Introduction {~I} ============================================================================== This great series all started out back in 2001 with MegaMan Battle Network, then came MegaMan Battle Network 2. Many new features were added, but the biggest and best changes came during MegaMan Battle Network 3. If you have played the previous games you will quickly learn what those new features are. If you haven't then you are missing two great games. In this game you play as Lan. Lan is a 5th grade student at ACDC School, and has a fully customized Navi called MegaMan. Navis are what people use to do surf the net. Together Lan and MegaMan have defeated many enemies that have tried to destroy the net. To find different parts of this FAQ/Walkthrough use Ctrl+F (Mac users use command or apple+F). The shortcut codes are in the table of contents above and look something like the {~??}. Type it with or without the brackets to jump to that section. Now, let's get this party started. ============================================================================== III. Game Basics ============================================================================== This section will teach you the basics needed to know to play the game. It tells you what each button will do for you when are in battle, and when you aren't. This section will introduce you to the main characters of the game, and their Navis. This would contain a battling system part, but there is on in the game already that is a lot better than anyone else could explain it. ============================================================================== 3.1 Controls {~CTRL} ============================================================================== >->D-Pad Moves MegaMan and Lan around Selects option >->Start Brings up menu Pauses in battle >->Select Use to select you default chip Input password for Navi Customizer >->A Talks to people Selects highlighted option Uses chip in battle >->B Closes & Deselects Hold to run Fires MegaMan's Buster in battle Hold to charge MegaMan's Buster in battle >->L Talk to MegaMan when Lan Talk to Lan when MegaMan Escape in battle >->R Jacks in (Lan) Jacks out (MegaMan) Chip information (Battle) ============================================================================== 3.2 Characters {~CHAR} ============================================================================== This section will help you to know more about each character and help you to understand what they do. --------------------Good Guys------------------------------------------------- Name: Name of nerson or navi Age: How old the person or navi is Navi/Operator: Who his/her navi is / Who his/her operator is Role: What they do in this game Name: Lan Hikari Age: 10 Navi: MegaMan.EXE Role: Main character that you play as in the real world Name: Mayl Sakurai Age: 10 Navi: Roll.EXE Role: One of Lan's friends who is always worried about Lan. The basics include how to choose what chips, how to fight, and the battling system. MegaMan Battle Network 3 Blue is a RPG. You play as Lan in the "Real World" and as MegaMan in the "Cyber World." When you are playing as MegaMan in the "Cyber World" you will encounter random viruses that you will have to delete in order to go on. You are able to run from the battle by pressing the "L" button when you first enter the battle, but you shouldn't do that unless you are very low on HP and are about to die. When you encounter a virus there will be a screen that comes up on the left side of the screen. It looks fairly similar to this (Kind of bad ACII art but it does the purpose): _____________________________________________________ | Chip Name | |-----------------------------------------------------| | |--------- | | Selected| | | Chip 1 | | Chip Picture |---------| | | Selected| | | Chip 2 | | |---------| | | Selected| | | Chip 3 | | |---------| | | Selected| | | Chip 4 | | |---------| | | Selected| | | Chip 5 | | |---------| |-----------------------------------------------------| | | Chip | Chip | Chip | | | Code | Element | Damage | | |-----------------------------------------------------| | | Chip Selection | | |-----------------------------------------------------| | | Chip 1 | Chip 2 | Chip 3 | Chip 4 | Chip 5 |---------| | | | | | | OK | |-----------------------------------------------------| | | | | | | | | | | | | | |---------| |-----------------------------------------------------|---------| | | | | | | ADD | |_________|__________|__________|__________|__________|_________| As I said before when you enter a battle this screen will come up. Now, you are able to choose a chip that you can use in battle. When you first enter the battle you will have five chips to choose from. Those are the ones labled Chip 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. It is possible to select upto five chips at a time. However, you can't choose just any five chips and use them all one after another. Below I there are three situations that will show you the three ways you can use your chips: You are given the chips: Cannon A Cannon B AirShot * ShotGun J Sword L The best thing you can do with these chips are to select the Cannon A and the Cannon B. You can do this because they are the same chips. Now, you are given these chips: Cannon A Sword L AreaGrab L MiniBomb B Shotgun J The best thing to do with these chips are to choose the AreaGrab L and then the Sword L. You normally can't choose these chips together, but since they both have the chip code L as their code then you can. Now, you are given these chips: Recov10 A Recov10 L Recov10 L Cannon B Shotgun J The best thing to do with these chips is to use the add feature. Select all the Recov10 chips and then press the add button. You will then have to fight a round without using any chips. Once that round of battling is over those three Recov10 chips will be gone and you will have three new ones replacing then PLUS three more. So, when choosing chips in battle there are two rules that you must follow when selecting chips: 1. You can only choose chips that are the same as each other (e.g. Cannon A and Cannon B). OR 2. You can only choose chips that have the same chip code as each other (e.g. Sword L and AreaGrab L). Then there is the add button that you can use. You can use that to get rid of a bunch of chips that you don't want there and trade them in for six more chips. Now, you encounter a virus while on the net and you get these chips: Cannon A Cannon B Shotgun J Recov10 A Sword L You will probably choose the Cannon A and the Cannon B. Then you will enter a battle. The chip selection screen will go away and you will now fight viruses. The screen look similar to this: Custom Bar [HP] <=============> [M] [M] [M] [E] [E] [E] [M] [M] [M] [E] [E] [E] [M] [M] [M] [E] [E] [E] Chip First off the part that says HP is where MegaMan's HP is displayed. The Custom Bar is a bar that will start to move to the right as the battle goes one. When it is full it will start to flash green and display L or R. When it is full you can press L or R to make the chip selection screen come back up. The part that says chip shows what chips you will be using next and how much damage it will do. Now, as MegaMan you will fight on the squares with a M in them. The enemies you fight will be over in the squares with an E in them. You have the ability by using AreaGrab chips to take some of your enemies squares and use them to your advantage (more on that in advanced battling). After you choose the chips you want you will engage in a battle. Using the B button allows MegaMan to fire his MegaBuster attack and the A button allows him to use the selected chips. Then when the custom bar is full you can use either L or R to bring back up the Chip selection screen. For more advanced ways on playing the game please see the Renown Folder FAQ and the NetBattle Strategy Guide. ============================================================================== IV. Then Ms. Mari will have everyone gather around. A person from the science lab will teach you the basics of virus busting. Do what the scientist tells you to until you are done with the three lessons. Then once the lessons are over Yai will decide that everyone should get together and chat tonight. Then everyone will head back to the classroom. >->Class 5-A<-< -Ms. Mari will give out homework for everyone to do. Once you have control of Lan jack in to the Blackboard and go to the top left to get a Reg-Up1. Jack out. Go to the bottom part of the class room and talk to Yai she will say that the meeting place to decide where to chat is in ACDC Park. Exit the classroom and school and head to ACDC Park. It is located right below Lan when he exits the school. >->ACDC Park<-< Everyone will be talking then this man from the DNN TV station will come up and ask if Dex, Yai, Mayl, and Lan would like to join the N1 Grand Prix Preliminaries. He said to go to ACDC square. Everyone decides to enter the N1 Grand Prix Preliminaries. Once you have control of Lan go home. >->Home<-< Once you are home talk to Mom, she is in the kitchen. Once you have talked to Mom head to your room. Once you enter your room you will get an email from Dex saying the N1 Grand Prix Preliminaries have started. Go to Lan's computer and jack in. >->The Net<-< Once in the net go straight ahead and go thought the warp. You will notice there is a yellow path. It leads straight to the square. Follow it, you can also go off the path to pick up blue and green data for chips and zenny, until you reach the square. In the square go up and o the right a bit and talk to the navi above Glyde. >->Round 1 of the N1 preliminaries<-< After talking to the Navi you will learn that the first round of the preliminaries is a true or false question. You will be asked a question and if the question is true you have to go find a data with an O on it, and if it if false then you need to find a data with a X on it. The first true or false question is Red means "Stop"! Well, the answer is true so you have to go find a circle data. Exit the square. Head back around the path go up the ramp. Take the first right and go past Roll and the squirrel. Follow the path a bit and take the first path you can go up. Then go right and up to find the O data. Return back to the square and talk to that navi. The second true or false question is A ton of lead is heavier than a ton of feathers. The answer is false they are the same. Go head up the ramp and to the right. Then take a left to get into ACDC 2. Once in ACDC 2 go along the path until you reach a place where you can go left. It will be a large rectangle. It is toward the top right of that rectangle. Now head back to the square and talk to the navi. The third and last true or false question is Adding every number from 1 to 10 gives you 54. The answer is false it adds up to 55. Exit the square go up the ramp and follow the path all the way back to Lan's Homepage. Right before you get there take a right and get the X data. Go back to the square and talk to the navi. >->Home<-< Now that you have finished the first round of the preliminaries Yai decides to meet have everyone meet at her homepage. Then Glyde give MegaMan YaiCode. MegaMan will automatically jack out. Head to the kitchen and talk to Mom. You will have dinner. >->The Net<-< After dinner go jack in. Head to ACDC 2. Once in ACDC 2 takethe first left you can then take a right and another right. Then go up thesecurity cube and press "A". The will be unlocked for you to pass though. Go through the warp pit. Talk to Glyde, Roll, and Gutsman to start the chat. After one hour of talking Yai decides that it is getting late and should be called a night. Then Mayl brings up the question did Lan and Dex do their homework. It turns out Dex left his disk at school. Gutsman says that they are going to go get the disk back. Yai decides that it would be fun to go to the school at night. Everyone decides that they should all go help Dex get back his disk. MegaMan will automatically jack out. Exit your house and go to the front gate of the school. >->School<-< When you get to the gate you will discover that the gate is locked. Go back home and jack in. Head to ACDC 2. Once in ACDC 2 head straight up until you can't then take a right. Then go up. Then you will see a navi standing by a key. Luckily the navi guarding the key is asleep and you don't have to fight him. You will get an email from Mayl saying the gate is unlocked. Jack out and head to the school. Head into your classroom, and Dex won't be able to find his disk. After Dex looks around for a while everyone spreads out and searches for the disk. Head to the cage in the bottom left of the classroom to find Dex's Disk. After giving the disk to Dex Yai hears something. Go start to leave the school then everyone will hear noises. The noise coming from the teachers lounge. You hear someone saying they got the first TertaCode. Dex, Mayl, and Yai charge in after the burglar. Lan follows them in there. Then Dex, Mayl, and Yai get hypnotized to think they were animals. Start heading back to the classroom. On the way talk to Mayl to get a Roll R chip. Then talk to Yai and Dex. MegaMan and Lan decide the only way to free them, from being hypnotized is to delete FlashMan. However, you need to get something to block FlashMan's hypnotizing light. Didn't class 5-A go on a field trip to do something with umbrellas? Go to classroom 5-A, and by the top left desk there is a parasol. Return to the principal's room. Lan will automatically use the parasol to block the light then he will jack in. >->School Net/School<-< Start following the path and take a right onto the path with red squares. Go up three red squares then talk to the navi in the top right corner. The navi pretty much says that to make it lighter in the Principal's PC you will need to turn on lights in the real world. Go to classroom 5-B and turn on the lights. Now go to the bottom left of the red square you are in to find a BMD that has 600 Zenny. Go down one red square then to the left one to a blue to find a BMD that has KeyDataA. But before you head back to unlock the door go back toward where you started. You will see another BMD containing a Reg-Up1. Now, go back the red square where the navi is. Take a right to use the KeyDataA to unlock the door. Follow the green path to find a BMD containing KeyDataB. Careful there also a BMD containing a virus in the second green square. Once you got KeyDataB go back to where the navi is and keep going straight to use KeyDataB. Follow the path to the bottom ands take the BMD in the far right corner to get a Recov10 *, unless you want to fight the viruses in the left corner. Keep going to the blue area to find KeyDataC. Return to where the navi is and unlock the door and go through the warp pit to enter area 2. Follow the path to the green rectangle. Talk to the navi to learn that you need three PassCodes to get through the door. However, the lights are out in area 2, so MegaMan can see some sort of statue. There is a statue in the teacher's lounge, so head there and turn off the lights. In the bottom right corner of the green rectangle there is a BMD with 1200 zenny. Head down into the next square and take a right. Follow that path a bit to find PasswrdC. Go back to the red rectangle and take a right onto that path. Then take another right, follow the path until you reach at square. Then find the BMD toward the top right of the square to find PasswrdB. Return to the red rectangle and take the last path. Take an immediate right. Follow the path until you reach what looks like pencils. Take a right follow the path to find a HP Memory. Go to the other end of the pencil path to find the final PassCode, PasswrdA. Return to the rectangle where the navi is to open the final door. Take a left and prepare to fight the first boss of the game. Flashman.EXE Hp: 300 Element: Electric Prize: Zenny After the battle FlashMan will use this light attack to do something to MegaMan. After you got control of Lan exit whatever room you were in to meet everyone. Everyone heads home to go to bed. Lan will automatically exit the school and you will receive an email from Dex asking you if you want to NetBattle, and he gives you DexCode. If you want you can go fight Dex in the park, or go to bed your choice, I would fight him if I were you. Gutsman.EXE Hp: 300 Element: Normal Prize: Gutsman G ============================================================================== 5.2 Part 2: Beastman (The animals attack!) {~W2} ============================================================================== >->ACDC<-< The day will start with a little kid walking around saying Ex' Coose me! He claims he's looking for the number one NetBattler, and that he is his brother. It turns out that MegaMan is having troubles ever since FlashMan used his light on MegaMan. Lan and MegaMan decide to go see dad so they can fix MegaMan's PET. Once you get control of Lan go to the Metro Station. When you get there, the little kid is blocking the entrance of the Metro Station. He wants to see his brother who he claims is the number one NetBattler in town. So, since it obviously isn't Lan go to the school to get Dex, the only one who would be claim he is the number one NetBattler in town, from Saturday school. Before you talk to Dex talk to the kid walking up and down the hall way to learn that Dex is has actually been calling himself the number on Netbattler in town. Now go talk to Dex. After talking to Dex head back and talk to the little kid. Head back to the school to get Dex. Dex starts getting excited saying Chisao is here. It turns out that the kid (Chisao) is Dex's little brother, and he came from Netopia (pretty much the other side of the world) to see Dex. It is up to you to let Dex win the fight or to win it yourself to prove you are the number one NetBattler in town. After whatever you do go to the Metro Station and get a ticket to the SciLab. Go board the Metro line. >->SciLab<-< Once you are off the train go up the stairs to your left. Take a right and one more right and go up the elevator. This takes you to where dad works. Talk to the scientist in the white coat to learn he is in a meeting right now. He will give you a SubPET for now until Dad will be able to fix yours. You will get an email form Dex saying he just made a shortcut from his homepage to ACDC square. Leave the SciLab and go home, but as soon as you get down the elevator the guy that met you in the park about the N1 Grand Prix come running up to you. He tells you the second round of the preliminaries are starting. He says the meeting place is in the SciLab Square. He leaves then comes back and gives you a CSciPass so you can board the cyber metro line. Head to Dex's house and jack in. >->The Net<-< Take a left when you get in his computer, and follow the green path to the warp point. You will see a security cube in front of you. Go up to it and use DexCode to unlock it. Take a left and follow the path, and talk to the navi with the hat on. Go to the SciLab. Go up the ramp, and follow the yellow path into the square. There is a Reg-Up2 is the yellow square just up past the ramp you can pick up. Once in the SciLab Square go the right and talk to the purple navi. >->Round 2 of the N1 preliminaries<-< The second round part one is a survival test you will fight three very easy viruses one right after another without healing. The first virus you fight is a Bunny, Mettaur, and Ratton. This is a very easy fight, because a cannon will defeat them all in one hit, or Gutsman will also. The second virus is two Canodum and a Mettaur2. Just dodge the attacks this will be another easy fight. The third virus is a Mettaur2, Eleball, and a Canodumb. Another very easy fight, but watch out for the Eleball he will come in your area and attack. The second round part two you have to find a navi disguised, and he is in the SciLab. You can buy some Hp Memory or some chips at the store here in the square and I recommend you do if you have the money. Exit the square. Take a right, left, and another right. Follow the path to get to SciLab 1 upper area. Follow the yellow path until you reach its end. There take a right and follow the path to a large rectangle talk to the evil looking navi to fight him. MegaMan and Lan talked about him being fake on TV and he went away to SciLab 1. Return to the SciLab 1 go up the moving ground take a left and go down. Go pass the purple navi and take a left to find the evil looking virus again. He will send three Ratty. This is easy if you stay at the back of your area and when they shoot their attack move forward they should miss every time if you wait long enough. Head back to the SciLab and talk to the purple navi. The third round part three is given by a navi in ACDC somewhere. You get CACDCPas. Head to the metro line and take it to ACDC. Follow the path like you are going to the to Lan's homepage. The navi will be on the yellow just as you enter ACDC 2. You will have a three part survival fight. The first fight is a Quaker and a Fishy. Really easy to win just dodge and attack. The second round is a Mettaur2, Boomer and HardHead. Try to stay in the middle row as much as possible so you will be able to dodge the boomers attack. The third fight is two Spikey and a Fishy. Another one all you need to do is move around and attack, very easy to win. All of sudden there is a huge problem with the PET, so go back to where you jacked in to exit. This would be the only time I would recommend to you to no fight any viruses. Lan's Mom reminds him that the school is taking a field trip to the school tomorrow. There is a ring on the door bell and Lan's Dad walks in. Go to bed after Lan tells his dad about the PET. >->ACDC<-< Lan overslept as he usually does. Hurry over to the school. Luckily they haven't left yet. The class heads to Yoka Zoo. >->Yoka<-< It turns out the school is closed, so you have a free day, all you need to do is be back for dinner. Go to the left and follow around to the inn. Then head upstairs and in to the room to talk to Mayl. Talk to the kid in the orange shirt to learn Yai went through there. Go through there and talk to Yai. Go press "A" on the fence to examine it. There is an announcement that it is bath time. You will receive an email from dad, who sent you a program to fix MegaMan. You get another mail, read it. It is dad again he gives you the Navi Customizer, it allow you to put buster upgrades into MegaMan. He also sends you a X-Tra Folder. MegaMan will open the Navi Customizer practice file. During this Dad explains how to use and run the customizer. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. There are three simple rules don't for get them. >->Yoka Zoo<-< Head out of the Inn then keep following the path to the zoo. You will get an email from Dad reviewing the rules of the Navi Customizer as you exit the room. Once you catch-up with the class Ms. Mari will say a few words. Then you can enter. In the zoo you need to read every information station, check every cage, and talk to everyone. After looking at all the animals head to the loin's cage. Lan, Mayl, and Yai talk about how the animals are acting a little weird, then the lion lets out a roar and a growl. Mayl and Yai jump and Lan calms them down a bit. The lion continues to make noise. You see Chisao being carried away by the condor! Dex comes running after him but he's too slow. Take a left to go through a path through a path between the lion's cage and the panda's cage. Follow the path and go to Zoo 1. Head around the gorillas to find out that someone locked the door so no one could get out. Keep heading around and talk to the little kid that there is shortcut or something back there. Go that way. There use to be a fence there, but obviously it was taken down by some animal. Head to the Inn. Exit the Inn by running far away from the snake. Head to the Zoo entrance and you will learn that the condor has Chisao up on top of the tower. Lan tries to get near to climb up the condor keeps attacking him. Dex, Mayl, and Yai come up and there is a call for help. It turns out that the zoo keeper is controlling the animals from the zoo office. The lady says you can jack in at the system by the panda cage. Head back around to the panda cage. Before you jack into the panda system go behind the panda cage and jack into the alarm system to get a Reg-Up1. Now jack into the panda system. In this area be sure to talk to all the programs to find out what each one is, because I won't tell you where each one is, I will just say go the the _______ program. Once in the zoo network head up and take a right to get 1000z. Then go back and keep going straight. Follow the path until you reach a place under you that looks like a cage. Take a right to get a Geddon1 D. Then when coming back take the path to your right to find a Mettaur looking like program. It is a mouse-like virus blocking the way. Go back toward where you started. Go past the cage. Then the next green program you see talk to find out that it is a cat program, and take it with you. The cat program destroys the mouse. Head through where the mouse-like virus was until you reach another cage. Keep going straight to get a HP Memory. Head back to the cage and take the other path to find a frog-like virus is blocking the way. Go back and get the snake type program. Head to area two. Once in area two head forward to find a rabbit-like virus blocking the way. Instead of getting something he doesn't like he is just lonely go back and get the rabbit program. The rabbit-like virus gets so excited it exploded (just me or is that weird). Anyways, keep going taking a right to find a Charge+1 Navi Customizer program. Then head back and take the other path to find 600z, and find a gorilla-like program. Go back and get the banana program. Keep following the path and take a left to find a CopyDmg * chip. Head straight up to find a sea lion-like virus. Head back and get the ball program. Just a little beyond the sea lion-like virus there is a clam-like virus blocking the way. Get the otter type virus, then head to area three. Straight ahead is a huge tree-like virus. Go to the bottom to get the Recover 30* chips and then to the middle to get the beaver-like program. Head straight up and take the second left to find a Cannon C. Then go back and take the first left you came to. Pick up the 800z, and take your next right to find two panda-like viruses are blocking the way. Head past the programs to find the Navi Customizer program SneakRun, and on your way back pick up the tire, and the bamboo program. Keep going take a right to find a mongoose virus blocking the way. Go back and get the cobra program. Next is a jar- like virus, to get rid of this one get the octopus program. Head to area four. In area four take a left then another left to get a Reg-Up2. Head back to find a monkey-like virus and a peanut-like virus. Take a right and you will run into a parrot-like virus. Go up take a right then another right to get a HP+100 Navi Custiomizer program. Pick up the tongue twister program to get rid of the parrot. Go through there and onto the cage to get the walnut and chestnut programs. Follow the path at the fork take a left to get a Hammer T. Take the other path to bump into three viruses. To get rid of these get the tiger, sheep, and dog like programs. Save, because you are going to be facing a boss. BeastMan V1 Hp: 500 Element: Normal Prize: Zenny BeastMan is actually really easy to beat, he is just really fast moving. Watch out for his attacks when he jumps into your area. I recommend using ZapRings to paralyze him so you will be able to use some other attacks. Also GutsMan will help, because he will make it so that BeatMan won't have many squares to move to. There is a quick scene where Chisao fall and Dex saves him. There is another scene in the park, and one with Wily. ============================================================================== 5.3 Part 3: Bubbleman (Bad Dishwasher) {~W3} ============================================================================== >->School<-< There is a quick lesson from Ms. Mari saying that is possible to shrink your navi. Go talk to Dex, Yai, and Mayl. After talking to them you get an email from Higsby. He wants you to do him a favor, so exit the school and go to Higsby's store. >->Higsby's Chip Shop<-< Talk to Higsby to learn he is sick and he needs you to do him three favors. Once you are done talking to Higsby you get an email from saying she made a shortcut from her computer to the SciLab square. The first job Higsby wants you to do is to pick up an OrderSys from him. Head to ACDC Metro station, and talk to the business man. It turns out that he left his bag in the Yoka Inn, and he would like you to go get it for him. Head to the Yoka Inn and go to the room. Check under the big brown table for the bag. Go back to the businessman and give him his bag. He gives you OrderSys, and head back to give it to Higsby. The second job Higsby wants you to get 1000z from a navi who didn't pay him for his chips. Head to ACDC 1 and jack in. Once you jack in take a right the bad navi is right there. You will have to fight a virus containing SnowBlow, and two Canodumbs. He pays up, head back to Higsby to give him the money. The third job he wants you to delvier a Ratton1 C to a red navi in SciLab 2. Head to SciLab 2. The navi is right next to the squares entrance. Go and talk to Higsby. You get a Snake R chip. >->The Net<-< You get an email saying the N1 Grand Prix preliminaries are being held today. It is in a secret location. The hint is "Enemy of viruses; Cyber Square; yellow". Head to SciLab square. There is a pink navi standing by the warp point that leads to Yai's computer. Give her a LongSword E and she will give you a CYokaPas. If you don't have one exit the SciLab and fight a Swordy virus. The navi will tell you to use the ticket and go to Yoka Square. So, go to the Cyber Metro and go to Yoka. The Cyber Metro leads right to the Yoka Square. Head down the ramp then go down another and talk to the navi. You learn that you have to use the PreFolder, which sucks, because the chips are terrible in it, but oh well. First mission there are five people dressed like navis in the real world. Head to the five locations listed below and fight each of the viruses, each virus is easy to beat: >->ACDC Town Behind Yai's House Mettaur2, Windbox, Boomer>->Left of Yoka Zoo entrance Spikey, Spikey2, VacuumFan >->Yoka Inn Outdoor Bath Swordy, Swordy, VacuumFan >->SciLab by Vending Machine Windbox, Beetle, Ratty >->ACDC School Teacher's Lounge Mettaur2, Hardhead, Windbox Once you have beaten all of those head back to Yoka Square and talk to the Navi. Mission two is a simple survival battle. The first of three battles you a Quaker and an Eleball. In round two you fight a Mettaur2, Canodumb, and a Beetle. In the third and final round you fight a Canodumb2, Windbox, and an Eleball. Now you have made it to the N1 Grand Prix Finals! Jack out and go to bed. >->Home<-< You wake up and Lan is extremely exited that it is Saturday and wants to find something to do. Then MegaMan reminds Lan that he promised to help Mayl. You get an email from dad saying he is going on a business trip for three days. Head over to Mayl's house. >->Mayl's House<-< Ms. Mari is also there wanting to test out the new Bubblewash. Higsby walks in and Mayl gets a little worried. It turns out that Mayl owed Higsby money for a chip and promised to work it off for him. But since she is waiting for the Bubblewash you have to do it. So, Higsby sends you to find a Wind *. Head to Yoka 1 or 2 and fight a Windbox to get one. Head back and give the chip to Higsby. Everyone has tea then the long waited for bubble machine arrives! It gets installed, but Lan notices that there is no jack in port. Mayl and Ms. Mari decide to try it out. When they do bubbles encircle them. Now, you are stuck to save them. Head to Mayl's room and jack into her computer. >->The Net<-< Follow the path around the outside of her homepage until you reach a warp point. Take it to find BubbleMan. It turns out he made all of this happen, and you are going to have to chase him to fight him. He jumps over Mayl's security cube. Then you get an email from Mayl, and she gives you Roll V2 R and MaylCode. Now luckily BubbleMan leaves a trail of bubbles wherever he goes. Follow the trace of bubbles to ACDC 2. The bubbles lead you to ACDC 3. Next they take you to ACDC 1 and the Cyber Metro station. Take the Metro to Yoka. Exit Yoka Square, and follow the path of bubbles to Yoka 1. Continue to follow the path until you can't. Now you need to find a compression program to continue following BubbleMan. Jack out and head to the SciLab. >->SciLab<-< Talk to the scientist with the lab coat on to find out there is a PresData in the computer. Head Straight up, and talk to the program. Fight three Shrimy, then he will realize who you are and give you PresData. >->ACDC<-< Now you find out that the Navi Customizer is too complex to handle this program, so head back to Mayl's house and talk to Higsby. The Navi Customizer is too complicated for Higsby to modify. Exit Mayl's House. Luckily there is this dude that happens to be outside who can modify it for you. Now place PresData in your Navi Customizer and head back after BubbleMan. >->The Net<-< Go back to where you weren't able to follow BubbleMan any longer and now you can continue on that path. Take a left after going over ht little path. Follow the other little path around until you reach BubbleMan. BubbleMan makes some sort of bubble in front of you that you can't break without a Needle. You have to chase after three dumb Navies who tell you where they are going. You get an email from Higsby saying the bubbles turned yellow, and to hurry before they explode. Head to ACDC 2. Go to the big white rectangle in ACDC 2. They will make you fight a virus containing two Mettaur2s, and a Canodumb2. Defeat the virus then find out then you will have a style change. I would recommend improving this style. The Navis run to SciLab 1 now. Head to the lower part of SciLab 1. Follow the path down there to run into them. This time you will fight three Spikey2s. After the fight is over they run again, but they tell you again (idiots). Head to Yoka 1. They are located by where BubbleMan is (man these guys are dumb). Well, anyways defeat their virus of Fishy, Ratty, and HardHead. Use the Needle to pop the bubble. Follow the path to BubbleMan. BubbleMan HP: 500 Element: Aqua Prize: Zenny BubbleMan is very easy to beat just make sure to hit him with your chips don't waste them. Shoot the bubbles coming up to blow them up. When he goes in his bubble charge your buster and fire then use your chip. After you defeat him he will beg for you not to delete him. The bubbles were about to explode and Protoman comes to the rescue and deletes BubbleMan. Everyone says thanks, and Higsby heads back to his shop. Head home and go to bed. Just before you get to bed you get an email from Dad explaining whatever style you just got. ============================================================================== 5.4 Part 4: DesertMan (The N1!) {~W4} ============================================================================== Chaud is looking out over the water at the beach then a man, who is his dad, tells him to go train , but Chaud doesn't want to. >->Home<-< Lan wakes up and gets an email from the N1. It turns out the N1 is being held tomorrow at the beach. Lan wants to go talk to everyone to invite them to come to the beach square with him and MegaMan. >->The Net<-< Jack in, and head to Mayl's computer. Head to the bottom part of Mayl's computer and talk to Roll. It turns out she has to go buy a CD with Mayl, so head over to Yai's computer. Once in Yai's computer head right to talk to Glyde. However, Yai has to study today, so I guess head to Dex's computer to talk to GutsMan. Once is Dex's computer head to where the transport to Yoka Square is and you will see a program talk to it to learn GutsMan is taking an endurance test in Yoka. Head to Yoka 1 by the water heater to see Dex. GutsMan is currently in a battle, and says he will meet you there. You get an email from DNN with a CBeacPas. Now head to the Metro station and go to Beach. Once you are in Beach head up the ramp, and follow the orange path until you reach a ramp going down. Go down the ramp, and take a right. Then continue to follow the orange path to a little path. Take the little path to the other end then follow the orange path to the warp and take it. Then go in the other warp to get to the Beach Square. Head up the ramp and talk to the pink navi to you right. They are interviewing MegaMan and GutsMan then all of a sudden there are some fans out of control in the beach area. They run off to find it. Exit the square. Go down and take a left. Don't go down the ramp but keep going then take a left. Follow the path and take your first left to get to Beach 1. You hear a scream, keep going then you bump into a purple navi. You have to defeat a virus containing two Mettaur2 and a Tuby. Then take the moving walk way at the bottom. Take the ramp down and fight another purple navi. The virus this time is a Conodumb2, Boomer, and Tuby. After defeating them take a right, another right, and another right. Follow the path to fight another purple navi who sends a virus at you with two Swordy, and Tuby. After defeating him go to the warp. Head straight up there is a little confutation, and Protoman comes in and deletes two of the three Navis. The third jacks out. You jack out. There is a quick thing with Wily talking to someone about deleting Protoman. >->Home<-< Mom calls down Lan from his room. She wants you to take DataDisk to dad. You automatically exit your house and you get mail. It is Mayl she made a shortcut from her homepage to the Yoka Square. Head to Dad's lab. >->SciLab<-< Talk to the scientist in Dad's lab to learn he is in a meeting. He will deliver the DataDisk for you when he gets out. Head down the elevator. When you get down Dad and Chaud will run into you. Dad gives you PET Case so your PET won't break again. Head home to get some sleep. >->Home<-< Lan wakes up quickly, he talks to MegaMan. Then you get an Email from Dex. Head to the Metro station and take it to Beach. >->Beach<-< When you get to the beach take a right and follow the path, take another right to go down the path. Take one last right and enter the DNN station. Go talk to the lady at the front desk. You have to wait in the lobby. Talk to everyone when you talk to someone who wants to fight you, Tora, you have to NetBattle. KingMan Hp: 500 Element: Normal Prize: Zenny This is going to be a very tough fight. I recommend that you stay on the far left side of your area moving from top to bottom, and firing when you can. Don't miss with any chip hit with everything. After defeating him he walks away, and the N1 announcer says for everyone to come to the platform. Go though the blue glass doors and follow the path to the platform. He introduces everyone. What is up with that guy called Netbattler Q? Weird, anyways it turns out the battles are going to be held on the mysterious Hades Isle. After you get control of Lan you get an email from Dad saying he is watching you on TV, and he gives you a thing to make you Navi Customizer bigger. Take sometime to rearrange some things. Now head out side head down and talk to the guy. You board the boat and they use sleeping gas on everyone. You wake up at Hades Isle. >->Hades Isle<-< Once you get control of Lan again enter Hades Isle. Enter Hades Isle and go up to the platform. You will be stuck using the Hades Folder for this fight. Jack In and you have to find a VictData to move on. Head to the upper little path and take it to the end. Then take the moving path, after the end of the moving path take a left and follow the path until you get to a BMD. It contains a HadesKey. Head Back to where you stated and take the ramp down. Stay on the path until you reach the door. Open the door with HadesKey and follow the path to get the last VictData. After you get it the four people who didn't fall, and you move on across a bridge that appears. Pick which door you want to go through. No matter what door you choose you fight MetalMan. However, the stage varies by what door, choose door by which your style will do double damage to. The rooms are listed from left to right. Fire, Sand, Aqua, Jungle MetalMan Hp: 800 Element: Normal Prize: Going on in N1 Just dodge the wheels moving back and forth and keep moving you should never get hit. Watch out for the gear that is the only thing that constantly moving won't help against. Just keep attacking until you win. You now have three minutes to find the next folder. I would recommend getting the N1FldrB, but if you want a different one here is a list of where they are (below in the X-Tra folder section there is a list of the chips in each one): >->HdesFldr Outside near the Gargoyle >->N1-FldrA The boy at the top, you have to take a quiz to get the folder. Q: Which is heaviest? A: 100 L of water Q: What is the fake job of BeastMan's operator? A: Zoo boss Q: Who is the host of N1's Hades Isle battle? A: Yasu Q: Which style is ideal for operators that use busters!? A: AquaGuts Q: Which of these is a breaking chip? A: CannBall >->N1-FldrB Where you fought your first battle >->N1-FldrC Scientist below the far left door. >->N1-FldrD Above boat When you get your folder you want head back to the room you fought MetalMan and go through the door, but you have to wait for time to run out first. Now you will have to fight GutsMan. Sad that you have to eliminate Dex. GutsMan Hp: 700 Element: Normal Prize: Going on in N1 Really easy to win. Just dodge his simple attacks and attack him. After defeating Dex you watch Yai, and others fall. Head out the final door, and get on the boat. >->Beach<-< When you get back you get an email from Sunayama to come to the studio. Head to the studio and talk to the girl, Ribitta, in front of the glass doors. She wants you to go look for Chaud. Exit the studio, and head along the beach path staying on the bottom area. Chaud heads to the studio, and you do the same. Now you have to fight Tora again. KingMan Hp: 800 Element: Normal Prize: Zenny This is going to be a very tough fight. I recommend that you stay on the far left side of your area moving from top to bottom, and firing when you can. Don't miss with any chip hit with everything. Now that you won Chaud and Netbattler Q are going to fight. You get an email from Mayl saying to come outside she has to tell you something. Hurry outside. It turns out that Yai hurt herself when she fell and is in the Hospital. Lan wants to go head over to the Hospital, but he gets a phone call from Yai, she is alright. Head back to the studio. Chaud and Sunayama Head to the operating room. Head there by going up the elevator and following the path. There is a scene when Chaud is about to give over Protoman, and Lan throws his PET at him to save Chaud. DesertMan HP: 800 Element: Normal Well, not much I can say to do against him. Use Bubblers they seem to stun him, and Sonicwaves work well too. Dodge the attacks and don't miss with any chips attacks. Sunayama tries to run but Chaud stops him and arrests him. Then there is a scene where shily is made at Sunayama for failing. Then a lady walks in and Wily whispers the location of the next attack to her. She leaves. ============================================================================== 5.5 Part 5: PlantMan (Trees that grow quick, too quick) {~W5} ============================================================================== >->School<-< One week after the N1 Yai still hasn't returned to school. So, everyone decided to go say hi to her. However, Lan forgot, as usual, that it is his turn to clean. After you are done cleaning you get an email from the news, read it. >->Beach<-< Then head to Beach St. Once there take the left path and it will lead you to the Hospital. Once in the Hospital go to the elevator and head to the second floor. Go all the way to the last door and enter it. Talk to Yai, and after talking to her for awhile she wants something to get drink. Head down the elevator to the first floor and go to the vending machine by the front desk. On your way back up a nurse runs in and asks for your help. She said that a boy in a wheelchair is missing and needs help. Exit the Hospital and go left. Go down the ramp and take a right to see the boy. His name is Mamoru. Lan and him talk for awhile, and then Mamoru heads back. Now you need to head back up to Yai. Give her the tea and talk a bit then Dex leaves, and Lan says he needs to check in with Mom, so he leaves. Head home and talk to Mom. >->Home<-< When you get home you learn that you have a guest in your room. Head to your room to see Tora there. Lan and Tora talk and have dinner. The vending machine is burning hot, then it catches on fire. Everyone evacuates except for Lan's Dad and a couple scientists. Lan gets an email saying what happened. Head to the SciLab. Once you learn that you can't get in you get a call from Match! He is behind this! You get an email from DNN saying that there are fires all over the net. >->The Net<-< Go home and jack in. Below I listed the areas that the fires are in, to get rid of them put Energy Charge in your Navi Customizer and use aqua chips: >->ACDC 1 >->When you first get out of Lan's computer take the first right you can >->Follow the yellow path until you see the next one >->ACDC 2 >->Take your first right after entering (Virus) >->Next to Yai's homepage entrance (2 BublSide F) >->Go down just before you get to ACDC 3 >->ACDC 3 >->Follow the yellow path, but don't turn keep going >->Down the ramp and to the right >->Past the squirrel go up and right (3 BublSide F) >->ACDC 1 (One leading to Metro Station >->Follow the path (BublSide F) Get a call from Match saying you have cleared all the fires is ACDC. >->Yoka 2 >->Go straight take right little path (300 Zenny) >->Go back and take left little path blocking path (2 BublSide F) >->Yoka 1 Lower area >->Blocking your path (virus) >->Yoka 2 >->Just below the entrance to Yoka 1 >->Yoka 1 >->At the start of Yoka 1 take a right and follow the path (virus) >->Where you fought BubbleMan (2 BublSide F) Get a call from Match saying you have cleared all the fires in Yoka. >->SciLab 1 Lower area >->The large rectangle at bottom >->SciLab 1 Upper area >->Follow the path then take a right then go up (virus) >->Follow the yellow path until it makes a T, then go left (300 Zennys) >->SciLab 2 (Coming from upper SciLab 1) >->Take your first left >->Go through the gate head straight, then go up then a right >->In the yellow square (400 Zennys) Get a call from Match saying you have cleared all the fires in SciLab. >->Beach 1 >->Take right moving walkway, and take warp (virus) >->Down moving walkway, down ramp to the left >->To the area where there was the riot day before N1 (3 BublSide F) >->Beach 2 >->Down ramp take left (virus) >->By beach square entrance >->Down ramp follow path, then take left (virus) Get a call from Match saying you have cleared all the fires in Beach. Get a call from Match saying you have cleared all of the fires, and FlamMan is in UnderNet 3. To get there go up then right and talk to the purple Navi. He will see your tally and let you in. Take the warp and you will be in Hades Isle. Head straight ahead to enter the undernet. >->THE UNDERNET<-< Go straight ahead and take the fourth ramp down, take a left, then up, and then another left. Follow the path a bit and take another left. Go on the moving walkway and go straight after that to get to Undernet 2. Go straight take a right, then another right, then go up the ramp. Go up ignore the first warp and keep going to find another take that one. Then go down the ramp. You are now back in Undernet 1, go straight, go down, and take a right to get into Undernet 2 again. Follow the path to get to Undernet 3. There will be some weird thing that happened, that came from some immense power. Go up and take a right follow the path then you are almost to FlamMan, then the ground splits, what luck. Go down and take the path up to get HPMemory, then head back. Talk to the purple Navi you have to fight him to get through, he sends two Spikey3, and Basher. After beating him go through the path, follow it and take the first left possible. Then take a right follow the path and MegaMan stops he thinks someone is following us, well that weird dude is. Follow the path but save before you enter the rectangle. FlamMan HP: 1000 Element: Fire Prize: Zenny Well this is a very tough battle, unless you have a good folder. He has two candles in the back the yellow one two fireballs move around your area, red one heals FlamMan, and the green one gives him a shield. Well, every time one of the candles are lit try to put it out ASAP. Then attack FlamMan with everything you got, and try to dodge his only attack of his flame. Sounds easy but it isn't. After you defeat him, he will try to kill MegaMan again, but there is that strong power again. It's BASS! He knocks out FlamMan in one quick hit. Now you have to fight him. You can't hurt him so just die. He is about to finish you off then that guy following you stops him. He puts on DarkArua, and Bass attacks him two times. Then Wily comes in saying he has all TetraCodes, and he leaves. MegaMan wakes up, hurry back to the SciLab. >->SciLab<-< Head up to Dad's lab. It turns out he is alright, then he tries to move and falls. He gets rushed to the Hospital, and he will be fine. Head home, and go to bed. Quick scene with Wily, and DrillMan. ============================================================================== 5.7 Part 7. DrillMan (Drill for Alpha) {~W7} ============================================================================== >->Home<-< Yai and Mayl talk at school about going to go see Lan. They go over and Lan lets them in. Then Lan tells them to both go home. The door bell rings again. Head to the door, it's Chaud. They talk about Alpha and Chaud says Lan has to go get the Forbidden Program. >->Beach<-< Head to the Hospital, go to the second floor, and the end of the hall to get to Dad's room. Sean, bad guy from MegaMan Battle Network 2, is there talking to Dad, but he leaves when you enter. Lan tells him about the SciLab. You get an email from the SciLab talking about the Virus Breeder (information about it is in the Virus Breeder section under Viruses). Well, head to the SciLab. >->SciLab<-< Go to the Virus Lab and talk to Chaud. There is a ranking system in the Undernet that you will have to climb up, you have to meet up with S, and he is a ranked Navi. He gives you a Navi Customizer piece that will make you seem like a bad guy to the Undernet Navis. Now you need to go to the Undernet, or you can talk to the people around the Virus Breeder to learn a bit about it. >->The Undernet Ranking<-< Load the BlkMind program Chaud gave you. (To get to where you need to go you have to do Job 16 Help with rehab and get the WWW-id) Once in the Undernet head to Undernet 3. Once you are there head like how you were when you were going to FlamMan, but this time go on one of the three side by side moving walkways. Then go up and right. There is a purple navi there he will let you through only if you have a WWW-id. Well, head through follow the path to the Undernet Square entrance. Go up, take a right, and go down talk to that purple Navi who will tell you to go stand in front of the statue head back to the entrance, but where you took a right last time go straight to find the statue. A bunch of other Navis show up, they are wanting to get ranked, too. You will have to defeat all of these Navis to be able to fight a ranked Navi. There are no rules. Below there is a list of the Navis you will fight and their location: Undernet 3: >->Talk to any of the four at entrance of UnderSquare to fight all four of them at once. >->Canondumb2, Canondumb2, Mettaur Omega >->Momogra, Momogra, Shrimpy Omega >->Swordy, Swordy2, Canodum Omega >->Beetle, Beetle, Swordy Omega >->Undernet 1 path between Under2 and Under3 >->Beetle Omgega, Beetle Omega >->Undernet 2 up the ramp, though warp, then take a left >->Slimey, Slimey, Spikey Omega >->Undernet 2 follow the path go down the ramp, right, then left >->Mettaur2, Mettaur2, Ratty Omega >->Undernet 2 just in front of the entrance >->Mettaur Omega, Metrod Omega >->Undernet 1 follow the path and you will reach the next one >->Metrod Omega, Dominerd Omega >->Undernet 1 down the ramp below the Navi you just defeated >->Bunny Omega, Yort Omega, Canondum Omega Well, that is all of them. The statue talks to you and gives you a hint where to find the #10 Navi it is "where the evil fall". Well, jack out, and I would recommend that you get some better chips, and maybe fight some bosses. Now when you are ready to start climbing up the ranks in the Undernet head to Hades Isle and jack in. Go over the upper little path, go over the moving walkway, and take a right to fight the #10 Navi, he has SnowBlow Omega and Trumpy. After defeating him you get an email from Mayl Roll is in trouble, is it me or does that not sound like Mayl. Hurry over to the Zoo and jack in. Head to ZooComp 2 and you will get ambushed by the four guys you beat to get to the Undernet rankings. >->Canodumb3, Viney, Canodumb3 >->Ratty2, Ratty2, Gloomer >->Shrimpy3, Shrimy3, Elesphere. >->MegaBunny, Geetle, Trumpy Omega After winning that battle you get an email from the Navi who was #10 it says where the #9 Navi is "where science gives life". Jack in head to Beach 1. Take the down moving walkway, then take the right moving walkway. Use HospCode on the security cube and go through the warp. Follow the path and there will be #9, but he just gives you his rank (what a nice guy). You can find #8 "Rednu3", turn it around to get Under3. Head to where you fought FlamMan to fight #8. #8 is BEASTMAN, so be careful. After you beat him you get rank #8 and this guy comes up and tells you where to get #7, "Head of learning". As you leave he attacks you, with Spikey, Spikey2, and Fishy Omega. Jack out and head to the Principal's PC and go to area 2. Go to the bottom left corner of the area to find #7, and he will give you a quest to go find "One of many birds". Jack out and head to the Hospital, and go to Mamoru's old room. Check the thing hanging on the wall to the right to get Origami. Head back to #7 and give it to him. He doesn't remember the clue for the next rank. You get mail from Chaud. It says that an under ranked Navi posted on the ACDC Square BBS. Go there and read it, it says "To meet him come to the bottom of the slope in Undernet 4". Head to Undernet 2, once there take a left go up and take the moving walkway left. Go onto the warp, after the warp take a left, then take the moving walkway going right, go up talk to the Navi, then enter Under 4. Once in Under 4 follow the path then take a left, then a right, then down, and follow the path to the warp. After taking the warp follow the path to another warp. After taking that warp follow the path until you see a ramp. At the ramp save then go down. Three Navis gang up and have a CyberStone and are going to throw it at you, and MegaMan is deleted. Wasn't it a good game... ok. Out of no where GutsMan comes in and breaks the bolder. Then he deletes the Navis. GutsMan jacks out and before you can he comes back, but it isn't actually GutsMan it is... CopyMan. GutsMan HP: 900 HP Element: Normal Just simply dodge his easy to dodge attacks. Then when he uses the ground breaking attacks, that is when you are going to take damage. I would recommend saving you defense chips for then. After beating him he tells you what he knows about "S", then he tells you that #2 is in "Place of battle". Jack out and head to the DNN Station and jack in. Go straight up to fight Bowlman. Bowlman HP: 1000 Element: Normal This is a very difficult battle. Dodging his attacks is very simple once you learn what they do. It may take you a couple times to beat him. Use powerful attacks. Now that you have beat BowlMan head to Yoka Inn. Head to the outdoor bath to find the hidden elevator. Go down and you are in the server room for the Undernet. There is on long, very long scene. Watch it very important. All of a sudden there is an alarm saying that Alpha is being released. DrillMan steals Alpha and goes through the wall. Hurry to SciLab 1 go through the hole DrillMan made and you will appear in Under 5. Follow the path all the way around and go down one of the moving walkways that are all in a row. Take a right, follow the path then down moving platform, and take a left. When you come to the square, take the bottom left path and follow it to make it to DrillMan, be sure to SAVE. DrillMan HP: 600 Element: Normal Prize: Zenny This is a tough battle cause he is always in his Drill Drive mode, and he will be very tough to hit. I don't know any strategies for him. Watch the quick scene here. ============================================================================== 5.8 Part 8: Alpha (Alpha is Awakened!) {~W8} ============================================================================== >->ACDC<-< When you get control of Lan head to school. Talk to Dex to learn school is closed. Go talk to Yai by the Metro Station then head to the park and talk to Mayl. She will give you Roll V3 R. You get an email the SciLab, they want you to meet ProtoMan in SciLab Square to get an OfclPass. >->The Net<-< Head to the SciLab Square and get he OfclPass from ProtoMan. Jack out and go to the SciLab. >->SciLab<-< Once there head up to Dad's Lab, and talk to Chaud. The scientist tells the story of Alpha. There is an emergency saying all AutoTanks have gone berserk. Head to ACDC. >->ACDC<-< Head to the right of the park to find Mayl, Yai, and Dex. Lan jacks in, head to the left to find a virus. You will fight 3 ????, MegaMan jacks out and Chaud and a scientist come up to you. You get a call form Mom saying Dad has left. Head to the Hospital. >->Beach<-< Once you are there go to Dad's room, and talk to Mom. She gives you Aspirin to give to Dad. Check the bed to find DadsNote and CardKey. Head to the SciLab. >->SciLab<-< Head to Dad's Lab once you get there go to the room in the top right corner to find him. Dad tells Lan a bit about the history of Alpha. >->Beach<-< Head to Beach, then go to the boat that took you to Hades. Now you need a engine, so head back to ACDC. >->ACDC<-< Talk to Yai, she will have an engine put in the boat. Go to bed. A quick WWW scene. You get an email from Dad giving you a Navi Customizer Program Alpha. Put it into MegaMan. Head to the boat. There is a quick scene. >->WWW Base<-< Follow the path. When you come to the room try the elevator, it won't work. There is a quick scene where Cossak comes in and opens the elevator. Go up the elevator. Follow the path to the next door. A robot jumps down and blocks the door. Lan will jack in. Head straight up and take a right to get a HPMemory go back and continue following the path. When you come to a split go down then right then get into that little tiny part of a path. Continue to follow the only path you can. Once you reach warp point go through it, then take a right and go in between the floating things. Make your way to the bottom to get ID-DataA. Head back to the door and open it, and save. FlashMan HP: 500 Element: Electric Fight them exactly how you fought him the first time, this time only with better chips. Tora comes in and finishes him off. Continue through the door. Examine where The computer is to get Magnum1 V, then go to the left statue and examine it. Then go to the right statue and Lan will shove it away. Go up the elevator, then you will bump into another one. Lan will jack in. Go left, up, and then around with the floating things. Follow the path and take the first left you can. SAVE. This part is very difficult. You have to run into each of the little paths with perfect timing. You can continue to go on once you get to the warp if you want to get a RegUP2. Go through the warp to fight BubbleMan. BubbleMan HP: 800 Element: Aqua After defeating BubbleMan continue along the path go through the warp. Follow the path and take the path on your right to get ID-DataB. Head back and take the down path to open the door. Follow the path to bump into DesertMan. DesertMan HP: 1200 Element: Normal Once you defeat DesertMan MegaMan will jack out. Continue along the path, a rock will fall and nearly hit Lan. Chaud is encircled in flames, and Lan jacks in. Go up, then right, then up then left, then up and right. Make your way around the floating things then go left. Go in between the two floating things, and follow the path to get the ID-Data C. Go though the door and head down the ramp. Take a left. You will now be at a two round battle with PlantMan and FlamMan. PlantMan HP: 1000 Element: Wood FlamMan HP: 1000 Element: Fire After beating them MegaMan will automatically jack out. Continue though the door, and examine the cables. Follow the path up to the door. Then another robot will jump though the wall. Lan will automatically jack in. Follow the path all the way around, then when you come to a split take a right. Follow the path, until you see a square with floating things going around it. Run to the middle, but don't take the warp. Go to the right instead and get ID-DataD. Go back and go though the warp, and through the door and fight DrillMan. DrillMan HP: 600 Element: Normal After defeating him ProtoMan will come in and finish him off. MegaMan will automatically jack out. SAVE NOW. Go through the doors and watch. Once you get control of MegaMan head up and a little to the left to fight the final battles. Bass HP: 1000 (With 100 Arua) Element: Normal Watch the quick scene... Alpha HP: 2000 (can only hurt when pink is showing) Element: Normal Watch the sad story after you beat Alpha :-( . Great Job you have no beaten the game, or so you think. Actually the easy part is behind you now. ============================================================================== 5.9 Part 9: Getting the other six stars {~W9} ============================================================================== You though you had completely beat the game after you beat Alpha... Well, you couldn't of been more wrong there is quite a bit left to do now that you have finished off Alpha. You will notice you have a star next to continue. You now have six more to get. Here is a list of them: Yellow Star- Beat Alpha Green Star- Beat Bass GS Light Blue Star- Beat Serenade Time Trials Blue Star- Collect all 200 Standard Chips Purple Star- Collect all 85 Mega Chips Red Star- Defeat all Omega Navis Orange Star- Do all 32 P.A.s Sounds easy right. Well it will become a very difficult challenge. At some points, probably during the Serenade time trials, you will want to break your GBA into pieces. I highly recommend to you not to do so, but get though it. Always remember YOU CAN DO IT!!! ============================================================================== Secret Area The Secret Area is where you will probably be spending most of your time from here on out. The Secret Area is located where you found the forbidden program, go there and press "A", and you will go into the Secret Area. Once there you will find there are many different paths taking you all over. However, in this FAQ I will only tell you where you need to go, not all of the optional ways you can go. Requirements: I recommend having these before entering the secret area. Folderback * Hammer located in Undernet 7 300 BugFrags A good folder 140 chips minimum Once in the Secret Area go straight to your right. Follow this path around to a door where you need to have 140 chips to pass though. Save before you open the door. You will encounter DarkMan!!! DarkMan HP: 1400 Element: Changes between every type DarkMan is probably going to be the hardest boss to beat so fat that you have faced, but yet he is easy to beat. As long as you are constantly moving he will miss you with his powerful attacks. Try to use powerful P.A. or chips combos to deal a lot of damage the use a couple other chips to finish him off. Disco Inferno works very well against DarkMan. Prisms are nice, because sometimes he attacks them and hurts himself. After beating DarkMan take the path and go straight. You will come to a warp, but don't take it. Instead use the hammer and beat a 10 round virus fight. After doing that follow the path until you see a warp. Take the warp, and once at the other end go along the left side of the path and you will move across to the other path. Then follow that path to a door. You will need a Giga Chip to go through the door. Now you will fight YamatoMan (Why the heck did they change his name from YamtoMan to JapanMan, the world may never know). YamatoMan (JapanMan) HP: 1600 Element: Normal Now this is a very easy fight. All of his attacks are very easy to dodge until he uses Backup. When he does so try to kill as many of the guys as you can, while getting an attack ready to finish him off. Now, head to Secret 3. Once you there take the little path and go to the BugFrag trader. Put in 300 BugFrags, and there will be this big growl. Once you have all 200 Standard Chips go back and take the big path go up the ramp to fight Serenade. Serenade HP: 2000 Element: Normal VERY IMPROTANT... the only way you can hurt Serenade is when he uses Holy Shock attack. Get your best attack ready and stand and wait until he uses it. Once he does fire away. Once you are done with that jack out (by returning to where you came in). ============================================================================== Green Star- Beating Bass GS If you have done all that is listed above you will now be able to fight Bass GS. Go to the BugFrag Trader and you will meet him there. Bass GS HP: 2000 Aura: 200 Element: Normal First things first THIS IS ONE HARD BATTLE TO WIN. I recommend using North wind chips then a P.A. that does at least 1000 dmg. Then use FolderBack, repeat the process to defeat him. This is a fight that may take many times to win. For beating him you get his chip Bass+ X. ============================================================================== Light Blue Star- Beat Serenade Time Trials This is the part of the game where you might break you GBA. Don't do it. This is very frustrating to beat. However, it is actually very easy with a little luck. You are well rewarded for beating these with Dark Aura, it repels all attacks under 300!!! You have to defeat the following Navi in under the time listed below (for help check out the Time Trails FAQ) GOOD LUCK, your going to need it: Secret Area 1: FlashMan 10 seconds BeastMan 30 seconds BubbleMan 40 seconds DesertMan 45 seconds DrillMan 45 seconds FlameMan 40 seconds PlantMan 40 seconds Secret Area 2: Metalman 20 seconds GutsMan 15 seconds KingMan 40 seconds BowlMan 40 seconds Secret Area 3: DarkMan 40 seconds YamatoMan 45 seconds (Also known as JapanMan) ProtoMan 40 seconds ...Zz...Zz...Zz...Zz... Huh? Oh, wow your done already. Well, what are you doing reading this continue on. Go on to the next section. Please do go on... ============================================================================== Blue Star- Collect all 200 Standard Chips You needed to do so to fight Serenade, so you probably already have this done. If not try using the BugFrag Trader it will probably give you the last couple chips you need. For how to get chips check out the Chip List FAQ. ============================================================================== Purple Star- Collect all 85 Mega Chips This is very easy if you have a lot of BugFrags visit the BugFrag Trader and you will probably get all he chips you need. If not you will need to fight ever boss until you get their chip. You will need Team Style to get the V4 chips if you are going to fight them. As for the other Mega Chips check out the Chip List FAQ for the exact locations. The easiest way is the way I stated above use the BugFrag Trader. ============================================================================== NOW VERY IMPORTANT at the title screen highlight continue and hold left on the D-Pad, and press RRLRLRLL. ============================================================================== Red Star- Defeat all Omega Navis Now you must defeat Omega Navis. These are as powerful as they get. You will have to fight some omega viruses before you will encounter the Omega Navis. Below is a list of locations where the Omega Navis are: FlashMan Principal's PC 2 BeastMan Zoo Computer 3, where you found the DashRun NCP BubbleMan Yoka Net 2, dead end (where you found an HPMemory) DesertMan Top-right corner of the DNN Van PlantMan Dead end in Hospital Computer 3 FlamMan Topleft torch in the area you fought V1 DrillMan Where you fought V1 GutsMan Bottom left part of Dex's homepage MetalMan Dead end in Tamako's homepage KingMan DNN building, in control panel by editing room door BowlMan DNN battle council MistMan DNN battle council DarkMan Secret 1 YamatoMan Secret 2 (Also known as JapanMan) ProtoMan Hades Isle Net Serenade Where you fought him the first time Bass Where HubPatch is After beating all of them go and fight Alpha Omega, where you fought him before! ============================================================================== Orange Star- Do all 32 P.A.s There is a real nice list of the P.A.s in two locations. One is the one called P.A. Guide by Zida, and the better of the two is in the 7 star FAQ, it lists all of the P.A.s and all the diffent combos you can pull them off with. ============================================================================== VI. Styles {~STYL} ============================================================================== The style changes are a big part of MegaMan Battle Network 3. You will get your first style change during the BubbleMan incident. Everything about a style change is good except you get a weakness. The elements are chosen randomly. After you master a style then after 100 battles you will get another. Enemies ============================================================================== In this section you will find a list of the viruses, bosses, and omega bosses in the game. Each boss will have a strategy for beating them, and each omega boss will, too. ============================================================================== 11.1 Bosses {~B} ============================================================================== The bosses are listed in alphabetical order. MistMan is not in this list, because you do not fight him in blue version. Oh, and JapanMan (hate that name), is listed as YamatoMan. Alpha HP: 2000 Element: Normal Location: Inside WWW base, he is the last boss you will fight. Prize: Receive 1 star Make sure that Fast Gauge is set for your default chip. Then use Magnum 2 chips to make the purple part appear on him. Once he is open use RndmMetr. Keep using RndmMetr until Alpha is defeated. The fight will go fairly quick as long as the RndmMetrs don't get killed by his attacks. To be sure that they don't get destroyed by Alpha place the RndmMetr as shown in the diagram below, and move Megaman to one of the places shown: M=Megaman 0=Don't move Megaman Here A=Alpha U=Empty Squares R=Where RndmMetr should go 0 0 0 R U U M M M U A U M M M U U U Move Megaman around freely in the areas labeled with "M" after placing RndmMetr. Once RndmMetr is gone then go and place another RndmMetr one the area labeled "R". Continue dodging his attacks and placing RndmMetr until he is dead. It should only take 3 RndmMetr to kill Alpha. Another strategy to use for fighting Alpha is to use Z-Cannon 1, 2, or 3. They will quickly open him and deal quite a bit of damage. Then once Z-Cannon is over, pull off P.A. MstrStyle to probably finish him off. ============================================================================== Bass V1 HP: 1000 with 100 shield Element: Normal Location: Just before you fight Alpha Prize: Zenny Bass V1 is fairly simple to defeat. All that is needed to defeat his are chips that will do at least 100 damage. The chips that work great are RndmMetr, BlkBomb1, 2, or 3, and StepSwrd. Using those will get rid of the shield allowing damage to be dealt to Bass. Using Grass Stage and BlkBombs really help take Bass down quick. Bass GS HP: 2000 Hp with 200 shield Element: Normal Location: Give Bugfrag trader 300 bugfrags in Secret Area 3 Prize: Bass+ Bass GS is extremely difficult to beat, because of his 200 hp shield. Doing 200 damage in one hit and then turning around and attacking with a powerful attack before his shield comes back can sometimes be very hard. Probably the best way to get rid of his shield is to use NrthWind, then use LifeSword P.A. or HeatSpread P.A. Once he gets back his shield use Folderback to get back LifeSword or HeatSpread. Keep doing that until you defeat him. ============================================================================== Beastman V1 Hp: 500 Element: Normal Location: The second boss you will face in the game and is at end the zoo computer. Prize: Zenny Beastman V2 Hp: 700 Element: Normal Location: The bottom part of SciLab 1 take first turn off of main path. Prize: Beastman B Beastman V3 Hp: 900 Element: Normal Location: In the dog house in front of Lan's house and use sneakrun. Prize: Zenny or Beastman V1, V2, V3, or V4 B Beastman is a very easy boss to deafeat for one reason, and that is he has very low hp. The best way to beat his is to use a P.A. like 2xhero, MstrStyle or DeluxeHero. If you have those chips that are needed to use one of those P.As are the very startof the battle it will be very simple to defeat. ============================================================================== Bowlman V1 Hp: 1000 Element: Normal Location: DNN control counsel Prize: Zenny Bowlman V2 Hp: 1300 Element: Normal Location: DNN control counsel Prize: Bowlman B Bowlman V3 Hp: 1400 Element: Normal Location: DNN control counsel Prize: Zenny or Bowlman V1, V2, V3, or V4 B ============================================================================== Bubbleman V1 Hp: 500 Element: Aqua/Water Location: The third boss you will face in the game and is at the end of Yoka 1. The virus breeder is located in the Virus Lab in the SciLab. You will know when you encounter one when your find it's first, second, and third types of the virus (e.g. Mettaur, Mettaur2, Mettaur3). Once you encounter one of the viruses they will be sent to the SciLab virus breeder where you can feed them BugFrags to make their attack better. After you fight one you can get their chip from the scientist in front of the Virus Breeder. Below is a list of all of the viruses and where to get them in alphabetical order. --------------------Bunny----------------------------------------------------- Take job #19 Please adopt a virus! A Navi will give you these viruses for 50 BugFrags. To find the Navi take the job then head to SciLab 2, and go to the square entrance. From there take a right, go down, and take a left. Talk to the Navi to get them. --------------------Jelly----------------------------------------------------- Go though the bottom path of Beach 2 to reach Beach 1. Blue and White Differences {~WB} ============================================================================== One of the most questions that is always getting asked is what is the difference between Blue and White and what is better? This section of this FAQ will answer the question about the differences, and the information will help you decide what game you think is better. I will not say what I think are the better chips, I will let it be up to you to decide what ones are better. --------------------Difference 1: Giga Chips---------------------------------- The biggest difference between the two games is the differnce in chips. Here is a list of the chips that are exclusive to each version. The chips that are across from each other are what trade places with each other. Blue White Obtained From =================== =================== =============================== | Folder Back |<-->| Navi Recycle | Merchant in Undernet 4 | | Dark Aura |<-->| Serenade | Complete Serenade Time-Trials| | Alpha Arm Omega |<-->| Alpha Arm Sigma | Get all 7 Stars | | Delta Ray Edge |<-->| Balance | Netbattle Friend | | Bass + |<-->| Bass | Defeat Bass GS | =================== =================== =============================== Now, I will describe what each chip does and how it can help you and hurt you compared to the other version. Folder Back vs. Navi Recycle Folder Back Pros: When you use Folder Back all of your chips that you have used will be put back into your folder to be used again. Your preset chip will also be reset so you will be able to re-use that as well. The best thing about Folder Back is that it resets itself, so that you will have unlimited uses of it resulting in unlimited chips! Cons: The only bad thing about this chip is that in NetBattling a friend it will reset their chips as well. Navi Recycle Pros: When you use Navi Recycle the last Navi chip used is recycled, and if you used any other chips with that Navi Recycle then they are recycled as well. This chips works on some P.A.s (e.g. BigHeart, BodyGrd, and GutsShoot). It also recycles two of the best giga chips, Serenade and Bass. Probably one of the best things about this game is that you can preset it. Cons: The only problem about this chip is that without Navi Chips it doesn't work. Dark Aura vs. Serenade Dark Aura Pros: When you use Dark Aura you will recieve an Aura that gives will block anything under 300 damage (600 if you are on a holy panel). Also it can be preset (you will have to put the +5 reg mem in your Navi Customizer, though. Cons: To be able to use this chip you will have to use the chip called hole before you use Dark Aura. A NrthWind will take Dark Aura away. Serenade Pros: If you use this chip correctly it is possible to have it deal over 3000 damage. That makes it the most powerful chip in the both versions. However, to make it so powerful you will have to use Navi+ and Atk+ chips. Then to get make it really accurate you have to use area grabs to lock the attack on your enemy. Cons: To get it to do a lot of damage you will need to do some work, and you will probably have to go through a bunch of chips in your folder to get the ones you need to get the most out of this chip. If your enemy has used a lot of area grabs against you the attack will become very weak. Alpha Arm Omega vs. Alpha Arm Sigma Alpha Arm Omega Pros: This attack is a rocket from Alpha that does 500 damage in one single attack... that sadly enough is about it. Cons: When you use this attack Alpha will come down into the middle of your area, and if anything is anything on that square then the attack won't work. This attack only attacks the back two rows of the stage causing the front row to be open. If the rocket that Alpha launches hits an object then it will explode. Yet another problem with this chip is it comes in the chip code "V", which is very rare. Alpha Arm Sigma Pros: This attack is the most powerful single attack in the game. When you use this attack Alpha will drop down into the middle of the battle field and use his lightning attack dealing 400 to the top and bottom of the battle field and then 800 to the middle. Cons: When you use this attack Alpha will come down into the middle of your area, and if anything is anything on that square then the attack won't work. If there is an objec in the way the attack won't go through it. Yet another problem with this chip is it comes in the chip code "V", which is very rare. Delta Ray Edge vs. Balance Delta Ray Edge Pros: This attack is capable of doing 660 damage, and the attack is very accurate. Cons: This attack is very hard to make it keep going. It take a lot of time and work to master it. Balance Pros: This attack removes a half of everybody's HP. This helps to defeat enemies with high HP. Works great with Muramasa and LifeSwrd Y. Cons: The only problem with this attack is that it will hurt you as well as your enemy. Bass + vs. Bass Bass + Pros: This attack does 550 damage and the nice thing about the attack is that it the attack pierces enemy shields. Cons: To be able to use this chip you need to use Hole chip. It also only hits one row of enemies so that it is a bad attack if you have to defeat multiple enemies. Also Bass + comes in the rare code "X", which makes it hard to fit into a folder. Bass Pros: When you use this attack Bass will come down and use his buster attack. He will shoot randomly around the stage. This works great with prisms, because it hits those prisms and shoots your enemies multiple times. Cons: To be able to use this chip you need to use the Hole Chip. This attack is easily blocked with any object. Also Bass comes in the rare code "X". which makes it hard to fit into a folder. --------------------Difference 2: Mega Chips---------------------------------- The only diffence in Mega Chips are the two different bosses' chips. In white you get to fight MistMan to get MistMan chips, and in blue you fight BowlMan to get BowlMan chips. However, you will have to trade these with a friend to get them between the two versions because you need them to complete your library. --------------------Difference 3: Bosses-------------------------------------- There are a couple differences in bosses. In blue you will fight BowlMan instead of MistMan. Also in blue you get to fight Mr. Famous' new Navi named Punk. However, sad enough you can't get Punk's chip it is only available though a Capcom Event. --------------------Difference 4: Styles-------------------------------------- There is only one difference between the styles in the two versions. In blue version you will get Shadow Style which allows you to turn invisible when you charge your buster. In white version you get Ground Style which allows you to crack ground when you charge your buster. --------------------Difference 5: Navi Customizer Blocks---------------------- The only difference in the Navi Customizer Blocks are the blocks that are gained from leveling up shadow style and ground style. As you level up these different styles you will gain differnt blocks exclusive to white and blue. --------------------Difference 6: Shops--------------------------------------- Another difference between the two games are the shops. The shops sell items that in the other version you would have to search for. I don't know the exact differences, because I didn't write them down. --------------------Difference 7: Random Things------------------------------- Some other things are that are different is the box art, start-up screen, some of the graphics are different, and the Blue Mystery Data and Green Mystery Data are a little different. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The End Yes, :( it is the End.
