/----------------------------------\ | Wario Ware Inc. Mega Party Game$ | \----------------------------------/ The purpose of this FAQ is to cover all of the new 2-4 player minigames in this game. There are a total of 15 of these games. These new games only appear in two multiplayer modes. The appear at the end of 9-Volt's Card-E Cards game when players are battling for the remaining cards, and they will appear every round in Kat and Ana's Wobbly Bobbly. Also, they will appear if there is a tie at the end of Dribble and Spitz's Milky Way Delerium. Sadly, there is no way to select and play these games individually. Note: These games don't have official titles, so the names listed here are names I made up that identify the game. ============== Update history ============== 4/12 - Added how you win the slingshot the bucket game, and that there will be dust and smoke if there is a close tie on the stop the alarm clock and navigate the maze games. Also added that there will be a multiplayer minigame if there is a tie at the end of Dribble and Spitz's game. ---------------- 1. Tease The Cat ---------------- Explanation: The point of this game is to tease the cat so that he responds to you. Make your fuzzy thing move more than the other players. Controls: Control Stick side to side - Swing Control Stick towards Cat - Prod Comments: I really don't think it matters if you prod or swing, but I'm still not sure about that. ---------------------------------- 2. Don't Get Sucked Up by Her Nose ---------------------------------- Explanation: Remember the girl in the game where you have to press A to suck the snot up into her nose? Shes back! This time, however, each player is controlling a little person, and you have to avoid the snot coming from her nose. She will come on from either side of the screen, move around for awhile, and lower her snot. If you are under it, you lose! Each time she misses someone with her snot, the ground where she lowered it will disappear. Controls: Control Stick - Move Comments: The girl moves tends to move around a lot to fake you out before lowering her snot. Sometimes she will also fake you out by blowing a bubble instead of lowering her snot, in which case no one may get caught. Another note is that you cannot move past other people, so you can effectively trap someone on a ledge so they can't move. ------------------------- 3. Pick the Rotating Nose ------------------------- Explanation: This game is a take off on the nose-picking microgame. But this time, instead of your finger moving, the nose is rotating around the center. Each player controls a pair of fingers in their corner of the screen. The point is to press A at the proper time so your fingers will stick into both nostrils of the nose. The nose will move slower and slower as time goes on in the game. Controls: A - Stick fingers at/into nose Comments: You have to time when you press a, as your fingers need time to move towards the nose. Press a when the nose is about 45 degress away from facing you when the nose is moving fast, and press it when it is closer when the nose is moving more slowly. ------------ 4. Jump Rope ------------ Explanation: This game is very similar to One-Control Jumping, except everyone has their own controller, and the time between jumps is reduced. Each player will step up to the jump rope, and must make one jump, than move to the back of the line. A player will come up to the jump rope every two jumps. Controls: A - Jump Comments: The jump rope will speed up very quickly, so be prepared. Usually it is good to jump when the jump rope is at about eye level of your character. ------------------- 5. Choose a Chicken ------------------- Explanation: The point of this game is to choose the chicken that will lay the golden egg. The eggs are layed only after all players have chosen their chicken. The chicken that lays the golden egg is random, however, so this game is based entirely on chance. Controls: Control Stick - Move your hand (move it over a chicken to catch it) Comments: Some people say that the smaller chickens are most likely to hatch the golden egg. However, I believe that it is entirely random. -------------------- 6. Find the Nest Egg -------------------- Explanation: There is an envelope full of money hidden somewhere in this room. Anything that flashes when you move your hand over it is a possible hiding spot. Find the envelope before anyone else. Controls: Control Stick - Move your hand A - Search an flashing object Comments: As far as I can tell, this game is also almost based entirely on chance, as the nest egg is hidden randomly. Be sure to search everywhere, since there are some places which you wouldn't think would be hiding spots (the picture, the table). ---------------- 6. Get the Money ---------------- Explanation: A dollar bill will gradually float down towards the ground. Grab it before all of the other players do! You can jump on the other players to reach higher. Controls: Control Stick - Move A - Jump Comments: Man is this one fun! My recommendation is try to stay on top of the other players, because once someone is on top of you it can be difficult to get them off on time. ------------------ 7. Grab the Trophy ------------------ Explanation: There is a trophy in the center. Drag yourself along the ground to reach it before the other players. Controls: A - Reach, Hold to pull Comments: This one is very annoying. Avoid button mashing at all costs, as it will get you no where. The most important thing is that once your character has reached its arms out, HOLD, DON'T TAP A to make them pull the selves towards the trophy. My strategy is to time my pressing of the A button with the music. ---------------- 8. Find the Idol ---------------- Explanation: Move your hand under the sacks and choose the one where you think the idol (who happens to be a dancing japanese girl) to be. This game is turn based, and the order is determined in the beginning. Controls: Control Stick - Move your hand A - Choose a sack Comments: Another random game. I don't really have any strategy for this. Just remember that you can only choose a sack when its your turn. ----------------------- 9. Stop the Alarm Clock ----------------------- Explanation: Stop the alarm clock immediately after it goes off. You must stop it before the other players do to win. Controls: A - Stop Alarm Comments: Note that sometimes the clock will try and fake you out by making a quieter ringing sound and than immediately stopping. If you try and stop it than, your hand will hit the clock and then slowly draw back. You cannot try and stop the alarm clock again until your hand has returned to its original position, so try not to do this. You know if the alarm is really going off when the clock opens its eyes. One more thing to note is that if you stop it within VERY CLOSE TIMING of when someone else stops it, there will be dust and smoke before the winner is revealed. ------------------------ 10. Slingshot the Bucket ------------------------ Explanation: The point is to hit the bucket with enough stones to knock it over. The longer you hold A until you let it go, the farther the rock will go. The point is to hit the bucket once so that it becomes your color, and than quickly hit it again WHILE IT IS STILL YOUR COLOR. Controls: A - Hold: Draw back slingshot, Release: Fire slingshot Comments: Finally, thanks to the message boards, I have found out how this game determines who wins. Thanks everyone! --------------------- 11. Stop at 5 Seconds --------------------- Explanation: You are all holding stopwatches, and the point is to stop them as close to 5 seconds as possible. You can stop the clock under OR over five seconds, as long as you stop it closer than the other players. Controls: A - Stop stopwatch Comments: This game seems dull, but it can actually be pretty fun. Note that when you stop it the game hides your stopwatch until all players have stopped their stopwatches, and then reveals them simultaneously for dramatic effect. --------------------- 12. Throw the Shotput --------------------- Explanation: Each character's arm is rotating, and the point is to stop your arm when it is pointing straight upwards so that the shotput will go as far as possible. Controls: A - Stop rotating arm Comments: It is possible to throw it backwards in this game if you really mess up. This happens when you stop the arm when it is heading backwards. ------------------- 13. Don't Catch Me! ------------------- Explanation: There's a giant pink dancing monster wandering around. Dont let him catch you. The area which you have to move is gradually closing in on all sides, making it slowly get smaller and smaller. Controls: Control Stick - Move Comments: This one is AWESOME. The monster's movements are random, he doesn't chase people. ----------------- 14. Catch the Fly ----------------- Explanation: Catch the fly with your pair of chopsticks. Controls: A - Catch Comments: This one is very hard if you actually try and time it--I find button mashing the best technique. Yes, it does scare the fly away a little, since he likes flying near the chopsticks that don't move. But I still think button mashing works best here. --------------------- 15. Navigate the Maze --------------------- Explanation: Get your ballerina to the man in the center before other players do. You can only see what is in your immediate vicinity, which makes navigating the maze a little more challenging. Controls: Control Stick - Move Comments: Nothing really more to say. You can go through the other ballerinas if you want. Similar to the stop the alarm clock game, if you arrive at the man very close to when someone else arrives, there will be dust and smoke before the winner is revealed. Thanks to the people on the message boards for their help, especially gameguru8 for figuring out how you win the slingshot game. My Email: met5678@hotmail.com
