This FAQ will guide you through the levels, obstacles, and other miscellaneous information throughout the game. ********************** 2) GAMEPLAY ********************** In Frogger, the object is to maneuver five rendered frogs from the bottom end of the screen, throughout five lanes of automobile traffic, a free bar, and five currents of floating logs and lily pads to a safe haven on the top of the screen. However, each frog must make the journey in approximately thirty seconds before the frog is killed. The player is given four chances, or "lives" to start the game with. To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to gain an extra "life." There are (to the best of my knowledge) five repeating levels throughout the game. Three slow cars -2SC-> - Two slow cars -SC-> - Slow car -ST-> - Slow truck SSS - Start ********************** 5) TIPS AND TRICKS ********************** 1) If you fill up the goal spaces the opposite way that the top row of logs runs, that should make the game easier for you, in case you lose a lot of lives. 2) Brown lily pads are permanent, but blue lily pads are only temporary. Try to stay off blue lily pads unless it is imperative you have to use them. Also, brown lily pads will never turn back into blue lily pads, but blue lily pads will turn into brown lily pads. Once they turn brown, they will not turn back to blue. 3) My personal best score for this is 1328.
