Legal Info <--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--> <-/----------\-> <-|Introduction|-> <-\----------/-> Hi! This is a guide to the Secret Disks and Cyber Elves in the game Megaman Zero 3. If you don't know what Secret Disks or Cyber Elves are, just scroll down to the section, where it will be explained for you. This guide is written from the text of the English version of the game, so most description text in this guide is a direct copy of what's written in the game. Anyways, let's start! <--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--> <-/-----\-> <-|Updates|-> <-\-----/-> +=(Version 0.0)=+ September 4, 2004 Worked out what I'm going to do in this guide, the layout, the headings, and the decorations. Wrote the Table of Contents, Intro, and Updates Sections. +=(Version 0.5)=+ September 13, 2004 Finished the Secret Disk List, and missions up to Hellbat Schilt (excluding Blazin' Flizard. Also finished the Q&A, Contact, Credits, Thanks, Special Thanks, and Legal Sections. +=(Version 0.51)=+ September 15, 2004 Finished Blazin' Flizard and Deathtanz Mantisk's Secret Disks sections. +=(Version 0.52)=+ September 19, 2004 Finished Baby Elves (Part 1), Anubis Necromancess V, Hanumachine R, Blizzack Staggroff R, and Copy X Mark II's Secret Disks sections. +=(Version 1.0)=+ September 26, 2004 Finished Cubit Foxtar, Glacier Le Cactank, Volteel Biblio, Tretista, Kelverian, Baby Elves (Part 2), and the Final Stage's Secret Disks sections. Also finished all the Cyber Elves. Which means this guide is COMPLETE! Not final, but it's still COMPLETE! +=(Version 1.01)=+ October 19, 2004 Added some more to the Questions and Answers section, Fixed Phantom's disk. (Thanks Dan Blanco!) +=(Version 1.02)=+ November 24, 2004 Added some more to the Questions and Answers section. That's about it. +=(Version 1.03)=+ May 15, 2005 Touched up a few things in the whole guide. Added even more questions in the Questions and Answers section. +=(Version 1.1)=+ August 1, 2005 Switched the places of the Secret Disks by Number section and the Secret Disks by Mission section, because of complaints that all my guide said was what level the disks were without scrolling down to the mission section to see where excatly the disks were! Also added more questions from my e-mails. +=(Version 1.11)=+ February 20, 2006 Fixed a few typos that some people pointed out in their e-mails. Thanks! Answered a few more e-mail questions too. Also fixed the Introduction section to make it seem less forceful and controlling. This guide is pretty much done, all I'm probably going to do more on this guide is to answer your e-mailed questions. +=(Version 1.12)=+ September 24, 2006 Answered more e-mail questions from everyone. That's about it. <--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--|--> <-/---------------------\-> <-|Secret Disks by Mission|-> <-\---------------------/-> In this section are the Secret Disks sorted by mission. There are 10 in each mission and 20 in the Resistance Base for a total of 180 Secret Disks. This section should tell you almost exactly where it is, but if you need more help, go look in someone else's complete FAQ/Walkthrough. Also, in each stage, it's sorted further by the order you probably would get them. The Secret Disks you get from enemies are based on the how many times you kill a certain type of enemy. So you can repeatly kill a certain type of enemy until it drops it. But a better way is to just go on through the level, killing, until you get it. Some are also hidden in boxes, in hard to reach places, or out in the open. You can always go back to the area and get it if you missed it the first time around. If you know what the number of the disk is, but not what mission it's in, look at the below section titled "Secret Disks by Number" and see what mission it's from. The Cyber Elves in the Resistance Base only show up for a while after a group of bosses, but not at the end of the game. Watch out for those. After each stage, at the ranking screen, you can read Secret Disks that have a Cyber Elf or E-Crystals in them. Also, you can't get enemies' Secret Disks if you're in Cyberspace. A: Read the guide. It's in there. Q: Can I get Secret Disks after I finish the mission? A: Yes, talk to the command room operators and choose "Transfer back". Q: Can I get Secret Disks in Cyberspace? A: Yes, but not the ones you get from enemies. Q: Are ALL elves collectable, regardless of missing them the first time you play the stage? A: All of the Cyber Elves in the missions can be collected by revisting the stage if you miss them the first time. So don't worry if you miss some. The Cyber Elves in the Resistance Base only show up for a while after a group of bosses, but not at the end of the game. Watch out for those. Q: Do you have to use every elf on this Zero? Will you get something? A: Using every Cyber Elf does nothing special. Q: If you use a Sub Tank elf, will it lower your ranking each mission? A: If you use a Sub Tank elf, or any other fusion elf for that matter, it will lower yor rank for each following mission. Q: Can you tell me all the body chips? A: Grey - Zero doesn't recoil from hits - Beat Tretista Kelverian. Green - Allows Zero to step on quicksand - Beat Deathtanz Mantisk. Red - Zero's normal armor. Does nothing special - Start with it. Yellow - Charges attacks with thunder - Beat Hellbat Schilt. Blue - Charges attacks with ice - Beat Childre Inarabitta. Orange - Charges attacks with fire - Beat Blazin' Flizard. Q: I can't seem to find Phantom in Sub Arcadia level. Where is he? A: In Sub Arcadia, go through the usual route, and use the first cyberdoor you see. In the big room just after that, with moving platforms and spikes, go to the top left corner and enter the door there. Use the transporter there to meet with Phantom. Q: I tried going to where your FAQ said was Phantom's room, but all I found was Snoq, so could you tell me what I might have done wrong? A: You found Snoq, so you're in the right room. So, are you in the Cyberworld? Phantom's teleporter only works in that room if you're in the Cyberworld. If you are, you should be able to press up at the teleporter to take you to Phantom. Q: How do I get to Phantom? I get to the floor of the spike room in Baby Elves (Part 2) and never see him. A: You have to be in the cyberworld first of all, and his room is in the top left of the spike room. (Almost directly left of the passage into the spike room). Use the transporter to meet him. Q: Are the fusion Elves permanent, when used? Or do the effects wear off or something? I want to know before I use some of the better ones... A: The effect after using Fusion Elves that give Zero powers is permanent for the rest of the game, but it will also lower your mission scores for each mission after you use it. The effect of the Fusion Elves that do things like healing, giving extra lives, turning foes into Mettaurs, killing small enemies, ect. only last for the mission. Q: I can't go to Baby Elves (Part 2) to get the Ultima shoes. When I go to the level it transports me back to the base so can you help me? A: You probably got to the end of the stage, and got transported back to the base. Anyways, go fight Phantom (look in my FAQ for directions). Q: Okay, but who's Phantom, and I'm looking for the shoes not Phantom. A: Phantom is the guy you need to beat to get the Secret Disk that gives you the Ultima Shoes. Q: Number 162 is one that I need. I looked up the FAQ for it and it tells me I need to kill Shellcrawlers to get the disk. They are the small armored shooters in Glacier Le Cactank's stage. There happen to be only three Shellcrawlers in the stage, and I keep killing them all off and ending up with nothing. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? A: Whoops, sorry, that should say fourth. Kill one, walk forward until where you kill it is off the screen, and go back to it, another should appear. Q: No. 103 - 80 E-Crystals, I can't find it anywhere. A: After you get to Glacier Le Cactank's stage (Snowy Plains), go right until you reach a set of rails. Now drop down and go under the rails. There are crumbling platforms here. Go past the first crumbling platform (it's quite big) and break the second platform. Slide down the left wall of the pit that you just uncovered. You should end up in a crevice that's hidden by snow. Open the box in there for the Secret Disk. Q: What's the difference in ultimate mode besides the HP boost? A: In Ultimate Mode, all the fusion Cyber Elves that are permanent (gives Zero abilities) are already fused at the start of the game, all the Secret Disks are already found and opened, all the Head and Foot Chips that come from Secret Disks are already accessible, and you also can pull off charged attacks with D-Pad combinations. Q: "Drops by Phantom after you defeat him" I don't get it, what does it mean? A: You'll have to defeat Phantom (a optional boss) in Sub Arcadia (Baby Elves (Part 2)) to get them. Go through the usual route, and use the first cyberdoor you see to get into the cyberworld (Don't worry, your score won't go down for this cyberdoor). In the big room just after that, with moving platforms and spikes, go to the top left corner and enter the door there. Use the transporter there to meet with Phantom, and after you finish destroying him, you'll get the Secret Disk with the Ultima Foot Chip in it. Q: I don't know how or when to restart missions. Could you tell me? A: Talk to Ciel (press up), and select "Operator", then "Transfer Back", then select the mission you want. Q: I was on aonther site about MMZ3 the other day and don't know if it was a mistake or not, but I think it said something about a black Zero. So I'm asking is there a black Zero in MMZ3 or not? A: I don't think there is a black Zero in MMZ3, or at least I haven't heard of it. There are black Zeros in some MMX games, so maybe they got confused with those. Q: If you use a permanent elf in a mission it lowers your rank, but will it if you use it at the base? A: If you use a permanent elf, your mission score goes down for all the missions you do after you use it. No matter where you use it. Q: I cant find the chip #078 and I dont have it on my chip list. Can you help me, please? A: Right after the the third miniboss (The one with the Crossbines and the pillar with square buttons you have to attack), there's a Snakecord swinging over a ladder. Directly to the right of it, you should see a crack in the wall. Jump in the hidden room there for the Secret Disk. Q: I can easily get an A in every level but no S. Does the number of elves you use affect it? I've only used a few fusion elves. A: I think your problem getting it is you using fusion elves. Fusion elves will decrease your mission score, if you use them. The fusion elves with effects that carry on into the next mission will also decrease your score for every mission after you use it. Satellite elves have no penalty, so they're okay. So I suggest not using fusion elves or going into cyberspace. Q: How can you do the double jump? Do I need an elf? A: You need to equip the Double Jump Foot Chip to double jump. You get it after beating Cubit Foxtar. Q: I started hard mode. I'm collecting Cyber Elves and E Crystals like crazy, but when I go to the Cyber Elf list, I can't use them. It just says "list". Also how do you get the sub energy tanks in hard mode? A: You can't use Cyber Elves in Hard Mode. It's one of the things that makes it hard. As for the Sub Tanks, you can only get the two in the missions, because you can't use the two Cyber Elf ones. Q: I am Mech Gouki, the author of the largest Rockman Zero 3 guide. After reading your guide, I found some similarities to mine. I would like to ask you honestly, did you take any information from my guide? A: I didn't take anything from your guide, sorry if it seems that way. Any similarities you find are probably because it's the exact same in game text. I guess there's only so many ways we can explain the same thing. Honestly, I didn't take anything. Q: Can you tell me how to get 100% in this level? The place is Oceanic Hwy Ruins and boss is Childre Inarabitta. Please and thanks. A: For Childre Inarabitta's level, you have to race her little submarine and step on these four yellow buttons before she gets to them and destroys them. It's kind of hard to explain, so I suggest you look at a Complete FAQ/Walkthrough for more detailed instructions. Q: Can you tell how can I get the A rank more easier? A: One think to do is to make sure you do whatever you have to do to get the full mission score. You can find out what you have to do by looking in one of the Complete FAQs/Walkthroughs. Some other things are: complete the mission as fast as you can, kill a lot of enemies, take as little damage as you can, and use no retries. Also use no fusion elves, because that will lower your score for every mission after the one you use it. And don't go into cyberspace, either. Just keep trying and it shouldn't be too hard. Q: Is there any way to get 100% on every mission? A: Yes, it's possible to get 100% on every mission, though it's very tough to do so. You have to complete the mission and it's requirements, get a fast time, defeat lots of enemies, take no damage, use no retries, or use any fusion elves. The specific numbers for the time, enemies, and damage, as well as the mission requirements vary from level to level. Q: And do you get anything for getting all the Secret Disks/Cyber Elves? A: By collecting all the secret disks, and finishing the game, ultimate mode is unlocked, in which all secret disks are already found and opened, and all fusion elves that give Zero permanent abilities are already used on him, without any lowering of the mission score. You can also use D-Pad button combinations to use charged attacks. Hold R when starting a new game to start a game in ultimate mode. Q: Could you please help me on how can I get the EX skills from every boss, I mean, I do my best, but can you tell me any easier way to get their EX skills? A: There isn't really an eaiser way to do it. Just remember you need an A or S rank BEFORE you start your mission, and not just getting that rank for the mission you're on. So in another words, you have to get an A or S rank in the mission before the one you want the EX Skill from. Q: Where can I find the boot that make me invincible when I dash? I'm not able to do the stage with all the trees you can burn because of the boss. A: You get the Shadow Dash Foot Chip from beating Volteel Biblio. You fight him pretty late in the game though, so you might not be able to get it at the point in the game you're at right now. Q: I'm not able to beat the boss in the stage where you can burn the trees. What am I supposed to do to beat the boss? A: I'm not too sure what I did, it was such a long time ago, but I usually just use charged Z-Saber slashes with the boss' elemental weakness, and try not to get hit. I suggest looking at the Boss FAQ on GameFAQs for better help than me. Q: Where do I get *insert secret disk/cyber elf here*? A: I guess "Read the guide. It's in there." doesn't really help all too much. First of all, find which Secret Disk or Cyber Elf you want in the "Secret Disks by Number" section of my guide. There it will tell you which boss' stage to find it in. Now go to the "Secret Disks by Mission" section, find the boss' name, and in that subsection, find the number of the disk you're looking for. Now follow the instructions below the name of the disk to find it.
