Currently in progress. Due to the smaller nature of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, this guide will be smaller than those for previous installments. There are no events and no story mode in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS. Version 1.0- Walkthrough is a bit bare, but there's enough to cover the basics. More to be added in future updates. Version 1.5- Fixed several typos, added complete Challenge Mode section Sites with permission to use this walkthrough: GamerHeadlines.com B-TEN.com 30plusgamer.com GameFAQs.com Nettosgameroom.com If your site wishes to use my walkthrough, email me and chances are I'll allow it. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is the fourth installment in the Super Smash Bros. series, and the first one for the 3DS. It was co-developed by Nintendo and Bandai Namco, and has a full roster of 49/51 characters, depending on whether or not you count the different Mii Fighters as different characters. Table of Contents Classic Mode- [1.0] -Master Core- [1.1] - Master Core Forms and Attacks- [1.2] All Star Mode- [2.0] Smash Run- [3.0] Unlockables- [4.0] -Unlockable Characters- [4.1] -Unlockable Stages- [4.2] -Unlockable Pokemon- [4.3] Challenges- [5.0] -Panel 1 Challenges- [5.1] -Panel 2 Challenges- [5.2] -Panel 3 Challenges- [5.3] Closing Thanks- [6.0] [1.0] Classic Mode To play Classic Mode on anything other than 2.0, Standard, you have to pay a fee. The fee increases the easier, or harder, you make the mode and must be paid per challenge per character. Intensity levels: Effortless 0.0 - 0.9 Weaker than weak. You're either playing this because you're terrible with a character but want to get all the trophies or you just let your six year old sibling try to play the game. Fee: 55-100 coins Easy 1.0 - 1.9 Still very weak and easy, you're just trying to save coins without leaving the comfort zone. No risk, no reward. Fee: 5-55 coins Standard 2.0 - 2.9 Exactly what it sounds like, standard difficulty. There's no challenge and little reward in playing this, but it's free. 2.1 and up is when you're trying to obtain better prizes, though you're still not earning much for beating it at this point. Fee: Free-72 coins Tougher 3.0 - 3.9 Don't let the name fool you, you're still on what could be considered easy mode. Prizes are a bit better, but not by much. Fee: 80-188 coins Challenging 4.0 - 4.9 You're starting to play at an actual difficulty, but this isn't going to challenge you as a fighter. You're getting there though. Prizes still aren't worth noting. You can challenge Master Hand and Crazy Hand if you want to make this a bit more difficult. Fee: 200-335 coins Heatin' Up 5.0 - 5.9 Congrats, you're playing on what can be considered Normal difficulty. You might actually get multiple prizes per round from this point on, too. Master Hand and Crazy hand may get a bit trickier, but it's still nothing too difficult. For now. Playing on 5.5 and up means you get to challenge Master Core, though you can currently avoid that fight by choosing to only fight Master Hand. It isn't until 6.0 that Master Core becomes difficult, however. Fee: 350-530 coins Extra Spicy 6.0 - 6.9 Now you're taking on a challenge! This is Hard mode. Not insanely difficult to handle, but it will start to challenge you if you're using fighters you're not great with. The prizes are better too, and the ability to get zero prizes is normally gone. However, challenging Master Hand and Crazy Hand together will cause them to morph into Master Core. More on that in a bit. If you don't want to deal with Master Core, you can choose to only fight Master Hand and ignore the big boss fight entirely. Fee: 550-775 coins Infernal 7.0 - 7.9 Now when you challenge Master Core, you'll be dealing with every form he has. This level is difficult, but far from impossible. You're more likely to get multiple prizes per round too. Fee: 800-1205 coins White Hot 8.0 - 8.9 That fight with Master Core is no longer avoidable, assuming you're playing a North American or European copy. If you challenge 8.0 or higher, you now have to fight every form in order to beat Classic on this difficulty. You can make some good money too, and you can get upwards of 3-5 prizes per round if you're lucky. Great for getting character moves...if you survive. Fee: 1250-2105 coins Nothing Harder! 9.0 Pretty self explanitory, this is the hardest intensity the game has to offer. Master Core now have over 400 HP, and he wants you dead. If you beat it on 9.0, you can say you beat the game at the highest difficulty. You'll also complete a Third Panel Challenge, and that's one you can't avoid by breaking it with a hammer. Getting no less than four prizes a round is pretty common on this level of difficulty, but you'll have to win to keep your prizes. Fee: 2200 coins [1.1] Master Core Super Smash Bros. for 3DS introduces a new Final Boss, the multi-formed Master Core. The amount of forms Master Core has varies depending on which difficulty you choose to fight it in. Lower than 5.1: No Master Core. If you defeat Master Hand and Crazy Hand, the fight ends like normal. 5.1 - 5.9: Including Master and Crazy Hand and the Core itself, four forms. You only deal with the Swords form and the Mirror Match, detailed below. 6.0 - 6.9: Five forms now. The aforementioned ones, and now a Scorpion/Beast form. At this point, those two lives seem pretty meager, don't they? 7.0 - 7.9: The final form you'd need to defeat makes an appearance starting at 7.0 difficulty, the Humanoid form. That means you have to fight a total of six forms on two lives and no healing items. Or you can just skip the whole fight and battle just Master Hand. 8.0+ : Just kidding. For North American and European versions of the game, you now have to fight every single form whether you like it or not. Japanese version owners do get to avoid Master Core until 9.0, but every version of the game has Master Core as the mandated Final Boss at 9.0 [1.2] Master Core Forms and Attacks As previously mentioned, Master Core has a total of six forms starting at 7.0 difficulty. Every form, including the Core itself, can hurt and kill you if you're not careful. Certain attacks can kill you without doing any damage as well. The Humanoid Form Master Core's Humanoid form is a gigantic and freakish being that you're only able to see the head and upper torso of. This form is so huge that he can physically pick up the stage and use it against you, though he only does that for one move. Humanoid Attacks - Master Core spawns two additional arms with glowing hands. These arms will sweep the stage, then merge back into its chest. If you don't dodge the hands, you'll be swallowed by the "head", taking damage before being launched downwards. Just keep dodging left and right and you should be okay. - Master Core lashes the screen horizontally. The slash itself does nothing, but after a brief delay of about two or three seconds another slash will appear across the stage, dealing damage. Getting the timing right is difficult, but you can avoid it by jumping up. - Master Core creates multiple electric orbs that fly and wander around the top part of the stage. He will then briefly lift the stage, to the level of the orbs. Pretty easy to dodge, and you can keep attacking throughout most of this attack if you pay attention. May be able to reflect the orbs. - Master Core's head will split open, creating a vacuum effect around it. During this, large electric orbs will travels across the stage horizontally. If you get caught, you will be swallowed and take damage before being launched downwards. Just try to avoid the head. He can follow you, but you can attack with fast ranged attacks. - Master Core's head will transform, then attempts to headbutt the player. If this attack lands, the player will be buried. After the headbutt, regardless of whether or not you get hit, 4 orbs are created in a random area around you before detonating and creating a cross-shaped explosion. Avoiding the headbutt is pretty easy, just keep dodge rolling, but the bomb attacks are extremely difficult to avoid and can cover the entire stage. Does massive damage and launches you. - Master Core will shout, creating particle waves pushing the player back with immense force. It does no damage, but if you don't dodge roll you will likely to push them off the stage. You can recover from it if the move conjnects, but Master Core will likely be ready to attack again after you do. The Scorpion Form The Scorpion/Beast form isn't anywhere as large as the Humanoid form, although this form is the one with the best launching capabilities. Thankfully all that power means that it's slow and easy to telegraph, so dodging most of these attacks isn't too hard if you know how. It also only has a few attacks. Scorpion Attacks - Master Core jumps behind the stage, then bites the player. The only attack that's notably difficult to dodge, but can be dodged with well timed dodge-rolling. Will launch the player as well as deal a sizable amount of damage if it connects. - Master Core leaps high off the screen, then comes back down with a body slam. It will land on either corner of the stage, and the stage briefly shakes when it lands. Basically if you're not near the corner, this attack won't do anything but annoy you. - Master Core spawns spikes on its back, then a trail of shadows will crawl across the ground. When it either hits the player or reaches the corner, spikes will spawn at that location, dealing damage and launching the player at higher percentages. If you see the spikes coming, that would be a good time to take to the air. - Master Core will begin to emanate lightning around himself. There is a brief start-up time, which shows it being struck by lightning. Easy to dodge, just get away from him and this attack won't connect. Can launch and K.O. the player if it connects. The Swords Form The Swords form is the overall fastest of the Master Core forms, and many of this form's attacks are difficult to dodge and good at launching the player. If you haven't lost a life yet, the Swords form is going to try and change that. But if you take out the Swords form, all that's left is the Mirror Match and the Core itself. If you're using a character that can absorb or reflect projectiles, this form suddenly becomes much easier. The Swords Attacks - Master Core launches two projectiles twice that boomerangs back to himself. The projectiles can be absorbed or reflected. Not too difficult to dodge, as long as you pay attention to when the projectiles return. - A different attack, similar to the one above, but launches two larger projectiles once instead. - The swords space themselves, encompassing a large part of the stage. The four smaller swords will slash across the stage in a set pattern, then the large sword slams the ground, tracking the player. Dodge-rolling will help you avoid taking damage, though you'll need to take to the air before the fifth sword comes down, otherwise you'll take massive damage and likely be launched to your death. - All five swords deal multiple slashes, ending with a big slash that knocks back the player. The attack has a very large radius, but each slash deals little damage and shield damage. Mirror Match Form You're almost done, the Mirror Match is the last true fight before you can wail on the Core and finish the match. Mirror Match form is essentially a larger and stronger version of the character you're playing as. He can, however, be launched just as easily as the character you're playing as, and he's not noticeably faster than you either. The Mirror Match can be ended by either knocking Master Core off of the stage or by sufficiently reducing it's Stamina health. Don't let your guard down though, because this form can take you out just as easily as any other. Mirror Match Attacks -This form is a mirror match, Master Core will use all of the default (that is, non-customized) attacks of the character that you're playing as. If you're using a character that can counter, this fight just became harder. If you know your character well, you know what to expect. The Master Core The Core itself is all that remains now. It's a puny little ball, and your goal is to deal enough damage to launch it. Until you completely K.O. it,it will just return to the center of the stage. Once you do enough damage to take it out for good, you've officially defeated Master Core. The Master Core Attacks Oh yeah, that puny ball? It can attack if you screw around and want to slap it silly after a long, hard fought battle. -Once turning a dark red, The Core will bring itself to the top of the stage and begin creating shockwaves. If any of these shockwaves hit, you will be instantly knocked out, regardless of your current health percentage. Can actually be dodge-rolled if your timing is good enough, though you really do have to try to get the Core to attack for you to need to worry about this. -After several shockwaves, if the player is not dead, Master Core gives up and explodes. Battle won. Yay. [2.0] All Star Mode All Star Mode is available from the start, although it's noticeably incomplete. Until you unlock every character, you'll only have to deal with the default roster. After unlocking every character, you'll get true All Star Mode. Locked characters and stages you get to deal with are noted in the asterisk below. You at no point fight the Mii's, just every other character in the roster. Try to hold off on healing until Battle 3. You only have three (four in True All Star mode) healing items, and you will need them. All stage hazards are still on, but you can use them to your advantage. For example, you can defeat the Yellow Devil on Wily's Castle and create an explosion that can wipe out a number of the other fighters. Or you can die because you forgot to dodge a Shy Guy car on Rainbow Road. There are no items, however. 1980-1983 (Battle 1) Mario, Luigi, Pac Man, Little Mac, Donkey Kong, * Mr.Game and Watch* Biggest threat- Donkey Kong, Little Mac While Donkey Kong won't destroy you, he can hurt you enough to make the rest of All Star mode more difficult if you don't pay attention. Little Mac can also land his K.O. Punch, which would end your challenge before you even begin. Stages- Boxing Ring, Jungle Japes, *Flat Zone 2* 1984-1986 (Battle 2) Peach, Zelda, Bowser, Samus, Link, *Duck Hunt*, *R.O.B* Biggest threat- Duck Hunt, Bowser Duck Hunt can hit you a lot and at decent ranges, which makes him a nuisance (how fitting) while Bowser can launch you for massive damage, or even self destruct and take you with him. Stages: Brinstar, Gerudo Valley, Golden Plains 1986-1990 (Battle 3) Pit, Palutena, Mega Man, Marth, Yoshi, Captain Falcon, *Dr. Mario* Biggest threat- Palutena, Marth Palutena can do a lot of damage to you while protecting herself, making her difficult to land a lot of attacks on., Marth can and will counter you, as well as deal decent damage. (Notes) You made it Battle 3, feel free to heal before or after this fight. You likely won't run out of healing items before the end now. Mega Man is also a threat due to his range, and he can get annoying fast if you don't take him out. Also, be sure to dodge the Falcon Punch. Not only does it do a lot of damage, but you'll also feel like an idiot if he connects. Stages:Reset Bomb Field, Wily's Castle, *Mute City* 1991-1993 (Battle 4) Sonic Kirby King Dedede Fox Meta Knight *Falco* *Wario* Stages: Green Hill Zone, Corneria, *Dream Land GB*, *Wario Ware Inc.* Biggest threat- Fox + Falco, Meta Knight Don't let Fox and Falco join the fight together, or this battle will become so much harder. Meta Knight can also counter, do decent damage, and move your character to a potentially fatal area. (Notes) Stay away from the gray on the Dream Land GB stage. It's useful to kill enemies with, but the stage can easily kill you too just because of poor timing or positioning. 1994-1998 (Battle 5) Diddy Kong, Pikachu, Charizard, Sheik, *Jigglypuff*, *Ganondorf*, *Ness* Biggest threat- Diddy Kong, Charizard Diddy Kong probably won't kill you, but he can do a serious amount of scratch damage, which is bad when you only have one life. Charizard's Flare Blitz can easily kill you at higher percentages. Charizard and Diddy Kong can tag team you and end you with ease if you're not careful, especially if you're going into this battle damaged. Stages- Spirit Tracks, Unova Pokemon League, *Magicant* (Notes) Ganondorf can also easily ruin your day due to how much pain he can inflict on you, but you can generally telegraph his attacks and avoid him. The Flying Man on Magicant strangely does not spawn. Skip a few years to... 2001-2006 (Battle 6) Villager, Olimar, Toon Link, Zero Suit Samus, Ike, Lucario, *Bowser Jr./Koopaling* Biggest threat- Villager, Lucario Lucario's power goes up with the more damage he takes, plus he can counter. He's also able to attack at a ranged distance, so try to get rid of him as soon as possible. The Villager may not seem threatening, but if you're going into this battle with a relatively high percentage, his/her Bowling Ball attack can K.O. you with ease if you're not careful. The Chopped Down Tree attack (Part three of Villager's Down+B) can also defeat you, though it's reasonably easy to avoid. Stages- Distant Planet, 3D World, Tortimer's Island 2007-2013 (Battle 7) Rosalina and Luma, Wii Fit Trainer, Shulk, Robin, Greninja, *Lucina*, *Dark Pit* Biggest threat- Shulk, Robin Shulk can Back Slash you for massive damage, plus he can counter as well. If he's using his Monado of Power (Red), this can take you out before long. Robin can also hurt you badly at long ranges, and can dish out some decent damage at close range too. If you beat Shulk and Robin, you can feel confident that you're about to clear All Star Mode. But don't let your guard down, or Lucina and Greninja will remind you that they can both counter. Stages- Gaur Plains, Arena Ferox, Rainbow Road, Prism Tower And congrats, you beat All Star Mode. Once. Out of 52 characters you need to beat it with, since you need to beat it with all three Mii Fighters to get their trophies. [3.0] Smash Run Smash Run is a new game mode for Super Smash Bros. and is exclusive to the 3DS version. It's very similar to City Trial in Kirby Air Ride for the GameCube. The point of the mode is to collect power ups and battle for victory in the Final Challenge. There's no particular strategy for winning this mode as often as possible, you just have to customize your character(s) in a manner that suits you. Dying in the exploration and power up collecting part of the mode results in your status buffs to go down, but you don't lose any items. This is the list of currently known modes that someone can get at the end Smash Run, the aforementioned Final Challenges. All of these have a one minute time limit unless stated otherwise. Many of the Smash battles also have a Team Battle variation, and there is a standard team battle Final Challenge. 300% Smash- A standard battle of Smash where all players start and respawn with 300% damage, akin to Sudden Death. Climb!- A four player free-for-all where the goal is to climb up to the goal on a vertical stage. You can attack opponents and potentially knock them out, causing them to respawn and lose precious time. Easy Launch- A standard battle of Smash where the launch resistance for every player has been significantly reduced. Explosive Smash- A standard battle of Smash where only explosive items spawn. Flower Smash- A standard battle of Smash where all of the players have the flower condition, i.e. hit by Lip's Stick. Glorious Smash- A standard battle of Smash on an Omega Form stage. No items, no gimmicks. Mega Smash- A standard battle of Smash where all players have the Super Mushroom buff. Multi-Man Smash- Each player must defeat as many opponents as possible under rules similar to Multi-Man mode. Takes place on the Battlefield stage. Mr. Saturn Smash- A standard battle of Smash where only Mr. Saturns spawn. Reflect Smash-A standard battle of Smash where all combatants come equipped with Franklin Badges. Run!- Four player free-for-all, where the goal is to reach the goal on a horizontally scrolling stage similar to Race to the Finish. Does not have a one minute time limit. You can also attack your opponents to cause them to take longer reaching the finish line. Smash- A regular old battle of Smash with your status buffs. Still has the one minute time limit, and will sometimes have items. Stamina Smash- A Smash battle where all players have Stamina instead of damage percentages. Everyone starts with 150 or 200 HP. Does not have a time limit. Stock- A standard battle of Smash where the round will either end after the two minute time limit or when your opponents run out of lives. Each player has two lives. Team Battle Smash- A standard battle of Smash where the players are paired off into two teams and battle against each other. Warp Star Smash - A standard battle of Smash where only the Warp Star item spawns. Vs. Enemy Team- On an Omega Form stage, each player is tasked with defeating as many Smash Run enemies as possible in one minute. Known variants include: Mario enemies on Golden Plains Kirby enemies on Dream Land GB Kid Icarus enemies on Reset Bomb Forest Miscellaneous enemies on Battlefield, in small groups sorted by series of origin (Subspace Emissary, Namco, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda) [4.0] Unlockables Pretty self explanatory, just the things you can unlock while you play. Due to their simplistic nature, there's no serious strategy how to unlock most of these. You may unlock everything you want just by playing the game. [4.1] Characters: Mii Fighters- Create a Mii Fighter in Custom Ness- Play 10 Smash matches or beat Classic Mode 2 times Falco- Play 20 Smash matches or beat Classic Mode 1 time Wario- Play 30 Smash matches or beat 100 Man Battle Lucina- Play 40 Smash matches or beat Classic Mode with Marth, Robin or Ike Dark Pit- Play 50 Smash matches or beat Classic Mode on 5.0 difficulty Dr. Mario- Play 60 Smash matches or beat Classic Mode on 5.0 difficulty as Mario R.O.B- Play 70 Smash matches Ganondorf- Play 80 Smash matches or beat Classic Mode on 5.0 difficulty with Link Mr. Game & Watch- Play 90 Smash matches Bowser Jr./The Koopalings- Play 100 Smash matches or beat Classic Mode on 6.0 difficulty as Bowser Duck Hunt (Dog and Duck)- Play 110 Smash matches Jigglypuff- Play 120 Smash matches or beat Classic Mode on 7.0 difficulty [4.2] Stages: Dream Land GB- Use Kirby's Final Smash Magicant- Unlock Ness Pac Maze- Use Pack-man's Final Smash Mute City- Win 3 Smash Battles as Captain Falcon Balloon Fight- Use Villager 3 times in Smash WarioWare Inc.- Unlock Wario Flat Zone 2- Unlock Mr. Game & Watch (Note) You can unlock Mr. Game & Watch without unlocking this stage. If you're not on Challenge Panel 2 by the time you unlock Mr. Game & Watch, you won't get the stage until you unlock Panel 2. [4.3] Pokemon Unlocking the Pokemon will allow them to be randomly summoned whenever you throw a Pokeball or Master Ball. Victini- Play 100-Man Smash for the first time (Note) you don't have to win, though you will need to for later challenges. For now, you could jump off the stages and still get it. Xerneas- Play Target Blast for the first time Genesect- Play Endless Smash for the first time Zoroark- Clear 10-Man Smash Meloetta- Have the game on for more than 8 hours (Note) This is a Panel 2 Challenge, even if you meet the requirements you won't unlock Meloetta until you've gotten to the second panel of challenges. [5.0] Challenges Challenges are a returning feature from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This time there are three different panel challenges. The total amount of challenges is 105. You start off with first tier challenges, the easy ones, and unlock challenge panels 2 and 3 through certain means. Challenge Panel 2- Complete Challenge Panel 1 Challenge Panel 3- Complete 60 challenges and unlock all characters Hammers do not carry over from page to page, so you can use up to three on each panel. If you don't live in an area where you can get that many hits on Streetsmash or you're stuck on one that requires more luck, those hammers are likely the fastest way you'll get them done. The panel grids are all 7x5. if you complete a Challenge before unlocking the corresponding Panel, such as Challenge Panel 2's Complete Classic with five characters, you will automatically complete that Challenge once you unlock the Panel. One final side note is that the prizes are listed at the end, to help avoid spoiling it for you if you don't want to find out what you unlock for completing a certain challenge. So the pattern is: (Challenge Number)- (Requirement to beat the Challenge). Prize- (The Prize) (Ideas and tips on how to beat the Challenge) This also goes Left to Right, i.e [P1]-[P2] | [P8]-[P9] [5.1] Challenge Panel 1 001- Collect 30 or more unique trophies. Prize- Toad (Trophy) Just play the game, you'll get 30 trophies in absolutely no time. 002- Place first in 1 or more Smash Run final battles. Prize- Level 1 Horizon Beam (Smash Run Power) Win a round of Smash Run. Pretty self explanatory. 003- Clear All-Star on Easy. Prize- Epona (Trophy) Once again, pretty self explanatory. You can beat it on Normal or Hard and they'll stack, so you don't need to play it on Easy to unlock this. 004- Create 1 or more Mii Fighters in Custom. Prize- Football Helmet (Custom Headgear) You literally need to do this anyway to unlock the Mii Fighter, and it's easy. Just go to custom Mii fighter and make one. 005- Battle 3 or more times on the Rainbow Road stage in Smash. Prize- Peach + Birthday Girl (Trophy) Just finish three rounds of Smash on the Rainbow Road stage. You don't have to win, you can just start it and K.O. yourself. 006- Use a Final Smash while playing as Kirby. Prize- Dream Land GB (Stage) Use Kirby's Final Smash. Can be done anywhere, including Training Mode. 007- Hit Sandbag 300m/984 ft. or more in Home-Run Contest. Prize- Bonkers (Trophy) There's nothing difficult about doing this, just deal some damage to Sandbag before hitting him with a Home Run. Make sure to swing the bat before the time runs out though. 008- Get a max combo of 10 or more in Training. Prize- Huge Header (Wii Fit Trainer Custom Special Move) The easiest way to get to the highest combo is by spawning four Smasrt Bombs in front of your opponent and throwing one at them. These do stack, so if you get up to one hundred, you'll finish all of the challenges for combos in training. 009- Unlock the hidden character Ness. Prize- Magnicant (Stage) Just unlock Ness. See Unlockable Characters above for how. 010- Collect 5 unique custom headgear items. Prize- Level 1 Strong Head (Custom Smash Power) This one is technically luck, so if you don't get it after a bit of time playing, you may want to use a hammer on it. Though you can unlock a few new pieces of headgear by completing other Challenges. 011- Play Target Blast for the first time. Prize- Xerneas (Pokemon) Again, pretty self explanatory. Just finish Target Blast. You can get zero points and still unlock this. 012- Play Rival Smash for the first time. Prize- Super Mushroom Hat (Custom Headgear) Just play Rival Smash. It's one of the Multi-Man Melee challenges. You can get zero points and die instantly and still unlock this. 013- Play StreetSmash for the first time. Prize- Special Lightning Falcon Kick (Captain Falcon Custom Special Move) You don't need to get a hit to do this, you can just play a practice round of Streetsmash and still get it. 014- Battle 2 or more times on the Tortimer Island stage in Smash. Prize- Liftoff Lloid (Villager Custom Special Move) Same as Rainbow Road. You can lose or die in five seconds, just complete two battles on Tortimer Island. 015- Obtain 10 types of Smash Run Powers. Prize- Level 2 Reflector (Smash Run Power) Not too difficult. Play through Smash Run a few times and you should have ten different Powers. 016- Play Trophy Rush for the first time. Prize- Timmy & Tommy Nook (Trophy) Once you have a few gold coins, play through a round of Trophy Rush. Then you have this trophy. 017- Use a Final Smash while playing as PAC-MAN. Prize- Pac-Maze (Stage) Same as Kirby, just use Pac-Man's Final Smash in any game mode. 018- Play Home-Run Contest for the first time. Prize- Home-Run Bat (Trophy) You can get zero feet and still get this, just so long as you play it once. 019- Battle 3 or more times on the Reset Bomb Forest stage in Smash. Prize- Cragalanche the Mighty (Trophy) Still the same as Rainbow Road. Win or lose, it doesn't matter. Just finish three rounds. 020- Win 3 Smash battles with Captain Falcon. Prize- Mute City (Stage) This time you actually have to win. You can just set the Computer to 1 and finish them off, or just play as Captain Falcon for awhile and get it naturally. 021- Unlock the hidden character Dark Pit. Prize- Dark Pit Staff (Trophy) Same with Ness, view Unlockable Characters for how to get Dark Pit. 022- Clear Classic on intensity 3.0 or higher. Prize- Master Hand (Song) More or less just beat Classic once. You could do this accidentally by trying to unlock a certain character. 023- Unlock the hidden character Wario. Prize- WarioWare Inc. (Stage) Same as the others, just unlock Wario. Go to Unlockable Characters if you don't know how. 024- Play 100-Man Smash for the first time. Prize- Victini (Pokemon) Just play 100-Man Smash once. You can complete it or die with a final score of 0 and you'll get this one. 025- Use Villager 3 or more times in Smash. Prize- Balloon Fight (Stage) Win or less, just finish three rounds of Smash as Villager. You could play three rounds on a stage that requires you to play on it and kill two Challenges at the same time. 026- Play Endless Smash for the first time. Prize- Genesect (Pokemon) You should know the drill by now. Play until you die, whether your score is at 200 or zero. 027- Clear 10-Man Smash. Prize- Zoroark (Pokemon) Just clear the 10-Man Smash. It should take a grand total of about thirty seconds. 028- Get at least 20 K.O's in 3-Minute Smash. Prize0 Karate Joe (Trophy) Not hard at all, you should get 20 K.O's by minute one if you're not playing around. You could also use Donkey Kong's Down+B and take out twenty as soon as they appear, though this is easy enough to do with any character. 029- Destroy 300 blocks in Trophy Rush. Prize- Giant Bomb (Link Custom Special Attack) This is accumulative, so you can just play through a few times and get this with ease. 030- Win 3 Smash battles with Luigi. Prize- Luigi's Cap (Custom Headgear) Another one where you need to win. So just win three times with Luigi and you'll get this. 031- Win 2 Smash battles with Ness. Prize- Mr. Saturn (Trophy) After you unlock Ness, win two rounds with him and you'll get this. 032- Play Cruel Smash for the first time. Prize- Spiny Hat (Custom Headgear) Thankfully you don't need to get a single K.0. yet, just play once and you'll complete this challenge. 033- Collect 3 unique custom outfits. Prize- Level 1 Strong Body (Smash Run Power) This one is, unfortunately, complete luck. It's best to just use a hammer on this, or you may be stuck with this as your one last panel for quite some time. Though if you got lucky and get three outfits, that works too. 034- Win 2 Smash battles with Zelda. Prize- Princess Zelda Wig (Custom Headgear) Win with Zelda etc, same as always. Just twice this time. 035- Score 100000 or more in Target Blast. Prize- Blast Box (Trophy) It's not as hard as you think. Play as a few different characters and you'll get it. That's the end of Challenge Panel 1. Remember though, those were the easy ones. It's only going to get harder from here. [5.2] Challenge Panel 2 036 Place first in Smash Run final battles with 5 different fighters. Prize- Level 2 Spinning Blades (Smash Run Power) Win the Final Challenge with five different fighters. Pretty basic, just choose five you like. 037- Get a max combo of 40 or more in Training. Prize- Beam Sword Agility Badge (Custom Equipment Item) If you did the Smart Bomb trick as noted in the ten max combo above, then you'll already have over 100. If not, just look at Challenge Number 008. 038- Unlock all playable fighters. Prize- Menu 2 [Melee] (Music) Again, just look up at the Unlockable Characters selection for how to unlock everyone. 039- Create 3 custom characters in Custom. Prize- Sprinter Agility Badge (Custom Equipment Item) Just customize three different fghters. You'll get this while beating Smash Run if you customize each fighter you choose. 040- Destroy 1000 blocks in Trophy Rush. Prize- Close Combat (Ike Custom Attack) This accumulates, so just play through Trophy Rush a few times and you'll eventually get this. 041- Get 100 KOs in Smash. Prize- Hyper Smasher Brawn Badge (Custom Equipment Item) If you're unlocking all characters, you'll likely get this accidentally by killing the computer in 100 battles of 1-Stock Versus. Alternatively, you can set the game to 99 Live Stock and give the three computers a 300% Handicap. Double the Damage Ratio for even faster results. You'll definitely get it after a battle or two that way, and the battles don't take too long because of their handicap. 042- Collect 150 or more unique trophies. Prize- Crazy Redd [Trophy] Another one you'll get accidentally, likely while smashing 1000 Blocks in Trophy Rush. Just keep playing the game and this will be yours shortly. 043- Have a total high score of over 2000000 between all fighters in Target Blast. Prize- King Bob-Omb (Trophy) A later Challenge Panel is play through Trophy Rush with all fighters, so you'll get this one just by playing with different characters. No real strategy needed. 044- Get a total of 5 hits in StreetSmash. Prize- Level 2 Shinespark (Smash Run Power) This may be a hammer worthy panel if you don't live in an area where you'll get a lot of StreetSmash hits. If you do, then just...take a walk or something. Go get those hits! 045- Get 10 or more KOs in a single Rival Smash. Prize- KO Healer Protection Badge (Custom Equipment Item) Pretty easy to do. Just play through a round of Rival Smash and see if you get this just by surviving. If not, there's always the Donkey Kong strategy (Down+B and wait), though you likely won't need to use it for this. 046- Battle 3 or more times on the Living Room stage in Smash. Prize- Golden Retriever (Trophy) Same as the others. Win or lose, just complete three battles on the Living Room stage. 047- Get 10 KOs by knocking foes into other foes in StreetSmash. Prize- Mugly (Trophy) Even if you live in the ideal place to get StreetSmash hits this one is a chore. Though you do always have a trusty hammer to skip this one with. Alternatively, I have heard that you can get this in Practice, but that's not something I personally tested before I hammered this. 048- Obtain 25 types of Smash Run Powers. Prize- Level 2 Instant Drop (Smash Run Power) The game hands Smash Run Powers out like candy. Just play the game for a bit and you'll get this, it isn't even a luck based thing. 049- Clear 100-Man Smash. Prize- Auto-Healer Brawn Badge (Custom Equipment Item) A Challenge Panel 3 challenge is complete 100-Man Smash with every single character, so you will be doing this one. Just choose a character to beat this with and get it done and over with. Then do it 50 more times. 050- Reveal 99% of the wall during the staff credits. Prize- Credits (Song) You will be fighting the Credits no less than 102 times. You'll get this one easily. As a side-tip, you get 100% clearance on the credits specifically by hitting the credits at blank spots. If you pay enough attention and don't skip the credits by pressing start, you'll probably get 99% with every single character at some point. 051- Clear Classic with five fighters. Prize- Master Hand (Trophy) You got the song already, now get the trophy. Kinda strange, but whatever. Just beat Classic on any difficulty with five characters. 052- Battle 3 or more times on the Find Mii stage in Smash. Prize- Dark Emperor (Trophy) Do you even need me to repeat it? Battle, win or lose, collect prize. 053- Win 5 Smash battles with Meta Knight. Prize- High-Speed Drill [stop snickering] (Meta Knight Custom Attack) Again, you have to win. Just play as Meta Knight and win five times and you've got this one. 054- Unlock the hidden character Mr. Game & Watch. Prize- Flat Zone 2 (Stage) Look up at Unlockable Characters. If you already unlocked Mr. Game & Watch before getting to the second Challenge Panel, you'll have gotten this one without realizing it. 055- Defeat Master Core. Prize- Master Core (Song) For the record, you just unlock the Master Core trophy like any other trophy, unlike the Master Hand trophy. As for this challenge, you just have to win. Look up at the Master Core section if you're having trouble. 056- Get 20 or more KOs by countering in StreetSmash. Prize- First Striker Agility Badge (Custom Equipment Item) Just use a hammer. I don't even know what counts as a counter on StreetSmash, but this one is just annoying. The Practice idea noted above on Challenge 047 may work, but I used a hammer on this one too because StreetSmash annoys me. 057- Hit Sandbag 600m/1968 ft. or more in Home-Run Contest. Prize- Home-Run Bat Agility Badge (Custom Equipment Item) This one is a little frustrating, but far from impossible. Just deal sufficent damage to Sandbag before launching him at the last second. You can hit a Home Run in the first three seconds for massive damage, though this may not be wise if you have a combo to use that needs it in a specific spot. 058- Get 30 or more KOs in Endless Smash. Prize- Fire Stingray (Trophy) Play Endless Smash, get 30 K.O's, then jump off the stage to claim your new Trophy. 059- Play Smash Run 5 times. Prize- Level 2 Horizon Beam (Smash Run Power) Win or lose, just play five rounds of Smash Run. Considering you need to win with five different characters, this is another one you'll accidentally get. 060- Unlock every stage. Prize- Tortimer Island (Trophy) Go to the Unlockable Stages section and complete their requirements to unlock them. Another easy enough Challenge. 061- Play 10 collective hours of Smash. (Total gameplay x participants.) Prize- Knuckle Joe (Trophy) While you would need to play in Smash for 10 hours to get this by yourself, if you play any type of versus with three friends, you'll get this in less than two hours of playing. 062- Win 10 Smash battles with Samus. Prize- Samus' Helment (Custom Headgear) Another basic and obvious one. Win ten rounds of versus as Samus. That really is it. 063- Collect 15 unique special moves. Prize- Smash Ball Attractor Agility Badge (Custom Equipment Item) There are six unlockable moves per character (excluding the Mii Fighters) making there around 288 unlockable moves total. You need 15 to get this. Just play through Classic and Smash Run a few times and you'll get this one in no time. 064- Collect 5 unique custom outfits. Prize- Spartan Helmet (Custom Headgear) Just get two more custom outfits. You'll probably get them while getting various items and moves for different characters. 065- Get 300 KOs in Smash. Prize- Critical Hitter Brawn Badge (Custom Equipment Item) Another simple and literal Challenge. Challenge 041 already as a way to rack up the K.O's easily. 066- Play Home-Run Contest with 15 or more fighters. Prize- Quick Batter Brawn Badge (Custom Equipment Item) You can get a final combined score of 0 for all it matters with this one, just play a round of Home-Run Contest with 15 different fighters. 067- Create 8 or more Mii Fighters in Custom. Prize- Top Hat (Custom Headgear) Create and save eight different Mii Fighters. They can be different and unique, or they can be eight junk fighters named Rick for all it matters. Delete the ones you don't want after getting this one. 068- Collect 10 unique custom headgear items. Prize- Plate Armor (Custom Outfit) You'll almost definitely get this just by completing other challenges. All you need is ten different headgear items to get this. Also, this outfit does count towards getting five unique outfits, so this is an easy way to kill two birds with one stone. 069- Clear All-Star on Normal. Prize- Medusa, Queen of the Underworld (Trophy) Exactly what it sounds like. Just win once on Normal or higher and you've got this one. If you beat it on Hard then you'll also complete a Challenge in Challenge Panel 3. 070- Have the game on for more than 8 hours. Prize- Meloetta (Pokemon) Literally just have the game on for more than 8 hours. You could keep the game on the menu for a day straight and get this one. That's every Challenge Panel for the Normal difficulty. All that's left is the Hard ones, the third tier of challenges. But Hard does not mean impossible, and overcoming the Hard panel isn't actually unbelievably difficult. [5.3] Challenge Panel 3 071- Clear Classic on intensity 9.0. Prize- Ketzal's Corridors (Trophy) There's no easy way to do this. You can even hammer it. You just have to choose your favorite character and play. The only way you can make this easier is by going down the easiest paths before getting to Master Core. 072- Hit Sandbag 1000m/3280 ft. or more in Home-Run Contest. Prize- Level 3 Ore Club (Smash Run Power) This one sounds absurd, and it's certainly rude, but it's far from impossible. Choosing Ganondorf, using his side-Smash (Side-A, His elbow attack) two or three times, then using his forward stomp (Tilt-A, looks like a standing kick forward) a few times, you'll have Sandbag hurting bad. Get in position and hit him with a Reverse Warlock Punch (where Ganondorf turns around to give the Warlock Punch) and send Sandbag flying. Not that at no point you should grab the bat, you don't need it. Doing this will get you upwards of over 4000 feet. Special thanks to GameXplain for uploading a video you could use as reference. 073- Place first in 20 or more Smash Run final battles. Prize- Level 3 Dual Cyclone (Smash Run Power) This one requires significantly less explanation than the one above. Win 20 times in Smash Run. That's all. 074- Create 10 custom characters in Custom. Prize- Air Defender Protection Badge (Custom Equipment Item) Just customize more fighters to get this. Once you customize ten fighters, you've got another one. 075- Get 50 or more KOs in a single Rival Smash. Prize- Level 3 Recovery (Smash Run Power) This essentially means win emphatically in Rivan Smash. This one's pretty easy to just do. Choose your favorite fighter and do it. If you're having a lot of trouble with this one, you can play Rival Smash with a buddy and just ask them to wait while you get fifty K.O's, but this one isn't worth that much trouble. 076- Get at least 110 KOs in 3-Minute Smash. Prize- Crouch Healer Protection Badge (Custom Equipment Item) Not one hundred, but 110. That's not a typo. You can use the Donkey Kong Down+B method, but this isn't too hard to just accomplish this your favorite hard-hitting fighter. 077- Unlock all custom specials, headgear, and outfits. Prize- Michaela (Trophy) Unless you are the luckiest Smash player alive, just hammer this. There are over 350 different things you need to get, and just about all of them are completely random and you can get duplicates, not to mention that you need to complete every Challenge that has an unlockable custom too. They will also pop up as duplicates too. 078- Destroy 3000 blocks in Trophy Rush. Prize- Pop Gun Explosion (Diddy Kong Custom Attack You need to play Trophy Rush a lot to get 600 trophies for another challenge, so you'll just get this one by trying to get more trophies. 079- Clear Classic with all fighters. Prize- Crazy Hand (Trophy) Exactly what it sounds like. You can do this on Intensity 0.0 or 9.0 with everyone and it doesn't matter, just beat it with everyone. Including the three different Mii Fighters. 080- Clear 100-Man Battle in under 3 minutes. Prize- Easy Combination (Marth Custom Attack) A later challenge requires you to clear 100-Man Battle with all characters. If you don't get this after playing through the mode 51 times, just use Donkey Kong's Down+B and steal the win. 081- Walk at least 50km/31 miles total between all fighters. Prize- Walking Speed Attack Badge (Custom Equipment Item) There's no easy way to do this. Just keep walking forever. You'll get this just by playing. 082- Clear 10-Man Smash within 20 seconds. Prize- Quick Smash Defense Badge (Custom Equipment Item) You have to clear 10-Man Smash with all fighters anyway, if you dont' get it by the end of doing that then just Donkey Kong Down+B this challenge. 083- Land over 400 total hits between all fighters in Training. Prize- Leaper Agility Badge (Custom Equipment Item) Do the Smart Bomb trick noted in the other Training Combo challenges with four or five different characters and you'll have this one in seconds. 084- Clear All-Star with all fighters. Prize- Crown (Custom Headgear) Easy, Normal, or Hard. It doesn't matter, just clear it with everyone once. Including Mii Fighters. 085- Clear all red targets in Target Blast. Prize- Steampunk Clothes (Custom Outfit) This is partly luck-based, but you only need to do it on one of the two rounds. You need to play through Target Blast with all characters for another challenge, but if you don't get it after that, this became more annoying. The best you can do is pay attention to the Targets on Round 2, where there are much less Targets you'd need to break. Aim well, time it right, and hope for the best. 086- Have a total high score of over 15000m/49212 ft. between all fighters in Home-Run Contest. Prize- Sandbag (Trophy) That essentially means get little over 1000 feet with every character. Just play through Home-Run Contest with everyone and you'll get this with ease. 087- Collect 500 or more unique trophies. Prize- Luigi with Poltergust 3000 (Trophy) Trophy Rush is your friend, play it as much as you need to until you get this. If you're low on Coins, play through Classic a few times. 088- Clear Solo 10-Man Smash with all fighters. Prize- Kat & Ana (Trophy) Exactly what it sounds like. This one's a bit tedious, but not hard at all. 089- Score 200000 or more in Target Blast. Prize- Explosive Punch (Mario Custom Special) Still partly luck. Deal enough damage to the bomb before you send it flying. Just like Challenge 085, aim well, time it right, and hope for the best. You should hopefully get this while playing through Target Blast with everyone. 090- Clear Solo 100-Man Smash with all fighters. Prize- Shadow (Trophy) This one is both tedious and annoying. Again, just clear it with everyone. If there's a character that you can't complete it with and it's frustrating you, just play through with other fighters and take a deep breath. 091- Play 50 collective hours of Smash. (Total gameplay x participants) Prize- Color TV-Game 15 (Trophy) Remember, this is specifically Smash. 50 collective hours of Versus. Remember that this is much easier with more friends to play with, since the total amount of time is cut down to a mere fourth of what you originally needed. 092 [Smash Run Power] Lv. 3 Shuffle Place first in Smash Run final battles with all fighters. Win Smash Run with all 51 fighters to unlock a new power. No real strategy, just win. This is technically easier to do against computers, since your buddies will likely be trying to win as well.- 093- Jump at least 10km/6 miles total between all fighters. Prize- Level 3 High Jump (Smash Run Power) Another one you'll just get by playing the game. Just take to the air as much as you'd like and you'll complete this challenge. 094- Play Target Blast with all fighters. Prize- Dark Train (Trophy) You have to do just that, finish a round of Target Blast with everybody. One point or 200000, it doesn't matter what you get as long as you finish. 095- Get 20 KOs by knocking foes into other foes in StreetSmash. Prize- Green Koopa Troopa (Trophy) Just like every other StreetSmash Challenge, it's probably best to just hammer this one if you don't live in a hotspot for StreetSmash hits. If doing this in Practice mode does indeed count, then that works too. 096- Get a max combo of 100 or more in Training. Prize- Protective Gear (Custom Outfit) Another one you probably already got if you've read through the Challenge list. All you have to do is drop four Smart Bombs in front of your opponent and throw one. Best done on flat stages. If you're having trouble, mix it up by putting two in front and two behind the training dummy. 097- Have the game on for more than 20 hours. Prize- Princess' Crown (Custom Headgear) Leave your 3DS on Menu for a night or two if you really can't wait to get this
one just by naturally playing. Literally anything you do will count towards this, unless you manage to play the game while it's turned off. 098- Get 4 or more KOs in Cruel Smash. Prize- Lion Hat (Custom Headgear) This one is, pardon the pun, absolutely cruel. The "easiest" way to do this is by doing it with a friend. It reduces the amount of enemies to three at a time, and it means you both can help each other if you're in a pinch. Whether or not you have a friend to help, a good character to choose would be one that can counter. Another strategy would be to use Kirby, King Dedede, or Yoshi to spit the enemies off the stage, since the computer can't use special moves to get back to the stage. 099- Clear All-Star on Hard. Prize- Nintendoji (Trophy) Choose your favorite character and beat All-Star on Hard. It's not too difficult since nothing really changes, but check in the All Star section of this guide if you need any tips for who to look out for. 100- Get 1000 KOs in Smash. Prize- Launch Skill Attack Badge (Custom Equipment Item) Once again, see Challenge 041 for how to do this as fast as possible. It's tedious, but not hard. 101- Get 2 or more KOs in Cruel Smash. Prize- Shield Exploder Protection Badge (Custom Equipment Item) You likely got this by going for Challenge 098, but if you haven't then just look up at the aforementioned Challenge for how to get this one. 102- Get 200 or more KOs in Endless Smash. Prize- Level 3 Launch Ring (Smash Run Power) Either just get to 200 with your favorite fighter and then K.O. yourself, or use Donkey Kong's Down+B to get this one. 103 [Custom Headgear] Prince's Crown Collect all Smash Run Powers. Again with the luck. If you don't want to use another hammer, then just use this Challenge List as a checklist for which Smash Run powers you need to unlock instead of just getting them randomly. 104- Clear All-Star with 15 fighters. Prize- All-Star Rest Area (Music) You already need to clear All-Star with everyone, this is one of the Challenges you'll complete while trying to accomplish one of the other Challenges. 105- Collect 600 or more unique trophies. Prize- Wentworth (Trophy) Just keep playing Trophy Rush until you get this one. It isn't terribly difficult, but getting 600 may take a bit. And that's every Challenge in the game. Noted below are the bonus prizes you get for completing a full Challenge Panel. Panel 1 Prize- Super Star (Trophy) Panel 2 Prize- Tutorial Pig (Trophy) Panel 3 Prize- Gold Bone (Trophy) [6.0] Closing Thanks A big thank you to the SmashWiki for the information available to help ensure that this article is as accurate as possible!
