Introduction [NTR] =============================================================================== Metal Slug X is a sidescrolling action game similar to the late action games. You now start the game by selecting 1 of the four main characters, Marco Rossi, Eri Kasamoto, Tarma Roving, and Fiolina Germi. It does'nt matter which one you choose because all of them does'nt have any special abilities that can enhance your gameplay, the only difference is their sprite. Droid Slug ========== Life = 3 Metal Slug Attack = Yes Jump = High Speed = Slow Grenades / Missile = Dropping Grenades Description = Robot-like slug with double weapons. Advantages = High jumping ability = Cannon spreads flame when hits the ground. = Cannot be hit by rolling bombs. Disadvantages = Weapons are dismounted when hit. = Very slow acceleration speed. Flyer Slug ========== Life = 3 Metal Slug Attack = Yes Jump = No Speed = Fast Grenades / Missile = Missiles Description = Rides on a flying slug. Advantages = Can quickly evade attacks. = Tank slug can ride on its top. Disadvantages = Weapons cannot fire backwards. Tank Slug ========= Life = 3 Metal Slug Attack = Yes Jump = Low Speed = Moderate Grenades / Missile = Cannons / A.P. Description = Rides on a land traveling slug. Advantages = Ducking ability. = Crawling ability. = Can shoot in all direction. = Can hit soldiers while moving. Disadvantages = Cannon drops at medium range. =============================================================================== VI. Tips [TPS] =============================================================================== - Shooting a soldier with your pistol will give you 100 points but, stabbing them with a knife can score 500 points. - A pack of banana breaks into three if it hits the ground. With perfect timing, sometimes you can still get 100 ponits even if it hits the ground plus 10 to 30 points for the single bananas. - Kill the mummies by crawling below them and attack them in close range, you will not get hit by the purple smoke and it will save your ammunition. Don't do this if the mummy spits flies. - Picking up the Magic Lamp will give you 10 points. Waiting for the genie will give you several coins. - Picking a weapon while in Mummy condition won't have any effect thus, it will give you 1000 points. - At the start of Mission 3, you will see a soldier on a chair and is relaxing, kill this soldier and stab him repeatedly to make it drop an item. - While fighting the Sub-Boss in Mission 3, you can acquire weapons by waiting a tank to fall. While the tank is in mid-air, throw a grenade. Weapons rarely appear. - After defeating the Sub-Boss in Mission 3, it will land for a moment, jump at the center for an initial points when the coins are appearing. - Gas can refill a slug's energy meter. When using a slug, no points are given, 1000 points are given if not riding on a slug, and if a slug's energy meter is full, no effect and score will occur. - To acquire the items inside the parachute in Mission 6, after the first two parachutes with items landed, the third parachute will land with soldiers on it. Quickly jump at the third parachute up to the second platform. Killing the soldiers will automatically move your character to the final boss. =============================================================================== VII.
