I VAGUELY remember the movie when I was a kid. I don't recall it being any good, I remember that much. There were a bunch of sequels though, so maybe it was good. Meh, not that it matters much. There was also a cartoon series that my friend tells me was pretty good. This is also an effort to help out the GameBoy FAQ Completion Project located at Gamefaqs.com, which is a project designed to have a FAQ for every gameboy game released. Also, this guide was written rather quickly and probably won't see any updates barring any HUGE piece of info I missed, which is doubtful. Go figure. At least we have a reporter to tell us. Controls: "B": Jump "A": Kick Select: Ride Skateboard Start: Throw Sword/Use Parachute (While Jumping) Note that you can jump pretty darn high. Also note that your kick is pretty pathetic. There are several items that you can collect for points as you play. I'm REALLY not concerned about the points as much as I am getting you through the game, so feel free to explore. BUT... don't dilly dally too much, as you are being timed! The most IMPORTANT thing to collect is the TOMATO CAN! You can't even get to the next stage without collecting this item, so it's ALL IMPORTENT! They even hide it sometimes. Besides that, you can also find swords to throw and a lightning bolt, which makes you invincible for a few seconds. The sword throw is actually best saved for the game's three (3) boss fights. When you squash a tomato, smaller ones will come out. You can actually collect these. You'll also have a display at the bottom to show you important things, including your lives (hearts), how many hits until you die (medals), small tomatoes collected, swords collected, TOMATO CAN or Parachutes collected, your time remaining, and your score. Also note that you can kick and interact with many things in the game, such as jars/pots/windows... many of them hide points, enemies, or items. Other than that, just follow my instruction to the TOMATO CAN, kill tomatoes, and gather points. That's really all there is to this game. ======== Stage 1: ======== [KT-1] Jump over the gap and approach the boulder pile. One of the boulders here is actually a tomato, so jump on it to kill it. Now you have to break the boulders by kicking them to reach the lower area. There's another tomato in the lower row though! Grab the swords here and continue. The boulder above you has a tomato, so be ready to kick. You can use the limb here to spring yourself upwards (all limbs in this game are essentially trampolines). You can use the clouds to your left to gather a ton of points over there if you wish. Head right and you can try out your first parachute at the top of the ledge. Use it to go down below and head into the samll cavern to the right. In here you can find this stage's TOMATO CAN, as well as a rare 1-up. Head back out and continue to the right. There's a lot of points down the slope. Watch out at the bridge though because it DOES collapse. Also, there's a bird here that you can jump on to kill. Oddly enough, birds release tomatoes as well. Climb down the log to finish the stage. ======== Stage 2: ======== [KT-2] Quickly jump out of the way and kill the tomatoes. The traffic light can make you invincible. Cross the gap and climb up the building, using the poles to jump higher. There's a secret parachute to the left, but it's not needed. Jump to the next building on the right, and grab the lightning bolt. Further on are some clouds. It's tempting to jump high and right, but be sure to visit the ground and backtrack to the left, as the TOMATO CAN is in plain sight. With the can in hand, go up the nearby building, as the exit is at the top. ======== Stage 3: ======== [KT-3] We're in a house now. Be sure to avoid the fans in this area. A tomato pops out of the pot, but you can kick it again for some swords. Go upwards and gather points. As you head right past the tomatoes, take note that the wall to the right can be kicked open for a shortcut. Better than the falling floor below if you ask me (although there is a medal down there if you're desperate). Past the wall shortcut, kill the tomato and kick the garbage can here to find the TOMATO CAN! See, they tried to hide it this time! Move to the right. There's another garbage bin here, and a falling floor, but take note that you can kick THIS wall open too. (Note if you care about points you should be exploring). Past this wall, gather the points and head upwards. A big leap to the right will net a ton of points and some swords in the bin. There's some falling floor up here, but keep heading right and you'll find the exit. ======== Stage 4: ======== [KT-4] We are on the "rooftops" this time. Watch out for the incoming tomato. Use the clouds to get to the roof to the right. You can find a medal down below in a window if you need it. Use the clouds to go right up go to the LOWEST PART of this building, as the TOMATO CAN is hidden in the bottom, right-most window. Be careful, the floors here can fall out. Keep heading right, gathering points as the exit is a short way away. overall this is a very short level. ======== Stage 5: ======== [KT-5] We're going into a dungeon this time, and we'll have to fight our first boss. Fun. Move forward and grab the swords. Tomatos will come out of these pots. Go forward and kill the bird as well. You want to head to the far left, then jump up to the top area and head right. This takes you to a NEW screen. Here, you can grab the skulls, but go down and you'll see the doctor come out and grow a HUGE tomato. Time to fight this thing. Generally, this thing just jumps around and spits out projectiles from both sides. You need to either jump on him or throw swords into him. Either of those things will kill him in about five hits. You can pull off several jumps on him in a row if you try and have good timing. Pretty easy fight, actually. He'll send out shockwaves after he dies, so jump over them and gather up the TOMATO CAN. Follow where the doctor and you'll end up in a room with points. Drop down to the bottom to finish this stage. ======== Stage 6: ======== [KT-6] Another "air" stage apparently. This first part is just a climb upwards. Use the branches to travel upwards (try not to jump into a tomato) and gather up all the swords. The next area is just one big drop downwards, filled with plenty of points and a lightning bolt to the upper right. Collect as long as you want, but fall down on the far right when your done. Head across the moving cloud to the left to find the TOMATO CAN, then head back to the right to end this short stage. ======== Stage 7: ======== [KT-7] Another street level. Grab the swords and go up the ladder. It's pretty hard not to get hit by this tomato. Just take it if you have to. Use the pole to get higher. Watch out for tomatoes falling down. There's a cloud moving up and down to the right where you can rack up points, as well as a ton of points on the roof here. Further on there's a bunch of clouds to jump on. Be careful to stay in the air, as there's a sizeable gap underneath you. At the end of the ride is the stage's exit, with a TOMATO CAN sitting right there for you. Heh, not a very good tomato can spot, but it works for me. ======== Stage 8: ======== [KT-8] **The most important thing about this stage is you HAVE to be FAST** Inside the house again. Jump over the tomato-stomping machine and be careful of various tomatos jumping out of pots. Head up and grab the medal, then head to the left gathering items on the way. The nook above you to the very left has a couple of medals. Head right now (like you have a choice) and gather even more points. The bottom two shelves to the right have a middle tile that will launch you upwards. Head to the left again. In the top left corner here is a garbage bin. Kick it to find the stages TOMATO CAN. The exit is a SHORT walk to the right from here. ======== Stage 9: ======== [KT-9] Time for another dungeon. Head to the left, killing along the way. At your first drop you can kick in the wall to reach a cauldron with a medal. There's a medal in the outside one too. Head to the right and fall down when you can to the bottom. There's a lightning bolt here. Grab it and head right. Use the ledges here to get up and head left, falling down the hole when you can to go to a new screen. Here the doctore will come out and you'll have to do the SAME FIGHT that you did in stage five. The middle platform here is EXCELLENT as you can drop off of it and hit the big tomato easily. Heck, sometimes it just jumps into your feet for you. After you kill it, it will TRANSFORM into a second form. This form shoots out sound waves and also shoots out a squiggly line. Use the same tactics and kill the second form as well, which will drop a TOMATO CAN for you. Take the exit the doctor used and end the stage. ========= Stage 10: ========= [KT-10] Back to the streets with us. Jump to the building on the right. There's a medal in the lower window. Go to the next building (another medal in the windows) and head right to a bunch of clouds. There's nothing underneath you, so be careful! Get onto the roof of the next area and as you proceed you'll see the TOMATO CAN under you. There's three tiles in this area that drop down, so use the right one to reach it. Keep heading right past the 3-4 houses that are left (using a ladder at one point) and soon you'll see the "Exit" sign. On to the next level. ========= Stage 11: ========= [KT-11] Another dungeon area. Drop down the big gap and head to the right. You'll have to fight plenty of tomatoes as you go on. At the end of this part there's a medal, so grab it and head up and over to continue. Go down the narrow gap and head up and to the left. There's various medals to grab along the way if you can time your jumps. Head all the way to the left and use the miscolored block to bounce upwards. You'll be on the top now, so just head to the right to reach another screen. Here, as you can probably guess, you'll have another boss battle. Also note that the lower platform here will disappear when you stand on it. You'll fight THE SAME fight that you fought in stage nine. And by that I mean you will fight the first form, and then it will TRANSFORM into the second form that you fought. Kill those two and it will TRANSFORM yet again into a third form. This third form will shoot out small flashing tomatoes. These things are pretty easy to avoid, but do note that they BOUNCE back to the other direction when they hit something. That's really all this final boss has. He likes to move a bit more than the other two though. Jump on his head like usual and be sure to chuck all your swords (you may as well, this is the last fight). Soon you'll be victorious, so head to the right where the end of the game will be announced to you. That is followed by a portrait.
