Super Robot Wars J - Items / Skill Parts Hacking Guide Author: UlricVonMesnar E-Mail: ulricvonmesnar@hotmail.com Last Update: 2/04/06 =============================================================================== Table of Contents =============================================================================== 1)Introduction 2)List of codes 3)Disclaimer 4)Credits =============================================================================== 1)Introduction =============================================================================== This is a guide for all of you cheaters who like having all those items you are given two or three of each at the amount of 99 or so. I won't explain how to change a memory address value, I suppose that if you are reading this guide it's because you're used to all this stuff and didn't want to spend one hour or so searching for the exact place where the amount of items is stored (yeah, it's a really easy thing), so don't email me asking. If my English stinks, sorry, I'm Spanish :P It's not dangerous altering memory addresses if you don't touch what you shouldn't touch, I mean, if you change what I say you can change and the way I say you can change it you'll have no problem. Other way I don't know what can happen to your game or your saved game and I'm not responsible for it. This is my first ever FAQ, and I don't think I'll update it. If you want to change an amount of an item I've not listed just take SkyBlazerW's Item FAQ and go counting from the last item I've listed to the item you want to change to get the address, it's that simple. =============================================================================== 2)List of codes =============================================================================== Some basics before you go crazy changing values on memory: - All values are always 1 byte (8 bits) long, meaning that values go from 0 to 255. Don't try to be so smart as to put a 999 amount of an item (I guess whatever you use to change the values won't let you do such a thing anyway). Other thing you can extract from this is that if Item1's address (hexadecimal) is 020297b1, Item2's address will be 020297b2. Easy, huh? - If you enter an amount of more than 105 items/skill parts, the game will crash when you try to see the 106th slot, that is trying to see page 16 of the list for that item to assign. - Entering an amount of items over 128 makes the game think you don't have any of that item. You get to see an empty list of slots for that item when you select it. - If you're using an emulator, once you change the value you can just let the value you entered constant or deactivate the cheat and let the value grow when you get another item of that kind. It's quite recommended not to let consumable items constant unless for what could happen when you use up one. Just try to not let the amount of items go over 105 in your game and nothing bad should happen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Items ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Items list starts at address 020297b1 (in hexadecimal) I've grouped items the way you see them in pages, codes go like this: 020297b1 - Booster 020297b2 - Mega-Booster 020297b3 - Super High Performance Artificial Intelligence (very recommended) 020297b4 - High Performance Thruster 020297b5 - Hyper Sensor 020297b6 - Turbo Motor 020297b7 - Apogee Motor 020297b8 - Lifter Module (very recommended) 020297b9 - Flight Unit 020297ba - Aqua Module 020297bb - Hover Craft 020297bc - Thruster Module 020297bd - Anti-Dust Device 020297be - A Adapter 020297bf - S Adapter 020297c0 - High Performance Radar 020297c1 - All-Range Radar 020297c2 - High Performance Targeting Radar 020297c3 - Multi-Lock-On SYS 020297c4 - Sniper Scope 020297c5 - Super High Performance OS 020297c6 - High Performance OS 020297c7 - Study Type OS 020297c8 - EN Chip 020297c9 - EN Mega Chip 020297ca - EN Giga Chip 020297cb - Chobum Armor 020297cc - Hybrid Armor 020297cd - Super Alloy Z 020297ce - Super Alloy New Z 020297cf - Super Alloy New Z Alpha 020297d0 - Power Extender 020297d1 - Mega Generator 020297d2 - Solar Cell 020297d3 - Organic Bit 020297d4 - Anti-Beam Coating (Small) 020297d5 - Anti-Beam Coating (Medium) 020297d6 - Anti-Beam Coating (Large) 020297d7 - Laminate Armor 020297d8 - Barrier Creating Device (Small) 020297d9 - Barrier Creating Device (Medium) 020297da - Barrier Creating Device (Large) 020297db - Giant Magazine 020297dc - Super Giant Magazine 020297dd - Propelant Tank 020297de - Repair Kit 020297df - Cartridge 020297e0 - Emergency Food I've read SkyBlazerW's item guide and I've found that there're some kind of Seishin Equipping Items that go after the Emergency Food, but I've not reached the point of the game where you get that kind of items (I haven't even finished the game once, don't have enough free time...) so I won't list them. You can try with a savestate of an emulator if you wish and change the values after 020297e0 and see what happens, it's up to you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skill Parts ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skill Parts list starts at address 02029787. List of Skill Parts comes from Kibbitz FAQ (hope he put all Skill Parts in order... if you find something wrong just email me and I'll change it... someday :P) Again, list is shown as you get them in the game, codes go like this: 02029787 - Melee + 5 02029788 - Melee + 10 02029789 - Melee + 15 0202978a - Marksmanship + 5 0202978b - Marksmanship + 10 0202978c - Marksmanship + 15 0202978d - Defense + 5 0202978e - Defense + 10 0202978f - Defense + 15 02029790 - Competency + 5 02029791 - Competency + 10 02029792 - Competency + 15 02029793 - Accuracy + 5 02029794 - Accuracy + 10 02029795 - Accuracy + 15 02029796 - Evasion + 5 02029797 - Evasion + 10 02029798 - Evasion + 15 02029799 - Seishin Points + 10 0202979a - Seishin Points + 15 0202979b - Seishin Points + 20 0202979c - Starting Morale + 5 0202979d - Starting Morale + 8 0202979e - Starting Morale + 10 0202979f - SP Cost -10% 020297a0 - SP Cost -20% 020297a1 - SP Cost -30% 020297a2 - Support Attack + 1 020297a3 - Support Attack + 2 020297a4 - Support Attack + 3 020297a5 - Support Defend + 1 020297a6 - Support Defend + 2 020297a7 - Support Defend + 3 020297a8 - Potential + 1 020297a9 - Potential + 2 020297aa - Potential + 3 020297ab - Combo + 1 020297ac - Combo + 2 020297ad - Combo + 3 020297ae - Counter 020297af - Hit & Away =============================================================================== 3)Disclaimer =============================================================================== This may be not be reproduced under any circumstances except for personal, private use.
