We first saw her in the Samurai Showdown games where she was accompanied by a hawk and a wolf. Now she returns minus the wolf but still very powerful. Being a hidden character, she has no EX version and is a pain in the @$$ to unlock but once you do get her you'll find it was well worth it. ============================================================================ - Section 2 - Abbrieviations ----------------------------------------------- ============================================================================ This is just a list of motions Nakoruru uses, for a full list of game basics refer to the instruction manual or Sailor Bacon's excellent guide at GameFAQS. All motions in this guide assume you're facing right, if facing left, reverse foward and back motions(duh). s. = do the following move while standing c. = do the following move while crouching j. = do the following move while jumping f = foward b = back u = up d = down uf = up and foward ub = up and back df = down and foward db = down and back qcf = quarter circle forward (d, df, f) qcb = quarter circle back (d, db, b) hcf = half circle forward (b, db, d, df, f) hcb = half circle back (f, df, d, db, b) (LV3/MAX only) = can only be done at level 3 in capcom or max in SNK P = any punch K = any kick PP = both punches KK = both kicks LP = light punch HP = hard punch LK = light kick HK = hard kick ============================================================================ - Section 3 - Special Moves ------------------------------------------------ ============================================================================ Note: For moves involving Mamahaha(her hawk), Mamahaha must be above her. Rolling Cut: df + HP -She rolls foward with her dagger out. Looks pretty cool. Annu Mutsube: b, db, d+P -Nakoruru slides along the ground with her dagger foward while glowing. Very useful, fast and can even go under some projectiles(like Guile's Sonic Boom). Lela Mutsube: qcf + P -Same as the Annu Mutsube except she shoots up at a 45 degree angle. A very good anti-air move. LP makes her drop straight to the ground while HP makes her foward momentum continue while she falls. Amube Yatoro: hcb + P -Points foward and calls to Mamahaha who bursts into flames and dives at an angle. LP is a very steep angle while HP covers most of the screen. Shichikapu Etu Brute: hcf + K -Points foward and calls to Mamahaha who dives toward the opponent and attacks with it's talons. LP hits once, HP hits twice but has a delay between each hit. Mamahaha Grab: qcb + K -Grabs onto the Mamahaha. Mamahaha Slash: LP, HP, or LK during Mamahaha Grab -attacks while hanging from Mamahaha Mamahaha Release: HK during Mamahaha Grab -lets go of Mamahaha and drops to the ground. Shichikapu Ai: qcf+P during Mamahaha Grab -lets go of Mamahaha who bursts into flames and dives foward. Kamui Mutsube: qcb+P during Mamahaha Grab -Nakoruru lets go of Mamahaha and dives at her opponent with her dagger. ============================================================================ - Section 4 - Super Moves -------------------------------------------------- ============================================================================ Shichikapu Kamui Irushika: hcb, hcb + P -Nakoruru points foward and calls to Mamahaha who drops behind Nakoruru and then blasts across the screen, ramming her opponent and setting them ablaze. Great speed and cancels incoming projectiles, but that removes one hit. Hits 3 times at level 1, 4 times at level 2 and 5 times at level 3. Shirikoro Kamui Nomi: qcf, qcf + K (LP,HP,LK, or HK cancels) (LV3/MAX only) -An extremely unique move. A column of light surrounds Nakoruru and about 1/5 of her life is recovered. She is vunerable while doing this but can also cancel out of it at any time. ============================================================================ - Section 5 - Combos ------------------------------------------------------- ============================================================================ Note:All combos work in either Capcom or SNK groove c1 - j.HK, c.LK, s.HP, Annu Matsube c2 - j.LK, c.LP, c.LP, Lela Matsube c3 - j.HP, c.LP, c.LK, c.HK c4 - j.HK, c.LP, s.HP, Annu Matsube c5 - j.LK, c.LK, c.LK, Lela Matsube Super Combos Note:For the following combos to work you must "Super Cancel" into the last move in each combo. c1 - j.HK, c.LK, c.LK, Shichikapu Kamui Irushika c2 - j.HK, c.LP, s.HP, Shichikapu Kamui Irushika ============================================================================ - Section 6 - General Strategy---------------------------------------------- ============================================================================ -Nakoruru has one huge advantage... speed! She is arguably one of the fastest characters in the game. This leads to her being very offensive. -The Annu Mutsube can punish fireballer(in particular shotos). -The Amube Yatoro can be used against ground fireballers(especially Geese). -The Shichikapu Kamui Irushika can be used to end fireball wars or rushing super moves as it is very fast and will connect first if the opponent is a short distance from you or more. -Another good set of tactics is to use the Mamahaha grab moves and the Shichikapu Etu Brute to confuse opponents and then rush in and attack. -The Shirikoro Kamui Nomi can save you or kill you depending on how well you use it. Remember you are vunerable during it so to use it either put as much distance between your opponent before you start it or knock them down (using the Annu Mutsube or somthing similar) and then use it. Even with these cases you might have to cancel it to avoid an opponent's attack. -If opponents try to jump, use the Lela Mutsube to send them back down. -Nakoruru can't combo many of her moves since most knock down opponents and must rely on hit and run tactics to win. However you should be running circles around your opponents with Nakoruru's speed so feel free to use the combos I have listed whenever you're close. -Play very offensive with Nakoruru. Don't let your opponent even breathe. Keeping the pressure on is the key to winning. ============================================================================ - Section 7 - Partners ----------------------------------------------------- ============================================================================ Nakoruru's tough but should the unthinkable happen and Nakoruru falls in battle(Gasp!!!) it's helpful to have some backup. Nakoruru is a ratio 2 fighter, meaning she can be paired with either two ratio 1 characters or one ratio 2 character. Here's a list of possible partners: ____________ -Sakura | -Cammy | -Dhalsim | -Blanka | -Benimaru |-------Any two of these fighters -King | -Vice | -Yuri ____________| or _______________ -Ryu | -Ken | -Chun-Li | -Guile | -Terry | -Mai | -Iori | -Kyo |-------Pick only one of these fighters -Balrog | -E. Honda | -Zangeif | -Raiden | -Kim | -Ryo | -Morrigan ________| You can follow the old adage of "strength in numbers" by pairing her up with two ratio one characters(I find Sakura, King, Yuri and Dhalsim all work well) but I prefer to match her up with another ratio 2 character. Ryu, Ken, Terry, and Iori all make great partners for Nakoruru as they bring some much needed power to your team. You can also match her up with Chun-Li or Mai for an all out speed team. Just try out various combinations until you find one that suits your style and tactics. ============================================================================ - Section 8 - Vs. Nakoruru ------------------------------------------------- ============================================================================ Beating Nakoruru can be difficult. The best way to beat a Nakoruru player is to take advantage of the terrible recovery time on most of her moves. If dodged or blocked many of her moves leave her wide open. Take full advantage of this and beat her senseless(taken out of context that last sentance sounds really bad). Never get into a war of attrition with Nakoruru as she will always win with the Shirikoro Kamui Nomi to back her up. Then Mamahaha takes off and she gets into her fighting stance. Chouhatsu(taunt): -Nakoruru puts her hands around her mouth and makes an animal call. Win poses: -Strikes a really cool pose and says "Dai shizen ga oshi okio!" -Mamahaha lands on her arm and she says "Arigato Mamahaha!" ============================================================================ QUOTES - I hear Nature weeping... Don't you hear it? - I'm sorry... I had no choice but to do this. - It's not good to hurt each other, but you left me no choice... - Please reflect on your past conduct if you want to be forgiven. - I wanted to make friends with you. I have a mission to accomplish in life. ============================================================================ ACCESSING To play as Nakoruru, beat the game with all SNK characters in SNK groove. Now buy all EX SNK characters and secret 64(The Messanger of Nature). Fight and beat Nakoruru by going through arcade mode with SNK groove and have 60 gps and four wins with super moves by the third match. Nakoruru will become availible for purchase in the secret shop as secret number 75 for 8000vs. ============================================================================ - Section 10 - Credits ----------------------------------------------------- ============================================================================ I forgot this in the first version.
