Thank-you's-"The Cookie stand is open for business!" [THK] ---------- 1. [INT] Introduction "Jack in! Megaman!" MegaMan Battle Network 6 (Rockman.EXE 6) is perhaps the last game in MMBN. It is also one of the best, rivaling BN2 for the number one spot. I have many holes in this document, but eventually I will fill them. Any support from you guys would be greatly appreciated. [NOTE] If you haven't noticed, I now use Gregar and Falzar instead of Grega and Faltzer. This is because I'm using MMBN names (I will admit, however, that "Cybeast" sucks <_<). Besides, the puns I make here are worse than ANY name Capcom of America could come up with... So, here's how the FAQ's gonna work (keep in mind that this FAQ is geared more towards SP/Omega encounters, so some things may be different before the end of the game): -PLAYING AGAINST NAVIS- -Navi Name- [V1 HP/EX HP/SP HP/RV HP (for villains)] >Danger Level >General Strategy >Attacks: >>Attack Name Attack Description [V1 DMG/EX DMG/SP DMG] >Other Junk And, let's not forget our eight elements: -Fire burns Wood, Aqua douses Fire, Elec shocks Aqua, Wood grounds out Elec. -Sword splits Wind, Breaker shatters Sword, Cursor snipes Breaker, Wind blows Cursor's...um...targeting off. (Bear with me) ----------- 2. [PVL] Playing AGAINST Link Navis "There's TWO sides to every story!" -HeatMan- "Ssssssssssmokin'!" [700/1500/1900] >Danger Level: 3 >Strategy: Match is back. Again. Hoo-boy. Don't worry though, Heatman has been changed largely from BN2. As a Fire-type, Aqua chips are the order of the day. Very good, especially since you get those TrainArrow (Trident) chips early in the game. Just stay on your toes, and you'll be alright. >Attacks: >>Heat Wave Ever seen BN1's TimeBomb or Gaia? Well, here it is, back in a heat form. Before you scoff at this attack, though, he uses it merely as setup for other attacks. Later versions send the attack back to the front column of your field. [20/60/110] >>Heat Press I guess this is his signature move or something. Anyway, he jumps at you, trying to squish you. As he is withdrawn, he takes no damage. Later versions try to double-strike. As he lands, he attacks in a + shape around him. [_][X][_][_][_][_] [X][H][X][_][_][_] [_][X][_][_][_][_] [30/60/110] >>BackBurner HeatMan gets tricky, attacking your Navi's six (as in, from behind). His attack takes up a whole row, but HeatMan moves into the same row as the burner. Just pop in an Invis chip and go crazy. The less HP he has, the more times in succesion he does it. [_][_][_][_][_][_] [X][X][X][_][_][H] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [50/120/220] -SlashMan- "Wolverine and Taz's offspring?!" [800/1200/1500] >Danger Level: 4 >Strategy: This is proof that EVERYONE wants to be Zero. ...whatever. SlashMan's got a little illusion warp that he uses to try to confuse you, and he speeds up to QuickMan-like speed before attacking. Of course, SlashMan is a Sword-type, so thanks to the new element system, you can punish that freak with a DrillArm or some AirHockey. >Attacks: >>Wide Slash SlashMan SLASHES?! Would've never guessed...anyway, it's basically a WideSword, followed by LongSword in later versions. Of course, dodging this move too many times in succesion will put you in the right mentality to get hit by... [_][X][_][_][_][_] [_][X][S][_][_][_] [_][X][_][_][_][_] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [X][X][S][_][_][_] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [30/80/110] >>Rolling Slash After launching a few Wide Slashes, having this attack thrown against you will make it extremely hard to dodge. Basically, it's like the Whirly virus (AquaWhirl) from BN5. You'd better have good reflexes if you want to avoid this Tazmanian trick. [_][X][X][X][X][X] [_][M][_][_][_][_] [_][X][X][X][X][X] [60/140/240] >>Triple Kunai After seeing Rolling Slash, Triple Kunai is ridiculous. It's like SlashMan's charge buster, except that he shoots it thrice. Fortunately, the knives can be broken, especially with...Break-types! [30/70/120] -ElecMan- "I done handcuff lightning!" [900/1400/1800] >Danger Level: 3 >Strategy: ElecMan moves slowly, but his attacks come out quickly. To make matters worse, he can create two Lightning Pillars in your field to obstruct your movement and increase the range of ThunderShot. As an Elec-type, you'll want Wood chips, as usual. >Attacks: >>ThunderShot: Fires an electric beam down the row. If it hits a Lightning Pillar, it will shock in a +-shape around the entire field. [40/80/110] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [X][X][X][X][E][_] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [X][P][X][X][X][X] [X][P][X][X][X][E] [_][X][_][_][_][_] >>ElecSword: ElecMan jumps close to you and hits with a WideSword. [_][X][_][_][_][_] [_][X][E][_][_][_] [_][X][_][_][_][_] [70/160/220] >>LightningStrike: He lights up different sets of panels, then lightning strikes in the pattern of the previous sets. [40/80/110] -KillerMan- "Mass Murder...in kid-friendly form!" [800/1200/1600] >Danger Level: 4 >Strategy: Killerman keeps you busy, sending ghosts at you while attacking you with his other stuff. You have to pay good attention to what he's doing while fighting him. Oh, and he's Cursor-type, so smoke him with Wind-types. >Attacks: >>KillerPhantom He creates three ghosts, one on each row. They rush at you, but they go down against a MegaBuster shot. [30/60/80] >>Killer Eye Beam: Stick too far out, and our reaper friend will send a target around the perimeter of the field. Get caught by it, and you'll be stunned for a split second before KillerMan jumps up and hits you with Sensor. Ouch. [S][S][S][S][S][S] [S][_][_][_][_][K] [S][S][S][S][S][S] [100/170/240] >>Hell's Sickle Stick too close, and he'll pull a WideSword on you. The slash skips his row, hitting the one after that. [_][_][X][_][_][_] [_][_][X][_][K][_] [_][_][X][_][_][_] [60/90/120] -ChargeMan- "He just keeps going and going and..." [800/1500/2000] >Danger Level: 3 >Strategy: Ever wanted to see a Moloko (BN4 sheep) Navi? No? Well, they gave it to ya anyway. ChargeMan runs down the field constantly, making Beast Out virtually useless. This isn't Thomas the Train Engine, folks, these moves cause pain. Luckily for us, ChargeMan's Fire-type, so TrainArrow can derail this mechanical beast. Another thing to note is that if he waits a second before appearing on screen, he's switching attack modes. >Attacks: >>Charge Tackle: This is what happens when you let the "little engine that could" hit you. [_][_][_][_][_][_] [_][X][<][<][<][<] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [50/130/160] >>Charge Cinder: Hot rocks strike a few panels as ChargeMan passes by. [50/80/160] >>Charge Cargo: ChargeMan sometimes brings a few boxes to make it hard to dodge. [30/50/100] [_][_][B][<][<][<] [_][C][<][<][<][<] [_][_][_][B][<][<] >>Charge Bullet: ChargeMan stays in place for a bit, then rushes at you at Sonic speed. [100/150/300] ---------- 4. [PVE] Playing Against Evil Navis "Persistance pays off...right..." -BlastMan- "Capcom out of original names- Take 1" [400/800/1400/2000] >Danger Level: 2 >Strategy: BlastMan is one of the better first bosses...but then again, he's up against garbage like AirMan (BN2). His attacks are all fairly easy to dodge, and his Fire-Element means that Aqua-Types really mess up his day. V1 Field: [_][_][_][I][_][_] I=Iron Cube [_][M][_][_][B][_] [I][_][_][_][_][_] Other Versions: [_][_][_][_][_][_] [M][I][_][_][I][B] [_][_][_][_][_][_] >Attacks: >>Blast Explosion He throws...an explosion down your row. Good job, Capcom; you've made the lazyest attack sprite ever. [10/50/90/150] >>Fire Tornado Like TornadoArm (GyroMan, BN5 Protoman), except it hits the ENTIRE row. [X][X][X][X][B][_] [_][I][_][_][I][_] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [10/50/90/140] >>Blast Rain This is the attack he uses during your first "dungeon" stage. Basically, embers appear in a direction, and then are followed by fireballs that appear down every column or row. So what do you do? First, you find the side of your Iron Cube that you can hide behind. Then, you get over there! [V][V][V][_][_][B] [V][I][V][_][I][_] [V][V][V][_][_][_] then... [X][X][X][_][_][B] [X][I][X][_][I][_] [X][_][X][_][_][_] [20/70/150/270] -DiveMan- "You sunk my Battleship!" [500/1000/??/1900] >Danger Level: 3 >Stategy: We've got no obsticle-happy Navis this time around, but this boat- shaped freak show is close enough. Like a Marina virus on steriods, DiveMan stays hidden in his panels for about 75% of the time. When he does stand up, however, you should be ready to attack, or get out of the way. As an Aqua- type, ElecCross can sink this rusty sailboat quick, fast, and in a hurry. >Attacks: >>Dive Torpedo Two missles appear from random panels in DiveMan's area and rush at you. Yahn... [10/??/??/90] >>Dive Mine He shoots two mines, one of which will land on your Navi's panel. Again, yahn. [20/??/??/180] >>Dive Tsunami He attacks the two columns in front of you with waves. Man...this guy's about as exciting as Blizzardman. [_][X][X][X][_][_] [_][X][X][D][_][_] [_][X][X][X][_][_] [30/??/??/270] -CircusMan- "...and yet he's STILL not ClownMan." [700/1200/2100] >Danger Level: 3 >Strategy: Freaky, this one is. Well, everytime he jumps, he attacks. Your best bet is to stay in motion and hit with whatever you've got. >Attacks: >>Tiger Ring: He creates a flaming ring on the field, then tigers run through them at you. [20/50/??/130] >>Clap Circus: Basically a WideSword on your row. [20/50/??/130] [_][X][_][_][_][C] [_][M][_][_][_][_] [_][X][_][_][_][_] >>Chaotic Carosal: I dunno exactly how this works, but every time I've got hit with it, bad stuff happened. He turns into a giant carosal in the air, and if you happen to be on the target panel, it slams down on you and something freaky happens behind the curtain. Later versions target more than once. [69?/150+Paralyze/??/225+Blind] -JudgeMan- "Hah! You triggered my trap card!" [800/1100/??/1900] >Danger Level: 3 >Strategy: Whaddya know, ANOTHER freaky enemy Navi. There isn't too much to sweat about this guy, just watch out when he pulls out BookShield. >Attacks: >>Justice Whip: Hits you with an electric-looking whip, hits in a FighterSword-like manner. [_][_][_][_][_][_] [X][X][X][J][_][_] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [30/50/??/100] >>Death Tome: Creates two books that try to bite you. Kinda like the demonic books off of that one stage in Mario 64. [30/50/??/100] >>BookShield: Creates a RemoGate-like shield. The thing that seperates it from GateMan's shield, however, it the fact that it can emulate virus attacks. Star page is the Starfish Bubble, Flame is Hell's Burner, Rock is Golem's Arm. -ElementMan- "Capcom out of original names-Take 2" [900/1300/??/2000] >Danger Level: 3 >Strategy: ElementMan tries to be unique by changing elements, but his attack pattern is so stiff that it doesn't even matter. It almost always goes Whirlwind-Element-Whirlwind-Switch. Your safest zone is the middle-right panel. >Attacks: >>Whirlwind: Tosses a whirlwind in Boomerang-like fashon. Be sure to keep KillerCross away from that. [X][X][X][X][X][X] [X][_][M][_][_][E] [X][X][X][X][X][X] [60/100/120?/140] >>Meteor: Summons a few meteors to hit you from above. [60/90/??/200] >>IceBreath: Hits the 3 panels in front of ElementMan, leaving Ice Panels and freezing you if you're unlucky enough to get hit by it. [_][_][X][_][_][_] [_][_][X][E][_][_] [_][_][X][_][_][_] [30/80/??/120] >>Lightning: Strikes your panel with lightning. [60/100/??/160] >>WoodTower: Wood spikes chase after you, leaving Grass Panels. [M][X][X][_][_][_] [_][_][_][X][_][_] [_][_][_][_][X][E] [30/50/??/120] -Colonel- "Traitor! Reveeeeeenge!" [1200/1600/??/2400] >Danger Level: 4 >Strategy: Colonel, what a backstabber. On top of this, he's changed his arsenal around on you, too. Just stay quick on your feet and pack a couple of defense chips, and you'll be all right. >Attacks: >>Screen Divide: Screen Divide now shakes the screen. Oooh. But...there has been one addition to the Screen Divide arsenal: Screen Divide Z, which leaves you the middle- left and middle-right panels as a safe zone. You'll usually see Screen Divide Diagonal or V, followed quickly by Screen Divide Z. (Screen Divide Diagonal) [X][_][_][_][_][_] [_][X][_][_][_][_] [_][_][X][_][_][_] (Screen Divide V) [_][_][X][_][_][_] [_][X][_][_][_][_] [_][_][X][_][_][_] (Screen Divide Z) [X][X][X][_][_][_] [_][X][_][_][_][_] [X][X][X][_][_][_] [80/120/??/300] >>Colonel's Army: He don't need no stinkin' RockCubes! Colonel's Army is now restricted to the gunner, but the little bugger pops up into the field, waiting for you to draw level with him. 3x[30/50/60?/70] >>Militant Missle: Looks like Colonel Cannon got replaced. Colonel jacked some of MetalMan's missles, firing them at random panels in your field. Target panels are cracked. [50/80/??/210] >>Climax Swipe: Colonel tosses his cape. If it hits, the screen goes dark for a second, then shows Colonel in one of those overused sword scenes before your Navi dies (or goes to 1 HP with UnderSht on). You DON'T want to get hit by it. [_][_][_][_][_][_] [_][X][X][C][_][_] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [Instant Deletion] ---------- 5. [PVO] Playing against Others "Bass...yet again." -Gregar- "Bad doggie...wait, haven't I beat you before?!" -ProtoMan- "It's Zero time!" [1800/2000/2800(FZ)] >Danger Level: 4 >Strategy: Whether you call him ProtoMan, Blues, Zero-with-a-shield, or My Master, ProtoMan's aresenal changes will get you a few times, before you can adjust. You've gotta be quick to take him out, but keep in mind that he crumbles against Break-types. >Attacks: >>Wide Sword: Gee...the same Wide Sword's that's been in EVERY BN GAME? Why, yes. [_][X][_][_][_][_] [_][X][P][_][_][_] [_][X][_][_][_][_] [90/130/200] >>Fighter Sword: Surely you know this by now...it's LongSword +1 [X][X][X][P][_][_] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [100/150/220] >>SamuraiCut: ProtoMan attacks in an +-shape [_][X][_][_][_][_] [X][X][X][_][P][_] [_][X][_][_][_][_] [150/220/330] >>Blade Dance: Protoman dashes into you, moving multiple times. [1800/??/3400(BX)] >Danger Level: 5 >Strategy: Bass is back AGAIN. Like BN4 and BN5, he has no Aura, but he'll be all over you if you let him. You have to play smart to beat him; an all-out assault on him will get you deleted FAST. For starters, know that Dark Arm Blade, Darkness Overload, and Chaos Nightmare have been removed, leaving him with only TankCannon to crack panels. Pack some defensive chips and HP+ NaviCustomizer pieces. Good luck! >Attacks >>Shooting Buster Bass's machinegun buster returns! It hits random panels on your side of the field, but this time, it doesn't cause a flinch, so watch out. [60/??/260] >>Hells Rolling We should know this one by now. Bass sends two wheels at you, but now at the same time. [_][X][X][X][X][X] [M][_][_][_][B][_] [_][X][X][X][X][X] [200/??/440] >>TankCannon Looks like Bass pulled some GetAbility on some poor Navi. Cracks panels. I've only seen this attack once. [_][_][_][_][_][_] [M][X][X][B][_][_] [_][_][_][_][_][_] [150/??/??] >>Gust of Falzar Look at what Bass yanked off of Falzar! Our opposite Beast's whirlwind attack! If you haven't played Falzar Version, then I'll tell you that the attack is in sort of a T-Shape. Watch out, though, this sucker does really heavy damage, and will more than likely put the hurt on Killer Cross. [X][_][_][_][_][_] [X][X][X][B][_][_] [X][_][_][_][_][_] [NA/NA/550] -The Count- "Hoo boy...wait, ShadeMan's GONE?!" [1500/2000] >Danger Level: 3 >Strategy: ShadeMan's gone! Now, we fight a REAL vampire. The Count's attacks are very varied, but luckily the Gregar Crosses aren't affected by his element attacks. As usual, stay alert, and boot this vamp back to Boktai. >Attacks: >>Bloody Needle: Needles spike up from the ground. [??/160] >>Fireball Rain: Fires several fireballs at you. As his HP lowers, he'll attack in waves. [??/160] >>Undead Shock: Fires an electric bolt that explodes in a +-shape [_][X][_][_][_][_] [X][X][X][X][C][_] [_][X][_][_][_][_] [??/180] >>Rain of Blood: Rains down blood in a 3x3 range. Eww. [900/1800] Danger Level: 4 >Strategy: What we have here is another MegaMan DS, except that he actually has a couple of his own moves. As such, he speeds around like the drunken lovechild of Speedy Gonzales and Sonic the Hedgehog. You're gonna want to use NaviChips here, cause he moves too dang fast to catch him with anything else. Oh yeah...he inherits your SuperArmor, too. >Attacks: >>Beast Claw Slashes you with the first part of his chip-charge attack (LongSword). Causes paralysis, and acts as setup for Gregar Buster. [30/120] >>Double Beast Claw Slashes you with the chip-charge attack. Be especially careful of the second slash. [30 and 60/240 and 240] >>Gregar Buster G-Beast pulls out the machinegun and hits you a lotta times. Fortunately, the only thing that's keeping you under fire is the paralysis he's more than likely put you in. So, needless to say, SHAKE LIKE MAD!!!! [90/360] >>ThunderBall Same as chip. [30/120] >>Breath of Gregar And again, Gospel Cannon. Except it's much more dangerous since you've got freakboy using it. [NA/300] ---------- 6. [FAQ] FAQs "Hmm...an FAQ in an FAQ?" Q.
