Gintoki has naturally permed hair and often blames his lacking love-life on it. He rides a scooter and has a bokuto instead of a sword. Gintoki is a freelancer and will do anything for money. He also has a sweet-tooth. In the past, he was a Joi (someone who drove off the Amanto to protect the government). He and Katsura Kotaro are the only mentioned survivors from the Joi. The only reason Gintoki does not join Katsura again to fight the aliens is that he does not like to fight alongside "gloomy terrorists". ================ 4.Why Gintoki? ================ Gintoki has alot of unexpected moves which varys from close and long range. But the main thing he is the best at is putting constant pressure on his opponent and playing a good keep away game. But he does have very short and damaging combos without the help of support komas. COMBO #1 -------- First do a Neutral B then do a Forward+B then finally do a Neutral+B. This combo is short but has good damage, especially on the last hit. COMBO #2 -------- First do a Neutral B then do a Up+B then finally do a Neutral+B. Just like the first one good and damaging. COMBO #3 -------- ( Only with 5 Koma ) First off start with his neutral B then after that do a forward+B ( Can be replaced with up+b. ) This is a basic combo starter. After the second hit press Neutral+Y to make Gintoki hit his opponent with some wood then instantly after that do his Special A. This combo is easy, fast and does a lot of damage and has a possiblity of a ring out. WILL UPDATE WITH MORE COMBOS ASAP ( Just need to train with him some more ) -------- For Gintoki you want a support with long/mid range, since he is all about pressure. Here are some komas that are good. 2 Koma Shishio ( Rurouni Kenshin ): Since Shishio comes out really fast this is a good support. But whats more impressive is that when Shishio grabs his opponent he raises them up first which gives you a quick time to get in more extra hits. 3 Koma Trunks ( Dragonball Z ): Yes, Yes we all know how cheap he can be but its for comboing. Comes out quick, great damage, really hard to counter and aerial. 3 Koma Seiya ( Saint Seiya ): Same as Trunks really cheap but for comboing. Comes out quick, great damage, really hard to counter and aerial. 3 Koma Hitsugaya ( Bleach ): Since Hitsugaya freezes them Gintoki can use some of his more lag specials. 3 Koma Sena ( Eyeshield 21 ): Stops movement and drains SP really good. 2 Koma Satsuki ( Ichigo 100% ): Using this with Gintoki's Special B on his 5 koma gives him a lot of health. 3 Koma Gotenks ( Dragonball Z ): Comes out in the air and can be used in the air Gotenks will shoot a barrage of energy blast in a downward angle. Good for keeping distance and ringouts. There are tons more komas but these I think are the best choices -------- Overall+Strategy: Gintoki's one weakness is lacking combos. He makes this up by being able to put constant pressure on his opponents. People against him will soon begin to be annoyed by him. He has some good specials but most of them are good in multiplayer. Also Gintoki can heal himself which is alwas a plus. So basically keep away from your opponent and start throwing his bokuto, bombs and mini bombs. Occasionally get in close for some quick hits then high-tail it out of there and use long range komas. And try to quickly kill them by putting constant pressure.
