INTRODUCTION ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is similar to ManlyChik's Bomberman Land Touch! 2 WiFi Scoring Guide because I AM MANLYCHIK. After a WiFi match, you will be taken to a 'Results' screen. You have 60 seconds to look over this Results screen. On the top screen, each player, standings, and total scores will be shown in a chart. On the bottom screen, your 'Bomber Rating', a 'Breakdown' button, and 'OK' button, are shown. Pressing 'Breakdown' will display how your score, that will be added to your 'Bomber Rating', was calculated. The following is a simple guide showing the possible outcomes displayed when you press 'Breakdown'. The point system is actually quite different from the WiFi systems and scoring systems of Bomberman Land Touch! 2 and Bomberman Stody DS. There are much more negative scores, whereas in previous versions, you always got a positive score unless defeated multiple times. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2. HOW TO USE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The chart is quite simple. On the right-hand side under 'Action' will be the certain tasks that you can accomplish during a 'Bomber Battle'. On the left- hand side under 'Points' will be the number of points you gain, or lose, from its corresponding 'Action' to the right of it. If there is a "(x1)" next to an 'Action' , then the number of points you gain from that task will vary depending on how many times you have performed that task. For example, "Defeated Somebody (x1) 20" is displayed below. So, if you defeat someone, you gain 20 points. If you defeat another person or the same person again, you gain 40 points and so forth. What is displayed below is how many points you gain from accomplishing an 'Action' once. After the chart, there will be a descriptions section. That will briefly describe how to accomplish each 'Action'. NOTE: If the number under Points does not have a + or - sign next to it (to the left of it), that score is from the older WiFi system's scoring system, and thus may not be accurate with Bomberman 2's WiFi scoring system. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3. TIPS/STRATEGIES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Some obvious yet useful tips to get higher scores. ITEMS = POWER. Having 2 points apiece for every item, all items are good if you want a high score. This includes all power-downs, stars, and the skull is even a bonus. Besides points though, items give you options. More firepower and bombs will help you take on the other bomber and reveal more items. Some speed can help you get away from another bomber, and kick bomb is always a lifesaver. DEFEAT YOUR OPPONENT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. This links with getting as many items as you can. The more items, the more advantage you have of killing your opponent and getting a higher score. Not sure if there's a name for it, but I know of two easy ways to kill people. 1) Run over the other bomber while constantly laying bombs. Hopefully, you'll trap the bomber when he/she is not in an intersection and won't be able to kick the bombs to get out because of all the bombs. o = Had Blocks W = You B = Opponent Bomber @ = Bomb W o o o o o o o o o o @@@B@@@ o o o o o o o o o o 2) Trap the other bomber in a grid-like fashion... o = Had Blocks W = You B = Opponent Bomber @ = Bomb @ o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o W B @ o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o @ @ @ @ @ o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o @ @ @ @ @ @ @ o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o @ @ B W o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o @ It doesn't have to be exactly like above, but as long as you set up your bombs such that no matter where the other bomber goes, he/she will die. This is a more safer, guaranteed method than the first one, but is only recommended if the other bomber does not have Kick Bomb. BEING DEFEATED > SUICIDE. When someone has trapped you and your death is imminent, do not place another bomb such that your own bomb will kill you instead of the other bomber's bomb. Take the hit. The difference is a whole -20 points. No one likes to earn negative score after the match. TAKE YOUR TIME. Mainly in Crown. Once the other bomber dies, he cannot revive through revenge. So get all the items, all the skulls, kick a bomb, throw a bomb, and if you wanna make the other player mad, wait until the last 10 seconds. AVOID BOMBS. One cannot stress this enough. The winner is the last one standing, not the one who kills the other. Most players tend to die trying to pursue the other bomber. You still want to go on the offense by attacking and trying to hinder the other bomber from getting more items. But don't let that stop you from getting your own items while avoiding your own bomb's crossfire. This is especially important in Escape stages. Revenge bombs have been upgraded to a blast radius of 2, so watch out. Not only do you have to avoid your bombs' blast radii, but stay away 2 spaces away from them. In this new WiFi Scoring System, Hudson has made it so the survivor is almost always the winner, and the loser almost always gets a negative score. So if you think you're gonna draw or die, don't suicide! It is now worth -200 points! The most points that can be subtracted from your score! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 6. SUGGESTIONS/CORRECTIONS/CONTRIBUTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The chart above is obviously not 100% accurate, but I would say maybe 90% accurate. Some of the descriptions may be very vague, but most of them are self-explanatory. There may be an 'Action' I have not accomplished yet.
