Fire Emblem Ending Guide by ReyVGM www.VGMuseum.com Facebook.com/vgmuseum1 Twitter.com/vgmuseum1 _/_/_/_/ Introduction _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ There doesn't seem to be one single place that explains the conditions to get each ending variation. This short guide will help with that. The game has three stories: Lyn's Story, Eliwood, and Hector. Lyn's story is actually a tutorial prologue, but the game treats it as its own story with its own 'ending'. Here's how the endings play out, and how to obtain each one. _/_/_/_/ Lyn's Story _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ Lyn's ending is pretty straight forward. The only ending variations occur if any of your characters die. But they are really just wounded since they appear in the ending conversations and epilogues. First scene: This scene will always play and cannot be changed. After defeating Lundgren, a scene with Lyn and Reissman will play. Then Lyn will have a long conversation with her grandfather. Second scene: This scene will always play and cannot be changed. Lyn will be outside the castle, where Sain, Kent, Florina, and Wil will show up and converse with her. Third scene: This scene will always play and cannot be changed. Lyn notices the Tactician is leaving and she thanks for everything he has done. Fourth scene: This scene has two variations per character. If a character died in battle, you'll get a negative epilogue for that character. If a character survived, then you'll get a positive epilogue. Lyn and the Tactician only have one epilogue. After that, the game will move to Eliwood or Hector's story. First scene: This scene will always play and cannot be changed. After defeating the dragon, Hector, Lyn and Nils call out to Eliwood. Athos congratulates Eliwood, and then dies. Second scene: This scene has four variations. Ninian appears in the scene and says that "at the end, a saving light shall rise". -If Eliwood did not have "A Rank" support with Ninian, then Eliwood will be glad to see Ninian and she will apologize for being the cause of all the problems. -If Eliwood has "A Rank" support with Ninian, Eliwood will be happy and say he thought he had lost her forever and that he needs her by his side forever. Ninian will say she has to go home because she's the cause for all the problems. The scene then continues with the same dialogue regardless of the previous variations. She says it was her weakness that invited the tragedy. Nils shows up while Ninian keeps explaining that they opened the Dragon Gate due to Nergal. At the end she says she and Nils have to return to their world and close the gate to prevent other dragons from coming through. Here the other two variations occur: -If Eliwood did not have "A Rank" support with Ninian, then Nils and Ninian will step into the gate and disappear. -If Eliwood has "A Rank" support with Ninian, then Nils will leave and Ninian will stay with Eliwood. Third scene: This scene has two variations. -If Eliwood did not have "A Rank" support with Ninian, it will show Hector, Lyn and Eliwood outside and Hector will be glad to see daylight and they all go home to Lycia. -If Eliwood had "A Rank" support with Ninian, the same scene will play, but Ninian will be there and Eliwood asks her to come with him. Fourth scene: This scene has four variations. The next scene shows the different CG screens you get if: -If Eliwood did not have "A Rank" support with Ninian, Lyn, or Fiora. -If Eliwood had "A Rank" support with Ninian. -If Eliwood had "A Rank" support with Lyn. -If Eliwood had "A Rank" support with Fiora. Fifth scene: This scene has six variations. If you created a Tactician when starting the game, or if you played without one. In addition, you will get additional scenes if you had "A Rank" support with some characters. -If you created a Tactician when starting a New Game, then Eliwood will thank the tactician for his help. An additional scene will play if: -If Eliwood had "A Rank" support with Ninian. -If Eliwood had "A Rank" support with Lyn. -If Eliwood had "A Rank" support with Fiora. -If you did NOT create a Tactician when starting a New Game, then Eliwood will be surprised that Hector showed up for his succession. An additional scene will play if: -If Eliwood had "A Rank" support with Ninian. -If Eliwood had "A Rank" support with Lyn. -If Eliwood had "A Rank" support with Fiora. Sixth scene: This scene has two variations. -If you created a Tactician when starting a New Game, it shows Eliwood outside on a field will saying goodbye to the Tactician and claim that he will see him again. -If you did NOT create a Tactician when starting a New Game, then Eliwood will be outside with Hector, when Marcus comes to tell Eliwood they have to go. Seventh scene: The credits and mission results. The credits will always be the same, but the mission results will vary depending on which missions you played. Eight scene: This scene has a ton of variations and it shows the epilogues for each character. -If a character was not paired up with another support character, then his single epilogue will play explaining what became of that character. -If a character was paired with another support character, then a paired epilogue will play explaining what happened to both characters together. -Pent and Louise will always have a paired epilogue. Same with Nils and Ninian, unless you had "A Rank" support with Ninian. In that case, then it will show Nils in a solo epilogue. -If you didn't recruit a character, then his epilogue will not appear. If a character died, then it will say the mission that character died in. Some character's can't "die" ending-wise, such as Nils, Ninian, Athos, Merlinus, Lyn, Hector, and Eliwood. -The Tactician has 3 different epilogues depending on his rank. Rank S or A gets you "Superb Mind", Rank B or C gets you "Famed Genious", and Rank D gets you "Suspect Mind". Ninth scene: This scene will always play and cannot be changed. It will show a scene at Castle Ostia with an older Hector and Eliwood, and they introduce their children Roy, and Lilina. *This scene was removed from the European version. Tenth scene: This scene will always play and cannot be changed. It shows Zephiel at Bern Keep. An enigmatic man asks him why he awoke the dragon. Zephiel smiles and you get a black 'the end' screen. Ending screenshots: http://www.vgmuseum.com/end/gba/a/fembleme.htm _/_/_/_/ Hector's Story _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ Hector's ending contains a ton of variations (just like Eliwood's) depending on what you do in the game and whom you have "A Rank" support conversations with. First scene: This scene will always play and cannot be changed. After defeating the dragon, Hector asks Eliwood if he's okay. Athos congratulates Hector, and then dies. Second scene: This scene has four variations and it plays the same as Eliwood's ending, except there is a new addition. However, there is a small addition only available in Hector's Story. If you completed 'Chapter 19x Part 2 A Glimpse in Time', then when Ninian says: "Not a day passed that I did not think of it...", she will follow with the line "Memories of my mother and my father, of my home...". Normally the next line would be "I yearned to see it once again... Our homeland." After that, the scene continues as usual with Nils showing up while Ninian keeps explaining that they opened the Dragon Gate due to Nergal. Fourth scene: This scene has four variations. The next scene shows the different CG screens you get if: -If Hector did not have "A Rank" support with Lyn, Florina, or Farina. -If Hector had "A Rank" support with Lyn. -If Hector had "A Rank" support with Florina. -If Hector had "A Rank" support with Farina. Rank S or A gets you "Superb Mind", Rank B or C gets you "Famed Genius", and Rank D gets you "Suspect Mind". -Hector's Story has two exclusive characters (Farina, and Karla), which means that Hector's Story has two new single epilogues and four new paired epilogues. Ninth scene: This scene will always play and cannot be changed. It will show a scene at Castle Ostia with an older Hector and Eliwood, and they introduce their children Roy, and Lilina. *This scene was removed from the European version.
