It can be acquired by entering a special code into the Nintendo eShop. It lists the rewards you can get as well as some other small tidbits, along with a Walkthrough, though it is a very simple game. It only takes about 10-15 minutes for the first run, if even that. Then, about five minutes for every additional run. I hope you find some use for this guide. ============================================================================== TABLE OF CONTENTS [ToC] ============================================================================== Use Ctrl + F to skip to specific sections, simply search for the letters within the brackets listed below. 1.) English, Japanese, etc. Note that you cannot change this once it has been done. The language selected will likely determine region too, so setting to Japanese will give you the Japanese region reward (As far as I know. I have not tested this concretely yet. If someone sends an email to confirm or deny, that would be nice.) Then, you will start up and be launched straight in the game. There is no gender option, nor any option for your name. (English default is male named Orlando). You cannot nickname your starter Pokemon, but can nickname the one you catch at the end. There is no save option, either! You have to complete it in a single run before it saves. A run only takes about 10-20 minutes, however. You start off with Hyper Potion (x3) and Full Heal (x3) in your bag. ============================================================================== WALKTHROUGH [WLK] ============================================================================== --FIRST RUN [1ST] This is the "First Run," which will differ slightly from all the runs afterward. If you have already completed the first run, then skip to the second run section! ---------------------------- MOSSDEEP CITY [F01] ----------------------------- After a brief scene, you will be asked to select a Pokemon! Choose from either: Grovyle [Grass], Combusken [Fire], or Marshtomp [Water]. Grovyle LV 35 (M) -Ability: Overgrow -Type: Grass Moves: Leaf Blade [Grass/Physical] Aerial Ace [Flying/Physical] Slam [Normal/Physical] Agility [Psychic/Status] Combusken LV 35 (M) -Ability: Blaze -Type: Fire Moves: Flamethrower [Fire/Special] Double Kick [Fighting/Physical] Slash [Normal/Physical] Bulk Up [Fighting/STatus] Marshtomp LV 35 (M) -Ability: Torrent -Type: Water Moves: Waterfall [Water/Physical] Mud Bomb [Ground/Special] Rock Slide [Rock/Physical] Protect [Normal/Status] After you choose, you will be launched into battle! TEAM MAGMA GRUNT (1200 P) -POOCHYENA LV 30 (M) 360 EXP -Type: Dark -Moves: Bite [Dark/Physical] Tackle [Normal/Physical] Tail Whip [Normal/Status] After the battle, you are free to explore the town! Well, "free" in the sense that you can run around. All the doors are locked, and all you can do is talk to NPCs. When you are done with that, talk to Steven! (In front of the Pokemon Center). --------------------------- MYSTERY ISLAND [F02] ----------------------------- Pokemon in Tall Grass: Slakoth, Linoone Head North to find two Team Magma Grunts standing at the cave entrance. You will see a brief scene, followed by a battle! TEAM MAGMA GRUNT (1200 P) -ZUBAT LV 30 (M) 315 EXP -Type: Poison/Flying -Moves: Leech Life [Bug/Physical] You get instantly taken into another battle. TEAM MAGMA GRUNT (1200 P) -NUMEL LV 30 (F) 319 EXP -Type: Fire/Ground -Moves: Curse [Ghost/Status] Amnesia [Psychic/Status] After this battle, it is likely your starter will evolve (if you fought a few wild battles, too. You can go back to Steven to heal your Pokemon if needed. Now, go north and enter the cave. ------------------------------ ISLAND CAVE [F03] ----------------------------- Pokemon found in Tall Grass: Loudred, Nosepass, You will enter and see a scene. You will be thrown into battle! TEAM AQUA GRUNT (1200 P) -POOCHYENA LV 30 (M) 360 EXP -Type: Dark -Moves: Bite [Dark/Physical] Tackle [Normal/Physical] You will then enter another fight instantly. TEAM AQUA GRUNT (1200 P) -CARVANHA LV 30 (F) 360 EXP -Ability: Rough Skin -Type: Dark/Water Your partner will heal your Pokemon up after the above battle. Now head north in the cave to run into two more people. If you had Grovyle, it will forget Agility and learn Frenzy Plant here. If you chose Combusken, you will forget Bulk Up and gain Blast Burn, and if Marshtomp, then you lose Protect for Hydro Cannon. You will also receive the MEGA BRACELET. You will gain the mega stone of whichever Pokemon you chose earlier, too. You will then go into a double battle! DOUBLE BATTLE (6400 P) Magma Admin Tabitha and Aqua Admin Matt Magma Admin Tabitha -Camerupt LV 32 (M) -Type: Fire/Ground Aqua Admin Matt -Sharpedo LV 32 (M) -Ability: Rough Skin -Type: Dark/Water Partner Steven -Metagross LV 45 -Type: Psychic/Steel -Moves: Giga Impact After the battle, go down the stairs to your left, and follow the winding path to an exit. You will be back outside. The path is straightforward, winding around to another tunnel entrance. Go in to get to where Steven is. Steven will talk to you, giving you Poke Balls (x5)! Now step into the tall grass to face: GLALIE LV 40 (F) -Ability: Inner Focus -Type: Ice -Item: Glalitite Moves: Ice Fang [Ice/Physical] Headbutt [Normal/Physical] Protect [Normal/Status] Frost Breath [Ice/Special] Aim to capture it. Weaken it a little before throwing a Poke Ball, though often just throwing a Poke Ball at it seemed to work. Feel free to name it! You will then be taken back to Mossdeep City, and the playthrough ends! ============================================================================== --SECOND RUN [2ND] and Beyond This is if you cleared the first run already! You will now have the Glalie you caught before, and the other two starters you did not get to pick. They will also have their mega stones with them! Now the way this works is that talking to Steven will send you to random scenarios. There are four types, and will take place on one of several random maps, with random trainers on them. As such, the scenarios are listed below, and maps/trainers separately. After each scenario, the playthrough "ends." The scenarios are listed with the dialogue Steven uses right before to give you a better idea of which one is which. They have different objectives, each are pretty simple. Clearing Bonuses: -When you clear it a second time, more NPCs appear. -When you clear it a third time, you will be able to send a set of Poke Balls to the Pokemon Link. -When you clear it a fourth time, more NPCs appear. the Pokemon Center) -When you clear it a fifth time, you will be able to send a set of Heal Balls to the Pokemon Link. -When you clear it a sixth time, more NPCs appear. center) -When you clear it a seventh time, more NPCs appear. -When you clear it an eighth time, more NPCs appear. in the south) -When you clear it a ninth time, it will notify you to play one more time for Heart Scales! -When you clear it a tenth time, you will be able to send another set of Heart Scales to the Pokemon Link. -No more rewards after ten. NPCs that appear when it notes that NPCs have been added: -Flannery and TV Crew (West Beach) -Swimmers (West Beach) -Cyclist (Right of Pokemon Center) -Rich Boy (Right of Pokemon Center) -Wattson (Viewpoint) -Brawly and Roxanne (South) -Magma/Aqua Grunts (West Beach) ---------------------------- Scenario A [S01] ------------------------------- "I happen to know of some Pokemon Trainers doing special training on a certain island nearby. I'll ask you to take them on in Pokemon battle." These scenarios see you to fighting three trainers of the same type. Simply find and defeat the three trainers on the maps. (Refer to Trainers section to all the trainers avaliable). ---------------------------- Scenario B [S02] ------------------------------- "I heard that someone had gotten lost on a particular island near here. Orlando, I trust that I can count on your assistance in helping the poor little thing." You are looking for a missing person. They are not too hard to find, they appear as a small child. Talk to them to complete the mission. You do not have to fight any trainers, though they are on the map and will fight you if they see you. ---------------------------- Scenario C [S03] ------------------------------- "I'm setting out to search for a Pokemon said to inhabit a certain island nearby. Come along and lend me a hand, Orlando." He will either be looking for Shroomish or Skitty. Head to the grass on whatever map you are on, and search around the holes that are in the patches of grass. The mission is over when you find the Pokemon. ---------------------------- Scenario D [S04] ------------------------------- "My, my! It seems someone has sent you a challenge. He appears to have recognized your skill as a Trainer and now wishes to ask you for a battle!" "My, my! It seems someone has sent you a challenge. It seems this is a new challenger, not the elderly gentleman from last time." I put these in the same category as they are the same map/objective. Go defeat the trainer. Note for both of them, you have the Pokemon that can easily beat the Pokemon in their party. You simply have to counter what they have with what they are weak against. Send out Marshtomp against Blaziken, or Blaziken against Absol, etc. EXPERT TIMOTHY (2960 P) -HARIYAMA LV 30 (M) -Type: Fighting -ABSOL LV 37 (M) -Ability: Pressure -Type: Dark -SWELLOW LV 36 (M) -Type: Normal/Flying EXPERT THEODORE (3360 P) -BLAZIKEN LV 40 (M) -Type: Fire/Flying -SCEPTILE LV 40 (M) -Type: Grass -SWAMPERT LV 40 (M) -Type: Water/Ground -HARIYAMA LV 42 (M) -Type: Fighting ---------------------------- SECRET MISSIONS [S05] --------------------------- There are some secret missions, meaning incredibly hard to get. This is a list of the known ones. I have not gotten these myself, so if anyone has has any information on it, please email me! Mission 1: You double battle with May against either Team Aqua or Team Magma. Afterward, you can repeat the mission by seeing Steven. Mission 2: You find a man who offers you Nuggest to take to the main game. It can be done multiple times. Thanks to Serebii.net for the above. If anyone has gotten this mission and gives details, that would be much appreciated! ============================================================================== TRAINERS [TRN] ============================================================================== This is the list of randomly generated Trainers that will appear in the various scenarios.
