Also, remember that this list only covers moves unique to each character. I. Jose II. Ryno III. Roger IV. Straw ----------------------------------------------------- I. Jose Fire Kick - Press Jump while holding down Attack Jose crouches, then launches into a flying kick (with his foot on fire). It has a range of about 3/4 of the screen. Meteo - In midair, press Backword, Forward and Attack simultaneously OR in midair, press Forward, Backward and Attack simultaneously Jose poses, then several flaming rocks circle around above him. These rocks float down (while still circling), hitting all enemies within almost 1/2 of the screen of Jose. Then the rocks float back up, Jose makes a downward throwing motion, and the rocks crash down. This taijutsu deals good damage, like the rest. This move takes away about 1/3 of your life bar if it hits an enemy. Also, if your lifebar is in the red and flashing, you cannot perform this move. Berserk - While grabbing an enemy, press Attack and Jump simultaneously Jose strikes rapidly at the enemy he is holding multiple times. Then he somersaults and hits the enemy with an overhead smash, setting it on fire. Jose finishes off with a jump kick. This move deals great damage to a single enemy, perfect for bosses if you can grab them. Like his regular desperation attack, this move takes away about 1/7 of your life bar. However, UNLIKE the regular desperation move and Meteo, you CAN perform this even if you only have one pixel of life left. Note that although the combo itself only effects a single enemy, the final explosion does effect any enemy within range. Also, other players CAN knock an enemy out of range of your Berserk, but you will still be flailing away. Berserk (non self-damage version) - While running, hit Backward and Jump simultaneously ----------------------------------------------------- II. Ryno Helicopter Drop - Press Jump while holding down Attack Ryno leaps forward while spinning his bats above his head. If an enemy makes contact with his legs, Ryno will grab the enemy with his legs and drive him to the floor when falling down. The range of the jump appears to be about 2/5 of the screen. When driving an enemy into the floor, it CAN hit other enemies. Note that this move CAN be interrupted, and if it is, the enemy does NOT take any damage. Thunderstrike - In midair, press Backward, Forward and Attack simultaneously OR in midair, Forward, Backward and Attack simultaneously Ryno jumps into the air with lightning sparks on his bats and feet. Then he bounces around the screen with lightning bolts coming down from the sky. His landing place seems random. This move takes away about 1/3 of your lifebar if it hits an enemy. Also, if your lifebar is in the red and flashing, you cannot perform this move. Impressive range, looks like it effects the whole screen. Thunderfall - While grabbing an enemy, press Attack and Jump simultaneously Ryno jumps straight up, and launches several sparks at the enemy he was holding. Then he stomps the enemy a couple of times, with lightning bolts hitting from above for each stomp (this happens very quickly). Ryno finishes with a dive toward where the enemy was. This move takes away about 1/7 of your lifebar. Like Jose's Berserk, this move CAN be performed with ANY amount of life left in your lifebar. Enemies in range of the lightning sparks DO get hit. Thunderfall (non self-damage version) - In midair, press Up then Down and Attack simultaneously ----------------------------------------------------- III. Roger Gut Smash - Press Jump while holding Attack Roger hops forward, bumping enemies with his stomach. Very limited range, but good power. Each hit of this does more damage than a hit from Jose's Fire Kick. The lag after this move is less than Jose's Fire Kick. Volcano Breaker - In midair, press Backward, Forward and Attack simultaneously OR in midair, Forward, Backward and Attack simultaneously Roger jumps into the air and floats for a second, with his hands glowing blue. Then he falls to the ground and punches the floor 5 times, alternating between the left and right hand (HIS right hand hits the floor 3 times). Four small volcanoes burst out of the floor, 2 on the far ends of the lower half of the screen and 2 near the center of the upper half of the screen. Each volcano fires 2 large beams up into the air (looks like one beam, but you'll see the volcanoes make 2 shooting animations). It looks like this hits all enemies on the screen. This move takes away about 1/3 of your lifebar if it hits an enemy. Also, if your lifebar is in the red and flashing, you cannot perform this move. Grand Driver - While grabbing an enemy, press Attack and Jump simultaneously Roger slams the enemy around left and right 4 times, then leaps high into the air. He then piledrives the enemy into the ground. Surrounding enemies DO get hit by this move if Roger slams the enemy he was holding into them. Like the other grab specials, this move takes away about 1/7 of your lifebar, can be performed with any amount of life left, and deals fantastic damage to a single target. Grand Driver (non self-damage version) - Press Forward, Down, Backward, Up, then Forward and Jump simultaneously Squish - In midair, press Attack while holding Down This isn't really a special move, but I'm including this cause its effect is funny. Roger falls toward the floor with his body spread out while facing downward. This flattens any regular enemy it hits if it doesn't kill them. ----------------------------------------------------- IV. Straw Power Thrust - Press Jump while holding down Attack Straw thrusts his bat forward, with circular energy waves around it. It has a range of about 40% of the screen. Apparently it has the same power as Jose's Fire Kick Water Dragon Bullet - In midair, press Backward, Forward and Attack simultaneously OR in midair, Forward, Backward and Attack simultaneously Straw poses in midair (my favorite pose) as a water dragon crashes down from above, in the upper right corner. The dragon then bounces around in the room, from right to left in the upper half of the screen, then left to right in the lower half of the screen. This hits all enemies on the screen. This move takes away about 1/3 of your lifebar if it hits an enemy. Also, if your lifebar is in the red and flashing, you cannot perform this move. Dynamite Boost - On the ground, Half Circle Forward and press Jump Straw leaps forward. If he makes contact with an enemy, he starts thrusting his bat down at the enemy for multiple hits, then he throws down some dynamite. The leap has a maximum distance of about 3/4 of the screen. Note that if an enemy is next to Straw, it will NOT be hit by this move. Good damage, this is basically equivalent to a grab special...Note that enemies CAN get knocked out of this move by another player Dynamite Buster - While grabbing an enemy, press Attack and Jump simultaneously Straw hops and starts thrusting his bat down at the enemy for multiple hits, and then he throws down some dynamite. This is practically the same as Dynamite Boost :P. However, the two major differences are that Buster can only be done while grabbing an enemy, and that Buster takes away about 1/7 of your lifebar while Boost does NOT use up any life. ----------------------------------------------------- A shoutout to my friends at Shining Force Central: Thank you all for playing this great game with me over Kaillera! http://www.shiningforcecentral.com/ Thanks to Richter for telling me how to perform the grab specials for Jose, Ryno, and Roger without having to grab an enemy first. ----------------------------------------------------- Ninja Baseball Batman Move List v.1.00 Copyright 2003 Saradin (saradin@swirvemail.com) -----------------------------------------------------
