Although this port is heavily edited from the Arcade version due to the hardware limitations, it's still enjoyable to the old school nostalgia fans. The game also features a 2 player copo on the same screen. | Ports | This port is missing the stage music but has a local copo mode and all three characters to choose from. The graphics were downgraded from the arcade/SNES version due to the system's limitations. You can also enable cheat codes directly from the start like infinite life and skipping stages. The game was ported to many platforms up to IOS in 2011. The best port is arguably Final Fight One for the Gameboy Advance as it includes the Industrial Area stage as well as Street Fighter Alpha version of Guy and Cody and other extras. Since this port comes on a commodore floppy, the load times are kinda long for an older games where no loading were presented at all. As a result, sometimes the game would crash when loading as well as the floppy disk itself fail due to time and treatment. A tape version is also available and is more common to find. List of Ports: . Final Fight - SNES . Final Fight Guy - SNES . Final Fight - Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC . Final Fight - Sharp X68000 (Japan) . Final Fight CD - SEGA CD . Final Fight One - Gameboy Advance . Final Fight - IOS Other ports: Capcom Classics Collection, Final Fight: Streetwise and Final Fight: Double Impact. =============================================================================== | 3. The Basics | The object of the game is very simple, move forward while smashing enemies and picking power ups along the way. A basic side scroller. There are two stage where you have to destroy objects instead of fighting people. One of them is destroying a car before the timer runs out as in Street fighter 2 while the other is moving forward destroying boards. Both of the stages are playable via copo as well as single player. | Options | Upon loading the game Disk, you will be presented with a few options that you can turn on and off. These options are more of a cheat than options as they help make the game easier. For a true challenge and arcade feel, make sure to keep them all off. . Do you wanna kill the punks with 1 hit? (If yes then be sure to turn on life+!) . F1 - Unlimited Lives : NO/YES . F3 - Unlimited Credit: NO/YES . F5 - Unlimited Time: No/YES . F7 - Smash Away!! - To start the game. =============================================================================== | Controls | The controls are very simple and straightforward. Walk up | Walk Left - O - Walk Right | Walk Down Actions: Grab: Walk into the enemy. Throw: After walking into an enemy, turn left or right. Punch: Punch enemies. Jump Kick: Jump and hit the punch key to kick in air. You can use the Sega Genesis controller out of the box without any modifications as the controller port fits and buttons work directly. I highly recommend playing this and other commodore 64 games using this controller as its comfortable to hold and play with. Even the Genesis's Arcade Stick works fine although the 3DO controller is not compatible eve though it has the same port. =============================================================================== | Characters | There are three characters to choose from: GUY: Guy Birthdate August 12, Birthplace 22px-Flag of the United States svg United States of America Height 180cm (5'11") Weight 72kg (158 lbs) Blood Type O Likes Sporty sneakers, salmon Ochazuke, meditation, herbal tea, cold tofu, training, cultivating bonsai Dislikes Ibuki's lazy personality, M.Bison, Shadaloo, Mad Gear Gang, evil of any kind, Satsui no Hadou Measurements (Bust, Waist, Hip) 108cm (42"), 77cm (30"), 82cm (32") Fighting Style Bushinryu Ninjutsu CODY: Cody Travers Birthdate April 18, 1967 Birthplace 22px-Flag of the United States svg United States of America Height 6' 1" (185 cm) Weight 176 lbs (80 kg) Blood Type O Likes Starting fights, Metro City's Street Meat, Guy, Mike Haggar, Jessica (formerly) Dislikes Haggar's lectures, Mad Gear Gang, boredom, preaches Measurements (Bust, Waist, Hip) 139cm (54"), 86cm (34"), 97cm (38") Fighting Style Street Fighting (Karate, and Boxing) HAGGAR: Mike Haggar Birthdate September 3, 1943 Birthplace 22px-Flag of the United States svg United States of America Height 202cm (6'7") Weight 140kg (309 lbs.) Most of them have similar bar power with the exception of the big guys and the final boss who shoots at you. There is a bandit type who throws knives at you as well. All enemies handle the same with jump kick is the best strategy. Power Ups range from weapons that can be used to a limit to health regenerators. Some environment obstacles can be broken to obtain a hidden pickup. =============================================================================== | Stages | The basic of each stage is to get from the start to its finish killing everyone in your path collecting powerups and not running out of lives. There are three exceptions. 1. Car smash stage Similar to Street Fighter’s car smash. You have to destroy a car within a time limit. 2. Advertisement Boards smash stage. Same as the car stage except you will need to move forward smashing boards on your way. 3. Mini Boss A wrestling ring stage where you fight one enemy and no one else. Another stage is the Elevator. You fight people as the elevator keeps going up with Rolento from Street Fighter Alpha as a boss at the end. =============================================================================== | 4.
