Its best renditions have definitely been the versions seen on the arcades though. And The Revenge of Death Adder is the crown of the series -- And in my opinion, the crown of arcade games as well as all console games in similair genres. However, like most Arcade games, it was built with a timebomb-esque life span. When arcades stopped stocking it, and moved on to new games, the chance to play this became very hard. Try checking eBay for a machine; Odds are, you won't find one, because I couldn't. However, thanks to the extremely skillful and intelligent creators of the "Modeler" System 32 Arcade emulator, it has become easy for people to play this game on Windows, Macs, or even Linux. The link to this emulator -- and not the roms, as giving that information would be illegal -- is: http://emustatus.rainemu.com/emu.htm ____ ____ / __) ____ ____ (__ \ ( \__/ ___) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (___ \__/ ) \ /===========================================================\ / / _ \__ 03. Howver, truth be told, if more than 2 percent of the readers of this file are using this guide for an actuall arcade machine, I'll be damned impressed. So, I've decided to list the default controls for Modeler, the emulator I've found most effective for emulating this game. He attacks with a sword, and has a mixture of strength, and speed. Although, he falls in the middle: Weaker than Goah, slower than Trix, and less athletic than Dora, but with average stats all around. Magic: A storm of flames will rush by, and burn all enemies. She's not the fastest or the strongest, but damn, she is quick to attack. If you rapidally press the attack button, she will begin to kick her hooves, in a combo. When riding an animal, she becomes fully human. Magic: Lightning bolts and rocks will be cast around the screen. It targets all enemies, but is quite weak. Don't expect much death. The cost is 4. It can breathe fire, that will torch your enemies alive. It's not as fast or as in-your-face as the black version, but it's slightly stronger. This is the first animal that you'll find in the game. While attacking from the air, you'll be able to punch and do dive kicks. This is one of the weaker animals though. Locations: Scene 1, Scene 3, Scene 5 Black Mantis ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This version of the Mantis is a fighter. It doesn't have fire breath, but it does pack a whole lot of punches -- at high speeds. You'll also be able to grapple enemies, and bite them, as well as stab them with your pincers. This mantis attacks with it's claws and mouth whether on ground or in the air. Locations: Scene 2 (Cave), Scene 2 (Forest), Scene 5 Blue Scorpion ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Blue Scorpion was a favorite from the people in the arcade, back where I used to play. It's very flashy. You will sting people, and electrocute them -- Usually killing them, while causing them to light up like a christmas tree. You'll find this for the first time in scene one, but further ahead from where the Green Mantis was. While attacking from the air, the Scorpion will use its claws to attack. Locations: Scene 1, Scene 2 (Cave), Scene 3 Gold Scorpion ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Gold Scorpion is a fighting version of the regular Scorpion. It doesn't have an electric stinger to stun your enemies, but punches from those huge claws will do some damage. When performing a combo, the Scorpion will use it's stinger to either pierce it's enemies, or toss them over the shoulder. As mentioned though, there's no electrocuting. Locations: Scene 2 (Forest) Bone Dragon ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the skeleton of a winged dragon. And although it can't fly, it can spit balls of fire, which explode after hitting the ground, and are quite dangerous. It's kind of hard to aim properly, but any enemies that you do hit, are sure to be sorry later. Each character has a different number required to cast their spells (For example, Dora needs only 4, while Stern needs 9.) You can pick these up with the attack button, and a vial will be added to your total. If you come across a blue gnome in your travels, each time you hit it, it will drop one of these. Drumstick ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a piece of meat that will restore one third of your health. Often times, you'll come across a green gnome. If you are able to nail a hit on it, sometimes it will drop a drum stick. Pot Roast ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Like the drum stick, this is a piece of meat that will restore some of your health. This one, however, restore more health than the Drumstick. Similar to the drum stick, it can be found by beating on an innocent green gnome. Bundle of Apples ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trix's magic causes a tree to grow, and drop a bundle of apples. It has the same affect as the Drumstick: It restores approximately one-third of your health bar. Catapult ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- First found in the first scene, you can use these catapults to hurl rocks at your enemies. Normally, you have to mount the catapult to use it, and thus, you'll be unable to move. However, if you pick it up while riding an animal, such as a Mantis, you'll be able to carry it around, making it twice as effective. There's a variation, that shoots flaming balls. That one does more damage. Spear Gun ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a mounted weapon, like the catapult, except this one tosses spears. They are more deadful then stones, but not as strong as flaming stones. Like the catapult, you can carry them around when riding an animal such as the Mantis. There are variants which shoot arrows instead, and yet another variant which shoots three arrows at a time. Treasure ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Piles of treasure grant you extra points, which will help you make the top of the high score lists. However, be careful, because they often conceal piles of bones, which will turn into skeleton enemies if you approach. Some pile of treasures appear only as a golden crown. Grapes ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Grapes are found only in the forest (both growing on trees, and laying on the ground.) They restore health, but only a tiny bit: About one sixth or so. Thankfully, you'll be able to find them in groups, so that they are actually useful. ____ ____ / __) ____ ____ (__ \ ( \__/ ___) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (___ \__/ ) \ /===========================================================\ / / _ \__ 07. Fight your way forward, and the numbers will increase slightly. Hack your way through them until you reach a bandit that's whipping a girl on the ground. Kill him to free the girl, causing her to drop a blue vial. Pick up the blue vial, but be careful. By this time, more bandits will be surrounding you, including one on a Green Mantis. That guy's no jokes, and the fire that it breathes will take two-thirds of your health off, with just one hit! Hit him once to knock him off of the Mantis, then hop on it yourself. Torch his body, then jump up to the next platform, with the waterfalls in front of it. There, you'll see a few enemies sitting on the ground talking. Before they even get up, scorch both of them. Then, once they're out of the way, keep walking forward, until an enemy jumps out of the water below the platform. Approach him carefully, as he'll toss his spear at you, then burn him. You will have another two spear-throwers to take care of afterwards. And if this is your first time playing, expect to get hit once in a while; It happens. What you need to know, though, is that if you get hit while riding on an animal, you'll fall off. Get knocked off three times, and the animal will run away. That being said, keep heading to the right, with or without the Mantis, until you see a collection of barrells on the ground. Before jumping down to them, wait a bit. A gnome will jump out from behind them, and attempt to run past you. Hit him a few times if you can -- Each hit will cause him to drop a blue vial! After beating him up a bit, jump to the ground and destroy the barrells. Each one contains another blue vial. After collecting the set of them, head further to the right, and kill off the bandits in black that attack you. After that, you'll see a statue, a catapult, and another guard whipping a prisoner. Beat up these guards, and destroy the statue if you wish, but don't touch the Catapult yet. Once the path is cleared, head further to the right. .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Boss: Warrior Woman | |----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | A warrior woman who's eating, will jump up, and lose it when you approach. | | If you stil have the Mantis, pick up the Catapult, and carry it around, | | shooting her. If not, just grab it, and shoot all of the stones immediately| | reguardless of whether they'll hit or not. After that, get in the warrior's| | face, and attack until she falls down. When that happens, back up. Wait | | for her to stand, and one of two things will happen. She'll roar, or she'll| | stand their panting. If she's panting, and you still have the Mantis, give | | her a blast of fire. If you've lost the mantis, just attack-combo her. If | | she roars just step back, and do a jumping attack by double-tapping forward| | and pressing attack. This should knock her down again. Just repeat the | | pattern until she's dead. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' After the fight ends, the cage in front of you will roll away, opening the path to the north. Walk upwards, towards the end of the path, where you'll see a short, fat, green gnome. Hit him, and he'll drop a drumstick, which will restore about a third of your health. After picking it up, head to the right, and take out a few more bandits as you near a fence of spears. Hack the spears down, to make an entrance into the enemy camp, then walk forward. Several bandits will come out of the tent nearby, so be ready to kill them once they step out. Then, with them out of the way, focus on the bandits sitting around the fire. When they're gone as well, pull the rope on the cage against the top of the screen to release some prisoners. They'll drop a blue vial on the way out. After picking up the vial, head further to the right, to where there are more women in chains. Defeat the enemies that are crowding around them, then hack the chains, to free them. Like previous prisoners, they'll give you a blue vial upon being rescued. Step ahead a few more steps, and you'll have another crowd of bandits to face. Kill them off, and two more blue gnomes will run by. Try and hit them for some blue vials, then pull the rope on the tent in front of you, to release the bandit leader. .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Boss: Bandit Leader | |----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | The first thing you have to know, is that a single bandit, riding a Blue | | Scorpion will acompany the bandit leader to this fight. He'll walk in from | | the right side of the screen, so make sure he's all the way on before you | | attack him; Other wise you can't steal his scorpion! Use any attack magic | | you have -- This won't apply if your Trix, obviously -- at the start, then | | get on the Scorpion. This version has an electric stinger. Sting the | | bandit leader, then step away from him, so that you are at an angle below | | where he is. When he gets up, he'll either pant a bit, or immediately do a | | charge. If he pants, sting him again. If he charges, he'll miss you: If | | you are standing at an angle, of course. If he does get a charge in, try to| | sting him as he runs by, and if you can't turn, around and sting him after | | he stops. Keep this pattern up until he's dead. If you lose the Scorpion, | | the same tactics will work, except you will *have* to wait until he stops | | charging to get in a hit, if you want to be safe. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' After the fight, the screen will change, and you'll be at a small camp with a blue and a green gnome. This is kind of like a little bonus. You'll have a few seconds to try and hit them both a few times, and pick up what you can get your hands on. Afterwards, you'l be brought to scene 2, which starts out at a fork in the road. You'll either be able to head into a cave, or walk to the east, into the forest. The path that you take decides which of the next to sections of the walkthrough applies for you. .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.---------. | | | Scene 2 - The Trail to the Enemies' Town... (Cave) | [SCN2A] | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'---------' Start by heading to the right, taking out the Cavemen that bother you. You will enter an area covered in darkness, but don't worry about it. Soon you'll come to a torch on the wall, shaped like a dragon. Pull it to turn on the lights, as you continue to take out cavemen. Just past there, you will see a chain on the wall. Pull it to release a prisoner from a cage in the wall. He'll drop a blue vial as he leaves. Pick it up, then head further to the right, where you'll see a few cavemen whipping prisoners. Begin attacking them, but watch out, because soon more will come from the right side of the screen, holding flaming balls. Be sure not to get hit by them, as you continue pressing onward. Some more cavemen will attack from both sides ahead. Some will come bare handed, but a flaming-rock catapult, and a Black Mantis will also appear. Try and take out the enemy riding the Mantis; You'll then be able to beat up enemies using it. You'll even be able to pick up the catapult, and carry it around. Continue moving onward, killing cavemen, as you pull the next two chains on the wall, to release prisoners with blue vials. Don't open the third door (the one with meat behind it) though; It's a trap. Demon tree enemies will come out from behind it. Turn on the torch on the wall, then proceed further. Take out a few more cavemen, then destroy the two stone statues in the room, to reveal a hidden passage. You'll reveal a hidden path, with large stone boulders rolling towards you. Head upward, while being careful to avoid the large rocks, until you reach the end of the path. Then, destroy another two stone statues, to reach a new cavern-type room. There, you'll be heading to the right, fighting demon tree enemies. However, you'll notice that there are lots of stalagtites on the ground, that you'll be able to break. If you break one, pieces will fly off; This will cause one-hit death for the trees. Soon, you will come to an area with a pile of bones on the ground, and a broken wooden bridge on your right. A caveman riding a Blue Scorpion from a head will jump over the bridge, so make sure to take him out and steal the scorpion first. Then, pick up the blue viala that are sitting in the pile of bones, and destroy the treasure chest that's in the same place, to reveal a pile of treasure. Pick it up for some points, then jump across the hole in the wooden bridge; Doing a dash attack works better than a jump, in my opinion. Once across, pull the chain on the wall, to release a skeleton. Kill it by stinging it or punching it out, then pick up the two blue vials on the ground. After that, head to the right once more. There, you'll begin to be attacked by more cavemen. Fight your way past them, into another shadowy area. There are some chains on the wall that you can pull to get a total of four blue vials, but be aware that doing so will release tree demons as well. Just to the right of there, is a torch that you can use. After pulling it, head to the right and break some barrells and a treasure chest for some blue vials and treasure. Afterwards, prepare for more cavemen, including one who will bring in a catapult. Take them out, and head further to the right, to find a pile of bones mixed in with a pile of treasure. Four skeletons will form. Kill them, and you will set up camp in that location. There, you'll have another short mini-game where you attack a black gnome for meat, and blue vials. Use this time to pick up the treasure on the ground as well. .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.---------. | | | Scene 2 - The Trail to the Enemies' Town... (Forest) | [SCN2B] | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'---------' Start, by killing the bandits sleeping by the fire on your right. Then, walk forward and jump down from the path, to the mushrooms below. There, you'll begin to be attacked by tree demons, who will be jumping onto the mushrooms from off of the screen. Fight your way through them, until you reach the edge of the path. There, jump down onto the stone path below where you'll see some buildings. Be ready to strike at three blue gnomes that will come out of a hole in one of the houses, but after that, head to the right and be ready for some more chaos. After a crowd of elves run by, a few cavemen will arrive; One of them will be riding a Black Mantis, which can be stolen, after you knock him down from it. Do so, then make use of it's fighting capabilities, as you punch out all of the cavemen, as you head to your right. Be careful though, as they won't come unprepared. Some will carry flaming bails of hay to through at you, and others will come with Catapults to shoot flaming stones at you. Try to take them out before you take damage. Then, head further on, taking out more Cavemen; And these ones will attack from both sides of the screen. Soon, one Caveman will ride in on a Gold Scorpion. You can take it if you want to trade in your Black Mantis. The Mantis is faster, but the Scorpion is a hell of a lot stronger. If you've already lost the Mantis, make sure to pick this up. Either way, this is the fighting version of the Scorpion -- There's no electric stinger on it. After you take out a few more cavemen, a green gnome will run by. Hit him for some meat, then head up the stairs on your right. You'll have to fight your way through a wooded area, next. Along the way, you'll notice sticks on the ground. Stay on your toes, because as you move, these sticks will begin to rise into the air and transform into tree demons. Fighting your way through them using your Gold Scorpion should be easy though. After that, head to the large tree stump on your right. Pick up the grapes sitting on it, as they restore health, then take a few swings at the one hanging on the tree's branches, to get some more health restoring fruit. From there, jump over the hole in the ground, and get ready to fight a few more tree demons. After that, a large bag will capture you, and drag you off. You'll arrive in the middle of a party of cavemen dancing around a fire. However, the bag will break, and they will stop dancing. If you have the magic, use it to take them all out easily. If not, you'll have to fight your way through them. After they're gone, head to the right, to find some more. You can pull a chain on the cage above you, to release some monsters which will trample over the cavemen, ki9llign a few of them. After that, you'll just have to finish the job, by taking out those that remain. Next, head further onward, and you'll be attacked by Cavemen who arrive wielding flaming bails of hay. After taking them out, move forward a bit more, and destroy the barrells you see, to reveal some treasure. Pick it up, but then be ready to do battle with the skeletons that will form in front of you. After the fight ends, you'll wake up in a camp of elves, with a cooked chicken hopping around in front of you. You can attack it to cause smaller portions of meat to break of, which you can eat to restore some of your health. When the chicken is finished, the scene will end. .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.---------. | | | Scene 3 - Sneak into the Town... | [SCN03] | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'---------' At the start, you'll be ambushed by bandits on all sides. After fighting your way through them, some more will come to the right: With two of them wheeling Arrow guns along. Take out them first, before walking further ahead. Some more bandits will come at this time. Use the arrow guns for some hits on them. Then, prepare for another two guards. One of them will ride in on a Green Mantis. Hijack that, and keep pressing onward. The next two bandits that you run into, will be holding flaming bails of straw. So, be careful to avoid those, as you take them out. After that, you'll come across another Warrior Woman. .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Boss: Warrior Woman II | |----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Unlike the first one that you fought, back in Scene 1, this one isn't busy | | eating, so you don't have the surprise advantage. Still, many of the same | | strategies will apply. Try and burn her (or combo her, if you lose the | | Mantis) then step away from her. Move either above or below where she is, | | since she'll either dash to the left or right, or do a diving kick after | | she gets up. If you step back, you'll safely avoid these attacks. Once she | | has done that, move in to attack again. On occasion, after getting up, she | | will take a quick breath. Use this time to get in a bonus shot. Know, that | | unlike in the first fight though, this Warrior will like to give you some | | combos of her own; So don't idle, just be offensive. Soon, she should die. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' After the fight, a gate on your right will slide open. Walk past it, and you'll find yourself in a town square. There are three merchants in the area; Two with stands, and one sitting on a rug on the ground. What will follow, is a short mini-game of sorts. Meat and blue vials will appear, and dissappear on all three of the stands. While they are visible, you'll be able to hit them, to knock them onto the ground, where you can pick them up. Use this oppurtunity to grab as many items as you can, then move further ahead, to the right, where you'll find some bandits talking. Take them out, and murder the ones that come out of the nearby doorway as well. Head further to the right from there, and take out the remaining bandits on the screen. After you finish them off, the wooden fence near you will shatter, and you'll be in a fight with a Cyclops. .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Boss: Cyclops | |----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | The first thing to note about this fight, is that you're in an alley, and | | you can move upward, as well as left and right. That being said, if you | | walk to the end, you'll find a green gnome, who holds meat that you might | | need to restore your health. As for fighting the Cyclops, his main attacks | | are dashing at you. He likes to run at you, and do a shoulder tackle. He | | also does a modified version of this after getting up off the ground when | | you knock him down: He runs to one side of the screen, turns around, and | | then does the tackle. be wary of this as well, and move away from it. He | | also has the ability to pick you up, and smash you head first against the | | ground. Furthermore, he can also swing his mace, in an electric attack. | | Try not to let him get those attack in at all -- they hurt. Run up and dive| | attack him -- If you still have the Green Mantis, burn him instead -- and | | back off. If he falls down, get ready to dodge his dash. However, if he | | sits on the ground for a minute, just give him another quick beating. If | | he doesn't fall down, get ready to go for another dive attack. Rinse and | | repeat until he goes down; Or, hit him with some magic for an added boost. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' At the end of the fight, walk up the alley, if you haven't already. Then, hit the green gnome and eat the meat he drops (again, if you haven't already.) From there, head to the right, and head into a battle against a group of bandits, including one who's manning an arrow gun. After taking the group of them out, step up to the arrow gun yourself. Some more bandits will then come from both sides of the screen. One of them will even be riding a Blue Scorpion. Shoot arrows at the bandits, until you're out of ammo, then hop onto the Scorpion, and begin electrocuting whoever remains. You can free all of the women in shackles, on the screen, for a total of there blue vials as well. Once doing that, head to the right., and prepare for a series of battles. First, you'll see two Bandit leaders. Don't worry though, you'll only fight one. Hit the red one, who is standing on a woman, and he'll run off, letting the woman escape. Pick up the blue vial she drops, then attack the grey bandit leader, to start a fight. Just fight him the same way you did in the first chapter, to take care of him. After finishing him off, you'll head into the building on the right, auitomatically. There, you'll face a copy of the warrior woman from the first scene. This time, she has a bunch of bandits to help her out though. If you have any, use magic to take out the bandits first, then take her out the same way you did in scene one. Note though, that the red bandit is here too. One hit -- and the magic does count as a hit -- will send him running off again though. Afterwards, you'll head into the next room, where there are some soldiers, and the red bandit again. Hit him once to make him flee, then take out the rest of the enemies. The next room has a real boss. .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Boss: Scythe Wielder | |----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | First of all, hit the red bandit leader who's in the area, to make him run | | off. Then, prepare for a tough battle. To start, use your magic, as it is | | the most effective tactics against this guy. Then, you should be dive | | attacking him, and doing combos. It will take time to bring him down though| | because his armor is pretty damn effective. When you knock him down, try | | to run past him, just as he gets up. Sometimes, this will allow you to | | dodge his counter attack. He can swing his scythe, try to grab and slam | | you, or do a shoulder tackle; He'll switch between the three moves, and he | | is very accurate and quick with the three of them, so expect to be hit at | | least a few times, if you don't have a second player to help you. Also note| | that if you even attempt to attack him when he's getting up, he'll do a new| | attack, where he swings his Scythe in the air, knocking you away; So keep | | your distance. If you combo him, you may get lucky, and make him stunned. | | When this happens, get in as many attacks as possible, before he regains | | his cool. After a bit of a struggle, you should be able to defeat him. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' Once the fight ends, the red bandit will make another appearence. He'll lock you between to steel gates, and the screen will fade. When it opens again, you'll be tied to a rope in the air, and a blue gnome will be running around on the floor below you. Rapidly press buttons to break free from the rope, then hit the blue gnome for a couple of blue vials. The scene will then end. .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.---------. | | | Scene 4 - March Forward to Castle Death-Adder (Gate) | [SCN4A] | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'---------' Start by heading to the right, as you consistently take out the bandits that will be attacking you from the back. After a few moments, you'll reach a pair of sleeping bandits. Kill them, but then immediately turn around. A few more will arrive, wheeling a Catapult along with them; Don't get hit by it. After killing them, grab onto the Catapult, and use it to fire at the next wave of bandits that will come from ahead. Then, walk forward, and slash down the fence pegs that are in the ground. There, take a few steps forward, and a Skeleton will jump out of a pile of gold in the background. He's no problem though; The real problem is a second skeleton, who will come from ahead, riding a Bone Dragon! This thing shoots bomb-like fire blasts, which are very powerful. Like other animals, however, you can take it for a ride, after knocking the skeleton off its back. Do so, and unleash hell on their bony hides. Walk forward a few steps, and another skeleton will attack. Blast it, then take a few more steps. You'll be attacked by another pair of skeletons, who again, can be blasted apart. After they've been killed, keep moving ahead, until you reach an area with a hole in the wall. When you reach it, prepare to go after a blue gnome who will come out, to get a blue vial. You can get another two blue vials from the blue gnome who resides in the next hole in the wall as well, however you'll have to be a bit more careful when walking past the third hole; A group of four Tree Demons will come smashing through the wall there. Practice some lumberjack skills on them, then drop down to the next ledge. You'll see two cages in the area: One holds a skeleton, and one holds four blue vials. Next to the cages, are three switches. One opens each cage, and one of them does absolutely nothing. However, which one is which appears to be random. Pull all three, to assure that you get the blue vials -- Kill the skeleton, just because he's there! Once that's taken care of, move up against the wall to your right, and hack away at it, until it rises up into the ceiling. With it out of the way, head forward once more. Kill the two cavemen who you'll find sleeping just beyond where the wall was, as well as a third cavemen who will come out of the door they will be sleeping in front of. After they've been taken care of, move forward a few paces, to cause another pair of them to come out. Once you've finished them off, the screen will scroll a bit to the right, and reveal a second door. You'll then have to fight two waves of Cavemen -- One wave from each of the doors. When they're all gone, set your sites on the bags tied to the ceiling by rope. Jump up and hack both of them off of the rope, to get a couple of blue vials, then be ready for another few cavemen to fight. One will be a regular cavemen, who will come out of one of the doors; The other two will be a bit more dangerous. They come from ahead, armed with flaming arrows, so try and take them out first. Midway through the fight, some more cavemen wielding spears should come from the left. Kill them too. Next, move forward, and jump up to hack a few more bags off of ropes that are attached to the ceiling. You'll gain two piles of treasure, and a blue vial from these bags. After picking up your loot, begin hitting on the next wall on your right, until it rises to the ceiling. Proceed to the right from there, and you'll see a whole band of cavemen doing a strange dance. However, as soon as you begin swinging swords and axes at them, they get into a fighting mood. They're so hostile! Once you take them out, step onto the wooden platform in the area. It will rise, acting like an elevator. When it stops, step off, onto the rocky platform, and head to the right. In this area, falling off of the platform, means certain death. That being said, take out the sleeping caveman on your right, then take out the group of his buddies that will come out of the two doors he was sleeping in front of. With them out of the way, walk to the edge of the platform, and jump to the next ledge in the air -- Doing a diving attack may be easier. After that, jump up to the next ledge (This one has to be an actuall jump, or you simply won't make it.) There, you'll find another group of dancing cavemen to kill. Do so, like you always do, then begin slashing away at the next wall,to open a path for yourself. Walk forward, past the pile of bones, there, and you'll see a blue gnome jump out of a nearby wall. Hit him to cause him to drop a blue vial, then prepare to do battle with a skeleton who will jump down from the ceiling. Kill him, but don't let your guard down. Just afterwards, four more skeletons will rise from the piles of bones on the ground. After you kill them, walk forward a few steps. Another Cyclops will jump through the wall on your right. You will, of course, be fighting it. .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Boss: Cyclops II | |----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | This fight is similair to the previous fight you had with the Cyclops, but | | this time, you're in an ordinary open area, and his moves aren't quite as | | easy to predict. He still has the whole body slam, and electric mace thing | | going, so don't get too close. Besides that, he loves to use a new and | | highly improved shoulder tackle. He'll get great distance, and it will do | | some damage if it hits, so try to stay at an angle from him (since the | | attack only goes straight ahead.) That being said, he is much smarter; If | | you are within striking distance, expect to be electrocuted, not tackled. | | The best tactic, would be to diving attack him, do a quick combo, then just| | back off, and wait for a chance to do it again. It's not worth going in for| | another attack just as he's waiting up, as it's rare that he gets stunned, | | and he is usually ready for a tackle immediately. Patience is the key. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' After the big guy goes down, head to the right and hack away at the fence pegs in the ground. Then, jump across the next two holes in the ground. You will then see two cages, and three switches. One cage holds four blue vials, and one holds a skeleton; You know the drill. Pull the switches to get the blue vial, and kill the skeleton if necessary. After that whack at the wall on your right to make it slide into the ceiling. From there, walk to the right, and drop down to the next ledge below, where you'll find a hole in the wall. When you approach it, four blue gnomes will come running out. Try to get in some hits on them, to pick up some blue vials, then continue ahead, slashing past the group of pegs in the ground. You'll come across a large collection of treasure on the ground. Walk around the area, picking it up, but be careful as some skeletons will spring to life from under certain piles. Kill them as they become animated, then once all of the treasure is gone, head to your right again. After a few seconds of walking, a platform attatched to the back of a large dragon will land, with another Scythe Wielder on it. .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Boss: Skeleton Scythe Wielder | |----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | This guy is, at his core, the same concept as the first Scythe Wielder that| | you fought. However, he fights quite differently. First of all, don't | | expect lots of dashes or tackles from him. Instead, you can expect a whole | | lot of slashes and swings from his Scythe -- Which has a dangerous reach, | | and packs quite a punch. Using his spin attack, he can even attack to | | behind him as well. His other trick, which is completely new is the ability| | to summon skeletons and demon trees to help him, by tossing bones or tree | | branches onto the ground. He's a pretty tough boss, but dash-attacking him,| | and then giving him a combo while you can, will work with some practice, | | and some patience. Stick in there, and the fight will end. Also, it may | | help, if you save your magic for when he summons his minions. The battle is| | kind of hard when the screen is so crowded. | '----------------------------------------------------------------------------' After the fight, you'll automatically step onto the same platform that the Skeleton Scythe Wielder got off of. You'll then see a short cutscene of the dragon flying through the air, towards Castle Death Adder. After the message "Now we do battle in the castle..." the scene will end. .----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.---------. | | | Scene 4 - March Forward to Castle Death-Adder (Pier) | [SCN4B] | '----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'---------' Start by heading to the right, and taking out the two bandits that you see talking. Then begin walking across the bridgte on your right, as you watch your back for the bandits that will try and get you from behind. After killing them, walk to the edge of the dock, and jump down onto the boat in front of you. Walk forward a few steps onto the deck, and the ship will
set sail. Soon after that, a skeleton will break through the deck of the
ship. Kill him, then jump up to the next step of the deck on your right.
Another two skeletons for you to kill, will break through the floor there.
Take a few more steps, and one more skeleton will come out; Kill him.
After that, jump up to the next step of the deck, and you'll be greeted by
a skeleton riding a bone dragon. Knock him off of it by attacking him, and
lay claim to the dragon for yourself. Look at the wall, as you ride the
bone dragon. You'll see three green doors, with holes in them. As you walk
past the first two, blue gnomes will come running out, giving you a chance
to earn some blue vials. However, when you approach the third door, several
tree demons will bust through the wall. So have your guard up, and be
ready to burn them. With them out of the way, drop down to the next deck,
which will be just to your right.
A group of cavemen will be dancing there. If you still have the Bone Dragon
you can easily target them one by one, to kill them. If not, you'll just
have to rush in and go medieval on the. After that, you'll just be fighing
your way through a few more waves of cavemen, as you make your way to the
right. Soon, you'll see a ship sailing towards you in the background. It
will actually crash into the boat that you're in, allowing six bandits to
jump out of it, onto the deck of your ship. When that happens, promptly
take them out, then head towards your right. There, so more bandits will
jump out, and still more, will come from the left side of the screen, rolling
two spear guns along. You know how this works: Take out the spear guns first
and use them on the rest of the bandits. During the fight, some cavemen
will also come from the right, but it's still nothing you can't handle.
When the enemies are finally wiped out, the wall on your right, will be
shattered, and another Cyclops will arrive.
.----------------------------------------------------------------------------.
Boss: Cyclops II
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This fight is similair to the previous fight you had with the Cyclops, but
this time, you're in an ordinary open area, and his moves aren't quite as
easy to predict. He still has the whole body slam, and electric mace thing
going, so don't get too close. Besides that, he loves to use a new and
highly improved shoulder tackle. He'll get great distance, and it will do
some damage if it hits, so try to stay at an angle from him (since the
attack only goes straight ahead.) That being said, he is much smarter; If
you are within striking distance, expect to be electrocuted, not tackled.
The best tactic, would be to diving attack him, do a quick combo, then just
back off, and wait for a chance to do it again. It's not worth going in for
another attack just as he's waiting up, as it's rare that he gets stunned,
and he is usually ready for a tackle immediately. Patience is the key.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
Once you've taken care of the Cyclops, head into the ship's cabin on your
right. As you walk, some octopus tentacles will break through the floor;
Stay up against the wall to avoid them. Continue walking until you reach a
crate, and when you do, jump over it, and kill any cavemen that you see.
There's a large pile of crates just to your right. You'll have to climb
over it, but as you do, a group of cavemen will be attacking you, so keep
your guard up. After dropping to the ground on the other side of the crates,
you can jump up, and knock down the sacks hanging from the ceiling, to
collect some blue vials. From there, head to the right, back onto the deck
of the ship.
As soon as you step onto the deck, you'll be attacked by a bandit from each
side, but there's only two of them, so there's no challenge. After you
slaughter them, walk forward onto the pile of skulls on the ground. As you
can probably predict, a skeleton will jump out of this pile, and you'll
have to kill him. Keep moving, and another two skeletons for you to fight
will jump out. Take care of them as well, and then do the same to the two
cavemen who will just appear in the middle of the deck. There's only two
at first, but soon after, a whole herd of them will arrive. You can use
your magic if you have it, but if not, you'll be doing things the old
fashioned way.
However you go about handling it, they'll end up dead, and another group of
skeletons will jump out of the nearby pit of skulls. Then, only moments
after they've been wiped out, a large dragon will land next to the ship,
holding a steel platform on his back. A scythe wielding skeleton will step
off of this platform, and as you can imagine, he's not a very happy guy.
A fight will then follow.
.----------------------------------------------------------------------------.
Boss: Skeleton Scythe Wielder
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This guy is, at his core, the same concept as the first Scythe Wielder that
you fought. However, he fights quite differently. First of all, don't
expect lots of dashes or tackles from him. Instead, you can expect a whole
lot of slashes and swings from his Scythe -- Which has a dangerous reach,

help, if you save your magic for when he summons his minions. The battle is
kind of hard when the screen is so crowded.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
After the fight, you'll automatically step onto the same platform that the
Skeleton Scythe Wielder got off of. You'll then see a short cutscene of the
dragon flying through the air, towards Castle Death Adder. After the
message "Now we do battle in the castle..." the scene will end.
.----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.---------.
| | | Scene 5 - Defeat the Death-Adder! | [SCN05] |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'---------'
You'll start, surrounded by a small cluster of bandits. Take them out, and
begin walking to the right. Take out another wave that attacks you, then
prepare for a change of pace. Four will attack at once -- Two from each
side of the screen. The two on the right wield catapults, and the two on
the left wield catapults with flaming rocks. Take out the two on the left
first, and use the Catapults to your advantage, to take out the two bandits
on the other side of the screen, as well as the bandits who will be jumping
onto the screen, from the ropes hanging in the background.
Once they've been taken care of, walk forward a bit more. Two more bandits
will attack. One will be riding a Black Mantis, and the other, a green
mantis. Choose your favorite, and massacre the two bandits with it, as well
as a new set of bandits, who will arrive with arrow guns. You can even grab
the arrow gun, and ride around with it, if you like. At some point during
the fight, bash open the treasure chests nearby, for a total of three blue
vials. Then, head to the right, and prepare to fight two Warrior Women.
.----------------------------------------------------------------------------.
Boss: Two Warrior Women
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all, there's only one health bar in this fight, and it goes for
the Warrior Woman with blonde hair. The other one has the same amount of
health, but it will not be shown. Anyway, you should still have at least
one mantis to work with, and hopefully, a spear gun or two. So, pick it up
and stand between the enemies. Keep switching back and forth, shooting the
arrows at both of them. You can also use any magic you have, for a boost.
Once you're out of tricks, try to focus on just one of them (preferably the
one with yellow hair.) Do dash attacks, and combos if you are unarmed, and
use fire/combos, if you have a mantis, depending on what variation you
have. Try to keep on the move, since the second enemy will be trying to do
dash attacks. Once you finish off one of them though, you should have no
trouble taking out the second one, in a one-on-one fight. You've done that
a few times before, already.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
After you finish off the second one, you'll see a short cutscene, of the
arm of the Deaht Adder statue-castle you're on, snapping off. You'll then
fly to the stomache, on the large dragon that brought you here. Specifically,
this area is the bunking area, for some of the bandits. So you'll have a
fight cut out for you as soon as you enter. Fight your way towards the
right, taking out the bandits left and right, and you'll come to a pair of
two Bandit Leaders. This time, the red one won't be running from you.
.----------------------------------------------------------------------------.
Boss: Twin Bandit Leaders
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Like in the fight with the Warrior Women, only one health bar exists for
this fight. The bandit leader in the red suit, is represented by this bar.
As usuall, standing too close wil lget you electrocuted, or body slammed.
However, with the two of them around, it's almost worth the risk. Do a dash
attack towards one, and combo him. If he doesn't fall, just let it go, and
dash back, away from him. If he does, go after the secone one immediately,
without a second thought. Try and keep up this dash-combo-switch tactic
until one of them tries to tackle you from behind. When this happens, turn
around, and do a dash-attack. For some reason, your attack will cancel out
theres; They'll take damage, but you won't. After a while of this, one of
the two will die, and the fight will become a one-on-one. Once again: Easy.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
After the fight with the bandit leaders, you'll be brought to the neck area
of the statue, on the flying dragon. In this area, there's evidently a party
going on. In front of you, there's a huge collection of barells, with a
group of cavemen dancing up and down on them. If you have magic, you'll be
able to wipe them all out without getting your feet dirty. If not, however,
you'll be in for a battle with quite a handicap against you. As you walk
across the barells, be careful for the cavemen with flaming bails of hay,
in particular. After a few waves of cavemen, you'll reach another Cyclops.
The fight is, more or less, the same as the last one, so you shouldn't have
a whole lot of trouble. After it ends, you'll fly to the castle's shoulder.
You'll be in a prison area, where you can see people in shackles in the
background. Ignore them for a moment, and set your sights on the gold on
the floor, though! Walk along, picking it up. When you reach the third or
fourth pile, however, be wary. Some skeletons will jump out of the piles
of gold, and you'll have to fight them. As you walk along, you'll also see
three statues. If you break all three, the gate holding the prisoners will
open, and they'll be freed, dropping a few blue vials as they leave. Getting
out will not be so easy for you though. You'll have to fight a clone of the
Scythe Wielder that you faced back in the third scene. Be careful though,
because if you freed the prisoners, you'll be facing three skeletons at
the same time. After this, the whole arm of the castle will fall off, and
you'll fly to the helmet, to do battle with the Death Adder himself.
.----------------------------------------------------------------------------.
Boss: Death Adder I
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the first phase of the fight, the Death Adder has a large golden axe,
and a huge shield with a dragon's head on it. Don't be fooled though, its
the shield that's the dangerous weapon. Death Adder can launch a huge blast
of fire or lightning from the dragon's mouth, and he can do it quickly.
Furthermore, you'll be unable to use magic, because the shield will simply
abosrb the blue vials, before they can take effect. That being said, the
axe is not completely useless. He can swing it, and he's a pretty tought
dude! Try and stick in the Death Adders face. Dash attack, and combo, as
quickly as you can -- And give him a quick slash, if you see him hold out
that shield, as hitting him before he uses it for fire/lightning, will
nullify his attack. Keeping him cornered is good, but sometimes, he will
get away with a dash attack, giving you some damage. When that happens,
turn around, and try and do it again, before he can get his shield out for
a stronger attack. After a bit of fighting, you should deplete his health
bar, destroying his shield. You can than start working on his own health.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.----------------------------------------------------------------------------.
Boss: Death Adder II
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first thing to state about this fight, is that without his shield, the
Death Adder is completely open to magic attacks. So unleash all of the
magic that you have right at the beginning of the fight. The next thing to
know, is that he no longer has the fire or lightning abilities; He's got a
shockwave ability to replace them though. He sends a wave on the ground
across the whole screen. Him forming a yellow orb over his head, signifies
that he's going to do this -- And he'll almost always do it when getting up
from being knocked down. Knock him down with a combo, then try and stay at
an angle from him, just below where he is. Then, wait for him to form that
yellow orb, and do a dash attack; Don't try to hit him, just use it so that
you dodge the shockwave attack, as it is the only way to. After dodging
successfully, combo him again. He may try and bring the axe out on you, but
you can't damage him without taking the risk. So, combo him, and back off.
Then repeat it for a while, dodging his shockwaves, until you defeat him.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
After the fight, the whole castle will begin to shake, and the helmet of it
will explode. You are then shown riding away on the green dragon. However,
a golden axe latches onto the side of the platform, and the Death Adder will
pull himself up, for one last round. The words "Final Scene!" will flash.
.----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.---------.
| | | Final Scene! | [SCN0F] |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'---------'
.----------------------------------------------------------------------------.
Boss: Death Adder III
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This fight starts out just like the previous phase, with the exception of
the Death Adder's glowing effect, and that the Death Adder has less health.
Deplete his health bar once more, and he'll begin loading a huge attack.
However, if you go to attack him, you'll simply end up dead. The trick to
beating him, is actually to not attackhim. Just sit back and wait. Soon,
the entire crew of Golden Axe characters will arrive, and the gnome sitting
on Goah's shoulder will jump, and strike Death Adder with an axe, killing
him. There's very little skill necessary for this fight.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
After the fight, you'll see cutscene of the Death Adder exploding, and the
game will end. You'll then see a short scene of all the living characters,
enemies, and animals in the game -- Including Death Adder -- in a party
scene, along with the words: "See You Next Game." Congratulations, you've
just beaten Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder!

Offence: <>
Defence: <><>
Can Ride Animals: Yes
Locations: Scene 1, Scene 2 (Forest), Scene 3, Scene 4 (Both), Scene 5
Description: These are the weakest enemies in the game, but there are a
large variety of them, to help keep things interesting. Some come with
swords, some come with bows, and some come manning spearguns, or riding
animals. None of the variations are particularly strong, though.
Demon Tree
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Offence: <><>
Defence: <>
Can Ride Animals: No
Locations: Scene 2 (Both), Scene 4 (Both)
Description: While stronger than the average Bandit, Demon Trees are very
easy to dispose of, and it shouldn't take many hits at all. Most of them
attack by tossing twigs or mushrooms, but some come bearing knives (Notably,
the ones that the Skeleton Scythe Wielder summons.) They aren't big fans
of riding animals, or using weapons though.
Caveman

Offence: <><>
Defence: <><>
Can Ride Animals: Yes
Locations: Scene 2 (Both), Scene 4 (Pier), Scene 5
Description: Cavemen are likely, insane. When you find them, they'll often
be jumping around, dancing like lunatics. They can fight though, and they
aren't as weak as they may look. You may also see variations that have spear
guns, arrows, or animals. They also like to carry flaming balls of straw
into their fights.
Skeleton

Offence: <><><>
Defence: <><><>
Can Ride Animals: Yes
Locations: Scene 2 (Both), Scene 4 (Both), Scene 5
Description: Skeletons are the toughest non-boss enemies you'll be able to
find. Not only is their offence quite high, it's hard to defeat them. In most
cases, in fact, they'll even reject death once or twice. See, when you knock
them down, they'll scatter into a pile of bones. However, they may pull
themself back together. They're always armed with swords and shields, but
they can ride animals as well. However, you won't see them riding anything
except Bone Dragons.

| Boss: Warrior Woman | Scene 1 |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
A warrior woman who's eating, will jump up, and lose it when you approach.
If you stil have the Mantis, pick up the Catapult, and carry it around,
shooting her. If not, just grab it, and shoot all of the stones immediately
reguardless of whether they'll hit or not. After that, get in the warrior's
face, and attack until she falls down. When that happens, back up. Wait
for her to stand, and one of two things will happen. She'll roar, or she'll
stand their panting. If she's panting, and you still have the Mantis, give
her a blast of fire. If you've lost the mantis, just attack-combo her. If
she roars just step back, and do a jumping attack by double-tapping forward
and pressing attack. This should knock her down again. Just repeat the
pattern until she's dead.

| Boss: Bandit Leader | Scene 1 |
|------------------------------------------------------------'---------------'
The first thing you have to know, is that a single bandit, riding a Blue
Scorpion will acompany the bandit leader to this fight. He'll walk in from
the right side of the screen, so make sure he's all the way on before you
attack him; Other wise you can't steal his scorpion! Use any attack magic
you have -- This won't apply if your Trix, obviously -- at the start, then
get on the Scorpion. This version has an electric stinger. Sting the
bandit leader, then step away from him, so that you are at an angle below
where he is. When he gets up, he'll either pant a bit, or immediately do a
charge. If he pants, sting him again. If he charges, he'll miss you: If
you are standing at an angle, of course. If he does get a charge in, try to
sting him as he runs by, and if you can't turn, around and sting him after
he stops. Keep this pattern up until he's dead. If you lose the Scorpion,
the same tactics will work, except you will *have* to wait until he stops
charging to get in a hit, if you want to be safe.

.------------------------------------------------------------.---------------.
| Boss: Warrior Woman II | Scene 3 |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
Unlike the first one that you fought, back in Scene 1, this one isn't busy
eating, so you don't have the surprise advantage. Still, many of the same
strategies will apply. Try and burn her (or combo her, if you lose the
Mantis) then step away from her. Move either above or below where she is,
since she'll either dash to the left or right, or do a diving kick after
she gets up. If you step back, you'll safely avoid these attacks. Once she
has done that, move in to attack again. On occasion, after getting up, she
will take a quick breath. Use this time to get in a bonus shot. Know, that
unlike in the first fight though, this Warrior will like to give you some
combos of her own; So don't idle, just be offensive. Soon, she should die.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.------------------------------------------------------------.---------------.
| Boss: Cyclops | Scene 3 |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
The first thing to note about this fight, is that you're in an alley, and
you can move upward, as well as left and right. That being said, if you
walk to the end, you'll find a green gnome, who holds meat that you might
need to restore your health. As for fighting the Cyclops, his main attacks
are dashing at you. He likes to run at you, and do a shoulder tackle. He
also does a modified version of this after getting up off the ground when
you knock him down: He runs to one side of the screen, turns around, and
then does the tackle. be wary of this as well, and move away from it. He
also has the ability to pick you up, and smash you head first against the
ground. Furthermore, he can also swing his mace, in an electric attack.
Try not to let him get those attack in at all -- they hurt. Run up and dive
attack him -- If you still have the Green Mantis, burn him instead -- and
back off. If he falls down, get ready to dodge his dash. However, if he
sits on the ground for a minute, just give him another quick beating. If
he doesn't fall down, get ready to go for another dive attack. Rinse and
repeat until he goes down; Or, hit him with some magic for an added boost.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.------------------------------------------------------------.---------------.
| Boss: Scythe Wielder | Scene 3 |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
First of all, hit the red bandit leader who's in the area, to make him run
off. Then, prepare for a tough battle. To start, use your magic, as it is
the most effective tactics against this guy. Then, you should be dive
attacking him, and doing combos. It will take time to bring him down though
because his armor is pretty damn effective. When you knock him down, try
to run past him, just as he gets up. Sometimes, this will allow you to
dodge his counter attack. He can swing his scythe, try to grab and slam
you, or do a shoulder tackle; He'll switch between the three moves, and he
is very accurate and quick with the three of them, so expect to be hit at
least a few times, if you don't have a second player to help you. Also note
that if you even attempt to attack him when he's getting up, he'll do a new
attack, where he swings his Scythe in the air, knocking you away; So keep
your distance. If you combo him, you may get lucky, and make him stunned.
When this happens, get in as many attacks as possible, before he regains
his cool. After a bit of a struggle, you should be able to defeat him.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.------------------------------------------------------------.---------------.
| Boss: Cyclops II | Scene 4 |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
This fight is similair to the previous fight you had with the Cyclops, but
this time, you're in an ordinary open area, and his moves aren't quite as
easy to predict.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.------------------------------------------------------------.---------------.
| Boss: Skeleton Scythe Wielder | Scene 4 |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
This guy is, at his core, the same concept as the first Scythe Wielder that
you fought. However, he fights quite differently. First of all, don't
expect lots of dashes or tackles from him. Instead, you can expect a whole
lot of slashes and swings from his Scythe -- Which has a dangerous reach,
and packs quite a punch. Using his spin attack, he can even attack to
behind him as well. His other trick, which is completely new is the ability
to summon skeletons and demon trees to help him, by tossing bones or tree
branches onto the ground. He's a pretty tough boss, but dash-attacking him,
and then giving him a combo while you can, will work with some practice,
and some patience. Stick in there, and the fight will end. Also, it may
help, if you save your magic for when he summons his minions. The battle is
kind of hard when the screen is so crowded.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.------------------------------------------------------------.---------------.
| Boss: Two Warrior Women | Scene 5 |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
First of all, there's only one health bar in this fight, and it goes for
the Warrior Woman with blonde hair.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.------------------------------------------------------------.---------------.
| Boss: Twin Bandit Leaders | Scene 5 |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
Like in the fight with the Warrior Women, only one health bar exists for
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.------------------------------------------------------------.---------------.
| Boss: Death Adder I | Scene 5 |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
In the first phase of the fight, the Death Adder has a large golden axe,
and a huge shield with a dragon's head on it.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.------------------------------------------------------------.---------------.
| Boss: Death Adder II | Scene 5 |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
The first thing to state about this fight, is that without his shield, the
Death Adder is completely open to magic attacks.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
.------------------------------------------------------------.---------------.
| Boss: Death Adder III | Final Scene |
------------------------------------------------------------'---------------
This fight starts out just like the previous phase, with the exception of
the Death Adder's glowing effect, and that the Death Adder has less health.

In Arcades, owners are almost always able to access hidden menus by using
a key to get inside the machine. When you're using Modeler, this menu can
be accessed by pressing Insert. I've created a list of the options in the
menu, but I don't claim that it's perfect -- In fact, some options I don't
understand at all. I've never owned an Arcade machine. If anyone can
contribute to this section, they'd be credited, and I'd be thankful.
Test Mode: I don't know what this does.
Memory Test: This runs a test, to make sure the game is in working
order. Rom values: IC17, IC18, IC8, and IC9 will be checked.
Ram values: IC36, IC37, IC61, IC62, IC63, IC64, IC65, IC66
IC68, IC69, IC70, Ic71, IC74, and IC75 will be checked,
and the word "Good" or "Bad" will be displayed for each.
I'm not sure what these values represent though.
Input Test: This test's the button inputs. Pressing buttons, will
cause the button name on the screen to light up, showing
that it is being pressed. Inserting coins causes the "Coin
Chute #1" or "Coin Chute #2" options to light up.
Sound Test: This option allows you listen to all of the sound effects
and background musics of the game. There are about 120 of
them in total, to listen to.
C.R.T. Test: This seems to test the color and brightness of the monitor,
but I'm not sure how it works.
G.Assignment: This option allows you to set the difficulty of the game,
how much health players start with, how many players the
machine is set up to handle (how many controllers there
are), and whether the monitor is flopped or reversed.
C.Assignment: In this menu, you can set whether the coin shoots are
individual or common (In common, player 1 and 2 share
coins and continues. In individual, they each have their
own stock.) You can also edit how many credits you need
to start, and how many coins make up one credit. You can
also select the Free Play mode, to be able to play without
worrying about inserting coins.
Bookkeeping: This keeps stats on games, such as how many games were
played, how long the average game was, and the number of
coins inserted into each slot.
Data Clear: This clears all of the data in the bookkeeping menu.
