Go to the left. Hey, The MORPH BALL Augmentation is still in the same place. Touch it to acquire the power to curl into a tiny ball. Move right to find the first of many Torizo Statues. Long ago, the Chozo built these statues to serve for eternity. When they cradle Samus in her Morph Ball form, they can be give guidance to Samus, hereafter known as Chozo Relevations. Relevations go on the Map and lead Samus to her next new ability. You can contiue to move right until you reach the Save Room. There is a long vertical room that you should go up. Near the top, enter a door on your left. Shoot through some crumbling blocks. In the next room you can shoot the block in the Torizo Statue's arms and then touch the symbol. Get rid of some crumbling blocks and leave through the top of the room. Shoot some 2x2 blocks and when you reach the upper corridor, move left and you will see a statue of the head of Kraid and Ridley. Move right and there will be a Torizo Statue. Your new Relevation will appear in the middle of nowhere. Leave the room where the Torizo Statue is and go down the long vertical room. There is a room on the right. Destroy the crumbling blocks that lie in front of that door and enter the next room. There is a short tunnel that will lead to the next section of Brinstar. Make your way down while avoiding enemies. When you try, you must fight the first Boss. After facing him for the first time, go back to the red hatch that you saw earlier on the right. Blast the hatch open with your newly found Missiles and after entry, avoid the flying creatures. After you go through a small room similar to a bridge, there will be a room where you can't continue. Jump up on the first rock platform in the room and there will be a nest of the flying things. Destroy the nests and continue right. There will be a rock pillar of crumble blocks. Shoot the bottom ones because there is a Missile Tank there. Face the Burrower again. There is a chance you won't beat him. Make your way right until you reach a vertical room. Be sure to make a trip down to a red hatch and find the Map Room for download. Go up and enter the first hatch on your left. Go up one Map Unit from the Save Room and Morph Ball through the tunnel at the top of the room. Shoot open the Red hatch here, and get the Bombs in the Torizo's hands. Bomb the column of 3 blocks and some Scarabs will jump on you and drain your energy. Morph Ball and lay a bomb to destroy them. There is a room that you skipped over located between the room with the nests of flying creatures and where you fought the Burrower for the second time. Bomb the 3 blocks in the middle of that room. Fall to the bottom and enter the hatch on your left. Locate the Torizo Statue and Morph Ball in its hands. The next Chozo Relevation will lead you into the area of Norfair. Go there. A short clip fo the Mother Brain will be shown and then you will find yourself in Norfair. Bomb next to the center vertical tunnel and you will fall down. Save on your right, but you will be unable to continue in that direction, find the elevator on the left. As you are travelling, notice there is a Missile Tank that you can't get yet. Bomb the wall that blocks your path. Go through to the next room and take the elevator above you to Crateria. Go right and jump on the platforms up to the left. As you enter the Chozo Ruins, there will be a block inscribed with a mark. You can't get throught it now, but Bomb through to the door and get the "UNKNOWN ITEM." The item will activate the blocks so that they can be destroyed. Bomb up to it and then jump on the platforms on the left. Jump in the mouth of the statue and open the door there. You will fall because of the Pitfall blocks. When you reach the bottom, Bomb the wall on the left on a Bomb Jump. It should open up and you can shoot your way through. Experiment with the Power Grip. Jump from platform to platform and when you come to one where you can't see the top, shoot the top and use Power Grip to get over it. Jump down and Recharge and Save at your ship. Take the door on the right and the elevator back down to Norfair. Navigate across to ICE BEAM. After you get Ice Beam there will be no where to go because the hatch will turn green, meaning you will have to shoot it with a Super Missile. Bomb your way out of the Torizo Statue room at the bottom and freeze the turtle in the next room and jump on him. Avoid the ultra-heated environment on the left and take the next door down. Leave Norfair by freezing by hopping on the turtles. Make your way back to the the corridor where you started the game. In the second room there are crumbling blocks. Go to the bottom of that vertical room and take the elevator to Kraid. Enter the Blue hatch on the left to Save and then the Red hatch to get a Missile Tank. Continue to the end of this room and shoot the farthest right floor block to open a passage. Bomb away some more blocks and then lay a bomb in the statue to activate a Speed Ball attack. Power Grip up the notches in the wall and on the last one you can choose to time a Wall Jump or just blast away the blue block. Take the top most hatch on the left and go all the way across this room. Then shoot through 3 2x2 Blocks and then fall down. You can't continue on the right, and if you Speed Ball, you don't seem to go anywhere. Look closely at the wall when you fall. There is a blue block that can be bombed, so when you fall back down, Bomb that block and Speed Ball a second time to fall in that notch in the wall. The wall here is a mirage so you can go through it and reveal some Eyeball creatures and a Red hatch. Blast through the hatch. Morph Ball in the Y shaped statue to activate the ZIP LINES. Shoot the red mechanism on the wall to bring the Zip Line to you and then jump on to it to take you across and through and Energy Tank. Save in the next room and fall through a Pitfall block and go into the 2x2 Map unit room on the left. Take the hatch below the one to the Save room here. The Zip Line here has also been activated. As your going, shoot the blocks in front of you. In the next room, bomb the floor and go into the acid. Don't worry, it's also a mirage. Fall a great distance to the bottom and go right. In the room with the Red hatch, there is a crumbling block right at the entrance. Shoot it and fall through 2 levels of Pitfall Blocks. On the right, shoot a 2x2 crumbling block and then another block in the wall. Morph Ball through to get UNKNOWN ITEM 2. +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* ================================================================================ ix. *.* Speed Booster *.* ================================================================================ The blocks with symbols on them are now active, so you can move more freely. Go back and shoot the 2 blocks that are lower on the ceiling between the 2 fly pipes with a Missile. Destroy the symbolic block and exit this room on the top right. Destroy all of the creatures in the next room and then in the room with nothing but 2 doors, Bomb the floor and fall. Exit this room with all of the Eyeball creatures in the upper-left of the room. Destroy the Living Door and enter to battle Kraid. After defeating him, Bomb the 3 blocks in the lower left of the room. Get the SPEED BOOSTER. +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* ================================================================================ x. *.* Hi-Jump/Spring Ball*.* ================================================================================ Speed Boost all the way across the boss's chamber to get back to the room with all of the Eye Ball creatures, all the way through to the tall vertical room. Freeze some turtles to climb as well as the wall on the right which crumbles. At the top of the room on the right is a Save Room. Take the upper of the 2 doors on the left. Jump on the Zip Line. I hope you are reading this before doing so because there are about 15 flying creatures that will swarm at you when you Zip Line across and if you don't shoot them while Zip Lining, you will lose a great deal of your Energy. Leave Kraid and you will see a cut-scene showing Ridley's arrival. Go to the right to activate a Chozo Relevation leading you to Norfair. Go to Norfair. In Norfair, go to the large room on the right and Speed Boost from this room through to the room on the lower right. In the room on the left here, Shoot the blocks out of your way and Speed Boost right. In the next room down on the left, shoot the creatures and open the Red Hatch with a missile. The room you Morph Ball to and the right is ultra-heated. Jump up to the ledge you could not reach before. Fall. Bomb the wall on the right and enter the hatch above you as there is no way to continue through the one in front of you. Recieve a Chozo Relevation from the Torizo Statue and it will take you back to Brinstar. Leave this room and jump to the ledge on the right. It is a mirage and will reveal a Speed Ball machine. Set a Bomb and blast up. Go to the top of the second long vertical room in Brinstar. Go right When you reach a barrier creature, go up and over. Save and go back to the left. Shoot the ceiling. Move up. You won't be able to reach the ledge on the right because of the pitfall blocks on the left, so freeze the floating creature to jump across. Shoot above you and enter the hatch on your left. You won't be able to get through at first, but the leech-like bugs eat them for you. If they get on you, Morph Ball and lay a Bomb. Jump up to the ledge on the left. You will encounter a new type of block that I refer to as Delay blocks. When you jump on them, they will begin crumbling and you will have a moment to jump off before it gives out on you. Let the leeches destroy the barrier creature before you go through. Pick up an Energy Tank in the acid. You won't be able to continue to the left so you will have to go right. Dive into the acid by destroy some of the blocks in the second pit. You will need to destroy another of those barrier creatures, so before you jump down you should go up to one of those machines that goes up when you shoot them and find some of the leeches. Let them crawl on you and transport them to the barrier. Get a Chozo Relevation where you come out. Go to Norfair in the vertical room where you got Hi-Jump/Spring Ball. In a room with a Torizo Statue, there is a Morph Ball passage to an ultra-heated area. Bomb your way around here. Jump the ledge and in the next room you will have to clear away many blocks so that you can Speed Boost and jump up through some Speed blocks. Destroy the giant creature in the next room with missiles. Past a Save room you will find 2 corridors leading to the same place. A red hatch where you will find the Map Room for Norfair and an acid pit? What's an acid pit doing here? Well it isn't there. Go through it. Go through the hatch on the right. Jump on the little pillars across. If you fall, you will have to jump and Morph Ball through the lava and start over. Save and go back left. Shoot the ground near the hatch on the left. The lava is a mirage. Practice using the Wave Beam and use it to clear some blocks out of your way and Speed Boost to the other side of the ultra-heated room. You will have to defeat the TWIN LARVAE. See the Boss Guide. Speed Boost to the right and down. Pick up the Missile Tank here. Clear away the Reaper Vines that block your path. When you reach a dead end, Morph Ball in the lower-left corner to get to another boss. After beating the Hornet Pupa, go to Ridley. You will see the cut scene where Ridley arrives on Zebes. You won't be able to do anything here, so you should go back up to Norfair where the Pupa will be gone. Jump down there. Now you will have to fight the Hornet. Open the Green Hatch to the left of the Save Room. Go through this room and open the Red Hatch. There is an Energy Tank in this room and it appears easy enough to get, but there are 4 blocks in this room that are a mirage. If you are careful, it is possible to avoid falling. If you do, lay a Bomb in the next room and destory all of the blue and red circle creatures. Then go down in the next room. Save on rhe left and Morph Ball downward. If you fall, then you should go through the rooms on the left. Then you can Morph Ball downward to continue (go back to get the Energy Tank first though). Go all the way down, shoot open a Red Hatch and you will be in the Map Room. In the next room you will find a passage on the ceiling can act as a shortcut in 2 places, otherwise you are stuck fighting your way to the right side. Keep your beam to the ceiling and you are sure to find the shortcuts. Save. Go up and enter the first room on the left. Go across. When you reach a room with 2 blue circle creatures and a Missile Tank, fall and Save. Then destroy the Living Door and enter Ridley's Chamber... he's not there. Go across and get UNKNOWN ITEM 3. Go through the wall on the left and then go back to Ridley's Chamber. Speed Boost to the right and blast through as far as you can go. There is an Energy Tank here. Leave. Enter the vertical room on the far right and go up. There is a runic block that you can shoot and walk through the mirage wall behind it. Go back left and move through the maze. Shoot the farthest left block in the upper level of the room with a Missile and then Bomb the 2 blocks that are in the way of moving left. Leave this room and you will find yourself at the elevator to go back to Norfair. When you get back, the right wall will crumble to reveal a broken Torizo Statue. Go to the upper right and then down and double back left past the elevator shaft. Begin Speed Boosting and you will break through a few sets of blocks and finally some blocks that reveal a Speed Ball machine. Speed Ball through a lot and go to the left. You will have to go around some turtles, but not for long as in the next room you will find SCREW ATTACK. +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* ================================================================================ xvi. *.* Through Tourian *.* ================================================================================ Go through the rooms back to the dead end. Screw Attack through the floor on the right. Follow the map back to Brinstar to the 2 faced tunnel of Kraid and Ridley's faces. If you run into trouble, remember that Screw Attack blocks are placed everywhere to get you places convieniently. When you reach the statues it will become the tunnel that will lead to Tourian. A cut-scene will show the Metroids killing the Space Pirates. Go through the Save Room and go until you meet your first Metroid which actually come out of nowhere so you have to be careful of them. If they do latch on to you, they suck your life quick, so Bomb them off as fast as you can. Then freeze them and shoot them with Missiles. You will have to take out A LOT of them. When you reach a room that seems to be clear, but the hatches are still gray, Bomb the floor to find MANY. Try not to make the same mistake I did and fall through BOTH floors at once because then you have about 7 of them on you. Save. When you take the elevator up, you should find that you have to jump a few more ledges and shoot your way through some columns. Speed Boost all the way to the right and there is your ship. Jump in and fly away... but... you are attacked and your Power Suit has been disabled. You will quickly find the Map Room where your Gun will process the map data. Enter the Save Room. Notice Save Rooms here are more advanced and will not only allow you to save, but as in Metroid Prime, they will restore your Energy Tanks to full power. Unlike Prime, they will also restore your weapons. There is a Red Hatch, but you can crawl through a vent above the hatch. You will most likely be caught jumping down. Here's a map to get to the nearest hiding point. 'H' is the Hiding Room. ___ ___ | |H _ <--- Crawl and then jump up. There is a mirage wall on the upper left. |___|S|M| Avoid the Green beams in the next room as best you can, but there will be one you can't avoid... _|H| <--- You will run into a barrier, and some pitfall blocks. Jump | | | up a few platforms and they will stop searching for you. _____ _| | | | |___|_| |_____|_| There is a room with a green spaceship in it. It will show up on the map. Not long after there will be a Save Room. Recharge there and head out. Go up to the left from the Red Hatch. You will find a Blue Hatch 3 levels down that will take you to yet another Red Hatch. Shoot away 3 blocks and fall... another trap... _ | | | | |___| <--- Spaceship | | _|S| | | |_ | | | | |___| |H| <--- You will fall down some pitfall blocks into this room where it will take a minute, but they will call off the search for you. In the next room, don't get caught by the search lights. Just don't. Take the second blue hatch in the upper-right of the room. Snake your way around the ledges in the next room and shoot through some crumbling blocks to the Save Room. Here are more Security Lasers. Avoid them. It is possible to get through them all without getting hit. Exit the room in the upper left. You will come to a room where there are blocks all along a wall. DO NOT SHOOT THESE. They are reactionary and will cause you to fall through the floor right in front of a pirate! Avoid them, but you will still most likely be caught in the next room or two. Crawl across the Delay Blocks and continue going across until you fall and run into some more. Follow the map for more... _____ _ | | | |H ___| | <--- If you are a Wall Jumper, you can lead the Space Pirate to the |H|_|<- | | lower-right and then Wall Jump up to a ledge on the right. | | | | Here, there is a ledge but if you stay on it, they will find you. Take cover on the left wall where there is a mirage. Shoot the left wall in the next room. As you continue, you should see Power Bombs in the next room... HEY! Their stealing them... run after him, but it is impossible to catch him. In addition to all of the Latent abilities you had already recovered, the Unknown Items are revealed to be PLASMA BEAM, GRAVITY SUIT, and SPACE JUMP. Experiment with them, especially the Space Jump. Leave this room by Space Jumping to the top of the room. Go to the bottom of this room with the ledges. Destroy all of the Space Pirates you meet with your Plasma Beam which will easily pierce and destroy all in your path. There are some Missile blocks in front of the hatch to the Save Room. Notice there is no resistance in water. Go up and then fall down a long shaft. Go through the next room and notice the lack of resistance in the lava and the lack of damage. Now, you can begin to backtrack through the area that you have already covered. When you get back to the Space Pirate Mother Ship, begin exploring. You will quickly meet a Shadow Pirate which are lethal fighters and not nearly as disposable as the regular pirates. Make your way up to the very top of the Main Map (the downloaded map, not Chozo Ruins) You will find at the bottom left of the very large top room of the Mother Ship there is a hole. You will find your POWER BOMBS. Go into the room next to the tank and set one off. Space Jump up to find another. Go back up to the big room and then to the upper-right. Use Power Bombs when necessary to clear Power Bomb blocks out of your way. You'll find a Robotic Ridley at the end of this corridor. Go through this door and across until you find a room where there are a bunch of turtles in a central tube. There is a Speed Ball device at the bottom. Lay a Bomb to speed up to the top and take the hatch on the right. After the Zip Lines have been activated, you will notice the red switch in the middle. Bomb it and time a second bomb to Bomb jump you up to the line. When you are above the Missile Tank, press A to fall and get it. Space Jump down until you find a ledge on the left. There is a Missile Block on the top block on the upper left of the ledge. Shoot it and Spring Ball into it and you will find the Missile Tank on the other side. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ii. Energy Tanks -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>>>>BRINSTAR<<<<< *-* [ --- ] *-* You would have to try to not get it. Find it right after your second battle with Burrower. *-* [ Bomb Jump OR Hi-Jump ] *-* In the corridor that you start in, there is a circle on the eighth map unit right. Shoot the ceiling on right of that room. There is an Energy Tank there. Now the trick is getting it. If you are a Bomb Jump master, it is three levels up, but if you aren't, you should wait until you have Hi-Jump and you can jump off the ledge on the right. *-* [ Varia Suit ] *-* Right after getting Varia Suit, there is an Energy Tank in the acid. Bomb the ground all along the bottom and you will find a 2 block opening. Destroy the creatures and then right from where the pitfall blocks start, Speed Boost to the left and back to the door. Right before you reach the door, press DOWN. Then press A and RIGHT. In the room after the Red Hatch, there is an Energy Tank, be sure to jump over the 4 block gap, or go around if you fall. *-* [ --- ] *-* After getting Unknown Item 3, the wall behind it is a mirage. Go through it and an Energy Tank is sitting there. *-* [ --- ] *-* There is an Energy Tank on the right of Ridley's Chamber and the Save Room there. Shoot the ground in the room where you Speed Boost through the right wall, to the right of the tubes that let out infinite flies. There will be a 1 block opening. Go all the way to the right of this room and when it seems you've reached the end, shoot the ground next to the door. Jump in the "lava" and exit through the door on the left. *-* [ Bombs AND Super Missiles ] *-* Under the Save Room that is connected to the Elevator room to Brinstar, there is an unmapped room. Go to it via a Green Hatch in a room you used to Speed Boost to a lower level on the far right vertical room.
