 on Kyosuke's route and it can not be used ever again on that route. SRX will first show up on Ryusei's route in Scenario 34. After Scenario 36 you can upgrade SRX itself (oooo... 8100 Base AT upgraded), and then combine anytime within a stage as long as R-1, R-2, and R-3 are next to each other (in a horizontal or vertical line, various L shapes, whatever you want). My personal suggestions if you are going to use this unit: Upgrade the unit itself and weapons you believe are useful. Equip a Generator and an EN Recharge item. Ryusei would benefit from knowing Beteran/Veteran to further help with EN issues. Equip R-1 with morale raising items so that Ryusei will have a nice starting morale. I think the unit is well worth using. ^_^ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Valsione Kai ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Scenario 28 of both routes (it is a shared stage), reduce the HP of the Valsione Kai in the middle of the map to 10% without destroying it. The unit will be available after the stage with no designated pilot. Hit & Run and Veteran/Beteran would be useful skills to the pilot to keep moving and reduce the EN cost. Item wise I'd go with some generators to increase its EN total so that its EN recover works better. Only two actual weapons, but they are quite effective, and the unit can use status missiles, including the EN reducing variety which are essential for some of the big bosses in the game. ^_^ ============================================================================== VIII. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. I need help identifying pilots and units, what can I do? A. http://srwog.bravehost.com is a site that I made to help wtih that problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. Can I play this game on a USA/NA or European Game Boy Advance? A. Yes. GBA does not have any territorial lock outs, so you can play import games The game also works wonderfully on a Gamecube Gameboy Player from any region. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. How many Scenarios/Levels/Missions are there? A. There are 42 scenarios from beginning to end on each path. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. Is Mazinkaiser/Shin Getter/Wing Zero/whatever mech I want from an anime series in this game? A. No. See the title Original Generation? This game only has -original- Banpresto characters from the various SRWs they have made. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. Is Axel/Lamia or Raul/Fiona in this game? A. No. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. When does Latouni take off her glasses? A. After Scenario 31. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. When do the two groups unite? A. After Scenario 22. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. I know SRX is in the game... but where? A. Scenario 33 is the only time SRX is available on Kyosuke's route. SRX will first appear in Scenario 34 on Ryusei's route, and will be available for use after Scenario 36. Simply move R-1, R-2, and R-3 next to each other and you can combine. I would suggest moving R-2 and R-3 toward R-1 so that you may move SRX after it is formed. Actually put some morale raising items on R-1 so Ryusei has a nice starting morale. ^_^ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. Does Kulogane retain Hagane's upgrades? A. Yes Kulogane retains Hagane's upgrades. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. What characters leave the group permanently? A. Ingram is the only one who will leave permanently. Zengar and Viletta will both return late in the game. Gilliam leaves for a short peroid of time on Kyosuke's route. Masaki will also leave for a very short period of time on Ryusei's route. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. Are there really only two combination attacks? A. There are only two combination attacks in this game. Yes a mass Grungust and/or Huckebein beatdown would be cool, but you will not find it here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q. I want to know more about the characters! Tell me! A. Check out Dagwon's excellent Originals Guide. It can be found on GameFAQs by searching under Super Robot Taisen F (for PS or Saturn). ============================================================================== IX.
