Introduction =============== Summon Night - Craftsword Monogatari (The Story of The Craftsman's Sword) was released 25th April and costs around 5800 Yen. At the time of writing this, Summon Nights I and II is also available for the PC at the same price. There is also a Summon Nights III which has a release date of August 7th 2003 for the PS2. Unfortunately, like this GBA release, they are all in Japanese only. The Summon Nights series of games is based on a world where Linbalm, a sacred land full of mana, and four other dimensions exists. The four dimensions are part of a reincarnation cycle and Linbalm is a place for the surplus spirits. Summoning is also common amongst the people of Linbalm as there is no other way to call things from those dimensions. In this game, the mystical tale is based on one main character who has a dream of becoming a high craftsman. He/She (the main character can be a male or a female) is the son/daughter of Shintetsu, a famous high craftsman in the land of Linbalm. He is called a hero for saving the world 3 years ago. Now his son/daughter must make his/her way through a tournament forging one's own weapons to become a high craftsman. But everything is not what it seems... 2. Version History ================== v1.00 - Original guide. v1.10 - Added note to the start of the walkthrough to clear up the confusion about what "GB" means. - Added translations of weapon type descriptions in "Forging Weapons". v1.11 - Some more patching up. 3. You can equip a total of 3 weapons and one piece of accessory. Use the L and R buttons to switch between your Guardian Beast and your character. You may also equip your Guardian Beast with spells or items. Selecting an empty slot allows you to equip an item. Selecting an occupied slot will give you the options to... Equip Empty Assisting Equipment ------------------- Has the same effect as Equipment but the first screen you encounter will be your Guardian Beast instead of your character. Choosing an empty slot will allow you to equip a spell or item. With an occupied slot, you get the extra option of emptying the slot. Item ---- A list of all the items you currently possess. Choosing an item will allow you to... Use Throw Away Magic ----- A list of spells that you can equip your Guardian Beast with. You can also use any spells such as heal outside battles here. Weapons ------- A list of all the weapons that you currently possess. You can throw away weapons here. Choosing a weapon will allow you to... Use Throw Away Status ------ Gives you the status of your character and your Guardian Beast. List ---- A list of objects that you possess that can't be used as items. You will also find all the event items you get in here. Save ---- This allows you to save the game somewhere and let you continue where you left off. Useful for places where there aren't any save points but you need to switch your gameboy off quick. 4. Forging Weapons ================== Forging weapons will play a common role in the game and you can forge weapons by using the huge furnace in your room at the workshop. To forge a weapon though, you will require a formula and material to make it. Materials are made by melting all the items you find in the underground labyrinths you explore during the course of the game. You'll find the items inside treasure chests, barrels and boxes. Leaving the labyrinth and entering it again will renew the barrels and boxes but NOT the treasure chests. The 4 main materials are yellow, blue, red and green. However, there are also elemental stones which allows you to add an element (fire, water, wind, electric) to your weapons once you have enough. These rocks are collected by fighting enemies that have a sort of flame floating around them. Usually in the form of a floating weapon like a sword of lance. Defeating them will give you one elemental stone and you do not need to convert them to material. Formulaes are obtained mainly from your master, Bron in the game. Every time you complete forging a weapon, you can go ask him for a new formula. However, you can also BREAK the weapon of your enemy during your matches in the tournament and you'll get the formula for their weapons too! In general, the axe and drill type weapons are best in breaking other weapons. Here is a little about each weapon type: Sword Type - A weapon in which speed and attack power is normal when used. But when attacked by hard mechanical enemies it'll break easily. Axe type - Slow weapon but effective for breaking other weapon types. Spear type - Long reach and attack multiple weapons at once. Effective for attacking enemies in the air and enemies that attack from a long range. Knuckle type - Allows you to hit enemies quickly and since it's designed with speed, it's effective against fast enemies. It's not as strong as the axe type but it can send enemies flying! Drill type - A tough weapon that's hard to break against solid enemies and a high damage dealing weapon!? Like the axe type, it can break an opponent's weapon easily. Now that we've explained the basics, lets explain the menu when you access the furnace. Produce materials Produce weapons Produce materials ----------------- This is where you convert your items and even weapons into material. There will be a sub-menu with the following: Items Weapons You can convert ANY item into materials! Even those items that heal you or power you up so be careful and look at the description at the bottom! Items that affects you usually don't convert into much material though. Converting weapons will not give you back all the materials you used to make them. After selecting a weapon or item, it will ask you how many you want to convert. Produce weapons --------------- Depending on what formulaes you know, there will be a list of weapon types you can make. The full list will be in the order of: Sword type Axe type Spear type Knuckle type Drill type Choosing a weapon type will list weapons of that type you can make. If you have enough elemental stones, it will ask first if you want to use them with the weapon you're making. You'll know if it's asking you this when you see an icon of a stone to the left of the question. You'll have the choice of Yes No It will then come up with the type of weapon you're going to make and ask you if it's alright. This question will come up right away if you don't have enough elemental stones. Yes No Once you've answered yes, the materials are deducted and you can watch your Guardian Beast and your character work away! 5. Battles ========== Battles are real-time in this game and takes place in a side scrolling screen. At the bottom of the screen, there will be two bars. The red bar will be your health and the green bar is your weapon's durability. When this falls to zero, your weapon will break and it'll be gone. You'll have to make a new one afterwards. However, the durability bar is back at full again on the next battle so you don't have to repair your weapons. In tournament matches, you will lose the match if your weapon breaks or if you get knocked out (zero HP). Every weapon you use also has 2 attacks. One by pressing the A button on its own and one by holding down then pressing A. The following is a list of what the controls do during battle. D-Pad - Move around the screen A - Attack the enemies with the weapon you're equipped with. Some weapons will allow you to hold the A button to charge up your attacks. B - Use whatever's active in the row with the R. R - Cycle through the row of items next to the R. These can be items, spells and the guard move. L - Cycle through the weapons you're equipped with. Start - Pause the game. 6. Characters ============= Cleru ----- The main male character of the game. A good boy but always moving ahead. Sometimes, she excels on her female side of things. Rasy ---- A child that admires heroes. Her mother is Bron's young sister. Always cheerful and bright. But, in terms of age she is very young and wants to get closer to the same age as the main character. Rasy likes flowers and has the dream of making the city of swords into one of flowers. Valira ------ A leader of the gold workshop and son of Libody. Valira has been called genius and wonder child since he was very young. He himself is shy of such titles and has quite some talent. Valira has the attitude of looking down on other people. He says "A ruler does not make swords himself" and so makes his servants forge for him Sakuro ------ 3 years ago when he wasn't a high craftsman, he fought together with his master Shintetsu in the city of swords. Amarie ------ A beautiful and kind mother of the main character. Shintetsu was too busy to be with his family but then disaster fell upon on him. That is also a romantic side of his but the people around him thinks of it only as an old man's interest in gardening. Lubert ------ High Craftsman of Amber. His crafting skills is one of the best but he is attached to fame and money. He thinks he can forge weapons more beautiful than Lindo so he thinks the title of "High Craftsman of Diamond" is more appropriate to him. Ureksa ------ High Craftsman of Jade. A young man with a dark side but with his sword skills and with his crafting skills, he became a companion of the high craftsmen. He is easily confused. Tyuram ------ High Craftsman of Crystal. Due to his disappearance, the High Craftsmen number fell to 5 and a tournament was arranged to find new members. He is a deep minded person and also thinks like a high craftsman. When fighting, Hario attacks while Herio is the support. Libody ------ Valira's father and leader of the gold workshop. As a craftsman his skills are good but not good enough to be a high craftsman. Walkthrough ============== You start off a new game by selecting the main character which can either be male or female. For this walkthrough, I will be using Cleru as the main character. But, the story is pretty much the same playing with Pratty. I will also be refering to the Guardian Beast you get at the start of the game as GB for short. During the course of the game, the main character will go out for a walk and he/she'll have a chance to talk to the other characters. I don't know if this affects which character you end up with at the end of the game so it's up to you who you want to talk to. I think it does though. So, lets get started! The story starts off with a young boy/girl sleeping in bed. A strange sound wakes him up. The voice finds out he's listening so it tells him to wake up. Still half asleep, the boy remains in bed. The mother complains it's the 7th time she asked him to wake up. It's the opening ceremony today so he better wake up! Despite that, the boy is still not too eager to get out of bed. Suddenly his mother screams so make your way downstairs to see what happened. Walking downstairs, the boy asks if his mother is alright but it seems nothing's happened. It turns out your mother, screamed just to wake you up. Angry, you fall down the stairs. Thinking that you forgot there's stairs in your house, Amarie thinks you've lost your memory telling you that this is your home and she's your mother! You tell her that you're alright but she's still worried and ask if you remember your name. You think she's just making fun of you but she insists you tell her. At this point you enter your name. By default, the male character's name is Crelu and the female character's name is Pratty. If you want to change the name, use B to backspace and you have a choice of Japanese characters or English characters. English characters is the last row, third from the right. Once you're done, press start and it will ask you to confirm it. Press A to say yes. After telling Amarie your name, she's still worried and ask you what your job is. You answer that you're a craftsman... an apprentice craftsman. She goes on to ask what a craftsman does and you answer that it's someone who makes use of metal to make all sorts of things. You're making weapons. Still worried, she asks you what her name is. She finally relaxes and comments how it was like an earthquake. Speaking of earthquakes, you comment on how much there has been lately. Your mother goes on to ask you if you know what day it is. You answer that it's the day when all craftsmen and the knights of this city, Wystan - City of Swords, gather for the opening ceremony of the tournament. The tournament that decides who fulfills the role in protecting the scared spirit of the sword as the high craftsman. Crelu still can't believe that he was chosen. Now that it's happened, he's sure he'll become a high craftsman like his father that's passed away. Before setting off for the opening ceremony, Cleru's mother gives him a lucky charm which once belonged to Cleru's father. She wants him to keep it so that he doesn't get injured like his father did. 3 years ago on this day, Cleru's father had forgotten his lucky charm... But maybe he didn't forget it that day. He just misplaced it. From now on, matches will be part of the training process so Marie wants Cleru to keep it. His father never got injured while he had it so it'll surely be effective. Finally, Amarie tells Cleru to be careful and wishses him good luck. Before going to the ceremony, go up to your room and walk to the cupboard to the far right to get your ticket. Go back downstairs to get your water scooter to the right and you can leave the house. Going outside, Cleru will remark that he's never been in the castle before. Now go west, cross the bridge another event takes place. It'll show you the castle and Cleru says he's nervous. Bron comes along and says you're late again. You can answer: 1. Good Morning! 2. Who are you? 1. Cleru greets his master good morning and Bron says how Cleru is late again today. 2. Bron replies angrily saying he's Bron, your master. He then goes onto saying how Cleru is just like his father. Shintetsu was always dilly dallying about like a girl and didn't come on the promised times. But now isn't the time to talk about that so Bron tells Cleru to hurry. He'll be heading back to the workshop so once the ceremony's done, Cleru should go see him there. Apart from that, he won't tolerate anything apart from victory. Cleru says he's the same as strict as always. Then it will show you where the workshop is. Now head north into the castle. There will be a blue latern next to the doorway where you can save your game. Go upstairs and talk to the guy next to the door in the north. You can just try going in if you want but either way he'll ask you to show your ticket first. Now, you can go in. Once you're inside, talk to the guy on your left. He'll ask you if what kind of Guardian Beast you have. 1. Don't have one yet 2. What's a Guardian Beast? 1. The guy will tell you that everyone will be making powerful weapons with the power of their Guardian Beasts. He wonders if you're alright without one. 2. You can ask him this question twice. He explains it's a beast you summon to help craft weapons. Somehow it's not from this world. It's a creature that's called from another world using a summoning skill. Since you don't know what a Guardian Beast is, you probably won't have one. The guy will tell you that everyone will be making powerful weapons with the power of their Guardian Beasts. He wonders if you're alright without one. Now talk with the other people surrounding you and someone will announce the commencing of the ceremony. He will introduce Lubert - High Craftsman of Amber, Ureksa - High Craftsman of Jade and Sakuro - High Craftsman of Sapphire. The 3 high craftsman welcomes you and Sakuro exokaubs why they're all here. 3 years ago, Cleru's father Shintetsu passed away and the High Craftsman of Crystals, Tyuram has disappeared. They are now looking for someone else good enough to join the league of high craftsmen. Lubert goes on to say that to be honest, the participants are still young and inexperienced. A young man with blonde hair gets angry and says that just because they're young doesn't mean they're inexperienced. Just because they're adults doesn't mean they can make good weapons either. Another girl with red hair and a pony tail also says something similar. It's not just males that are necessary. Females can do it too. A smaller boy with a head rag says everyone looks nervous so he must be the winner. Cleru notices how confident they all are but says to himself he can't feel weak now. He must win. He promised his mother. Sakuro goes go to say that each person will use weapons made by themselves to fight. To show that they have the hands of a craftsman and to show that they're capable of being a high craftsman. Whoever's weapon breaks will lose the match. Each participant may also have a partner with them during the match. Only one partner though. Everyone is permitted to enter the underground labyrinth below the castle to collect materials. The key will be brought to you the day after tomorrow. As they don't possess the same powers as the high craftsmen at the moment, the underground labyrinth will be dangerous. However, participants should protect themselves with their own abilities as all high craftsman must do. Sharpen your skills, forge swords and become a craftsman. As the ceremony finally ends, head to the master's workshop to the east. Go inside workshop and go through the door to your left to meet Bron. He asks Cleru if he has confidence competing against so many rivals. 1. Of course! I'll win for sure! 2. To be honest... just a little. 1. Cleru says of course since he's the son of the High Craftsman of Iron, Shintetsu. I'll surely win! Bron will say Cleru has lots of confidence and that Shintetsu is still a highly respected man. But, his son won't be able to win that easily. Cleru is still just a trainee and knows nothing about the basics. He probably won't win even one match. 2. Cleru will say it should be alright. He wants to say leave it to him but to be honest, he's not confident. Everyone seems to be strong. Bron tells him he'll be a high craftsman so don't say something like that. He's also the son of the highly respected Shintetsu too after all. Bron will now teach him things directly so that Cleru will win the tournament. Since there's lots of people from other workshops, he'll have to do something special. He says he has something interesting to show him so follow him into the next room and speak to him. Bron has brought a summoner all the way to Wystan to summon the Guardian that'll help Cleru. After they get into position, Cleru doesn't believe that his partner will be a Guardian Beast but he did wish he could have one. He thinks that's what great craftsmen should have. Bron says that's true but Cleru will need the help of a Guardian Beast to help him win this tournament. Now, before you get your Guardian Beast, you will be asked a series of questions which will affect which Guardian you get. There are 4 different Guardian Beasts (GB) you can get. If you want a specific GB then follow the following lists. Otherwise go through the questions on your own. Zantech - 1st, 1st, 1st. Ransho - 2nd, 2nd, 1st. Sugarette - 1st, 2nd, 1st. Kutty - 1st, 2nd, 2nd. 1. What do you think of your father, Shintetsu? a.I want to be a craftsman like my father. (Go to 2) b.I want to know more about my father. (Go to 3) 2. What do you think is important to a craftsman? a.Really... His skills to make weapons. (Go to 4) b.His thoughts and feelings towards living things. (Go to 5) 3. What do you think of how Amarie teaches you things? a.Sometimes persistant. (Go to 6) b.Always watching over me. (Go to 7) 4. What should a craftsman depend on? a.Weapons he made himself. b.His own hands. 5. What is kindness? a.Thinking dearly about your opponent. b.Protecting people weaker than oneself. 6. Who's quality did you grow up with? a. Shintetsu's strictness. b. Amarie's kindness. 7. Do you prefer robots or stuffed toys? a. Robots b. Stuffed toys Once you've answered all the questions, the summoner will ask for something that is important to the GB's master. So, Cleru hands over his lucky charm. Afterwards, a GB will be summoned and you will be asked to name it. Enter a name just like you did before. No matter which GB you get, Bron will say Cleru got the same GB as his father did. Now you can press select to talk to your GB. Go upstairs to find Bron and he'll show you your new room where you will be forging your weapons. Also where you will be spending the time alone during the tournament. Hearing that, Cleru gets disheartened but that's the way it is. Bron will say after all the preparation is done, he will hand over the first secret formula for forging the first weapon. After Bron leaves, your GB will want to go to the harbour. Cleru sees the ship and says how he always ends up staying here overnight for no reason. He goes onto the ship and remembers how he used to follow his father through the streets to let him go on this ship. Cleru envys how his father went far away to other places. And so, decides to become a high craftsman so he can do just that. On the next day, go downstairs to find Bron to get your first formula. Just as you're about to leave your room, Bron comes to find you along with a servant from the castle. The servant hands you the key to the underground labyrinth. Cleru will say how frightening it is to go there because there's lots of other summoned beasts around. Bron tells him that can't be helped if he's going to become a high craftsman. Then he hands him over the first formula and asks you if you remember how to make a weapon. You can reply... 1. Perfectly! 2. I'm not confident at all! 1. Cleru goes through the process saying how you must first collect the right items and materials. Then split those items into 4 different types of crystal. And using the quantity written in the formula, you the crystals together using your hammer and it'll be completed! 2. Instead of Cleru explaining things, Bron does it instead. Bron will ask you to go to the shops to get some iron stone for him. You'll need material to make a weapon before you want to go down to the labyrinth. At the moment, it's very cheap too at 10Bs per stone. There's lots of people who has their eye on the stones because of the cheap price so Cleru must hurry. Bron hands you 300B and leaves the room. Now you can save your game with the blue latern in your room. Leave the workshop and head east cross the 2 bridges. Enter the shop with the sign that has what looks likes 2 sacks on it. Talk to the shopkeeper and he will say that all the iron has just been sold out. They were all bought by the girl with the red hair. Cleru wonders if he should ask her if she can share some of it... 1. Ask her to share 2. Don't ask her Whatever you choose, you'll end up going over to her. She recognises you from the opening ceremony and wonders how someone as dumb looking as you could have taken part in the ceremony. Without sharing any of her iron, she leaves for the labyrinth saying she's busy. Go back to Bron and tell him what happened. After hearing what happened, Bron says it must have been Sanare. But, what she done was right since Cleru and Sanare are rivals now. So, Cleru will just have to go down to the labyrinth to collect materials without a weapon. Bron gives him a hammer instead and says it not only forges weapons, but it also forges a man! Go back to the castle and right after you enter it, go into the door to the north that's in front of you. Follow the path north and speak to the guy guarding the door. The guard sees that you have the key but no weapon. Cleru explains to him he does and uses the same phrase as Bron about his hammer - "A hammer forges a man!". Knowing that it sounds stupid himself, Cleru thought it wouldn't work but seeing his enthusiasm, the guy lets him through. Go into the labyrinth and you'll see a green circle with spirals in it. That's a transporter but at the moment it won't be of any use to you. Go across the bridge and you'll meet Sanare again. She thinks Cleru's here to ask her for materials again. Cleru tries to say it's her fault that he has to come down here with a hammer. Sanare tells him it's not right for a boy to blame people. She also says if you can answer her quiz correctly, she'll give Cleru the materials she found though. Which is greater? Male craftsmen or female craftswomen? 1. What kind of question is that!? 2. Fe... Female craftswomen are greater. Either way she won't give you anything. Follow the path in the room and you'll meet her again. She discovers you behind her later and tells you about her sister. She used to come down here with her sister to place long ago. That's why it's an important place to her. It feels like she gets closer to her sister when she comes here. Sanare realises she said too much and leaves. After opening the treasure box nearby, you'll have the iron that you need to make your weapon. Return back to your room, turn the items you got into materials and then forge your sword. Once you've done that, Bron will come into your room to see it. He says it passes but it was mostly thanks to your GB. Then Sanare comes in to see what you done and as you would expect, isn't impressed and Cleru starts arguing with her. Bron tells them to cut it out. Just then, your notification for your first battle arrives. Your opponent is Cheves, a sword user. After saying "good luck" to Cleru, Sanare leaves the room and Bron offers you your next formula. Choose from axe, spear, knuckles and drills. From now on, after you receive a new formula, you may finish forging the new weapon and go ask Bron downstairs for a new formula. You can also recover your MP and HP using the bed in your room if you need to. Go into the bed and press A. Before you go for your first match, you may want to go back to the labyrinth to gain experience points first or collect some more material for your weapons. At the moment, you can only go down to level 3 before a guy stops you saying that there's an earthquake. Hit the transporter next to him with your hammer, go onto it and press A. It will ask you if you want to use the transporter or not. Yes No Answering Yes gives you a list of levels you can transport to. At the moment, you can only use it to get back to level one quickly. You'll be able to do this when you find similar spots in other levels of the labyrinth. As you leave your room, Cleru meets his mother who comes along to see how he's doing. Seeing that her husband's GB is with him, she's reliefed and wishing Cleru good luck she leaves. Once you're ready for your match, go to the castle. When you enter the castle, make sure you only have ONE weapon equipped. Otherwise you're not allowed to start your match. Follow the path behind the stairs after you enter the castle. This is the arena where all your matches take place. Talk to the guard standing in front of the door. He will ask you if you're ready or not. Yes No After you beat Cheves, he is pleased that you won. It wasn't because of your skills as a craftsman. More because of your GB and falls into a rage. Sakuro the referee calms him down and tells him to think about the 3 rules of the high craftsman again. Night falls and Cleru is happy that he won. Bron comes along but tells Cleru not be to too overjoyed with his victory. Lots of other people have won their match too and he should pay attention to those people. There is only one winner out of the tournament. Either way, Bron says it's a good thing Cleru's first victory and wishes him good luck in the other matches before leaving. Cleru then suggests they go for a walk and you have the choice of... The ship you went on with your Guardian Beast The undersea viewing platform where Sanare was The next morning, Bron comes along to get Cleru to come along with him to go sell some weapons at Vans. Cleru is delighted to hear that he can ride the ship and cross the sea. So, head to the harbour which is north past the items shop. Talk to Bron next to the ship and you will set sail to Vans. Once at the harbour of Vans, Bron will give you a package to deliver to the weapons shop and leave. He doesn't tell Cleru where it is and your GB doesn't remember either. So, you'll have to go look for it. Leave the harbour and you'll find a shop with a logo of a sword. Go into the shop and you'll find Bron there. While the shopkeeper checks on the goods, Bron complains how late Cleru is. Cleru replies he never told him the place so he couldn't help it. Creating quite a bit of noise, the shopkeeper tells them to keep it down. After inspecting the goods, the shopkeeper says they're perfect and hands Bron the money. He also says that he's been hearing rumours that bad products have been coming out of Wystan. When Bron assures him that will not happen to the shopkeeper, he says goodbye and you are given the choices... Go back right away We came all the way here so I want to walk about the streets. Once you're back in Wystan, Bron will thank Cleru and your GB then give you some reward - a new formula. He says it has a cool name, "The Iron Saber" and then leaves. Just as you're about to leave the harbour, a man named Nashment will stop you. He's from the gold workshop and he first congratulates you on your first victory. He says that they admire his craftsman skills so he was wondering if Cleru would like to become one of their craftsmen. It might be a bit sudden so he was also wondering if Cleru could give him some weapons to sell... Sell your weapons Don't sell your weapons What he wants Cleru to make for him is 10 Iron Sabers, the formula Bron just handed to you. He'll pay you 500B for each. If you do the job for him, he'll be waiting at the harbour later. Now that you've won your first battle, you'll have further access to the labyrinth. For now, you'll only have access up to level 8 of the labyrinth before another guard stops you. He says the passage way has been blocked and is in the process of being cleared. Either make your way through from the first level or use the transporter to get to level 4. There, you'll meet Sanare again. It seems she was approached by Nashment too and she asks if you accepted his offer... I think I'll accept it I have no plans to accept it After Sanare leaves, you'll be asked the same question again. Decide here whether you're going to accept it or not... Accept Don't accept Whatever you choose, Nashment will be waiting at the harbour for your swords so go to the harbour. If you want to do his quest then follow the optional quest guide below. After visiting the harbour, you'll find the boy with the blonde hair from the opening ceremony. He warns Cleru to quit the tournament before he gets hurt and leaves. Optional Quest -------------- If you choose to not accept his offer then you will have 2 choices when speaking to him. They will be Not yet I refuse your offer Telling Nashment you refuse his offer won't do anything. He'll remain persistent in staying there. So, go into the labyrinth and gather the material for your 10 iron sabers. The iron saber will be number 4 in your list of swords. Once you've made 10 iron sabers, go back to Nashment. If you chose not to accept his offer, talk to him and choose the first option to say you have them ready. If you chose to accept his offer then all you have to do is talk to him. Afterwards he will give you your earnings... Don't accept Accept Either way, you'll get the 5000B. -------------- Going back to your room, you'll find a letter saying your next match is ready. Your next opponent is Kenon, an axe user from the gold workshop. Next, go to the arena. Just as you're about to enter the arena, Sanare comes along. She says that the gold workshop has been tricking new craftsmen into giving them their weapons to sell as cheap prices. This is giving Wystan a bad reputation so she wants to go stop the next trade and she wants you to help. Then we have to get it back! But... I have a match! Either way, she'll head to the harbour and you'll have to go help her. Before going, be prepared to fight a spear user. At the harbour, Sanare is already asking for the package of weapons back. Cleru steps in to see if what said earlier was true and asks for the weapons back too. Nashment tells them once the money has been accepted, that's the trade over. He will not return the weapons to them. Just then the blonde hair boy Varila, known as the battle genius who finished his matches in the shortest time steps in. He'll return the weapons to them if they defeat him. After you defeat Varila, he's confused why a top class craftsman like him would lose. Sanare explains it's because Cleru used a weapon that he made himself. She tries to give the money for making the weapons back but Varila doesn't need it anyway. After he leaves, Sanare leaves too but thanks Cleru for helping. You can now go for your second match but don't forget to go back to your room to heal first! Once you're ready, go fight Kenon, an axe user. After the fight, Sanare is waiting outside for Cleru and congratulates him. Then Valira comes out saying next time he'll use weapons he made himself to fight Cleru. Until then, he doesn't expect Cleru to lose against anyone else. Valira will be the one who defeats him. Night falls again and Cleru wants to go for a walk again... The ship you went on with your Guardian Beast The undersea viewing platform where Sanare was The park where Valira was The next day, Bron comes along and says something terrible's happened. A girl named Rasy went into the labyrinth and has disappeared! After handing you a new formula, Bron leaves with the guards. Go down to level 11 of the labyrinth and you'll find a huge hole there. As you go near it, Cleru hears a faint cry. You'll have the option to... Fall through the hole Don't fall through It might be an idea to not fall down yet and hit the transport tool next to it. Go near it again and choose to fall down this time. Falling through the hole, you'll find a mysterious woman and a sword. It seems Cleru has seen her from somewhere. The woman seems to know Cleru too and knows he's aiming to be a high craftsman right now. She also explains the sword that's protecting the city of swords, Wystan belongs to a man. It was thanks to him forging this sword that the city of Wystan can remain standing in the sea. But that was 3 years ago. Of course Cleru's confused but he decides to ask her about the voice... Did you hear a voice? Could you be Rasy-san? The mysterious woman will tell you she heard a voice from the crack to the left of her and hopes you find the person you're looking for. Go up to the crack and Cleru will say it's too small to fit through. Then he figures he can use his hammer to make it bigger. After you've made it wide enough, an earthquake will occur and Cleru falls in losing conciousness. When he wakes up again, he finds himself in a room similar to his own. A girl introduces herself as Rasy saying Bron is her grandpa. She's also been searching for a way out of here but there's a problem. Use the bed here to recover your HP if you need to and follow her out of the room. You'll find her next to a monster. It's another summoned beast and it looks strong... Fight it! Go back! Choosing either option will require to fight the beast anyway. Walk up to it and beat it. After beating it, Rasy thinks you're really strong and decides to call you Aniki (big brother), then goes ahead to check it out. Follow her into the next room and talk to her. It turns out to be a dead end so go back to the room. Turns out no one has an idea on how to get out of here so Rasy talks about something else. She wants to become a high craftswoman so that she can make the city of Wystan into a city of flowerbeds and swords. She already has a secret place in Wystan where flowers bloom. Soon, the Rasy and Cleru hears Sanare's voice shouting. Go out of the room and you'll find a ladder coming down from the wall. After you climb out of the place, Cleru thanks Sanare for worrying. She hands over a letter for the third match. She got it when she went over to Cleru's room and seeing that he wasn't there, the servant handed it over to Sanare. Your third opponent will be... Rasy! She makes use of knuckle type weapon. After you defeat Rasy, Cleru will be worried about her so your GB suggests they go find her in that secret place she was talking about earlier on. It should be on level 4 of the castle so go up there. Talk to the guard at the door and he'll say he never saw a little child go by. Your GB insists she's on the other side but you can't get past the guard. Go to your right and walk through the wall where the path leads into just above the stairs. Make your way through to the very back of the room, avoiding the guards along the way. Run past when they're walking the other way. Once you're at the back, go left and you'll find some stairs. Go up to find Rasy. At first, Rasy doesn't seem to be around but she comes out. She's surprised that Cleru knew the place and she asks Cleru what he thinks of the flowerbed... It's really beautiful I want to make this kind of flowerbed What are you doing here? After Cleru comments about the place, Rasy says she hopes you become the high craftsman. Night falls again and Cleru thinks about how all sorts of things happened over the day. Then Bron comes in to thank him for finding Rasy and say how well he done in the match today. After he leaves, Cleru decides to go for a walk again... The ship you went on with your Guardian Beast The undersea viewing platform where Sanare was The park where Valira was The secret flower garden where Rasy was The next day, the castle official comes along again with a notice for your fourth match. It seems to be a bit earlier this time, says Cleru. Since it's the high craftsmen who decides these things, the castle official says he can't help it. Cleru's next opponent will be Hario and Herio. Herio is the replacement for the usual GB so that's why is two opponents. They're both from the silver workshop. After the official leaves, the twins come in to see what their next opponents like. They say Cleru is inexperienced so he's weak. He should just leave the tournament... What rubbish! Maybe I should... Bron comes in to see what's going on and the twins tell him they just came to see what their next opponent looks like. They're not impressed. At this rate, Cleru can't beat them so they say to Bron that he better give him another weapon. After they leave, Cleru asks why are the girls from the silver workshop all so over confident with themselves. Bron says if the twins work together, Cleru won't be able to beat them just now so he hands him a new formula. Just then, an earthquake occurs. Bron comments how there's been a lot recently just like 3 years ago. He also has some business but before he leaves, he tells Cleru he'll need some core parts for his new weapon. Cleru should find them on levels 15 or 20 of the labyrinth. Go to the dungeons and you'll meet Sanare outside the doors. She heard about your match with the twins and feels sorry for you. Like Valira, they're tough opponents but their personalities is the worst. But, Sanare says she'll cheer for Cleru because she hates those twins and goes away. Make your way down to 11 and you'll find the hole's gone. Cleru says it must have been the earthquake that closed it up. Go down to the next level, cross the water and try to open the door. It'll be locked so your GB suggests they go ask the officials at the castle. Make your way back up out of the labyrinth and you'll meet the mysterious woman again. She knows you're looking for the key and says Sakuro will probably have it. Go up the stairs and then out the door to the south. Go the east and find the house that's standing above the water to find Sakuro. Speaking to him, you'll find out he knows you came for a key but at present, you won't be able to beat the twins. So, he's going to give you some special training... Accept the special training Don't accept the special training Again, whatever you choose, you'll be taking the training anyway. Sakuro goes on to say how they'll need some special materials. These materials can't be found in the labyrinth. He tells you to find the wives of a craftsman who likes spears and a craftman who likes axes on level 2 of Wystan. He then hands you a piece of paper for you to show them. Go out of Sakuro's house, go south and go into the house with the smoking chimney. Talk to the woman with red hair and she'll hand you the materials. Now go to the west side of the place and find the house that has a girl with long pink hair standing next to it. Go in and talk to the woman with blonde hair to get the last material. Return to Sakuro with the material he asked for and he'll give you a new formula to make. Go back to your room and make the new weapon. It'll be under swords, number 10. If you don't have enough materials, go back to the labyrinth to collect some. After you make it, Cleru recognises it as a ladle (used for transferring liquids). Cleru thinks Sakuro is hinting at how he should change things he finds into things that's useful to himself. Now that you have the "weapon" Sakuro wanted, go back to his house. It turns out it was just to help him but he says it's part of the special training. Relieved, Cleru tells Sakuro to hurry and tell him how to make a new weapon with the material he collected earlier. Sakuro tells Cleru that the material he collected was seafood and vegetables. Hearing that Cleru gets upset again thinking he's being fooled about with but he calms down and says he trusts Sakuro. Now, Sakuro wants some spice. He tells Cleru that he'll be able to get it from the 1st level of Wystan at an Indian shop. At the moment, it's being renewed but as long as you say it's for Sakuro it's fine. But, there's rules you must remember. First, "Calculate the price please" is "Biru Dejeh", "Cheaper please" is "Kam Karohnah", "I don't know" is "Pata Nabihn". They're phrases of the shopowner's homeland. Go back to level 1 of Wystan and you'll find the Indian shop near the fountain. Talk to him and choose the middle option for "I don't know". This way, you don't have to pay for the spice. Return to Sakuro's house and he'll ask you to make curry for him now with the materials you collected. Cleru says he's ate it before but he's never made it. Sakuro says it's no problem because it'll be part of the special training. Go to the back and press A in front of the pot to start cooking. The menu will be as follows: Seafood Vegetables Water Spice Add everything in the same order as the menu from top to bottom. After you finish the curry, Sakuro's disappeared. Go to the ceremony room to find him and give him the curry. After eating the curry, Sakuro will tell Cleru how his father was his master before. At that time, he also asked Sakuro to do the same thing for him. Sakuro asks if Cleru knows that the town of Wystan in floating in the sea in the shape of a tower... Of course I know First time I heard that I want to know the details Choosing anyone will go through the history of Wystan but told by different characters. Wystan is in the sea and built above where Paristaparis' temple is. The temple is on level 50. There are 3 levels where people live and then there is the underground labyrinth. Cleru's father Shintetsu fought to protect the place. When he asked Sakuro to make curry for him, he also said "If you can go through something absurd as this, you can grow up quickly by absorbing everything.". Afterwards, Sakuro hands you the key. Now that you have the key, go back to the labyrinth and go to the door on level 12. Go through the levels all the way down to 18 and you should find the "core parts" you're looking for in the treasure boxes. Now, go back to your room to forge sword number 8. Go downstairs to show Bron it and he should give you the choice of a new formula. Now you have to show it Sakuro. After going to his house to show him it, you can go to the arena to fight the twins. Drill user. After defeating the twins, they recognise you as craftsman now. Night falls again, and Cleru goes for a walk again... The ship you went on with your Guardian Beast The undersea viewing platform where Sanare was The park where Valira was The secret flower garden where Rasy was The guest room where Sakuro was The next day, Sakuro comes to tell Cleru that he's made it into the semifinals. Bron also comes along to give him a new formula but somewhat in a bad mood this time. After you forge the new sword, Bron comes in again and asks if you could go with him to deliver something to Amarie. Some good fruit for this time of season. He's says it's not in a hurry... Do it right away Do it later Choose to do it right away will lead you back home. Do it later and Bron will wait at the door for you. Talking to him will let you have two options. First being wait and the second go. At Cleru's home, Bron talks to Amarie about all the things that happened like Cleru's fight with the twins. Cleru tries to interrupt and ends up making Bron upset. Bron tells him, there's someone who knows a lot about his father he could talk to... What... Really!? Stop trying to make me be quiet Either way, Bron will tell Cleru it's an old man who lives in the third level of Wystan. Amarie also gives him a parcel to deliver to the old man. Go up to level 3 using the stairs in the castle and go out the door with the white light coming through it. Go west and you'll see a flight of stairs. Go through the door and you'll find the old man. The old man recognises Cleru's GB and Cleru as Shintetsu's son. He asks him to take his hands out and remarks Cleru has some good hands. When Cleru asks him to tell about the story of his father, the old man says it's a long story about 3 swords and 10 people. He gives Cleru a key to access deeper parts of the labyrinth and asks him to bring an item called the "Ryugakou" (Dragon's Fang) back to him. Venturing into the labyrinth will reveal more of the story he says. Go to the labyrinth entrance and talk to the guard. He will hand you a Guardian Beast Book. It will keep info on all the beasts you fight and be use when you're linking to exchange items. You can access this in List menu. Once you complete it, you get a reward. Now, go down to level 12 again but this time instead going in the door to the north, cross the water and go to the far west and use that door instead. Inside you meet the mysterious woman again. She explains it's about time and that she's one of the characters in the story the old man was going to tell. The story about this City of Swords, The High Craftsman of Iron who fought to protect the people he loved in this town. There was a lot of craftsmen back then. Also the girl who opened a door, the man who fought to protect his girlfriend and the close friends and followers of those two people. Last of all, the man who fought with a robotic soldier, sacred spirit of ice. A story of a woman who loved a man greatly, a man who loved only one woman and a sword that saw everything... That's what the story's about. The man was no doubt a hero who had courage. During the 3 years Cleru's father was around the seat of the saint was empty. Everyone at the time knew his father was a hero. That's as far as she can tell Cleru at the moment. After Cleru thanks the woman, go through the door next to her and follow the stairs down. Make your way down to level 23 and be ready for another boss fight to get the Dragon's Fang. Now make your way back up by following the way you came. Meeting the mysterious woman again, she'll congratulate you on defeating the beast. She knew about the beast down there but didn't tell Cleru so that he can grow from the experience. Now that it's over, it seems she can leave things to Cleru now. Before she leaves, she unbinds the sword and lets Cleru have it. The sword of the west. Just as Cleru wants to say he can't have the sword, the mysterious woman says she's let word of the sword slip now and leaves the rest to him. Then she leaves. Head back up out of the labyrinth and Cleru will meet Valira again. He's just about to go down to get more materials for his weapons. All the adults have been praising how good his weapons are but he still feels he hasn't caught up with Cleru yet. Ever since he lost to Cleru, he's been making his own weapons and has been finding how interesting it is. There's a lot of strong opponents there. Then he leaves. Go back to level 3 of Wystan and go south to find the old man again. He'll be surrounded by some soldiers. Sakuro comes along and says they're people of Degrea - the military country that knows only to fight. He also calls the old man Lindo, the one admired by all other craftsmen for his ability to forge the most beautiful weapons, The High Craftsman of Diamond. Cleru didn't notice it at all but now he knows. The soldiers get angry for ignoring them and tells Lindo to hand over the sword he has right away. Lindo tells them he doesn't know what they're talking about and says if they want opponents, fight Cleru too... Co... Come on! Wait a minute! After the battle, Sakuro tells Lindo that the investigation group they sent out lost contact with them for 5 days. Lindo leaves and regrets he can't tell Cleru about his father since he has some business to attend to. He looks forward to Cleru's progress in the tournament. Before he leaves, he also tells Cleru to talk to Bron about the sword he got. Once they've left, Bron and Amarie comes along. Amarie asks Cleru to hand her the sword to keep and she remembers things from 3 years ago. She then tells Cleru that she made dinner so Cleru should finish it and go back to the workshop. Bron wants to go have some too but he has business. Night falls again and Cleru comments how good the meal was. Also how as long as Wystan has someone like Lindo, the town will be alright. Then he decides to go ask other people about things... The ship you went on with your Guardian Beast The undersea viewing platform where Sanare was The park where Valira was The secret flower garden where Rasy was The guest room where Sakuro was The next morning, Rasy comes rushing into Cleru's room and tells him they found someone who drifted to shore so go to the harbour. It seems to be a young man who's lost his memory. Amarie sees Cleru and tells him to take the man back home, give him something to eat and let him rest. Then she orders Valira, who gets surprised, to do something. Back in the house, the young man says all he can remember is a whirlpool, a monster... and then beyond all the splashing, he could see an island. Rasy wonders if the island is far away and Valira deducts that it must have been the whirlpool that wiped out the investigation team. Sanare knows they're thinking about going to the island but tells them to stop. Rasy says there must be lots of material they don't know about there. Then she remembers she has some business to do, Valira says he needs to get back and the two leaves. Sanare then asks Cleru what he's going to do... I want to go How about you? Sanare leaves angrily and Amarie says it's not good making girls upset. Just then, you'll be asked again... I want to go to the island I think I won't go after all Cleru's mother wishes him a safe journey and says he doesn't have to worry about her. She'll also take care of the man and take him to the castle. Cleru must go ask Bron to borrow his ship though. Go to the workshop to see Bron. At first, he says he doesn't have any ships to lend Cleru but then, Cleru lies that his mother told him to lend a ship to him. With that, Bron hands the key over and tells Cleru there's a notebook on the ship with weapon formulas in it. You'll be able to use it to get new formulas just as you would here by asking Bron. Cleru thanks Bron and Bron says he can get closer to Amarie now. Go to the harbour, get on the ship and go to the wheel. You'll be asked if you want to leave now. Yes No On the way, the current gets faster and it's getting hard to control the ship. Cleru's GB tells him at this rate, they'll get sucked into the center of the whirlpool but eventually struggle through to the island. Cleru says that might be true but it's a gamble. Suddenly, you get attacked by a sea monster. Reaching the island, it seems they've reached a harbour. But Cleru wonders if anyone lives here so he decides to go and search. Your room will now be inside the ship. Once you're ready, leave the ship and go north. You'll arrive at a village. Follow the path past the trees and under the bridge. Cleru will spot some guards and decides it's too dangerous fight them directly so find another way. Go south past the trees and make your way to where Valira is. Valira explains that Rast and Sanare was caught when they arrived here. He got injured trying to rescue them and he couldn't find Cleru. The girl next to him gets worried about his wound and speaks up. Valira introduces her as the person who saved him and she is also from this village. Cleru remarks how the girl is blushing a lot but, guess she can't help it since Valira is so cool. Just then someone comes. The leader tells the soldiers to find the sword that's in the town quick. Then the soldiers ask him what they should do with the girls they captured. The leader replies they're from important families so they should not be too rough with them. However, they still have to deal with them. After they leave, Valira recognises the leader as Lubert, the man they met from the opening ceremony. Valira wonders what Lubert is doing with soldiers from Degrea. Cleru says he doesn't know either but what they do know is that he's searching for some sword. Since Lubert can leave the island, there must be a way to escape. There's also the fact that Sanare and Rasy are held captive in the undersea labyrinth. So, Valira wants to go with Cleru to rescue them but the girl says he can't. He's not fully healed yet. She says if he's going to go no matter what, he'll have to take her with him. Since she's so persistent, Cleru tells Valira to leave everything to him and he'll take care of things. The girl says there's a a secret entrance to the village on the cliffs so go up the stairs behind her and follow the path. Then go into the wooden hut. Entering the hut, a man notices you and says only the villagers know of this place. Cleru explains that it was a girl that told him how to get here and the man asks if she was cute... She was cute Hmmm... just normal? Afterwards, Cleru explains his friends have been captured and the man asks if they were some cute girls. Cleru answers they're cute but kind of annoying sometimes. The man says cute's a good thing so he tells him there's a passage leading to the labyrinth behind the hut. The villagers can't help him because of the soldiers at the moment but he cheers him on. Go behind the hut to find a cave. Go in it and climb up the ladder. Now go west to into the cave and make sure you don't get caught. If you go south, you'll get caught and that means you won't be able to go through the labyrinth here to collect materials and rescue the girls. Then you'll have to fight the boss straight away. So, skip the next few paragraphs until you get to the part about the boss if you fight with the boss straight away. Go into the cave and go to the west side. Go down south where the water is being held in. Hit the spot with a hammer so that the water flows to the next level. Make your way down to level and you'll meet up with Valira again. Seems he's fine now. The soldiers that stop by and start talking about exchanging girls. One of them isn't happy that he has the little baby one and wants the cute one. Cleru and Valira also hears they're to deal with them if they cause any trouble. In other words, they're split up in two different places so Valira asks Cleru who he wants to go after... Leave Sanare to me! Leave Rasy to me! Whatever you choose, an earthquake will occur afterwards blocking the path that Valira takes. Saving Sanare ------------- Follow the path west and you'll find Sanare with a bunch of soldiers. She's dressed as a maid serving the soldiers and making them dinner. Sanare complains she isn't a maid but she thinks the clothes she's wearing is kind of cute. Help her now Watch a little longer If you choose to help her now, you fight the soldiers. Otherwise, a soldier asks Sanare to massage their back. Help her now Keep watching Same as before. If you keep watching, Sanare dances for the guards and she thinks to herself that men are the worst. She WILL escape. But as a high craftswoman's sister she can't lose. Just then a soldier comes up to Sanare asking her to kiss him. Cleru can't wait any longer so he jumps out to fight them. But, another sea monster jumps behind Cleru and you have to fight that instead. After the fight, Cleru finds the soldiers got scared off. Sanare says her cooking isn't good after all then goes change. Afterwards, she goes off to find Rasy. Follow her down and Valira will already be there with her. Relieved, Cleru talks about what happened with Sanare and Sanare gets angry since he's been watching her. She says she'll make Cleru forget all about it and starts chasing him around the place. Saving Rasy ----------- Follow the path south and Cleru will hear screaming. Soliders start piling out of place screaming "Run!". It turns out they were running away from another one of those sea creatures. Rasy's confronting it saying how she will follow Cleru around until he becomes a high craftsman. When she sees Cleru, she tells him to run because it's strong. But, Cleru says he can't if he's going to become a high craftsman. After you beat the monster, Rasy says how strong Cleru was but says nothing to his GB. Seeing how disappointed it is, Cleru tries to cheer him up saying it was strong too. Next, Valira comes along with Sanare and says how bad her cooking was along with the dress she was wearing. Sanare gets angry and tries to quiten him down. Cleru feels something strange happened. ----------- After all the fun, Valira goes back to the main problem again. Even if they get out of the caves, there will be Degrea's guards about. Going back by sea will also be dangerous because of the whirlpools. Sanare then tells them that she heard the soldiers saying there's a beast down in these caves that's making the whirlpools. Maybe a companion of the Degrea soldiers. If they defeat that, then they can go back safely. Go down to the next level and go west again. Find the same spot where the water is being held back and hit it with your hammer. Make your way down to level 7 and be prepared for a boss fight with the King Crab. After you defeat the crab, the others meet up with Cleru. Valira says the soldiers ran away after they saw Cleru beat the King Crab. Sanare says she's a bit annoyed that he went fighting on his own and that people who make it to the semifinals are full of self-confidence. But, she was only joking. Leaving the caves, they meet up with the man and the girl again. The man introduces himself as the village chief. The girl is Eclaine and she's glad Valira's safe. The village chief thanks everyone and invites them back to his house for a small chat but Valira says he's going back first. It seems he's concerned about his next match. Eclaine goes after him so the chief has to go get her. Before he leaves he asks Cleru and everyone else to wait in his house. But, Rasy and Sanare decides to go look around the village. If you go up to the door on the house on your right, you'll have the option to Wait Dilly dally about Inside the house, the chief will explain that he hid the sword from the Dagrea soldiers all this time. But, he's forgotten where he hid it now and wants help from Cleru and the others to find it. Once he finds it, he tells them that this it the sword of the east and no doubt the soldiers will be back to look for it again. He wants Cleru, son of Shintetsu to have it so that they can't find it. Cleru wonders what he has to do with the sword. The chief explains that it was his father who made the sword and he made a total of 3 of the same kind. He was also a follower of his father. These swords are responsible for sealing in a sacred spirit. Back in Wystan, go back to Cleru's home to speak with Amarie about the news. In the house, Cleru tells his mother that it's dangerous for her to have the swords because soldiers from Degrea are after it. Amarie says she knows and that's why she's keeping them. They're also swords made by her husband. That's why he wants Cleru to let them stay with her. And so Cleru hands over the sword he got from the island and night falls again. That night, he wonders why the soldiers from Degrea are after the swords his father made. Just what happened 3 years ago? His GB then asks him what's wrong and he says nothing. He decides to go out to feel the breeze a little... The ship you went on with your Guardian Beast The undersea viewing platform where Sanare was The park where Valira was The secret flower garden where Rasy was The guest room where Sakuro was The next day, Sanare drops by Cleru's room and asks if he's free. If he is then, she asks if he could come to see her match today. Yeah, of course! I might not make it... Just then, a big earthquake occurs. Sanare says there's rumours floating about that the volcanoe's been spouting fire lately. There seems to be a lot of frightened people about. Cleru gets concerned that Wystan will be affected so Sanare tells him to go ask the high craftsman. Whatever you choose, you have to go find Lindo to ask him about the incidents so go find him up in level 3 of Wystan. As you enter the room, Ureksa comes along. He reports that the investigation team that was sent to Kaguro Island has found that the volcanoe there has gone active and that's the cause of the earthquakes that's been happening. There has also been report of a weird sound coming from the volcanoe so Ureksa wants to go look into it himself. Lindo agrees but tells him to take Cleru with him. Lindo says since Cleru's concerned about the earthquakes, he should go with Ureksa to find out about it. He'll also have a word with Bron so that he can borrow his ship again. Go find Bron at the workshop again and he'll hand Cleru the key along with a new formula. Now head to the harbour and Cleru will be stopped by the mysterious woman again. She tells him to be careful because when people rise to their true nature, they'll be engulfed by darkness. Ureksa may have been caught in darkness already. Talk to Ureksa and he'll say that Shintetsu's sister was a great help to him. He expects Cleru will be the same. He then asks if Cleru has seen a hero that lives even today and also says that heroes must live to see the smiles of the ones they fight to protect. There's a hero that's alive to this day in Sygent and asks if Cleru knows about it. I heard it was a man... I heard it was a woman... I didn't know that After Ureksa explains that he wants to go meet that hero, they set off to Kaguro. Once you've reached Kaguro, leave the ship to find Ureksa. He decides that he'll be working alone from now on and knocks Cleru out. Waking up, Cleru finds a mysterious guy next to him. He explains he's Hayato, someone from Sygent. He also tells Cleru that the man who knocked him out looked pretty strong so he should go back before he gets hurt. Cleru insists he must go investigate the Kaguro volcanoe though and decides to go find Ureksa to see why he knocked him out. Go north and then follow the stairs on the right. Go in the portal and you'll find Cheves there. He explains that Lubert told him to stand guard here while he goes off to search for something. Realising he just told Cleru their secret, he attacks. After beating him, he runs away. Go back out the way you game and follow the stairs on the left this time. Go into the portal and make your way down to the next level. Cleru will bump into Hayato there and hears Ureksa's conversation. It seems Ureksa is serving Lubert and they're planning to hand over Shintetsu's sword to Degrea. Lubert says everything is going according to plan and they be welcomed in Degrea with good positions in the country. As Lubert leaves, Ureksa says to himself that he won't let anyone stand in his way. After Ureksa leaves, Hayato asks if Crelu knows what the story about the sword was all about. Crelu explains that it's his father's swords that seals a sacred spirit. The two people are also great people where he comes from. Hayato then goes on to say how Degrea is a small country but they're a strong military country. It won't be good if the sword falls into their hands so instead of investigating the volcano, they should go after them. Make your way down to level and you'll meet up with Hayato again. Lubert recognises him as the hero of Sygent and isn't pleased that Ureka didn't deal with Cleru. Hayato summons his GB and tells Cleru to hurry. They must get the sword before Lubert and Ureksa does! It would probably be an idea to save the game using the save point here because you'll be fighting Ureksa next. Follow the path south and Ureksa will catch up with Cleru. He says to Cleru that this has nothing to do with him do he should just go back to Wystan. Cleru says he won't until Ureksa tells him what they're going to do with his father's sword. After the fight, Ureksa changes his mind and tells Cleru the sword is deep in these caves. He says it's because he doesn't want Degrea to get their hands on the sword and leaves. Make your way down to the next level and you'll find Hayato badly injured. He tells Cleru to run because it's dangerous here but Cleru says he should go with him. Hayato tells him he won't go back until he defeats the beast though. The summoner tells Cleru not to interfere. He is going to complete the wish of his lord Old Lake. First he'll seize hold of the politics then cleanup the world! Hayato tells him no one thinks he can't do it but it'll affect his friends and the people in town who has nothing to do with it. The summoner says Hayato will never defeat his beast though. Looking at how badly Hayato is injured he says... Lets run I'll defeat him After defeating the beast, Shintetsu's sword of the north comes out of it. Leaving for the harbour, Cleru thanks Hayato for everything. Hayato says no. He was the one that got help from him and managed to capture the summoner. Saying that he'll go to Wystan sometime with his friends, he leaves. Cleru says he didn't feel like a hero but he was a nice person. All heroes must be like that, a normal person and he must learn his ways. Lubert arrives saying that it was all part of his plan and demands Cleru hands the sword over. Cleru's troubled and thinks he can't beat Lubert. Then he thinks back to Hayato and what he would do. He wouldn't give up until the very end. Just then, the mysterious woman appears and Cleru's GB drags him back to his ship. Back in Wystan, go back to Cleru's home to give the sword to Amarie. Amarie asks where he got it from and Cleru explains on Kaguro Island. With all 3 swords gathered, the earthquakes should stop now. Now that's over, Amarie tells Cleru that Sanare's match is over now and Cleru realises he forgot all about it. Go back to the workshop and you'll find Sanare and Rasy standing in front of the stairs. Sanare says it's alright he didn't come and then leaves. Rasy tells Cleru how great the match was. Sanare defeated her opponent with 1 strike. Rasy didn't think Sanare's skills would improve so quickly. It was kind of scary too. Night falls and Cleru goes for a walk again. The ship you went on with your Guardian Beast The undersea viewing platform where Sanare was The park where Valira was The secret flower garden where Rasy was The guest room where Sakuro was The next morning, Rasy comes running into Cleru's room and asks him to go with her to sell some weapons. Go Don't go Bron comes in and sees Rasy there. He commments on how much Rasy likes Cleru and tells Cleru not to make her cry. Besides that, he has a job for Cleru. He wants him to go so Vans to sell some weapons. Bron lets Rasy go with him and Rasy goes to the port first. Cleru notices how quickly Rasy got upset. Then Bron asks if Cleru knows about Rasy... I know! I don't know!! Cleru always thought Rasy was a boy and never noticed she was a girl. Rasy had only been talking about how she got rescued by Cleru all the time so Bron tells him to treat her well. After saying he's leaving the goods to him, he leaves. When you're ready, go to the harbour and go on the ship. Talk to Rasy and she'll say you're late. She wants to set off now. Wait! Alright, lets go to Vans! Just before they leave, another earthquake occurs. Cleru thinks to himself that the Kaguro volcano had nothing to do with the earthquakes. Rasy goes ahead first and leaves you with a parcel to deliver to the weapons shop. Go to the weapons workshop like last time and you'll find Rasy there. After the shopkeeper hands them the money, he tells them that long ago, Bron was a candidate to become a high craftsman. Bron was refused and so Lubert became one instead. Now that he's mentioned it, he remembers that a brother and sister came from Wystan all of a sudden last year. It was Ureksa who was the one who moved here too. Rasy then rushes off to see Ureksa's house. Go west and you'll find Rasy peering into a house. They get caught and the lady invites them inside. She introduces herself as Rumari. She moved here because of her illness. The city of workshops, Wystan was not good for her so she moved here to Vans where the air is good. Rasy says there should be 2 ladies here. Someone named Kouren should be here too along with a guy named Tyuram. We haven't seen him have we? Who's Tyuram? Tyuram is one of the 7 High Craftsmen and he also Rumari's lover. The last she heard from him was a letter but she's lost contact ever since. Now she just thinks of him when she holds the pendant she has. Rasy says it's beautiful but it's shaped like a tear drop. Rumari says it might really be crying. There were 3 pendants. One belonged to her, one to Tyuram and one to her brother. When they lieve together, the pendants will become one. Then she apologises for talking about herself only. Rasy realises they have to get back now before Bron gets mad. When Cleru and Rasy leaves the room, the GB stays behind. Rumari apologises that she's gotten them into this mess now but they maybe the only ones who can stop her brother, Ureksa. Go back to the ship and Rasy will say she saw one of Degrea's ships. Ureksa was riding on it too. CLeru wonders if he should tell Rasy or not but decides to leave it until they get back. Wait a little longer Go back to Wystan Back in Wystan, Rasy says she's going to visit Lindo so they should meet up at Sakuro's place later. For now, Cleru has to go back to hand over the money to Bron. Go the workshop and Bron will hand you a new formula. He also lets Cleru borrow the ship for a little longer. Go to Sakuro's house to find Rasy and Sakuro will tell them that it's best to to get involved in Rumari's trouble. Saying no more, Rasy leaves the room. Follow her outside and she'll tell Cleru that she's concerned about Rumari so she's going to back to Vans. Go to the harbour and talk to Rasy... Wait a minute Alright, lets go! As they're about to leave, Sanare comes along too. Arriving at Vans, Rasy suggests they have a competition to see who gets to Rumari's place first. Cleru doesn't really mind and decides to take it slowly so head to Rumari's house. Talk to Sanare and she says she saw Ureka earlier. She also says that Rumari was the high craftswoman before Lindo. Afterwards, Rasy and Sanare decides to go after Ureksa. Follow them west and you'l find they've been caught. Now you must go rescue them. Make your way up though the castle and eventually you'll meet Lubert. He was waiting for you. He says it's such an honour to meet Shintetsu's son again but then gets the guards to take him to the dungeons. In the dungeons, Rasy and Sanare's surprised to see Cleru. They thought he would come rescue them instead. Not get caught. The man with them stops the arguing and Rasy introduces him as the High Craftsman of Crystal, Tyuram. Cleru asks what is he doing here. Tyuram answers it's not very cool so he didn't want to tell them it but... He heard Lubert and Ureksa talking about something that he shouldn't have heard in a bar so he caught captured. He tells Cleru that he's after the swords his father made to seal the scared spirit of fire. It's a spirit that possesses great power and source of the fire that craftsmen make use of. That's why they must protect the swords by all means. Degrea wants the sword so that they have the power to control the spirit. Lubert is helping them for fame and money while Ureksa is doing it for revenge. It was because of the spirit that his sister Rumari has an illness. She got too close to the spirit and was scathed by the spirit's anger. Now she has the illness until she dies. Rasy asks where the fire spirit is now and Tyuram says it's deep underground beneath the city of Wystan. In other words, the guardian spirit of Wystan is actually the fire spirit. Just then, Varila comes in. Sakuro told him to come help them. Follow everyone else outside and Tyuram will be waiting for Cleru. Just as they leave, Ureksa appears. He shouts angrily at Tyuram that he can't get away. Tyuram tells him to stop this because his sister won't be happy if he gets hurt. Ureksa continues to be angry and says he has no right to talk about his sister. Even though he knows how his sister is suffering, Tyuram done nothing about it. Tyuram has no right to have the pendant so he's going to defeat him and get it back. Tyuram has been imprisoned for a long time now so he won't have the strength to fight Ureksa... I must help him! I can't help him...! After defeating Ureksa, Cleru asks him to stop it. There's no point handing over the swords to Degrea. Tyuram speaks up and asks if that's not so. Ureksa must want the swords so that he can control his sister's illness. But no, Ureksa wants to get rid of the fire spirit. If it was to awakened humanity would be in trouble. Just then, the mysterious woman appears and says that's why the swords that sealed the fire spirit is in his way. Tyuram recognises her as Kouren, the High Craftswoman of Red Pearls. Ureksa realises everyone knows about his motives. Sakuro and even Lindo too so this is the end for him. He couldn't become the hero for his sister. But, he won't let Tyuram become his sister's hero either. Tyuram tells him he always wanted a chance to speak to him so that the 3 of them can live together. Then all 3 pendants can become one again. But, Ureksa says that'll never happen and walks to the edge of the building. Kouren steps in and says Tyuram had been investigating about the ice spirit so that he can defeat the fire spirit. Ureksa shouts to Cleru and tells him this is the way to become a hero. Then he jumps off saying this way, he'll become the hero for his sister, Rumari. Make you way down the ladder, down the castle and back outside again. Outside, Valira, Sanare and Rasy's waiting for Cleru. Now someone has to go tell Rumari about Ureksa. Kouren and Tyuram has already gone to the harbour saying there's something they need to talk about alone. I'll go Rasy should go Lets just go back Choosing any one will end up with you meeting Rumari at the harbour. Tyuram decides to stay behind and protect Rumari. Rumari tells him not to worry and that Kouren needs his help. Tyuram replies that he couldn't protect Ureksa so he can't lose Rumari too. He's going to stay and protect Rumari and has no thoughts about become a craftsman in Wystan again then leaves. Kouren says Rumari must be glad she has such a kind person with her and not to worry about Wystan. After all, she has some tough little helpers with her. Then she tells Rumari to go after Tyuram and she leaves. Sanare has something she wants to talk to Cleru alone about so Valira and Rasy goes to the ship first. She's not sure what to do but tells Cleru that Kouren is her sister so she knew everything that's happened already. There's also one more thing but she doesn't say it. Instead she cries. Night falls by the time they get back to Wystan and Cleru doesn't feel like going back to the workshop... The ship you went on with your Guardian Beast The undersea viewing platform where Sanare was The park where Valira was The secret flower garden where Rasy was The guest room where Sakuro was Next morning, Sakuro comes along and says he's come for a date. But he's just half joking. He has a job to do for the city of swords and would like Cleru to come with him. Lets go together I refuse Either way, you'll end up going with him. Sakuro gives you the key to access further parts of the labyrinth in case you need to do some preparation before going. Before leaving, go down to get a new formula from Bron. He'll tell Cleru to be really careful since he won't be able to see Amarie again should something happen to him. Once you're ready, go to the harbour and talk to Sakuro. He'll ask you if you're ready to go... Wait a little longer please Lets go! Before leaving, Sakuro will explain their objective. They will be heading to a fortress known as Mirana and he asks if you heard the name before... That's Degrea's fortress! I don't really remember... Sakuro will go on to explain that he obtained information that the gold workshop has been selling weapons to them. They'll be going to investigate the truth there. Cleru wonders if it has anything to do with Ureksa's revenge but Sakuro says he'll have to wait and see. Just then, Valira comes running along. He says he must take responsibility since it is connected to his workshop. Sakuro says he can come and tells Nashment to go explain to his father. On the ship, Cleru comments how it doesn't look much different from Bron's ship. Sakuro explains the ships are made by the same workshop so there isn't that many types around. Suddenly, they get spotted by one of Degrea's patrol ships. Now that they've been discovered, Sakuro says they'll swim ashore since the fortress isn't far ahead. Cleru gets worried and asks his GB what is it going to do. Of course, his GB flys so there's no problem there. Valira asks if Cleru can't swim... I can swim! The weapons will get rusty! Sakuro lets them go first while he distracts the patrol ships. Arriving on shore, Valira says there's no ships from his workshop around which means... The information was wrong? Shall we ask the people responsible? Either way, Valira suggests they go to the very top of the fortress where the people will be. Once inside what looks like a mechanical factory, go through the doors with the green arrows all the way up until there's only one door left with a red arrow. Go into it then go left and enter the purple door. You'll find Valira in there. Seems he hasn't found the guys yet. They really must be at the very top. Cleru is worried about Sakuro but Valira reassures him he'll be fine since he's one of the high craftsmen after all. He's probably docked his ship by now. Then he leaves. Follow him up the stairs then go through all the doors with the green arrows on them. You'll eventually reach a level where there's a save point. Save if you want then go into the purple door next to it. Keep heading up and you'll meet Valira again. Lubert is talking to his soldiers and they're saying how they haven't caught the 3 intruders yet. Lubert isn't angry and says the intruders will be tired as they make their way here. They can take care of them then. Then he asks the Cleru and Valira to come out. He never expected it was them though and says it looks like Cleru will become a high craftman soon. As for Valira, it was probably the stars that foretold he won't make it as a high craftsman. But, he gets attached to money and tricks other people for money. That is what the name of the workshop of gold means. Then he says it's such a pity. He heard they were selling cheap weapons so he bought them all and sold it for him so Valira should be thankful. Valira isn't of course and then Lubert leaves leaving his soldiers to deal with them. After beating one of the soldiers, the rest get scared away. Just as Valira and Cleru was going to leave through the way they came, they hear more soldiers coming up. Seems they've gathered lots of them. Valira says he'll deal with them while Cleru goes look for another way out. Go west and you'll find a pole sort of thing. Looks like we can go down it. No way we can go down it. Either way, the two slides down it and Valira says to go after Valira. Save if you need to and then follow Valira to the docks. You'll find he's dealing with other soldiers. Then Lubert himself arrives and you must fight him. Like Rasy from earlier on, he uses a drill type weapon. After defeating Lubert, he doesn't admit defeat but then Sakuro comes along and he knows exactly what's in the crate. Lubert is told to tell the boys and he agrees. He says inside is one part of the guardian of Wystan, the fire spirit Paristaparis. Degrea needs the part to do research and experiments for war. He also made good use of Ureksa and laughs saying he danced well. Cleru gets angry and tells him not to make fun of Ureksa. He says Ureksa is his sister's hero. Lubert laughs saying hero and high craftsman isn't money. They're just empty names. Just then, a huge shaking takes place and the part inside the crate bursts loose injuring Sakuro, Valira and Lubert. Sakuro brings out Shintetsu's sword and gets ready to fight. But he and Valira's been injured badly so they can't fight. Cleru must fight on his own with the damage he took from fighting Lubert. When fighting this thing, be sure to use the hit and run technique. Don't let him get close to you so much as to trap you in a corner. using the hit and run technique will prevent this. Use guard when he's breathing fire so that you duck and out of harm's way. After beating the monster, they return back to Wystan while everything's in chaos around the docks. Back at Wystan, Sakuro thanks Valira and Cleru although it was a shame what happened to Lubert. He also thanks them as a friend of Ureksa for getting mad at Lubert and not Ureksa. He hands the sword back to Cleru to take back to him mother and says the high craftsmen will take care of Paristaparis then leaves. Night falls and Cleru feels like going for a walk again. It maybe the last too before the finals. The ship you went on with your Guardian Beast The undersea viewing platform where Sanare was The park where Valira was The secret flower garden where Rasy was The guest room where Sakuro was Next morning, Valira comes to see Cleru. He's going to take him to his home, the workshop of gold and show him what the weapons they make are like. He wants to show that Lubert was wrong. ...OK Are you scared of going alone? This has nothing to do with me? Before leaving, he'll ask Cleru to leave his GB behind though. Go now! I need to prepare so wait. Going to Valira's workshop, they meet Nashment. Valira tells him to move out the way because he has business with his father. Even though it's Valira, Nashment won't let him pass because he's served his father Libody for a long time. Valira goes onto say that he'll be the owner of this place soon so he must see things right. Ask to let them through Stay quiet and listen Nashment finally lets them through and they meet with Libody. Valira tells his father that until he met Cleru, he had no questions about what the gold workshop done. He didn't think he would forge his own weapons. Instead he'll just make use of the things around him he thought. He thought their workshop was doing the right thing so he thought the silver workshop were cowards. But, it was Cleru who made him realise he was wrong. Hesitantly, Valira asks what his father is really doing. Making bad weapons, selling young craftsmens' weapons cheaply and even dealing with Degrea. He asks how is it all right and says how there's no point getting money for doing these things. Stop Cleru Cheer him Cleru on Either way, Lindo will come along and offers to explain. He asks what they want to do We want to know We don't want to know It turns out Lindo got the gold workshop to do these things so that they can catch people like Lubert and find out their allies. Also, to get evidence so that they can take them in. Still making no sense to Cleru, Valira explains that the craftsmen of this town have good skills but they don't do trade. That's why they had to get someone to get in the money for the country. He then asks Cleru who fixes the tunnels and water ways. Carpenters? The high craftsmen? The high craftsmen ask the carpenters to fix the places but where does that money come from? Cleru finally understands. Valira apologises for getting Cleru in this mess but Cleru says it's alright since their friends. Valira doesn't look pleased about that so Crelu says how about close friends then? Valira says no. They're rivals and next time they meet, it'll be in a match. Back at the workshop, the official arrives with the next notification. Cleru's next opponent is Sanare. He also hands in the next key to the labyrinths so you can go deeper. After the official leaves, Sanare comes in to see how Cleru's doing. She says she has something good to show him and wants Bron to see it too. Go down to find her with Bron. Talk to her and she'll show you the sword she made. Bron has a look at it and says this is the same level as the high craftsmen. Cleru believes her skills are even greater than that of Valira's. This is probably what Rasy was refering to when she said she saw something amazing during Sanare's match. After showing it, Sanare leaves telling Cleru not to look so down and they'll meet in the match. Bron is surprised that she'd reached such a level in such short time. But whoever wins, both are representatvies of the silver workshop so he doesn't mind. Cleru thinks to himself how the sword had none of Sanare's kindness in it and he doesn't want to fight her. Seeing Cleru's expression, he thinks for a while then says Cleru's hammer will not do. He's going to change it with the hammer Shintetsu used. Amarie should have it so leave for Cleru's home again. Just outside, an earthquake occurs and Cleru wonders if it's because Paristaparis is mad about Degrea. At home, Cleru explains everything to his mother and Amarie says it's a good thing. But right now, Lindo has it with him so go to his room on level 3 of Wystan. At Lindo's room, Cleru explains everything. Lindo wonders if the hammer will let Cleru use it though. The hammer has different strengths depending on who the user is. In other words, it kind of chooses its user. Just then, Kouren comes in and leaves with Lindo. Before leaving though, Lindo says he gave the hammer to Sakuro so you have to go find him. Go to level 2 of the castle and use the secret passage to talk with Sakuro. He can tell Cleru's worried about his match with Sanare. So, he explains to Cleru that it's his mission to fight her as a friend. During Sanare's battles, Sakuro can feel that she is completely different and full of sorrow. Cleru then tells him that's why he came to borrow his father's hammer. Sakuro leads him back home and gives him the hammer. Cleru says it looks just like a normal hammer but worn. He then gives a few swings and feels how precious it was to his father. Also how he forged every weapon with all his heart. He hands the hammer back to Sakuro and says he understands now. Making good weapons depends not on the tool but the heart. His father's hammer is in his heart. He will now make the best weapons to try and understand Sanare. Go back to the workshop and talk to Bron. After explaining about the hammer, he gives Cleru a new formula that should help beat Sanare's sword. Once you're ready, you can go to the arena to fight her. After you deafeat her, she leaves. Outside she asks to see the weapon that defeated her. All of a sudden she seems to be possessed and says to herself that it was just was she expected from the son of Shintetsu. She takes the weapon from Cleru then pushes him away in a flash. Everything goes blank and Clery hears a faint cry for help. Next thing that happens is Snare is dragged through the door. Just then, Kouren comes in and tells Cleru to come with her to the meeting room. Once Sakuro confirms that everyone has been gathered for the meeting, he tells them there's a reason why they are gathered here. Being Valira, he talks in his usual tone and tells Sakuro to say it already. Rasy shouts angrily at him saying how he can't speak to the high craftsmen like that. Cleru says he knows that but he didn't want to hear that from Rasy. They then go on to explain that Paristaparis is awakening. No. The earthquake earlier shows that he's already awakened. Cleru asks why don't they seal him again with the father's swords but Lindo says they don't have the power to hold them anymore. For now, they can only say that mankind has made Paristaparis angry. Valira isn't interested about all this so he leaves. He's more interested in preparing for his finals. After he leaves, Sakuro says they called them here today to tell them not to tell people about what's happening. Back in Cleru's room, another earthquake occurs. Cleru wonders what Lindo and the others are doing. Later, Kouren, Lindo and Bron comes in to speak to him. It seems they haven't found Sanare yet. All they know is that she's somewhere in the labyrinth. Cleru says he wants to help too but Lindo says leave it to them. For now, they want him to concentrate on the tournament. Bron then says it's about time they told Cleru the reason for the tournament. Since Paristaparis was causing earthquakes, Kouren and the others had to seal it. But, in order not to frighten the people in the town, they had to do it in secret. That's why the tournament was held to divert everyone's attention from the earthquakes. That was the real reason why it was held. But of course, the tournament itself is not a lie. Whoever wins can become a high craftsman. Cleru remains persistent to go find Sanare himself but he's not allowed. Instead, Kouren tells him once again to continue the tournament for them. Then she gives him the final notice. The final opponent is Valira. Even though Bron knows Cleru can't go into the labyrinth, he hands him a new formula. After they leave, Cleru is confused about what to do. Valira has been looking forward to a rematch with Cleru for a really long time but he's also worried about Sanare... Even so, go find Sanare Prepare for the match Choosing either one means you still have to go find Sanare except different events take place. Go find Sanare -------------- Once you're ready, head towards the castle and Cleru bump into Valira. He asks if Cleru is ready for the match but Cleru apologises. Valira realises he's going to go look for Sanare but doesn't believe it. He's angry and asks what will happen to their match. Since Cleru's going no matter what, Valira says it's his win then. He tells Cleru not to worry and that he'll make good use of his position. Then he leaves calling Cleru a loser. Prepare for the match --------------------- Go back home and talk to Amarie. She will ask Cleru if he's found Sanare yet. Cleru answers it seems like they haven't yet. Puzzled, Amarie asks what does he by "seems". He explains he's left it to the high craftsmen now so he doesn't know. He's preparing for the finals right now because becoming a high craftsman is his dream. Amarie then says that it's not like Sanare to leave before Cleru's matches. There must be something terrible happening to her. If it was Cleru's father, what would he have done? Go to the match Help Sanare Choosing anyone will make Amarie explain that his father would ignore everything and go help. Cleru thanks his mother and decides to go help. Amarie says she'll do something about the match with the high craftsmen and wishes him good luck. Once you're ready, head towards the castle and Cleru bump into Valira. --------------------- Go to the labyrinth entrance and you'll find someone guarding it. He says he's been given orders not to let anyone in. If Cleru wants materials he'll have to go another way. But Cleru begs him to let him through and the guy realises he's serious. Asking for a reason, Cleru explains there's someone he needs to help. The guard understands but it's still his job to guard the place so he can't let him through. But, he does tell you there's another way to get into the labyrinth somewhere on level 2. He wants Cleru not to have regrets so he tells him to go save that important someone. Go to level 2 and talk to the official there and Cleru will ask him about the alternative entrance. The official says the labyrinths are off limits right now but Cleru insists he must go. The official asks him what will he do about the match and Cleru answers that he has something more important to do than the match. And so, the official tells him there should be another way on level 3 in one of the high craftsmen's rooms. Go to level 3. You won't be able to use the secret entrance anymore so you'll just have to talk to the guy directly. It turns out he's the guy that drifted ashore. He still doesn't remember much of his past though. He doesn't let Cleru through but as usual he insists he needs to get in. The guy goes outside with Cleru and asks him why. He explains Sanare is down there and something's terrible has happened to her. And so, the guy says he'll let him pass but not through the main entrance. You can go through the secret entrance and he'll ignore you now but, the other guards won't. Make your way into the room without being spotted then go into the door that's in the north, in the middle of the room. Inside, you'll find Bron, Libody and Rasy. Lindo knew Cleru would come this way so he wanted them to stop him. Rasy also came to go look for Sanare. Libody gets mad and says that was left to the high craftsmen. But, Cleru says he can't go on with his match with Sanare not here. She's a really important friend to him so he HAS to go help her. Bron decides to let him go but Libody still isn't convinced. Bron tells him that at this rate, the match won't be good for Cleru or Valira so they should let him go. Now make your way down to level 11 and go to the room where the sword was originally in. Use that way to make way deeper down into the labyrinth. Go down to level 46 and you'll find Sakuro along with Ureksa! Sakuro explains Ureksa was alive. No. It should be that he was made alive by Paristaparis and being controlled by it. You'll have to fight Ureksa again. After the fight, Ureksa returns to his normal self again. Sakuro also tells Cleru that Sanare is also being controled by Paristaparis. It wants to use Sanare to lure Shintetsu's son down to him and release his seal for good. That's why Cleru should turn back. Cleru says it's his fault that he got Sanare into this then so he begs Sakuro to let him go. Sakuro decides that he trusts Cleru so he lets him go. Then he makes his way back to the surface with Ureksa. Make your way down to level 47 and you'll find a door to the west with crystals grown over it. Go in and you'll find a key. You'll also finally get to meet Paristaparis. It says welcome and introduces himself as Paristaparis who was summoned from the spiritual world for the purpose of crafting swords. For that, it was imprisoned deep within the oceans. Now it hates Cleru's father for doing so. It wishes to return to the spiritual world and for the destruction of this world. Cleru is an hindrance to his plans. Shouting at Paristaparis to give Sanare back, a fight starts. You won't be able to hurt Paristaparis much but just keep attacking him. Eventually the story will move on. Sanare attacks Cleru too then Valira arrives. He tells Cleru he loses to no one until he loses to him. Then he looks at Sanare and says this must be the reason why she lost in the semifinals, being controlled by such a monster. For a brief moment, Sanare returns to herself again and she hands over a summon night stone. She says it'll surely help. Then, Cleru faints. When Cleru comes to, he finds himself in the room where he first met Rasy. Sakuro, Valira and Rasy are with him too. Rasy says he moved and Valira tells her to stop talking like it was a dead person moving. The flying robot introduces itself as Kyuhyra. Cleru gets up and asks what's going on and Rasy explained she has a hunch Cleru was in trouble so she came after him. Sakuro followed her while trying to stop her and then he arrived at this place. Cleru thanks Valira and he says there's no time for thanks. He tells him to listen to Kyuhyra and Sakuro says Valira's being a nice boy. Kyuhyra explains that it is an ice spirit and was called from the spiritual world by Cleru's father. He is also one half of Paristaparis' body. Valira says it seems that it's like a twin of Paristaparis and exists to fight against it. After what happened to Rumari, Shintetsu knew about Paristaparis's other half. And so he wanted to make them one again so that they can return to the spiritual world. Also so that it doesn't hate people like Rumari but it failed so Shintetsu forged swords to seal Paristaparis. Kyuhyra goes on to say that since Paristaparis is a fire spirit, it was imprisoned beneath the seas to control its powers. Because of that, it couldn't go back home or go on a rampage and so it grew into hatred against humans. Cleru asks why did had to imprison Paristaparis. Sakuro explains it was a story long ago. The people Linbalm was being invaded by the spiritual world and the ghost world. So they decided to summon beasts from another dimension to help them make weapons using magic. Paristaparis was one of those they summoned as the "Sword Spirit". But even after the invasion, mankind did not cease their fighting. That's why they put Paristaparis under the sea and built a tower, the town of Wystan, above where it was sealed. So, it's not Paristaparis' fault from the beginning. It's the high craftsmen's job to keep Paristaparis sealed so it hates them now. Especially Shintetsu and also his son. Cleru asks how are they going to save Sanare and Kyuhyra says they must send Paristaparis back to his home. They must also clear his anger away. It goes on to say how Shintetsu's job was not over and he used his own soul as material for the swords. Shintetsu wanted them to finish the job and that's why Kyuhyra waited to tell them that. Rasy then wonders if they understand what he's getting at... We understand... We still don't understand... Either way, what it's trying to say is craftsmen should forge their weapons with all their heart and use that weapon to understand the feelings of their opponent. So they must now use the weapons they make to fight Paristaparis. Cleru remembers that their weapons aren't effective against Paristaparis though. Kyuhyra says his existence is to eliminate Paristaparis but he also needs some materials. First the summon night stone. Second the source stone where the summon night stones come from. Last of all, the most important material. Something that has a deep relation with the weapon holder... the soul of the owner's Guardian Beast. Cleru's GB says it knew about it from the very beginning but it's kept quiet about it all this time. Kyuhyra asks Cleru if he will hand over his GB for that purpose... Give me time to think please ... I've decided Asking for some time will allow you to leave the place and do what you like for a while. The second option requires you to make a decision. Hand over its soul Don't hand over its soul Hand over its soul ------------------ Just as Sakuro was going to get the source stone, Tyuram and Rumari appears. They say their pendants are part of the source stone so they'll gladly hand over their 3 pendants as part of the materials. Tyuram says ships from Degrea has surrounded Wystan. Lindo and Kouren are heading over there now so they need help. Valira and Sakuro agrees to go with them and leaves Cleru to take care of things. Kyuhyra asks if you're ready... No Yes First decide what type it'll be and your GB will be used to made to forge it. After the weapon's forged, the sad cleru hears a voice coming from the weapon. It's the voice of his GB and it tells him to fight together. Then with Kyuhyra as his GB, they go fight Paristaparis. Don't hand over its soul ------------------------ Kyuhyra will say they'll have to use another method then. But it's a risky one. They'll need the 4th sword. There is supposed to be 3 but another sword was used for evil. Now Kyuhyra has that sword. Cleru says he'll go get the other 3 and just as he was about to leave, Tyuram and Rumari arrives. Tyuram says ships from Degrea has surrounded Wystan. Lindo and Kouren are heading over there now so they need help. Valira and Sakuro agrees to go with them and leaves Cleru to take care of things. Cleru's GB is happy that he didn't hand it over. Cleru says he couldn't because it's an important friend. He wouldn't be happy if he lost it. Then they decide to go get the swords from Amarie. Go outside and you'll find a transporter. Use it to go back to level 1 of the labyrinth. You won't be able to use the exit you would normally use since it's being guarded so you'll have to go to the east where the window and ladder is. Arriving at the house, Cleru finds a group of Degrea soldiers surrounding his mother. She seems to be fine though and she's lecturing them on how they're no different from thieves doing what they're doing. Eventually, the soldiers get angry and say they must do their jobs or terrible things will happen to them. Amarie says sorry but they have their own lives too and tells Cleru to fight them. After the fight, they go outside and the soldiers are mad at themselves for losing to a kid. Then Bron comes to the rescue saying he won't let them lay a finger on Amarie. Amarie leaves the soldiers to him and tells Cleru to go inside with her. She hands over the swords and Cleru asks her how did she know. Amarie says she knows everything. Going outside, it seems Bron has defeated the soldiers. Then along comes Lindo, Ureksa and Kouren. Ureksa says he's not confused anymore and will not do wrong again. The soldiers angrily tells them that it's the end for Wystan. They've already surrounded the town and will attack if they don't hand over the swords. Kouren says they've already defeated all their ships with 10 of their own craftsmen ships. Also with the help of Rumari. At first, the soldier doesn't believe them but hearing the name of Rumari, the fast spear user, the soldier believes them and runs away. Ureksa speaks to everyone saying how he wanted to save his sister but Paristaparis ended up using that thought. Something similar must be happening to Sanare. Return back to where Kyuhyra is and talk to it. It'll ask if you have the swords. No Yes Handing over the swords, he gives Cleru the 4th sword, the southern sword. A weapon forged using the 4 swords that Shintestsu made should inflict damage against Paristaparis. However, this was not what it was originally made for. The sword should be a little different from a weapon made with the soul of a GB (the resulting weapon is weaker). But, this was also the last thing that Shintetsu had hoped for. He wishes that his son wins without sacrificing his own GB. Kyuhyra is sure his father will be pleased that his son chose this route and then it returns into the sword. Now you choose what type you want the weapon to be to fight Paristaparis. ------------------------ After you beat Paristaparis, it'll say it's not over yet. It's power originates from his flame of hatred and in his body flows the flame of pain. That is why he can control Sanare. Her heart is crying how she wants to win against Cleru. Paristaparis then puts its hatred into Sanare and they attack Cleru together. After defeating Paristaparis, Cleru's weapon splits and Kyuhyra appears. It tells its other half to go back and suspects that he too can understand what Cleru is feeling. Paristaparis tells Cleru to send them to Sapres. Kyuharu then says farewell before disappearing. Paristaparis says farewell too but tells Cleru not to be angry with Sanare since it was it who used her heart. With that, Sanare returns (Your GB comes back to if you sacrificed it) and Cleru says good morning to her. After the credits, everyone welcomes and thanks Cleru as he comes back. Sanare apologises and Rasy is surprised saying it'll rain tomorrow now (common saying amongst the Japanese when there's a sudden unexpected change). Once everyone leaves, Sanare thanks Cleru. She explains she thought she wouldn't be able to beat boys so she wanted to borrow Paristaparis' power. But, it turned out wrong and she couldn't. Instead she got controlled. After a little more talk, Cleru goes to fight Valira in the finals. Afterwards, Cleru stands outside with Valira who asks him how does it feel to be the High Craftsman of Iron. Cleru answers he shouldn't call him that since he's still got a lot to learn. Valira answers he shouldn't have sympathy for someone he won against. He'll also be hir rival forever and will soon catch up with him. Cleru says he doesn't mind since they're friends but it must be hard for him since he has the gold workshop. Valira says he hopes he'll beomce the high craftsman of gold. He will also show the city of Wystan to everyone without shame with Cleru. Now all the doors that were locked with crystals growing over them will all be unlocked and you will have access to the next 50 levels of the labyrinth! You may also fight all those bosses again. There's also a special tournament held at the arena where you have to beat all your opponents as fast as you can. It costs 1000B to take part though. Participate Don't bother Explain about the tournament This does not have anything to do with the story so have fun! 8.
