Introduction [MMII 1] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Welcome to Warhawk's guide for Mega Man II for the Game Boy. Coming off of movtivation of writing one for Mega Man 11 along with Mega Man Dr. Wily's Revenge. As I've been a fan of the Mega Man franchise since around the mid- 90s as it's been one of my top series I've spent a lot of time playing. Mostly playing the Classic and X series as I eventually want to write for as many of those games as I can before I decide to put it up in writing these up. As usual my best effort will be put into this along with the other Mega Man games I will cover between now and in the future. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 2. Walkthrough [MMII 3] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter One: Metal Man [MMII 3.1] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Mole Pierobot Press Springer At the start of the stage we'll start on a conveyor belt as we'll have to move forward. When we come to the end watch out for when we go about dropping down as there'll be a Spinger to there heading towards the conveyor belt. Drop down to the hole after making your way past it as we'll want to be to the left or right to avoid hitting the spikes on the way down then want to head towards the middle after that set. After the second head towards the right as we continue to fall until we come to a platform. At the end we'll be on a conveyor belt but there'll be a Pierobot that'll come down on a gear when we get close enough. Once we dispose of it head to the other side and drop down. When we do we'll be in an area of conveyor belts. The one we drop on and the one we have to jump to we'll have a Springer to worry about. Get past them as we get have to continue onward. When we do it won't be long before we come to a Press and let it drop. Wait for it to raise up far enough to where we can be clear to go past it. The next couple of conveyor belts will be agianst us and both of them will have to worry about a Press during both of them. When near the end there'll be another Press and wait for it to be up as far for enough room to go under it to continue on. As we do there'll be a few Moles that'll be coming from the ceiling or floor. When we reach a conveyor belt as there'll be a Press not far into it. As we make it past that as we'll have to worry about Moles coming from the ceiling or floor until we get to a conveyor belt. We'll have to take the conveyor belt until we see a couple of spikes we'll have to jump over to another conveyor belt. We'll have to deal with a couple or so Pierobots. There'll be another conveyor belt to jump up to as there'll be another Pierobot before making to a ladder to climb. Climb up the ladder and after we do there'll be a couple of Mets to deal with as one will be to the left after we climb up. The other is near the ladder that we have to get to. Dispose of first one then climb up to the next platform. Get near enough for it to open up then dispose of it and slide to gain access to the platform near the ladder we have to get to and slide to get to it. Head to the right so we can dispose of the Met to the right. Now head to the left slide under to get to the platform above then slide again to get where the Met was that we disposed of. Head up the ladder as the other Met will attempt to attack. Dispose of it then head over to where it was to head up the ladder. Head up the ladder and slide under to advance. As we head onward as we'll have several Pierbots to deal with along the way. After getting past them we'll be reacing the boss gate. Unlike Dr. Wily's Revenge we'll have to go through two boss gates like in the other Mega Man games before we can enter the boss room. o-------------------------------o | Boss Information | |-------------------------------| | Boss: | Metal Man | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | 09 | | Weakness: | Crash Bomber | | Weapon Get: | Metal Blade | | Item Get: | Rush Marine | | Attack(s): | Metal Blade [1] | | | Contact [4] | o-------------------------------o Facing Metal Man is similar to fighting him in Mega Man 2 on the NES as he is able to jump and throw Metal Blades at you. Although the fight is going to be on a conveyor belt to make the fight a bit tough if you're used to being on solid ground for a fight. In order to do any damage to him we'll have to jump and fire at him but watch for when he throws the Metal Blades at you so you can properly dodge them as they're thrown. He shouldn't do much other then jump and throw the Metal Blades at you unless you get near him as he may jump to the other side to do the same attack. Also may want to watch out in case he switches the direction of the conveyor belt. Dodging the Metal Blades well enough as you should be able to take him down without much hassle and obtain his special weapon Metal Blade. Also we'll be getting the Rush Marine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Two: Wood Man [MMII 3.2] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Batton Cannon Friender Kukku Needle Press Neo Metall Robbit Now onto the second stage of the game. As we start there'll be a couple of Batton hanging from a tree but more than likely they aren't going to be trying to attack as we get near as we get onto the next platform. Not far as we'll have a Robbit to deal with before heading through. After disposing of it we want to go until we jump onto a higher platform as there'll be another Robbit to deal with as there'll be Batoon above. Likly none will try to attack until you dealt with the Robbit. Continue on as we'll have to jump to a higher part of the platform. As we head further as we'll have to be dropping down until we get to where another Robbit appears. While we try to dispose of it the Batton that's hanging near will eventually come towards you as we'll have to dipose of them then the Robbit. Once we do towards the end as there'll be one more Robbit before we get to the ladder to head down. As we head down the ladder to the next section as there'll be Batton as we'll be able to get by them with no problem. Head down to the next section as we'll be confronted by a Friender. Watch for when it shoots some fireballs your way as it'll be about a couple seconds before it sends more at you so time it right to fire then jump. After it's dealt with continue onward and down the ladder. When we do we'll have a Robbit to deal with before heading down to the next area. As we get to the next area we'll Needle Press, Neo Metall, and Cannon. We can try going through them but we'll take the easy way by using Rush Marine through the water. By using Rush Marine we can avoid taking any damage and make our way through this section much more easier. When we get to the end under a ladder unequip the Rush Marine and head up the ladder. As we do there'll be a couple of Batton before reaching the next ladder. Wait for them to come at you and dipose of them then head up the ladder as in the next section we'll have a couple of Metall to deal with. Dispose of them to make it to the next ladder. Here we'll have to deal with Kukku as we'll have to run in the opposite direction until they jump aas we can then go under them. We'll end up going up a couple of higher platforms before there'll be Batton hanging from the trees. The Batton shouldn't be too much to deal with while dealing with the Kukku coming at you but when you get or close to the highest we'll be going there'll be a Robbit. Dispose of it and it'll be smooth sailing until we reach the boss gate so we can fight Wood Man. o-------------------------------o | Boss Information | |-------------------------------| | Boss: | Wood Man | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | 16 | | Weakness: | Metal Blade | | Weapon Get: | Leaf Shield | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Leaf Shield [5] | | | Leaves [4] | | | Contact [6] | o-------------------------------o Going against Wood Man is so familar with fighting against him in Mega Man 2 on the NES. He'll be surrounding himself with a Leaf Shield then he'll be sending it your way. When that happens we'll have to jump over it as we'll have leaves coming down from the ceiling as that happens. At this point it'll be time to start utilizing any attack against him as we can use the Mega Buster against him if you want to go for a challenge. On the other hand we bring out the Metal Blade and use it against him we can have him down before he has a chance to bring out another Leaf Sheild for his defense. Going with the way of the Metal Blade as we'll have the fight over rather quick and get Wood Man's special weapon, Leaf Shield. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Three: Air Man [MMII 3.3] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Goblin (with Petit Goblins) Matasaburo Kaminari Goro Pipi Scworm As we're now onto the third stage of the game. When we start the stage and start heading forward we'll have a Pipi that'll be coming at us. By the time we reach the end of the platform we'll have a Goblin appear. Wait for the drills to go down before jumping onto it. When we jump onto it watch out for Petit Goblins that'll come out from the sides. We'll have four Goblins to use as platforms until we get to a platform and when we do there'll be a Pipi to watch out for. There'll be another Pipi that'll come in before we fall to the next area. Next area we'll have to slide to get to the next area after this. In the next area use the top platforms and avoid the Scworm to head to the next section. Once there we'll have a couple of Pipi to deal with by the time we get to the edge when a Goblin appears. A Pipi may continue respawning until you go about jumping onto the Goblin. When on the second Goblin there'll be a Matasaburo that'll be trying to keep you there by blowing air towards you. Dispose of it so we can continue forward. Make your way through as there'll be another couple of Goblin to jump onto with another Matasaburo on the platform after the second Goblin. Dipose of the Matasaburo and at the end of that platform we'll start seeing Kaminari Goro. Dispose of it to jump onto the cloud platform. There'll be five of them to deal with before we can safely get near a platform to jump onto. Drop down as we'll have a Scworm as we can easily avoid it to make it to the other side. Once down make your way right as we'll continue onward as we'll eventually be finding ourselves to the boss gate to prepare to fight Air Man. o-------------------------------o | Boss Information | |-------------------------------| | Boss: | Air Man | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | 10 | | Weakness: | Leaf Shield | | Weapon Get: | Air Shooter | | Item Get: | Rush Jet | | Attack(s): | Air Shooter [2] | | | Contact [4] | o-------------------------------o When going against Air Man isn't too much dissimilar to when fighting him in Mega Man 2 on the NES. Although he won't shoot too many of the Air Shooter at you so that'll be a relief. Depending on where they appear and being able to get through them to get any hits on him. While with the Mega Buster as we can either jump or slide under the sets that he shoot out at us. On the other hand using the Leaf Shield we can jump or slide under them to get the few hits to dispose of him quickly after at tleast just one shot at us. After we're done with him we'll get his special weapon, Air Shooter along with Rush Jet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Four: Clash Man [MMII 3.4] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Blocky Pipi Prop-Top Shotman Telly From the start of the stage we'll have to climb up as the first couple areas will have just a Telly to deal with as we can avoid them to reach the top. As we reach the top and start heading right as we'll be having a Blocky coming at us. Aim for the second from the top to dispose of it as the first show will disassemble as it'll pull back together before we deliver the final blow after it does. Make your way to the end and up the ladder. Wan to make the jump onto the platform as it may be easy to get to the ladder after we do. If not equip the Leaf Shield so we don't get hit by the Telly in the area. For the next two sections it'll be the same thing but getting to the ladder will require us being on it for a while where we'll have to use the Leaf Shield to preotect us from the Telly in the areas. When we reach the top continue onward. We'll have a Blocky before reaching the end and fall down the hole. Stay near the wall to the right but not all the way. We'll eventually land on a platform as there'll be some spikes there that we can get over. We can see a E-Tank as we can use the Rush Jet to get over to it. Unequip the Rush Jet then drop dwon to the hole on the left. We'll land on a platform as there'll be a Shotman as we can avoid it but if we go to far we'll land on spikes below so when we fall quickly go to the left. Continue on the way down as there'll be a ladder and another Shotman. Once all the way to the bottom jump over the pit as we'll have to slide but watch out for the Telly. There'll be a couple more pits to jump over as we have to watch out for other Telly before making it across to another ladder. Once we're all the way up head to the left as we'll have a Pipi coming from behind but we'll be up the ladder before it can do anything. Head up either ladder as we'll have a platform moving in a rectangular pattern. Jump onto it and to the ladder to the right if you want to get another E-Tank but watch for the Pipi. If you get that we'll then head up the ladder on the left as we climb up to get to the other ladder. As we do there'll be a Shotman to the far right that'll be trying to hit us from afar. When it changes angle then head down the ladder to shoot towards it to dipose of it. Head to where it was and we'll reach the boss gate so we can fight Clash Man. o--------------------------------o | Boss Information | |--------------------------------| | Boss: | Clash Man | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | 13 | | Weakness: | Air Shooter | | Weapon Get: | Clash Bomb | | Item Get: | Rush Coil | | Attack(s): | Clash Bomb [4] | | | Clash Bomb | | | explosion [4] | | | Contact [4] | o--------------------------------o While he'll be fighting similar to Mega Man 2 on the NES as it'll be a little easier to fight him in here. Equipping the Air Shooter as we want to shoot it just right so it'll hit him as he jumps. We'll be able to slide and avoid his attack. As this will be the way it'll be going for the fight for the most part on this. Just keep hitting him like this until he goes down for the count as we'll then obtain his special weapon the Clash Bomber. We'll also be getting the Rush Coil. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Five: Needle Man [MMII 3.5] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Bikky Cannon Hammer Joe Hari Harry Needle Press Neo Metall Yambow Just when you thought we'll be dealing with the Wily Stages but instead as we get there and fall to where we get the teleport area. Instead of going straight to a boss we'll have to go through a stage for the boss we choose. We'll start with Needle Man whom we can go in the bottom right. As we start the stage as we go forward until we come to a Hari Henry. We can deal damage to it until it rolls up then come at us. There'll be three more of them until we come to the end where we can climb up a ladder. When we do there'll be another Hari Henry up here. Dispose of it head up the ladder than up the other ladder. As we do there'll be a Hari Henry to the left of us as we continue on the way upward. We can't access that area at the moment so when at the top we'll make our way through but watch out for the Cannon. The only way to damage it is wait for it to fire to do so. When we get to the third Cannon as we want to dispose of it then use Rush Coil to get over the platfor. There'll be a spot where we can go up or slide as we'll want to slide on the bottom as there'll be Needle Press at the very top. When at the end there'll be Neo Metall along with another Cannon. After disposing of it there'll be another couple of Cannons to deal with before a Neo Metall. There'll be a platform that we have to get up to and as we do there'll be a Yanbow that'll fly in then drop down to head at us. If you see an E-Tank with a Neo Metall near it we can grab it when we continue to where we can go down a ladder. Watch out as there'll be a couple more Yanbows before we get there. Dispose of the Neo Metall before or after sliding to get there. When grabbing it the Yanbows will respawn. Head down the ladder and head to the right but watch out for the Needle Press before dropping. Moe quick after it goes back up and drop down. We'll have to go to the left but watch for the Needle Press there then down the ladder. After heading down we'll have only Needle Press to watch out for. Making your way through watch for where they'll be and avoid getting damaged by them. We'll eventually reach a ladder that we can take up as there'll be a Hammer Joe as we'll only be able to do damage after he throws. Dispose of it before heading to the next ladder. As we head up the ladder there'll be a Bikky as we can only damage it when it gets ready to jump towards us. We should be able to slide under when it jumps and when we do we'll be getting ready to head through the boss gate to deal with Needle Man. o---------------------------------o | Boss Information | |---------------------------------| | Boss: | Needle Man | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | 17 | | Weakness: | Top Spin / | | | Air Shooter | | Weapon Get: | Needle Cannon | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Needle Cannon [3] | | | Needle Hammer [6] | | | Contact [4] | o---------------------------------o When fighting him can be similar to how we fight him in Mega Man 3 on the NES as he'll be using the same attacks for the most part. While using the Mega Buster alone against him will be challenging to do but for the fight to be easier as we'll bring out the Air Shooter. If he jumps want to time it right so it'll hit him and it shouldn't be a problem when he's on the ground. When he's on the ground want to watch out for the Needle Hammer move but he'll be jumping to fire the Needle Cannon. Watch out for if he'll run towards you at any point during the fight as he'll either make normal contact or even bring out the Needle Hammer from his head. After we dipose of him we'll get the Needle Cannon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Six: Magnet Man [MMII 3.6] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Giant Springer Mag Fly Metall New Shotman Peterchy Head to the bottom left to get to Magnet Man's stage. As we attempt to go forward as we get a bit before we start having Mag Fly coming at us. We'll have a few of them or so before we reach a pitfall as there'll be one heading towards us when we do. We should be able to jump over it before it gets to us but the next pitfall use the Mag Fly to help us get over the next one. As we do there'll be a couple more pitfalls to get over as we use the Mag Fly to help us get over them before reaching a ladder. Head down the ladder to the next section. In the next section we'll have a New Shotman here as there'll be an E-Tank near it. Dipose of it then slide under and jump up to grabit if you need it then head down the hole to the left. As we do there'll be a few Giant Springer to deal with before coming to a ldder and head down it. We'll have a few Peterchy to deal with as we'll want to dispose of them before making our way down to the next ladder. There'll be a couple of Peterchy but wait for them to get under you and down the pit before we drop down. Head towards as we have a magnet pulling us as we have to time it for the jump to where the Peterchy were. As we head to the next platform there'll be another Magnet that'll be trying to pull us and a couple of Peterchy will be on that platform. Carefully dispose of them then head up on that platform and down the ladder. There'll be a New Shotman here as a couple of disppearing and reappearing platforms. Watch out for the spikes as we can use the Rush Jet to be on the safe side here to get up near the New Shooter and dispose of it. Head to the ladder that'll lead us down to the next section. As we do we'll really need to use the Rush Jet here but wait until we reach a platform tha we can't get over on our own. Bring out the Rush Jet and as we have full control of it to get all the way over to the end where we can get to a ladder. Making our way up the ladder as we'll have a Metall that'll try firing us from the other side of the wall to where we can't get to just yet. When we reach the top there'll be a New Shotman on a platform. Watch out that you don't fall onto the spikes in the process. Dispose of the New Shotman as we can head down the one ladder to get the items we couldn't get to. As we'll have to deal with the Metall then the New Shotman in the process on the way back up the one ladder. When we can head up the other ladder if you need to grab those items if needed. As we get up there as we'll have a Giant Springer to deal with and after we do we'll be reaching the boss gate. We'll have to prepare ourselves for the fight against Magnet Man. o---------------------------------o | Boss Information | |---------------------------------| | Boss: | Magnet Man | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | 18 | | Weakness: | Needle Cannon | | Weapon Get: | Magnet Missle | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Magnet Missle [3] | | | Contact [6] | o---------------------------------o As we fight Magnet Man he'll be using the Magnet Missile against us. During the fight he isn't going to be trying to pull us to him with the magnet. The only thing he'll be doing is going to each side jumping up in the air to fire the Magnet Missle as the only time we'll able to do damage is when he comes down after firing them. Using the Needle Cannon when he comes down as it deals a bit of damage to him as it makes contact to him. While he fires the Magnet Missle be as close as you can then slowly move away from him so you can dodge the Magnet Missles. When he comes near and slide when he makes the jump for the Magnet Missles. During the time he does is the best time to do any damage to him. Doing that can help you defeat him. When you do you'll get his special weapon, Magnet Missle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Seven: Hard Man [MMII 3.7] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Hammer Joe Returning Monking Pickelman Bull Have "Su" Bee (with Chibees) Wanaan To get to Hard Man's stage we'll have to go to the upper left hand corner as we'll be able to start his stage. There aren't going to be any enemies unil we come to where we'll have to slide under a platform that we can't gain access to. By the time we get to end of sliding we'll have a couple Have "Su" Bee that'll drop shell like things that'll turn into Chibees to attack you. Use the Leaf Sheield to dispose of them quickly as opposed to using the Mega Buster. There's an E-Tank we can go about getting if we choose to get up there to get. As we continue onward there'll be a few things that we'll be going over as a Wanaan will come up to attack if you're not quick enough. Once that we do we'll have another Have "Su" Bee coming at us from behind. We'll have to slide as we'll go past a couple to few Wanaan's until we can reach the end to head up a couple ladders. As we head up the top ladder as there'll be a Hammer Joe to the left as we want to go all the way up to the top platform. At the top platform jump onto it as there'll be a Hammer Joe up there as well. Dispose of it while trying to avoid the projectile it'll throw as we head onward to the end and up another ladder. There'll be a couple Returning Monking after we get up in here as the first two we can easily avoid by sliding under them after they jump to the ceiiling. Making it further as there'll be another as we'll have some room to be able to do damage to it. Once it's been dealt with head to the end and up the ladder. Watch out for the Hammer Joe that'll try knocking you off with its projectile. Once at the top there'll be a Returning Monking and we'll have to try to dipose of this one. Head to the ladder to the upper left when done with it. Not far into making our way after getting to the top as there'll be a Pickelman Bull to dispose of. The rest of the way we'll have a few Wanaan's along with one more Have "Su" Be before reaching the boss gate to prepare to face Hard Man. o----------------------------------o | Boss Information | |----------------------------------| | Boss: | Hard Man | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | 20 | | Weakness: | Magnet Missile | | Weapon Get: | Hard Knuckle | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Hard Knuckle [3] | | | Body Press [6 + 6] | | | Contact [6] | o----------------------------------o Close to how he fights in Mega Man 3 as going against him can be hard with the Hard Knuckle that'd be soon be followed by a Body Press. Dodging the Hard Knuckle shouldn't be too hard to do. It's the Body Press when he jumps and dives to the ground on his head. When he does that we don't want to be on the ground when he does that. From the start of the fight we want to bring out the Magnet Missile to use against him. Should be able to get a couple or so hits if not more on him before he does a Body Press. After he does the first Body Press shouldn't be long before we can take him down but if not watch out for the Hard Knuckle and another Body Press before we do. After dealing with him we'll gain his special weapon Hard Knuckle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Eight: Top Man [MMII 3.8] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Komasaburo Mechakkero Metall DX (normal type) New Shotman Pickelman Bull Tama Now onward to Top Man's stage in the upper right hand corner. Starting off the stage as we'll soon run into a Mechakkero as there'll be another before heading down a ladder. When we head down the ladder we'll have a Pickelman Bull to deal with before we can head down another ladder. As we're down the ladder we'll have some platofrms that'll appear and disappear as we'll go about using the Rush Marine to get through here. Once to the other end jump up as we'll have a New Shotman to deal with. Dispose of it and drop down as we'll have a Metall DX to deal with after we fall down to the next section. After dealing with it head down the hole to the next section. WHen we do we have a Tama to deal with as we want to shoot at it's head to do damage to it until it's down for the count. Watch out for the ball and flea like enemies it'll toss at you possibly before disposing of it. When its done head on down to the next section. As we get there as we'll have some Pickleman Bull to deal with in this area before reaching another ladder to head down. When we start heading down the ladder don't go all the way down to where we fall off of it. There'll be a Komasaburo as we can hit it from the last part of the ladder and drop while heading to the left. Head to the ladder that was next to it to get to the next section. There'll be another Tama but we have an area where we can slide under to avoid dealing with it. In the next area we have another Komasaburo we can dispose of it so we can ge tthe E-Tank with ease if you need it. If not head to the other ladder. Once down there'll be a Mechakkero to deal with. After we do that we'll have a couple of Komasaburo to dispose of afterward and after the second one we'll have to jump onto some tops to get to the other side. Once we do we'll have one more Komasaburo to dispose of before reaching the boss gate to prepare to face against Top Man. o----------------------------------o | Boss Information | |----------------------------------| | Boss: | Top Man | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | 21 | | Weakness: | Hard Knuckle | | Weapon Get: | Top Spin | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Top Spin [6] | | | Tops [4] | | | Contact [6] | o----------------------------------o Going against Top Man is like in his Mega Man 3 counterpart. He'll send some Tops in the air as we want to try to be where they can come toward us and quickly evade by sliding. When he does send the tops we want to have Hard Knuckle equipped to send a Hard Knuckle his way before he enters Top Spin mode. As soon as he enters Top Spin mode he can't be damaged until he reaches the other side. When comes to an end it'll be time send Tops in the air as it'll be a repeat cycle so know when he'll be doing either. Shouldn't take too much to take him down. Once you do we'll get his special weapon Top Spin. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Nine: Quint [MMII 3.9] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ o----------------------------------o | Boss Information | |----------------------------------| | Boss: | Quint | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | --- | | Weakness: | Hard Knuckle | | Weapon Get: | Sakugame | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Ground Debris [6] | | | Contact [4] | o----------------------------------o After defeating Top Man there'll be an opening in the ground to the bottom left. Head down it as we'll face off againsg Quint. He'll be on a jackhammer as there'll be debris that'll come up from both sides. It's during that time we can get hits on him. Watch out for when he attempts to come twoard you as we'll have to run or slide but likely to slide. After he lands if he gets close enough then start doing as many hits on him as you can. Eventually he'll be defeated and we'll gain another weapon, the Sakugame. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter Nine: Wily Stage I [MMII 3.9] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cast of Enemies --------------- Giant Springer Hammer Joe Kaminari Goro Mechakkero Metall New Shotman Pipi Returning Monking Scworms As we start the stage as we make it a bit before we come across a Hammer Joe to dispose of as we have an area where we can be safe. Hit when we can to go further in the stage. Make it to the end and drop down but all the way to the right as there'll be spikes. There'll be appearing and disappearing platforms we can use the Rush Jet if you want to not worry about landing on the spikes. Drop down the hole when we reach there. As we drop down we want to be to the right so we land on a platform as we'll have a New Shotman in front of us. Continue heading down as we'll have a Metall to deal with when we get all the way down as we'll see a ladder in the bottom left hand corner. We'll have to slide to get to it. Head down the ladder as we want to make our way all the way to the bottom then up the ladder when we do. Watch out for any enemies along the way such as Metall along with a Hammer Joe as we climb our way up the ladder. As we reach the top head to the ladder on the right then drop all the way down. When we do we'll have a couple blocks that'll help us get to the water part as we'll bring out Rush Marine to get through this part. ALong the way we'll have a couple Mechakkero in the area before reaching another ladder. Unequip the Rush Marine and head up the ladder. Once up there we'll have a Returning Monking to deal with before heading up another ladder. After we dealt with it head up the ladder. We'll have a Giant Springer to deal with before heading up a couple ladders. Once we head up the second ladder we'll have a platform that'll appear to jump onto to get to another ladder. When we get up there we'll have ac ouple of Press to get by before continuing onward. Once past them head up the ladder to the next section. When we do we'll have a Kaminari Goro to dispose of before getting to another ladder. Up the ladder as tehre'll be another Kaminari Goro and jump onto where it was to get to another ladder. Once again up another ladder and another Kaminari Goro to dispose of but we'll have a Pipi that'll come in from the left so watch out. Head over to the other ladder via the platform that the Kaminari Goro was on. In the next section we'll have a couple Scworms here. The one that's on a higher platform is easy avoidable as we can deal with the one on the bottom with a Metal Blade. Not far after we do we'll reach the boss gate and time to face off against Wily. o----------------------------------o | Boss Information | |----------------------------------| | Boss: | Wily Machine II | | | [Part One] | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | --- | | Weakness: | Sakugame | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Jumping | o----------------------------------o The first form of the Wily Machine we have to deal with. While he'll send out a couple attacks which shouldn't be too hard to avoid before jumping as we can slide to get out of the way when he jumps. We want to hit where we can see him sitting inside of it. While this one is weak againsg Sakugame as we'll just use the Mega Buster for this fight. Shouldn't take too long once getting his pattern down. Once we get past this one it's not going to be over just yet. o----------------------------------o | Boss Information | |----------------------------------| | Boss: | Wily Machine II | | | [Part Two] | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | --- | | Weakness: | Sakugame | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Energy Orbs | o----------------------------------o Now comes the second form of fighting against the Wily Machine after draining his health down to halfway or so. While for the most part it'll be nearly the same attacks from befor except for one but will add a new attac. He'll be firing orbs at you. Best thing to do if you really want to do damage to him quick is by bringing out Rush Jet and be far enough to keep doing damage to him. Watch out for when he fires the orbs and dodge them as best as you can as he rolls back and forth. Once he gets odwn to halfway to three quarters of health it'll be time for another part of the battle. o----------------------------------o | Boss Information | |----------------------------------| | Boss: | Wily Machine II | | | [Part Three] | | HP: | 19 | | DWN: | --- | | Weakness: | Sakugame | | Weapon Get: | ---- | | Item Get: | ---- | | Attack(s): | Missiles | | | Bombs | o----------------------------------o Like the previous two times we'll want to aim for where we can see him sitting. Watch out for the missle along with the bombs that'll come from the machine that'll go in the air then drop. We should be able to jump or slide under the missles. Shouldn't be too hard to dodge those attacks and be able to do damage to him even using the Mega Buster. Dodging those attacks as he should be able to go down for the count for good after this part of the battle as we have beat Mega Man II. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 4.
