Introduction [MMIV 1] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Welcome to Warhawk's guide for Mega Man IV for the Game Boy. As I continue on the motivation until all I write for five Mega Man games that were released on the Nintendo Game Boy. As I reach the the second to last game in the Classic series on the Game Boy as I hope that anyone that reads these will be able to find them useful. Even if it's someone that may be new to playing these games as I never played Mega Man III - Mega Man V until they came in Nintendo's eShop for the 3DS. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 2. Walkthrough [MMIV 3] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter One: Toad Man [MMIV 3.1] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Escaroo Gyotot Puyoyon Rackaser Ratton Swallown Before we have a chance to start the first stage of the game we'll be treated to a cutscene as we'll discover that we'll be able to collect something known as P-Chips. These P-Chips will be used to purchase items. Once we're able choose which Robot Master we'll be tackling Toad Man first. As we make our way through and after a couple drops until we eventually come to our first enemy in the stage. We'll come across a Puyoyon as we'll want to dispose of it and cotinue forward. After we do we'll have a Ratton to deal with as we have to dipose of that as well as the rest of the way we'll have Puyoyon along with Ratton until we come to a ladder to head down. There'll be a set of spikes on the floor so we'll have to go to the left as there'll be a Puyoyon here to deal with before heading through the hole to the next section. You can grab the big P-Chip before heading down to the next section. As we do we'll eventually have weather going against us as jumping we'll have to time it right to make it across. WHen we do we'll have Rackaser along with Swallown to deal with when we get in areas like this. The first area like this isn't going to be too difficult to get across. Afte rwe do we'll have to deal with a sub-boss, Escaroo. To deal damage we have to wait until its eyes open then fire a shot there. Watch out for when throws a bomb towards you as we want to be away when it lands. Shooting when it opens it eyes and dodging the bomb is all there is to this until it's defetaed. Once it's down it's time to head to the next section. We'll be in an area where the weather is against us again as we'll have a Rackaser come down after we slide. We'll see a B on a platform as we can dispose of the Rackaser then slide and make your way up to where itw as to head over to grab the B. There'll be other letters that we have to find like this in other stages and after we grab it start heading back in the direction we were heading. Watch out for other Rackaser along with Swollown as well as where the water will be draining to as that'll signal a pit area. As we get through that as we'll have a Puyoyon to deal with before we head up the ladder. Making our way up the ladder as we'll have a Ratton as we'll want to wait for it to go to the right then back over to the left before we head up to dispose of it. Continue upward as we'll have another Ratton to deal with as it'll be nearly the same for this one as we'll wait for it to go to the left then all the way up. Dispose of it then slide under to continue onward. As we do we'll have some water as there'll be Gyotot and there'll also be a Puyoyon in the area. Watch out for the spikes that we have to get over before reaching the end and down a hole. As we get in the next area be towards the left as we'll land on a platform instead of spikes. We'll have a Puyoyon to deal with as we have a big P-Chip that we can grab before going down another hole. Heading down and if we hug the right we can grab an extra life if you're able to and when we head all the way down we'll have another sub-boss Escaroo to deal with. Same strategy as the last one as it shouldn't be too hard to get past it. Once we deal with it we'll have the platform below us destroyed as we fall down. We can grab a health capsule as we can get ready to head through the boss gate to fight Toad Man. o---------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |---------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Toad Man | HP: | 19 | DWN: 26 | | Weakness: | Ring Boomerang / Napalm Bomb | | Weapon Get: | Rain Flush | | Item Get: | Rush Coil | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Rain Flush | o---------------------------------------------o Quite similiar to how he fights in Mega Man 4 (NES) counterpart but only one difference, he jumps faster. Other than making contact with you his only other move his Rain Flush. Going against Toad Man be rather simple if you know how to time right. Wait for him to start what looks to be a rain dance then blast him with a charged shot. Keep doing this but when you hit him he'll be jumping afterward so slide if you need to avoid getting hit by him. This is the best strategy against Toad Man and isn't going to take long before he comes crashing down. Once he's down we'll get his special weapon Rain Flush along with Rush Coil. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Two: Bright Man [MMIV 3.2] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- 100 Watton Dompan Gachappon Guts Hover Minoan At the start of the stage we'll see a big P-Chip that we can grab but we'll need the Rush Coil in order to get up there. Once that we got head now head in the other direction but watch out for the 100 Watton. If we ever dipose of any of them the background will be total black and have to continue blindly unless we find a Dompan to dipose of to light the area back up. When we get near a pitfall as we'll have a Dompan appear as we make our way across. As we have another 100 Watton that we can dispose of as there'll be a Dompan not far after we can use to light the area back up. We'll have another pit to get over but without disposing of a Dompan before we do and climb up a ladder to the next section. As we do we'll have a Minoan hanging as we slide to the other side but when we do have it where it goes in that direction then slide back over. Dispose of it and after we do we see part of an E-Tank. We'll have to collect four of these to get a full E-Tank to our desire. If you grab it then head to the ladder on the other side. After climbing the ladder we'll have a Gachappon to dispose of before moving forward. Once you do head as we'll see a switch that we have to jump on to move it. Be sure to know where the edge is due to after switching it it'll go black as we'll have to jump from one platform to another. As we do we'll have 100 Watton heading our way. We'll have at least a coupe more before coming to an end and switch another switch. There'll be another jump to make as we'll have another Minoan that'll drop down as we dipose of it before heading down the hole. As we do there'll be another Minoan to deal with before heading down another hole. In the next section we have a floor of spikes not far ahead as we have a Guts Hover that we'll have to jump onto. We'll have to jump for it to head up every so often to get across this area. It'll be a repeat process until we come across a 100 Watton as if we dispose of it we'll have a Dompan not far afterward we can use the light up the area. As we get to the platform we have to get to as we'll head up the ladder to the next section. When we do we'll have Minoan that'll drop down as we want to slide so we can dipose of it then head up the other ladder. After we do we'll reach the top and we'll have a switch to jump to as we'll have to get across like before while dealing with 100 Watton. When reaching the end of it and over a pit as we'll have a Minoan to deal with after the first pit after making it to solid ground. There'll be a Gachappon to deal with before heading down a hole only to deal with another Gachappon before heading down another hole. As we do and a little way in as we'll have to get onto a platform that'll be moving from side to side in a swing like fashion. During this time we'll be dealing with 100 Watton as we do. When we get to the other side with this swinging platform as we'll want to time it right to get onto the next one. By the time we get to the fourth one we'll have a letter to try to grab as it'll be an E to get. As we continue to make it through while watching out for the 100 Watton. After the fifth one we'll get a Dompan to deal with. After that we'll have one more to get across while there'll be another 100 Watton and a Dompan to deal with before continuing on. Slide to the next part as we'll have Dompan and a 100 Watton to deal with until we get to a Guts Hover. As we'll want to use this one like the last one that we used to get to where we have to get to next. When we do jump over as there'll be a Dompan to deal with and time to head through the boss gate as we prepare for the fight against Bright Man. o-----------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |-----------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Bright Man | HP: | 19 | DWN: 25 | | Weakness: | Rain Flush | | Weapon Get: | Flash Stopper | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Flash Stopper | | | Body Slam | | | Shots | o-----------------------------------------------o When fighting against Bright Man we'll have to watch for when he uses his special weapon the Flash Stopper as it'll stop us as. We aren't going to be able to move until one of his shots makes contact or he makes contact with us until we're able to. Using the Mega Buster can be a challenge here but using the Rain Flush can be a better way to fight against him especially if used before he uses Flash Stopper. Unlike in the NES of Mega Man 4 he'll be using it at any point during the fight so we better watch ourselves. Once he's down we'll be able to get his special weapon Flash Stopper. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Three: Pharoah Man [MMIV 3.3] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Haehaey Mummira Sasoreenu Taketento Starting the third stage of the game as we'll have to try to get across but as we do we'll have to keep ourselves near the top or it'll lead to our doom for sure. As we do we'll have to watch out for the Sasoreenu as we make it from one platform to another. When we get hear the end of the area we'll have to deal with a couple Haehaey before heading to a hole to drop down. After we do we'll have another Haehaey to deal with before going down another hole. As we do we'll have a few sandtraps that'll have a Sasoreenu in them and when we reach near the end as we'll have a Taketento. There'll be a platform with a big P-Chip and a health capsule we can grab before heading down through the hole to the next section. Dropping down in the next area we'll have a Mummira to deal with before the next section. When in the next area we'll have another Mummira to deal with. When getting near to where have to jump to get to a higher platform as we'll have a Taketento as we want to dipose of it then get to the platform to the left to grab the samll E-tank parts. After you do head back the other way as we'll have a respawned Taketento as there'll be a Mummira in an area below. Head through until we dispose of a Taketento and head to where the Mummira was to grab the E-Tank. Head back as the Taketento have respawned as there'll be another Mummira not far after it. Next up we'll have to jump on a small platform that'll lower itself so far after a few seconds as we'll then want to slide to reach the next one. As you do there'll be a Taketento so dispose of it quickly as we manage to get to where we can slide to advance further. There'll be a Mummira before we drop down the hole then to the other side of the next area to drop down another hole. Once again we'll have a sandtrap but we won't have a Sasoreenu in there as there'll be a platform where a Mummira will appear. Dipose of it to get to the other sand trap. Head through as there won't be a Sasoreenu to deal with but a Mummira when we get near a platform. Dispose of it to continue onward and as we do we'll have a Taketento along with a Haehaey to deal with before going down another hole. Next area has a couple Taketento to deal with before getting to the next section. In this area we'll have the platforms that we have to get past that we can only be on for a few seconds before they lower themselves. Also we see a letter we have to get here, the letter A by the time we have to get to the second one. Want to get to the third one and quickly jump back towards the second one to grab it. Once you do head to the platform that we have to get to we'll have a Taketento to deal with as we do. We'll have more of those platforms to get across as we'll have a Taketento or two along the way until we get back to solid ground again. We'll have another Taketento do deal with before jumping to where there'll be two more of those platformas we want to be on the one closest to the wall. When it's low enough as we want to slide to get through. There'll be a P-Chip that we can get via using the Rush Coil but after we get it to head back down watch out for the Mummira. Once past it we'll reach the boss gate as we prepare to go against Pharoah Man. o------------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |------------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Pharoah Man | HP: | 19 | DWN: 28 | | Weakness: | Flash Stopper | | Weapon Get: | Pharoah Shot | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Pharoah Shot | | | Pharoah Wave | o------------------------------------------------o Facing against him is similar to his Mega Man 4 (NES) counterpart. He'll be making some jumps while doing the Pharoah Shot but there'll be times he'll be bringing out the Pharoah Wave at us. Watching out for when he does that while using the Mega Buster can be challenging. If we go about using the Flash Stopper against him it'll stop him as we can go about blasting him as much as we can until it wears off as we'll have to use again. When using the Flash Stopper we'll have to keep repeating using normal shots and whatnot. Mostly so that the Flash Stopper can kick in by pressing the right buttong. Shouldn't take much doing it this way to take him down and grab his special weapon Pharoah Shot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Four: Ring Man [MMIV 3.4] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Whopper Garyoby Mono Roader Ring Ring Wall Blaster At the start of the stage we'll have a Wall Blaster as we'll have to climb a ladder. Watch for when you go on the platform after dealing with the Wall Blaster as we'll have platforms that'll disppear from one side to the other then reappear. Climb the ladder as it may be possible to bypass the two Wall Blasters and reach the top. As we do there'll be another Wall Blaster along with a Ring Ring. Dispose of them then head to the other ladder. Next area we'll have a couple that we have to watch out for with the platforms as we have to get to the ladder. The first one will be left to right in disappearing and reappearing and the other will be the same. Once to the top of the ladder dispose of the Wall Blaster then head to other ladder. As we get up there we'll have a Ring Ring along with a Garyoall as well as one of those platforms. Make your way across as we'll come to another Wall Blaster to deal with. Next we'll have to get past some spikes but watch out for the Ring Ring and reach the hole at the end. As we get to the next area we'll have a platform that we'll land on so slide to get across fast to the other side and down the ladder. Next area dipose of the Ring Ring then get on the platform and slide to get across fast to a platform. We'll have to dipose of the Ring Ring before jumping to another of those platform and to the ladder. Slide if you must to reach to the end while watching out for the Ring Ring. After you do head up to the ladder to the next area. In the next area dipose of the Wall Blaster then get to the ladder to head up and deal with a couple of Ring Ring. After you do head up another ladder to advance. In the next section wait for the Ring Ring to come to you so you can take care of it then slide to quickly get across to the next ladder. Jump then slide if you must to reach to the next ladder to climb upward. Once up head up the ladder and get around the Garyoall to that tone platform as we want to be where we'll land on a platform below. There'll be a Ring Ring to deal with as we start moving forward. We get to the end of another of those platforms as we'll have a Ring Ring coming at us as we want to dispose of it before moving across the platform to the ladder. We'll have a couple more of those platforms to get across as they shouldn't be too much to do to get to the next area. There'll be a ladder as there'll be a Mono Roader up there. Get up there and dispose of it and head to the right to grab the letter T. Head down then right as we'll see a Wall Blaster as we advance forward as we want to dispose of it before heading up the ladder. As we get up there as we'll have another Mono Roader to deal with before heading to another ladder. You can grab the P-Chip before you do if you want to. At the top we'll have to deal with a Whopper as the only way to do damge is by when its eyes are vulnerable. When it fires its rings at you is when you want to try getting your shots in. As we do enough damage to move onto the next area by sliding to get there and down a hole but want to be to the far right. Wait for when you can and slide to quickly get to where we can safely get to the ladder to head down. When we do we'll have another Whopper to deal with and do the same like the last time against it. After you do we'll be able to continue onward. We'll have another of those areas like the one before the second Whopper to get through. Want to time it right to get through it. In the next area we'll have those platforms again as we have a Ring Ring coming at us. Get to the platform after it as there'll be a Wall Blaster to deal with before getting to another of those platforms to reach another ladder. As we do we'll have a Ring Ring to deal with as we try heading to the ladder. Next area we have a Ring Ring and have to get to the ladder above us. When we do get to it and up to the next area we'll have a couple wall Blasters to deal with then to the next ladder to get upward. Here we have couple of those platforms along with a Ring Ring and a Wall Blaster. Carefully get through here to reach the next ladder and upward to the next area. When reaching the top there'll be a Garyoal as we'll then see the boss gate as we then can prepare to fight Ring Man. o---------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |---------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Ring Man | HP: | 19 | DWN: 28 | | Weakness: | Pharoah Shot | | Weapon Get: | Ring Boomerang | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Ring Boomerang | o---------------------------------------------o Now as we square off against Ring Man as he'll be like his counterpart in Mega Man 4 (NES) as he'll be using his special weapon Ring Boomerang. He'll be jumping as he'll use it or even on the ground so we'll have to be careful either way. We'll want to bring out the Pharoah Shot as it's one of those rare where we can get a bigger as if a super charge it. The bigger as it'll do more damage to Ring Man. Here's a tip if he manages to get hit before firing we can then fire another big one at him. Using the Pharoah Shot against Ring Man should make the fight go by rather quick if time it right. Once he is down we'll get his Ring Boomerang. If we collected all the letters at this point we'll recieve Beat as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Five: Satellite Cannon [MMIV 3.5] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Satellite Cannon o-----------------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |-----------------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Satellite Cannon | HP: | 19 | DWN: -- | | Weakness: | Pharoah Shot | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Core | | | Projectile | o-----------------------------------------------------o Going against the Satellite Cannon as we'll have to watch out for the Core that'll come at us. Eventually it'll land in the center as we'll be able to attack there when it's low enough and open. Watch out for the Projectiles that it'll shoot out at you as it should be easy to avoid then go for the hit. That's basically all you have to do here before it'll go for the Core coming off before reattaching itself. Once it does it'll be a repeat prcoess but the second time around it'll be time for double the projectiles. After the fight we'll be taken to the next area until we have to dipose a bomb then drop down and through a boss gate. After we do we'll have more of them to dispose of until we reach the other boss gate. As we do we'll run into Wily but without having to go about fighting another robot instead. Heading to another boss gate to fight it. o--------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |--------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Ballade | HP: | 19 | DWN: -- | | Weakness: | Pharoah Shot | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Ballade Cracker | o--------------------------------------------o For this fight we'll have to watch when he jumps along with using his special weapon the Ballade Cracker. As we fight him learn his pattern and as we do we'll be able to get hits on him while dodging his attacks. Want to try getting your shots in when he's on either side. Although when he fires his special weapon it'll be going in two directions to the upper corner and at you. When he jumps you should be able to slide under if you have to. It shouldn't be too hard to learn his pattern and bring him down. When we do he'll teleport out of the area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Six: Charge Man [MMIV 3.6] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Bomb Thrown Cocco and Corocoro Metall K1000 Mousubeil Rembakun Taban From the start of the stage we'll have to climb a ladder but as we do there'll be a Metall K1000 up there when we reach the top. A normal shot will dispose of it as we proceed. Continuing on while having a few places to jump over spikes and as we do we'll have a few Rembakun come along. Eventually we'll come to a hole to drop into and as we do we'll have a Bomb Thrown as it'll be easy to avoid it. In the next area we'll have a Taban haning from the ceiling as we can go to where we can slide. We can grab the big P-Chip and after we do there'll be a Cocco and Corocoro to deal with before we can advance. Want to aim for the head to do damage to it. Afterward we'll have a Taban in the next area with a couple P-Chips. Grab the P-Chips then dispose of the Taban and climb the ladder to the next section. Making our way across as we'll have Rembakun in the area until we reach the end and through a hole. As we head down as there'll be another Taban along witha Mousubeil. Continuing on as we'll have Bomb Throw and Metall K1000 until we come to a room with a ladder. Before we can go to the ladder we'll have a Cocco and Corocoro to deal with before we can. Once it's been dealt with head to the ladder to continue onward. In the next section we'll have to head through while watching out for Bomb Throw, Metall K1000 and a Mousubeil before we drop down another hole. After dropping down there'll be another Mousubeil to deal with before going any further. Although if we use the Rush Coil to get to the hole in the wall to the left as we'll have a Cocco and Corocoro to deal with to before grabbing the E-Tank we have there. Head back to where we had came down and dispose of the Mousubeil. Slide through as there'll be another Mousubeil as we'll have another letter this time be spelling out a different word. We can easily grab the Y then move onward. There'll be a Cocco and Corocoro to deal with before moving on as we'll have a Mousubeil to deal with before heading to where we have to go up a ladder. As we do we'll have a Cocco and Corocoro to deal with before we can get to the ladder to climb up it. We'll have Rembakun and Mousubeil to deal with before coming to another hole to fall down. As we do we'll see a boss gate as we prepare to go against Charge Man. o-----------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |-----------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Charge Man | HP: | 19 | DWN: 38 | | Weakness: | Power Stone / Rain Flush | | Weapon Get: | Charge Kick | | Item Get: | Rush Jet | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Charge Kick | | | Coal | o-----------------------------------------------o During the fight he'll act like his Mega Man V (NES) counterpart with the Charge Kick and Coal attacks. When he does the Charge Kick you'll have to watch out and jump over but watch out as he may be not far behind you afterward. Although when he uses the Charge Kick you can't do any damage to him so watch out when he uses it. Using charged shots from the Mega Buster and time it right to hit him with the charged shots. Alternately we can use Rain Flush as it can work against him while we don't have Power Stone at this time. Wanting to time it when he gets ready for the Chage Kick and wait until he finishes before doing that to do hits as the more he does them you can time them. After a while we should be able to bring him down for the count and gain the Charge Kick. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Seven: Napalm Man [MMIV 3.7] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Bomb Thrown Jet Bomb Metall Cannon Mizzile Rolling Drill Subeil Sumatran From the start of the stage we'll have to wait a bit before a hole will open up to our left as we'll then drop down through it. Once we come to a landing we'll have a Sumatran that we want to dispose of. Head to where it was all the way when we see a ladder that leads up bring out the Rain Flush to extinguish it. As we head up the ladder we'll run into Proto Man as he'll give us something for weapons and whatnot. Also on the other side of him we'll have an E-Tank that we can grab. After we do head back down the ladder and use Rain Flush to extinguish the fire again before heading through. Head down that ladder we're near and after we do we'll have a Metall Cannon as we can ignore it as we slide to advance in the stage. Head up the ladder to the top platform and to the edge of the top platform. As we do wait for a rolling drill to come down as we want to jump onto it. We want to ride it until we can get onto antoher platform that'll come in the way. Wait for it to pass so we can slide to ride on it until antoher platform comes in the way we have to get onto. Go until we call in small area and wait as another Rolling Drill passes by before we can move onward. We want to then go down to the next area and a ways in as we can't fully jump to get acorss not until a Rolling Drill comes up a bit to help us get across. At the end we see a Subeil as we want to dispose of it as there'll be a Rolling Drill coming up then at us. We want to jump to land on the Rolling Drill and then up to where the Subeil was then climb the ladder. After going up the ladder we'll have a Metall Cannon to deal with then up another ladder. After we do we'll have a couple Jet Bombs in the area as we focus on the on that's in front of us. Once we do head up the ladders here to the next area. In the next section we'll have to watch out for Sumatran along with Mizzile when we get near some to most pits. When we get to the end as we'll head up another ladder. As we head up the ladder as we'll have a couple of Jet Bomb to deal with before heading up the ladder. Before we get to the top we'll see a Bomb Thrown as we want to dispose of it before we finish climbing the ladder. Once we do head to the top and continue onward as we'll want to bring out the Rush Jet as we need to get a letter. As we go we'll find the letter I on a platform as we can grab it and shouldn't be a problem to get to where we can drop down. Head to we get to a ladder leading down as we head on down. As we do we'll end up landing on a Rolling Drill and let it take us up to where we can go to where the ladder is. Drop down until we get to a platform. When we do we want to move fast as each rock will implode so we want to get moving as fast as we can. Also we want to keep an eye out for Jet Bomb and Mizzile. When we get to the end we'll need help from a Rolling Drill to get across to the platform and up the ladder. Next area we'll need a Rolling Drill to help us get across then up a ldder then move fast to the other ladder to climb it. As we do we'll have an area that we can't access so wait for a Rolling Drill to open up an area for you and head through until we reach the boss gate to face Napalm Man. o-----------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |-----------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Napalm Man | HP: | 19 | DWN: 39 | | Weakness: | Crystal Eye / Pharoah Shot | | Weapon Get: | Napalm Bomb | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Napalm Bomb | | | Missile | o-----------------------------------------------o As we square of Napalm Man as he fights similar to his Mega Man 5 (NES) counterpart. We'll have to watch out for the Napalm Bomb as well as the missiles. The Napalm Bomb can be avoidable for the most part if you're in the right spot but the Missles we'll have to jump over. Using the Crystal Eye or even the Pharoah Shot can be good against him. If using Pharoah Shot a good few super shots or so should be able to put him away and be able to grab his special weapon Napalm Bomb. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Eight: Sone Man [MMIV 3.8] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Kabatoncue Metall Mommy and Baby Metall Rock Thrown Subeil Tatepakkan Taban From the start of the stage we'll see a Metall Mommy that when shot at we'll have Baby Metall that'll come out in three. After that we'll have a Subeil if we didn't dipose of it before going up the ladder. As we continue onward using the rotating platform to get to the platform we have as we can just go by the Taban down to the next area. We'll have a few P-Chips we can pick up before going all the way down in a platform in between. As we're all the way down as we make it across the loose platforms over the pit to the next platform. There'll be a Bomb Thrown dispose of then head to the platform that we have to stand on until we can get to the next one safely by sliding through. When there we'll have a Metall Mommy to deal with then Baby Metall. After we do we'll have to fall down to the next area and through another hole. As we do we'll have to deal with a Kabatoncue. Shoot at the small platforms to bring it down to your level then shoot at it but the ones that you took out will regenerate so watch out. During the encounter we'll have it firing missles be careful of those. When its down far enough prepare to do a number on it so when we get down again to do it again. After defeating it we'll come to some platforms we have to jump across but watch out for the Tatepakkan as we want to wait for it to raise its shield to dispose of it. Once we do continue onward and another Tatepakkan to deal with before we head forward to the next platform. We'll have a couple platforms that we have to get across fast and when we get across there'll be a Taban along with a Metall Mommy. Dispose of the Metall Mommy and Baby Metall then maybe the Taban before moving forward. We get up to the top platform as we'll have a Subeil and a Metall Mommy to dispose of before going up a ladder. As we do we'll want to head to the other ladder to the top. We reach the top and to the next section as we'll have another Kabatoncue to deal with as we want to do like the last one we fight. After dealing with it as we move forward after we do. We get in the next section as we'll have a Tatepakkan as we can stand on top of it as we can time it right to jump when the shield lifts. As it does slide and head up to the ladder upward. We get in the next area with another Tatepakkan as we'll want to do the same again but to get to a platform as we'll then take to the top ladder. We take it up as we'll have a platform to get an E-Tank if needed. Head back down where the first Tatepakkan was and go down the other ladder. There'll be a couple Subeil to deal with before heading down to the next section. As we get there as we'll see a platform that'll give out not long after standing on it. Use it to get to the next platform to continue forward. As we do there'll be a Tatekpakken as we can deal with it or avoid it as we'll get to a platform that'll give out as we slide. After we do we'll come to a Subeil to deal with before moving forward. Head down the hole as there'll be another area with an E-Tank as we can grab it if you need it but if not continue heading down. In the next area we'll have a Subeil as we want to dispose of it or jump when it gets near to let it go. In the next spot we'll have two Subeil as we can do the same here but jump twice then head down. Next area we'll have spikes to get over to continue onward as we'll have a Taban as we get here along with a Subeil. Use the rotating platform to get across as we'll have a Metall Mommy to deal with then Baby Metall before dropping down. In the next spot we'll have a letter to grab an L before we fully go all the way down. Hug the right so we can enter the area and not fall on the spikes then enter through the boss gate to get ready for Stone Man. o----------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |----------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Stone Man | HP: | 19 | DWN: 35 | | Weakness: | Napalm Bomb | | Weapon Get: | Power Stone | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Power Stone | o----------------------------------------------o Facing Stone Man will be similar to his Mega Man 5 (NES) counterpart as he'll jump when using Power Stone to land to where you were to crumble. He'll then reassemble as he'll jump before doing the same even without doing Power Stone before doing so. Watch out for when he does either as either can do a decent amount of damage as you want to be using Napalm Bomb against him. Wanting to time it right when using it against him. As we watch for his attack pattern and using the Napalm Bomb as we'll be able to bring him down for the count. As we do we'll get his special weapon Power Stone. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Nine: Crystal Man [MMIV 3.9] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Bombier Crystal Joe Foojeen Mono Roader Mousubeil Move Hover Pukapucker Subeil From the start of the stage we'll be able to make it all the way until we get to a ladder without any enemies. We'll see a Move Hover but if the E-Tanks are full we aren't going to be needing the small piece at all. As we climb the ladder there'll be a Crystal Joe on a platform to the left as we climb up you shouldn't worry about its attack. Once we reach the top we'll have a Mono Roader to deal with. Dispose of it and head to the other ladder. Once we reach the top there'll be a couple of Bombiers to deal with before coming to a hole that we have to drop down. In the nex section we'll have a Pukapucker and as we make our way up some platforms as there'll be a Subeil to deal with before making it forward. As we do we'll have to make our way across with those platforms like in Stone Man's stage that start moving down after so much time being on them. Once across we'll havea Pukapucker to deal with before heading down a ladder and when we do we'll havea Mono Roader to deal with. Head down the ladder after we dipose of it to the next section. We'll bypass a Crystal Joe but when we get to a ladder where we see a second Crystal Joe we want to head in the area under it as we'll claim another letter. This time it'll be a W to grab. Once you get it head back out and head downward. When we reach the bottom we'll have a Foojeen to deal with before heading to a couple small rock platforms as we'll have to go up one of the two ladders. Head up the one on the right as we do watch out for the Cyrstal Joe but wait for its attack to go before continuing upward. Once reacing the top of the ladder there'll be another Crystal Joe to deal with before going to another ladder. Dipose of it and head up the ladder. As we reach the top head to the right as there'll be a Foojeen to deal with as we'll drop dwon by it at some point. Mak your way over the pit as there's another Foojeen that we can deal with using a charged shot then head onto the platforms. We'll get to a platform with one of the stone ones that'll lower itself as we want it to get as low as possible before we can get across over the spikes. As we do jump over by the ladder bring out Rush Coil to get to the top. When you do we'll have a Mousubeiel along with a Bombier. Make your way around where the Bombier was as we'll have a stone platform that'll lower itself but watch out for when you want to jump as there'll be a crystals that'll fall so want to time your jump right to get over. When you do we'll reach a short ladder but wait for the Bombier to move past before you do. In the next section we'll start off with a Cyrstal Joe. Dipose of it and continue onward but when we come to the pits we have to jump over watch out for falling crystals. After the second one we'll have another Crystal Joe to deal with. Once we get past that we'll have another two pits to deal with falling crystals before another Crystal Joe. After that one is disposed of head forward as the next Crystal Joe we can avoid entirely by sliding under it. As we fall we want to move to the left until we reach the bottom. In the next section we'll have a big pit but have a rotating platform that we can use to help get across. As this is the only thing we'll be doing until we come to a platform with a Crystal Joe on it. Dispose of it and head down the ladder to the next section. As we get there we'll want to head to the right as we'll come to a Move Hover as we want to fire no more then two shots to use it to get across. When you do we'll have a Bombier to deal with. Drop down as we'll have a couple Bombier to deal with before falling through another hole but head towards the middle. After disposing of them and dropping down get near the edge as a platform will rise up. Jump to it and to a small platform with one blocking the way. Wait for it to drop and one a bit further rises up to jump over there to get across. After we do we'll get to a platform as we'll have a Bombier then a Crystal Joe. As we'll come to where we have to drop down and go down until reaching th bottom. Head forward as we'll have to jump over some pits but when we get so far we'll have a Pukapucker to deal with. Head over to go in a pit as we'll see a Foojeen as we want to get down by it when we have the clearance to deal with it. Dispose of it and head through the boss gate to preprare to fight Crystal Man. o------------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |------------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Crystal Man | HP: | 19 | DWN: 40 | | Weakness: | Charge Kick / Ring Boomerang | | Weapon Get: | Crystal Eye | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Crystal Eye | | | Shot | o------------------------------------------------o Similar to his Mega Man 5 (NES) counterpart as he'll be jumping when he does his attacks. The Crystal Eye will come out in multiples of four while the shot only a single shot. You'll have to watch when he jumps and for the attacks he may do against you. Bringing out the Charge Kick or Ring Boomerang as we can go about using them to dispose of Cyrstal Man. I recommend using the Charge Kick and when he's on the ground use it then move away a bit to plan your next attack. It shouldn't be too hard to bring down Crystal Man and get his special weapon Crystal Eye. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Ten: Ballade Part Deux [MMIV 3.10] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Minoan The only way to get to this stage is to have collected the letters that spelled out "WILY". If you managed to have obtained them then let's get ready for this stage and once you have control of Mega Man make your way through the boss gate but as you do there'll be a couple of Minoan that'll attempt to drop down on you but I wouldn't worry about them as you want to get to the other side to the other gate. But if you're in need of a E-Tank feel free to deal with them then use the Rush Coil (RC) to get up there to grab it, other than that just get through it. There'll be a weapon capsule that you can get if you need to refill any of your weapons along with a small P-Chip, but before you can make your way further watch out for the magnet as you can do a charged shot at it to deactivate it. Once past it there'll be another weapons capsule and another small P-Chip then another magnet as you may want to deactivate this one if you want to make the jump a little more successful over the pit to the boss gate. When you get through it'll be time to face off against Ballade again. o--------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |--------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Ballade | HP: | 19 | DWN: -- | | Weakness: | Pharoah Shot | | Weapon Get: | Ballade Cracker | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Ballade Cracker | | | Ballade Cracker [explosion] | o--------------------------------------------o When facing him for the second time have to watch out with his attacks particularly the Ballade Cracker exploson. Shouldn't be too much of a difficult battle to deal with although he can be a bit of a hemorrhoid in that he'll try to stay near you and have to be careful when that happens in trying to get a shot in on him. Using the Power Stone should be able to make the battle easier or you can use the Pharoah Shot but trying to get a charged shot of that in can be a little tricky if he moves with you forcing not much of a charge to hit him in the process. Time his moves right especially the jumps slide under him making this battle a breeze. Once defeated you should be able to gain his weapon, the Ballade Cracker. After defeating Ballade for the second time it's not exactly out of the woods just yet as you'll have to get past the explosion that's going on and it isn't going to be easy if playing through for anyone playing thorugh for the first time. Make your way through until you come to like torpedo like things spinning as you want to destroy them but the one that you can't reach with the Mega Buster you'll want to use either the Ballade Cracker or the Napalm Bom but recommend the Ballade Cracker with being able to jump and use it to shoot down at it, then walk to the wall then use again shooting down. Slide your way down then slide again to come to some more torpdoes. Shoot upwards to the top and middle ones are taken out then to the next ones that you'll want to leave two on the bottom as you jump onto the ones that you left. When you blast through the next few as you'll soon come to where you'll have so many and don't destroy the bottome one as you'll need to have a place to be on obviously. Destroy the top two then slide through then destroy the top three of the next then you'd want to shoot the Ballade Cracker upwards to destroy a path through as it can be tricky once you get onto the platform to destroy the next set without destorying the bottom one in case you need it for support to drop down. Take out most of them above the area as you'll jump up there when most are clear and take out the rest to make ways to the boss gate and be home free as Wily's castle goes down but not without Wily leaving to head to his ship out in Outer [beeping] Space that looks like something out of the '80s Voltron show. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Eleven: Wily Stage II [MMIV 3.11] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Apache Joe Jet Bomb Metall Cannon Press'N From the start of the stage it's not that hard to get through but watch out for the Jet Bombs that you've seen in Napalm Man's stage as you'll want to either shoot them with the Mega Buster or slide under them of the ones that are low enough to hit you. After a bit you'll end up coming across a giant Met but you'll have to watch out as it's attached to a gunner type of gun that can shoot a ball out which will go straight or bounce. You can jump onto the barrell but you'll only be able to shoot it when you can see the eyes of it. Should take a few charged shots or so to take it out and make your way through the next part but instead of missles you'll have to watch out for the Press'N enemy that'll try to jump and land on you. After making it past that one watch out as you'll have to face another Met in the same thing as last time as this one may shoot out missles at you so watch out for those so time it right with those and the ball that'll be shot out of the barrell as the same should apply but just be careful in this one. Once defeated make your way through as you'll come across what looks like a Apache Joe in a fighter jet kind of thing. Wanting to watch out for the Jet Bombs as you can choose to destroy them if you wish or just make your way past it ignoring them by sliding under them.. Keep on going until you get to the boss battle of the stage. o-------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |-------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Bridge | HP: | 19 | DWN: -- | | Weakness: | BEAT | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Ballade Cracker | | | Extendable Arm | | | Napalm Bomb | | | Power Stone | | | Ring Boomerang | o-------------------------------------------o To be able to do damage to the first boss of the Wily Stages is to wait for what seems like an eye to open up before you can shoot to do any damage to it. Although using Beat or like the Ballade Cracker are the best to use in this battle but even just using the Mega Buster can even be just as good at fighting against it. You'll have to watch out for a few attacks that it'll dish out against you, that of a few of the Robot Masters along with it's Extendable Arm that'll go depending on where you were at the time that it lashes out at you. This isn't that much of a hard fight to get through, just time your shots when the eye opens and should be golden to get by it. Once defeated you'll get dropped down into the next stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Twelve: Wily Stage III [MMIV 3.12] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Apache Joe Bomb Throw Cocco and Corocoro Crystal Joe Gachoppin Mizzile Pukapucker Sumachan Sumatran Tatepakkan Now comes for the second part of the Wily stage as you'll have to do some jumping early on but watch out when you do as you'll have some missles coming up at you if you attempt to jump. Wait for them to go down before you attempt to do so like before in Napalm Man's stage. There'll be four of them that have to watch out for before getting to a couple of stones that you'll have to jump on that'll start getting loose and drop some as you land on them. Get up to the top one and when it gets low enough slide on under but if you need to acquire the E-Tank, use the Ring Boomerang to get it before sliding under. Once through there'll be a Crystal Joe to worry about as you can take it out before going up the ladder as there'll be a Gachoppin at the top to your left as you can safely take it out from a distance then up the ladder. Once up the ladder there'll be a Sumachan that you can take out with a super charge before making your way over there but when you do bring out the Rush Jet (RJ) to make your way over the spikes. When you get so far there'll be a Rock Throw to deal with so jump off to deal with it then bring out the Rush Jet again to make your way further before having to jump off to deal with another Rock Throw and drop down the pit fall. Watch out for the Cocco as you want to be against the wall blasting it from a distance. When that one is out of the way drop down and ignore the Crystal Joe to the next fall down but watch out for a Press'N before going down the ladder. Best to defeat it before going down the ladder. Once down there'll be another Crystal Joe to deal with and make your way through as there'll be a Tatepakkan, take it out and a couple pitfalls after the platform that it was on watch out for the missle that'll come up from the pit. There'll be another Tatepakkan on the second platform after the missle comes up and when that one is done there'll be another missle in the last pit fall before the boss gate. Once through you'll have a boss fight. o-----------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |-----------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Hunter [1] | HP: | 19 | DWN: -- | | Weakness: | Napalm Bomb | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Duplicate Hunter | | | Jump | o-----------------------------------------------o When this fight goes on the first thing that it'll do is send out Duplicate Hunters to confuse you in hitting them instead and best advice to keep an eye on the real one as you can fire at that while trying to dispose of the fake ones throughout the battle. Using the Pharoah Shot can help to destroy the fake ones and focus more on the real one a tip on more damage that you do to it the faster that it'll become and bouncing off the walls. As mentioned keep your eye on the real one while trying to deal with the fake ones as it shouldn't take much to take the real one out. Once defeated you'll get a large energy capsule to help out past the second gate. The first pitfall will have a Mizzle and then when you get over the next two jumps there'll be a Apache Joe to deal with. The next jump will have a Mizzle to deal with before jumping over to so you can take the ladder upwards. Head upwards and deal with the Cocco and up another ladder as there'll be a Pukapucker to deal with before you can go further. Once gone get up to where it was bring out the Rush Jet (RJ) to make your way over the spikes until you see another Pukapucker as you can jump down if you wish to deal with it before dropping down. When you do there'll be a Alpache Joe there as you may want to dispose of it before going down the ladder as you do there'll be a Mummira there. Make your way past it then bring out the Rush Coil (RC) at the edge to get up to the next part but there'll be a Foojen. Make past that as you'll get to the next platform after the pitfall as there'll be another Mummira at the top to dispose of then use the Rush Coil to get up there to make your way through but when you get to the end of the edge with a pitfall as you don't want to jump just yet as there'll be another Mummira there to deal with before heading there. If you time it right you can sneak past it and through a boss gate for another boss fight. o-----------------------------------------------o | Boss Information | |-----------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Hunter [2] | HP: | 19 | DWN: -- | | Weakness: | Napalm Bomb | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Contact | | | Duplicate Hunter | | | Jump | o-----------------------------------------------o Similar to the last time but this time you'll have to be careful as the plaform between the boss gates can change at any time so watch out when they change and adapt as quick as you can to keep your eye on the real one during this one. The same strategy as the other but keeping up with the changing of the room throughout the fight. When defeated you'll get a large energy capsule as you can now head through the other gate. Once through the gate there'll be a Sumatran on one of the poles in between a couple of pitfalls as you want to dispose of it from the distance with a charged shot before heading through. Five jumps into it as there'll be a Mizzle to deal with and at the end of the pitfalls there'll be a Sumatran on a lower platform, as you want to time it right to jump over it and deal with it. At the end near a pitfall that you'll have to go down there'll be a Tatepakken but you can ignore it and head down to see another Apache Joe before another pitfall you have to go down. There'll be a Press'N before you reach the teleporter to deal with the robot rematch with the eight Robot Masters of the game. o----------------------------------------------------------o | Toad Man | | Napalm Man | |-------------| |-------------| | Bright Man | | Stone Man | |-------------| o------------------------o |-------------| | Pharoah Man | | Ring Man | Crystal Man | | Charge Man | o----------------------------------------------------------o Once all eight of them has been defeated you'll have a chance to refill any weapons you can but the two I'd recommend to get up to full are Pharoah Shot and Power Stone. If those don't take much to fill, let the weapon converter fill up the others automatically for you as you'll won't have to worry about any enemies to the next teleporter so you can go ahead to face off against Dr. Wily. Once through the teleporter a cutscene will be triggered. o---------------------------------------------------- -o | Boss Information | |------------------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Wily Golem [Core] | HP: | 19 | DWN: -- | | Weakness: | Crystal Eye / Power Stone | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | N/A | o------------------------------------------------------o When it comes to this one you'll need to watch out for the hands that'll come from either side at random as it can be difficult to determine which side a hand will come at. During the time in between use the Power Stone as you should be able to get up to two hits on the core. One tip for the fight is if the hand comes from high above then down watch out for the debris that'll follow afterwards. May take a bit to figure out how much time you have before either hand comes in but once you do, should be good to try getting a hit or two on the core before you finish it off. o---------------------------------------------------- -o | Boss Information | |------------------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Wily Golem [Face] | HP: | 19 | DWN: -- | | Weakness: | Ballade Cracker | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | N/A | o------------------------------------------------------o As it pertains to this one when the mouth lowers and tries sucking you in use the Ballade Crasher aim it right and it should go in do to damage to it. After that is done there'll be a some sparks that'll come down at you but those should be able to be avoided easily and then comes another attack as you want to be on the far right. Equip the Crystal Eye and when it starts moving hit it at least two or three times to avoid it hitting you before going back to trying to suck you towards it. Use the Ballade Crasher on it and it'll do the other two moves again in said order as you should have this fight done. Once done it'll be time for the last part of the fight in his ship. o---------------------------------------------------- -o | Boss Information | |------------------------------------------------------| | Boss: | Wily Golem [Ship] | HP: | 19 | DWN: -- | | Weakness: | Pharoah Shot | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | N/A | o------------------------------------------------------o For the last part of the fight in his ship you'll have to watch out for when he appears as he'll drop a missle then disappear and reappear to drop another to try hit you or send you to your death. After the second missle he'll go and it'll be a fresh space with no holes to worry about but depending on where he is when you do if the Pharoah Shot is charged you may be able to hit him with it. Although on the distance between you and heading to the right you should be able to if enough distance to fire the charged shot upwardss at him. Manage to do it right, you'll be able to take him down with no problem at all. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 4.
