Please note that bosses can differ between characters, including number of hits. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- II - The Bosses ---------------------------------------------------------------------- A - Chaos 0 Difficulty: E Rank Number of Hits: 3 Characters: Sonic; Tails(Cutscene); Knuckles(Cutscene) Chaos 0 acts as not only Sonic's first boss, but the first boss of the game overall. To defeat him, simply wait for him to rise out of his liquid state and homing attack his brain. After the second hit, he will jump on the poles. Simply jump to avoid them, and strike his brain one last time when he lands. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- B - Egg Hornet Difficulty: E Rank Number of Hits: 3 Characters: Sonic; Tails Egg Hornet acts as the first boss for Tails, but the second boss for Sonic. As such, he's once again not hard, and may even be easier than Chaos 0. All you need do is avoid the missiles he shoots, wait for him to crash into the ground(Avoid this as it's an attack), and jump on his cockpit. Do note that for every hit, Eggman will add on another barrage of missiles. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- C - Chaos 2 Difficulty: D Rank Number of Hits: 4 Characters: Knuckles; Sonic(Cutscene); Tails(Cutscene) Knuckles' first boss is probaly the toughest of all the first bosses. Unlike Chaos 0, Chaos 2 is much more defensive. He will start by forming into a ball and bouncing across the room. Glide into him to possibly end his assault sooner. When in normal form, he will block Knuckles' punches. Wait for him to attack with his arm, then he can be punched. On his final hit, he may try to cover the floor in his liquid form. Simply glide above the arena until he stops. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- D - Chaos 4 Difficulty: D Rank Number of Hits: 4(Tails); 5(Sonic & Knuckles) Characters: Sonic; Tails; Knuckles Chaos 4 is the first truly lengthy boss, with most battles with this form lasting over 2 minutes. The overall strategy is to keep moving, as despite the water being somewhat solid, standing in it for too long can drown you. Stand on the lilypads, though Chaos 4 will sink them if given enough time. When he pokes his head out of the water, that is when you strike. The more hits Chaos 4 takes, the more attacks he will pull off, ranging from an energy wave attack, an arm attack similar to Chaos 2, and splitting himself into 4 orbs that launch at you. Sonic can easily strike him with the homing attack, while Tails and Knuckles will have an easier time staying in the air with their flight abilities. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- E - E-100 Series Robots Difficulty: D Rank Number of Hits: Varies Characters: E-102 Gamma During the course of E-102 Gamma's story, he must set out to destroy his brethren, freeing the animals within them. For each robot, simply spam your laser blaster at them. Doing this, they rarely have an opportunity to strike back, except for E-105 Zeta who does not flinch. E-101 Beta is 3 hits, E-105 Zeta is 4 hits, while E-103 Delta and E-104 Epsilon are 5 hits. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- F - Chaos 6 Difficulty: C Rank Number of Hits: 4 Characters: Big; Sonic; Knuckles Chaos 6 is too powerful to attack directly. Instead, you must grab the ice eggs that are dropped onto the arena and toss them at Chaos 6, freezing him. While frozen, he can be attacked in any way, so feel free to be creative, as he's only 4 hits. The difficulty is high if you can't get to an ice egg in time, as Chaos 6 has some elaborate attacks, such a move where he turns into a plant that ejects tendrils all over the arena, ending in a tail swipe that targets a good third of the arena, and a quick tail attack that has little to no warning. With Big The Cat, simply cast your reel at the target reticule to rescue Froggy. The battle is then finished by Sonic in his story. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- G - E-101 Beta Mk II Difficulty: C Rank Number of Hits: 4 Characters: E-102 Gamma E-101 Beta Mk II actually deviates from the norm in terms of bosses in E-102 Gamma's story. To deal damage, you must wait until Beta charges at you. Dodge to the side using your Jet Booster, and shoot its back. After a hit or two, Beta will start lobbing energy blasts at you from the sky. Run around the arena dodging the blasts, and Beta will drop down to charge at Gamma again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- H - Zero Difficulty: C Rank Number of Hits: 3 Characters: Amy; Sonic(Cutscene) Zero chases Amy throughout her levels. Here though, hammer at Zero until he's forced into the electrical barrier, where he will be stunned and reveal the weakspot on his head. The reason for the high difficulty rating is that Amy is slow, and Zero moves quick with his attacks. His attacks include a shockwave attack, and a move where he rotates his electrified arms around the arena. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I - Egg Walker Difficulty: C Rank Number of Hits: 5 Characters: Tails Eggman's second strongest mecha in Sonic Adventure, though it pales in comparison to Egg Viper. To defeat it, simply go under the cockpit and wait for the Egg Walker to finish its stomps. Hit all of the flashing buttons with your tail attack before Eggman can recover. Rinse, lather, repeat. Watch for bombs however, as the Egg Walker launches them periodically. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- J - Egg Viper Difficulty: B Rank Number of Hits: 7 Characters: Sonic The strongest weapon in Eggman's arsenal, and Sonic must defeat it head on. Starting off, the Egg Viper will move around the arena, lobbing lasers at high speed. Keep Sonic running at high speed to avoid the lasers, but a periodic jump here and there won't hurt. After the first hit, Sonic will have to homing attack the sections on the Egg Viper's tail to get to the cockpit for more hits. After a few more hits, the Egg Viper will gain more attacks, including a move where it will toss spiky wheels at Sonic. You can land on one of them, ride it to the Egg Viper and homing attack the cockpit. After delivering the final hit, make sure to watch out as Eggman will attempt one last attack, which will destroy the section of flooring that Sonic was standing on. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- K - The Final Boss Difficulty: A Rank Number of Hits: 6(Technically 10, but attacks deal twice as much damage) Characters: Sonic To defeat the Final Boss, keep Sonic moving fast and collecting rings, as they will diminish over the the course of the battle. When Sonic reaches the Final Boss, make sure you're moving at full speed to deliver a hit. While the Final Boss' health bar advertises 5 hits, Sonic deals twice as much damage due to the method at which he hits the Final Boss. After 3 hits, the next phase begins. It's more or less like the first, except the Final Boss will attack more frequently and aggressive, making your rings deplete even faster. Another 3 hits and he's done. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- III - Credits ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ChronoCactaur - author of the FAQ SEGA - for creation of Sonic Adventure YouTube - for reference videos CJayC - creator of GameFAQs ----------------------------------------------------------------------
