Buttons and Basics ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ========== 2.1 Buttons =========== A= Accelerate B= Brake/Reverse L= Horn R= Handbrake L+R= Rear View Start= Pause Select= Help Control Pad= Steer/Move Up+R= Get into or out of a car* *Car must be stationary to do either. ==========-------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.2 Basics ==========-------------------------------------------------------------------- Driving ------- When driving, you don't go very fast. I personally do not use the handbrake, it is not much use to me. When driving too fast by a cop, the cop will chase you and your felony will go up. To get away from a cop, swrive through cars and make sharp turns(where handbrake is most useful). Ramming a Car ------------- To me, this is not that simple. It is not very helpful to hit the car from behind, but from the side is good. When you run into other things beside the car you have to destroy, you damage will go up. That is not good, because you need to make the opponents to go up first. Also, when the opponent runs into other stuff, it does not get hurt at all(that stinks). So the easiest way to win is to avoid hitting anything but the side of the opponents car. Following a Car --------------- In these kind of stealthy missions, you need to stay within the distance the bar tells you to. If you get to close or to far, you lose the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3. Undercover Walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This Undercover walkthrough will tell you how to beat every mission and the stratigies if there are any. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: 01-Survalince Tip-Off Time: 4:00 Location: Chicago This is the first mission so of course it is gonna be easy. Get in the car, and then exit right. Go straight until you cannot go straight an further. Make a left there. Right at next turn, then left after that. Follow road til a you can't go straight no more. Make a right and then get into the car. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: 02-Chase the Witness Time: None Location: Chicago Follow the witness. When you see the park, just stay on the road and make a right once you get there. Hey...now your ahead of him. You can slow down or follow my directions. Make a left at the first street, then follow the road til you can make a right. Then make a left. This part is tricky, there is a alley right where the V is in LAKEVIEW. Make a right there and keep on going straight til the second street, make a right, then a left, then a right and then just follow the road til the end(WHEW). --OR-- Ram him. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: 03-Stop the Witness Time: 2:30 Location: Chicago In this mission, the witness ditched his car and took another. Now, you have to ram him. My only tips are to hit him at his side and don't hit anything else. ***If it is possible to hit him in the water at the begining, please e-mail me. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: 04-Tailing the Drop Time: None Location: Chicago In this mission, you have to tail the Brazilians that are delivering a shipment. Be sure to not get too close or too far. This mission is very time-consuming and boring, but easy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: 05-Escape to the Safe House Time: 3:20 Location: Chicago In this mission, the Brazilians you tailed have left something behind, a crate of fake passports. When the cops come, they take intrest in what Tanner and Jones are doing. So you have to run off to your safehouse in Chinatown! First, make a right. From here on out, it should be fairly easy. Keep on going south to very end, then then make a left(no where else to go). Then make another left and the hideout should be on the right. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: 06-Chase the Intruder Time: None Location: Chicago In this mission, someone has been in your hideout and left at the fire escape. Don't let him get away. Go straight to the white car, get in, go straight and into the alleyway, then make a right. Thats the hardest part. Now you just follow him, should be easy.Was for me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: 07- Chauffer the Wise Guys Time: 6:00 Location: Chicago In this mission, you need to pick some wise guys and go to a club. Watch out for cops. They can be a pain. Also watch out for damage, it got me the first time I attempted this mission. When you get to the white apartments, pick them up in the parking lot. Then take them to the club down the street. ***You must first lose all cops that are on you before picking up the guys. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission: 08- Return to sender Time: 4:50 Location: Chicago In this mission, Vasquez delivered a car bomb to Caine. Get in the car and go to your left. Follow the road until you can make a right. Make another right and then go into the parking lot. Get in the car. Now you will need to drive back to Vasquezes hotel and blow it up. Make a left, cut through the park, and make a right. Go down the road and make a right at his hotel. Then get out of there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission: 09- Stop the Van Time: 5:50 Location: Chicago In this mission, you have to stop a van that is filled with TNT and gun ammo. First of all, watch out for the undercover cops in the regular cars. They really got in my way, so look out for them on the map. All you do is ram the van until it tells you to get in, and then take it to the drop off spot without blowing it up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission: 10- Take out the Escort Time: 5:00 Location: Chicago In this mission, Jones finds another shipment of TNT and gun ammo in another van. Again, watch out for the cops, and ram the van til it tells you to get in. Then, drive it to the same spot as the last mission, and that is all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission: 11- Damage Control Time: 4:15 Location: Chicago In this mission, Vasquezes men blew up Caine's restaruent. You need to pick up some people at the restaurant. To go there, I found out that making a u-turn and then making a right, then left was fastest. But that dosen't matter, because after you pick up the boys, the time goes back to 4:15. After picking up the boys, you should know that you cannot switch cars so keep the damage level low, so then make a left, right, right, left, then follow the road until you can make a left on Goose Island. Then make a right, and you drop the boys off there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission: 12- Find the Clue Time: 10:00 Location: Chicago This mission is very hard, and long. You have to search 3 different cars for clues that Vasquez might have left. You can switch cars, if damage gets too high. For every car, you have to ram them. Once you get pretty close to the car, they will start speeding away, and make it a chase. I suggest getting a different car every time you ram one.
