Contact Information ========================= I. INTRODUCTION ========================= Saint Seiya game is an adaptation from famous manga written by Masami Kurumada with the same title which later became an anime series. The anime series itself was still airing in Japan TV while I wrote this FAQ. Though Saint Seiya history has walked through decade, only a few games were found to be related with this series, and Saint Seiya Ougon Densetsu was the first one. The latest Saint Seiya game was made for PS2 system. Personally, I think Saint Seiya Ougon Densetsu game was not well managed. Those who never watched Saint Seiya anime series might found that this game is stupid and boring. It's rather impossible for a newbie to finish this game in one time run, unless they use walkthrough or some cheat codes. However, if you're a big fan of Saint Seiya series or just a game mania who seek for challenge, then you can use this walkthrough to help you out, especially because this game is in Japanese language only. ======================== II. GAME PLAY BASIC ======================== II.1. KEY BUTTON ---------------- Arrow Pad = Move your character B button = Punch A button = Jump Select button = Enter MENU screen Special Move: Meteor Wave Punch - Press B repeatedly (very useful to kill enemies in a row and gain a lot experience points) Jump Kick - Press A while jumping (useful to beat enemy around) Jump Punch - Press B while jumping (useful for breaking some pillars) II.2. CHARACTER STATISTIC ------------------------- Like a common RPG game, your character power is divided into several aspects (such as attack, defense, HP, MP, etc.) and expressed by number. In this game, though you will have 5 characters, there is only one character stats and that belong to Seiya. Other characters are assumed to have similar power as Seiya, though they're practically always weaker than Seiya. COSMO Cosmo is required for using Pegasus cloth, performing attack - defense, and viewing enemy stats. Cosmo can be converted into damage points, where 2 cosmo point equal to 1 damage point. The maximum number of cosmo that can be displayed on the screen is 999, but actually you can have more than 999 cosmo. So even when you have 2000 cosmo, for example, the screen will only display 999. DAMAGE Damage point is similar to hit point in RPG, where your character will die if his damage point reach zero. Damage point can be added by taking some cosmo point (1 damage = 2 cosmo), and also can be transferred to become cosmo point. AP - Attack Power AP determine your attack power. Make sure you make it maximum as soon as possible. MP - (?) I don't know about this abbreviation since this game doesn't distinguish between physical attack and magical attack. Suppose that a veteran believe that Pegasus Ryuuseiken special move is a magical thing, then filling AP, DP, and HP, but leaving MP blank, is enough to perform Pegasus Ryuuseiken. All I know that this stats enhances your attack power. DP - Defense Power DP determines your defense power against enemy attack. Larger number means smaller damage that you receive when taking enemy attack. Make sure you make it maximum as soon as possible. HP - (?) I don't know also what is HP (surely it's not the same with the hit point which is commonly used in other RPG games). Anyone can help me? AS - (?) It seems that this value related with your character moving speed during adventure screen. JP - Jump This value determines your jumping ability. Higher value means you can jump higher. CP - (?) Again, I don't know about this point. II.3. MENU SCREEN ----------------- Menu screen can be accessed by pressing SELECT button during adventure screen. There are four options in menu screen. -------------------------------------------------- || Cloth Ability Transfer Password || -------------------------------------------------- CLOTH Use your Pegasus cloth (available after you defeat Casios and take Pegasus box). Selecting this option while you're wearing Pegasus cloth will discard Pegasus cloth. ** Attention ** Using Pegasus cloth during adventure screen will increase your movement speed and jump, but your cosmo will be drained. ABILITY / NOURYOKU Selecting this menu will open ability screen where you can increase and decrease ability points, experience, damage point, and cosmo. See the previous CHARACTER STATISTIC section for an explanation of parameters in this screen. TRANSFER / IDOU Saori (a woman with purple hair) will appear and offer you to reach particular location instantly. The available locations are varying depends on the game storyline. PASSWORD This option will display password (in hiragana letter) which you can use to continue your game. II.4. BATTLE SYSTEM ------------------- When Seiya meet another Saint as enemy, the adventure screen will be changed into battle screen. There are four main options in this screen: ------------------------------------------- || ATTACK FLEE TALK FRIENDS || ------------------------------------------- ATTACK / tatakau Before you attack the enemy, you need to determine/adjust how much power you will use. Use up-down arrow button to move the cursor, left-right button to fill or defill your power meter, A button to confirm and start the attack, and B button to return to main options. During filling your power meter, you can also press "select" button to view your enemy stats (only works when you fight as Seiya), but doing this will consume your cosmo. Once you press A button, the fight will begin. The first side to attack is determined randomly. If you attack, there will be two options: PUNCH (left side) and KICK (right side). Believe me, don't ever choose kick if you don't want to waste your cosmo and chance. When the enemy is about to attack, sometimes you are given two options: GUARD (left side) and EVADE (right side). EVADE giving a chance to evade the enemy attack and remain unharmed, but the chances is so slim. ///Interlude 1 - The Gold Cloth/// After you defeat Ikki Phoenix (the real one), you will have a chance to attack the enemy using Gold Cloth. It is randomly appear, just like a critical hit in other RPG that double your attack strength. Gold Cloth only appear if you're fighting as SEIYA and fully fill all AP, MP, DP, and HP meter. /// FLEE / nigeru Run from battle, if your enemies allow it (mostly they don't, and begin to strike you if you choose to flee). TALK / hanasu Talk to your enemy. In some battle, doing this will give you additional cosmo or other special effects. However, in most case the enemy will strike you if you try to talk with him/her. FRIENDS / nakama Switch to another character (if other characters available). I didn't find any advantage on this option because other character's power is always weaker than Seiya. In addition, Seiya is the only one who can wear gold cloth (after you beat Phoenix Ikki), thus switching to other character won't give you any advantage. Basically, the battle system is turn-based. Compared to other games which use turn-based system (like mainly RPG game did), the battle system in this game is very tedious and really affected by your luck (not by your ability). Though the programmer created a unique battle system, but it was not well planned. If you're lucky, you strike first. If you don't, the enemy will attack you first. Another thing which was not well managed is when you and your enemy have no cosmo left. Both of you cannot fill the stats meter and cannot harm each other, leaving the battle endlessly without no winner. If your damage is zero then you die, but if your cosmo is zero then you can't win either because you don't have any chance to harm your enemy. ================== III. WALKTHROUGH ================== III.0. STARTING GAME -------------------- When you start a new game, you will be asked to input your birthday in 19yy/mm/dd format. The game will then determine your zodiac sign (western zodiac) from your birth date, and this will affect your initial statistic. I didn't find any effect with the birth year. In addition, the starting number of an ability point also describes the difficulty to increase that point (like a "talent"). The smaller number that you get, the more difficult to increase it (like a "weakness point"). For example, if you enter birth date as an Aries, you will notice that your MP and HP value are 3 at the beginning (see the table below). It indicates that you need only fewer experience points to increase those ability points into maximum. Next, you see that the starting value for DP, AS, and CP are 1, which also mean that you need large amount of experience points to increase those ability points. AP MP DP HP AS JP CP Aries 2 3 1 3 1 2 1 Taurus 1 2 2 3 3 1 1 Gemini 2 1 1 2 3 3 1 Cancer 3 3 2 1 1 2 1 Leo 3 2 1 1 3 2 1 Virgo 2 1 2 1 3 3 1 Libra 1 3 3 2 1 2 1 Scorpio 1 1 2 3 2 3 1 Sagittarius 2 1 3 3 2 1 1 Capricorn 3 2 3 2 1 1 1 Aquarius 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 Pisces 3 3 1 2 2 1 1 For beginner, I will suggest to input your birth date as Capricorn, as you can see from the table that it is easy to improve your battle skill. When you need high jump in adventure screen, all you have to do is temporarily reduce your AP, MP, DP, HP, and give the experience point to JP. After you finish your jump and ready for battle, simply reduce the JP point and return the experience points to AP, MP, DP, and HP. If you're looking for challenge, try to use Gemini or Scorpio as they will find difficulties to increase their battle stats. III.1. THE PEGASUS CLOTH ------------------------ Here we start in Greece, where Seiya is going to fight for Pegasus cloth. At first, you will have a training with Marin, who is Seiya's teacher. Marin ===== Cosmo 200 Damage 20 AP 03 MP 02 DP 03 HP 02 At the beginning of the battle, when four options appear, choose TALK (if you forget which one is "talk", then choose the third option, or refer back to previous BATTLE SYSTEM chapter of this FAQ). You will receive 16 additional cosmos after talking to Marin. Nothing much can be done in a battle, as I described previously that the battle in this game is very tedious. You just need to fill up all you stats and strike her using punch (do not ever choose kick because it is weaker than punch). Once you defeat Marin, walk further and you will see that Casios and Pope (the one who stand near the box) are waiting for you. You gained some experience point after beating Marin, so use it to increase your attack power (AP) or defense power (DP). After some talk, Casios will step toward you and the battle begins. Casios 1st encounter ==================== Cosmo 20 Damage 10 AP 02 MP 01 DP 03 HP 01 Look at his stats, this guy is really a wimp and weaker than Marin. Since you already beat Marin, you should win this battle easily (if you lose in this battle, you should stop playing this game). Once you beat this wimp into pulp, go talk with the pope and take Pegasus cloth in the box. From now, you can use Pegasus cloth by selecting the first option in MENU screen. You can also move to other locations by selecting TRANSFER in menu screen. After you receive Pegasus cloth, press select (menu screen), and then return to adventure screen. You will see a bunch of wandering enemies with yellow color appear. You can beat them using meteor wave-punch (refer to section II.1 for meteor wave punch) for collecting experience points. It is strongly recommended that you beat them for experience point because it will make your next battle easier. Enter MENU screen by pressing select button, choose the third option, and Saori (a woman with purple hair) will give you three options to go: --------------------------------------------------------- || Kido House, Kojin (church), Galaxian Wars (stadium) || --------------------------------------------------------- Choose Kido house and you will be transferred right in front of Kido house gate. III.2. Galaxian Wars Tournament ---------------------------------- Enter the Kido House (by pressing up button). The guy with black suit is Tatsumi. He has served Kido family for long time and he will tell you that young mistress (Saori) is waiting. Move to the right, and enter the third room where Saori is waiting and tell you to visit Kojin. Get out from the house, choose TRANSFER in menu screen, and choose the second option. In this church, you will meet Miho who is seiya's childhood friend. Seiya is asking about his sister, but Miho doesn't know anything. She suggest Seiya to enter the Galaxian Wars tournament, so his sister might be able to notice him there. After talking, you will receive 10 cosmo. Go back to Kido house, and enter the room where you met Saori before. A fellow in that room will give you 30 cosmo. Go out from Kido house and walk to the right. At the end, you will find a stadium where the Galaxian Wars tournament is held. Enter the stadium and Dragon Shiryuu is waiting for you. Make sure you increase your DP and AP using experience point which you gained from Casios or wandering enemy (see section III.1) and wear your Pegasus cloth before fighting Shiryuu. Maybe you need to maximize your damage point also. Dragon Shiryuu ============== Cosmo 100 Damage 20 AP 05 MP 04 DP 03 HP 04 At the beginning of the battle, choose TALK and you will get additional cosmo. Shiryuu might be a trouble since his AP is high, but lucky his damage point is low. Not much tactic involved here, just fill up your stat meters to maximum. After you defeat Dragon, discard your cloth and get out from the stadium. Walk to the left and you will see an intersection road (there is a red mailbox). Press up button to turn, and if you proceed further, you will arrive in front of an hospital. /// Interlude 2 - Increase Your COSMO /// Every time after your beat one saint, you can do this trick to increase your cosmo. Go to the hospital, but before you enter the hospital, press select and choose ABILITY (the second option). Then reduce your damage point to 1 and your cosmo will increase (1 damage point = 2 cosmo points). Enter the hospital, and the nurse will recover your damage point to maximum. Your maximum damage point is affected by your power stats (AP, MP, etc.). Normally, the hospital will recover your damage point only once after a battle,So make sure you do this trick after beating one saint. /// Visit Kido house, move to right and enter the first room, where you can meet Miho and she will give 50 cosmo. Go back to stadium and get ready for facing Cygnus Hyouga (don't forget to increase your AP/DP and wear Pegasus cloth). Cygnus Hyouga ============ Cosmo 120 Damage 25 AP 07 MP 05 DP 04 HP 03 Damn! This guy is stronger than Shiryuu. Anyway, choose TALK at the beginning of the battle and you will get additional cosmo. After you beat Cygnus, go to hospital and do the same trick to increase your cosmo. Then visit Kido house, turn to left (don't enter the first room since you only get 20 cosmo from talking with Tatsumi), cross the second room, and enter the first room that you see. In there, you will get 50 cosmo after talking with Saori. Go back to Stadium to face Andromeda Shun. Andromeda Shun ============== Cosmo 80 Damage 20 AP 04 MP 03 DP 05 HP 03 This time it's useless to talk with Shun because you won't get any cosmo. Shun is weaker than two previous opponents, except his (yes, Shun is a man) DP is higher. After the battle, Ikki appears on the top and takes the Gold cloth (which is supposed to be the tournament prize). Andromeda tells Seiya to go out from stadium and after him. III.3. PHOENIX IKKI =================== On the street, a bunch of warriors will appear. Since they keep appearing, you can use this chance to build your experience point and increase your stats. Especially when you turn to the road that leads to hospital, two enemies will appear and you can beat them with meteor-wave punch. Get off from this road by moving to left, and then go back again by pressing up button, and you can repeat this method until you got enough experience points (in my case, I collected more than 300 experience points from this method and then maximize AP to 20). Use your meteor-wave punch to beat them. Don't use normal punch to beat them because it's too risky when you're close to them. Ignore the enemy with roman helmet, because they are difficult to be knocked out. Pay visit to hospital and do the trick to increase your cosmo. Move to Kido house, but do not enter the house. Move to right, and you will see an intersection road. Turn to that road by pressing UP button, and keep moving right until you reach a park gate where Black Phoenix is waiting. BLACK PHOENIX ============== Cosmo 60 Damage 15 AP 04 MP 02 DP 02 HP 02 Another wimp and he won't bring you any trouble (you can also choose Hyouga by selecting the fourth option now). After you finish him off, go back to hospital (you know what to do), and visit Kido house. Enter the third room on the right, meet Saori, and she will ask you take back the gold cloth from Phoenix Ikki. Go out from Kido house, open TRANSFER menu screen, and you will notice three new destinations: ------------------------------------------------ || Fuji-no-Fuuketsu Gorouhou Muu-no-Yakata || ------------------------------------------------ Gourouhou and Muu no Yakata are side stories which give you additional cosmo and damage point. You don't have to go there if you don't want to, but I suggest at least you visit Mu-no-Yakata to gain experience and improve your power. Gourouhou --------- Jump to the house and enter. You will meet Shunrei and she will ask whether you're Shiryuu's friend or not. Just answer yes (the first option), and then she will tell you that Roushi (Shiryuu's teacher) is not in here, and ask if you want to look him in cave. Answer "yes" by selecting the first option. Get out from the house, push down + jump button to fall into lower part of the mountain, and enter the cave. Proceed to right, be careful of the pit (If you fall into a pit, use your cloth, and jump to escape as soon as possible because the pit condition will drain your damage point). At the end of this cave, a voice (script) will appear, maybe it's Roushi voice. Get out from the cave, and jump into pit where the waterfall is (I am serious, just jump into it). The waterfall stream will be reversed and you will get some cosmo (in Anime, this is when Shiryuu was going to take the Dragon cloth behind the waterfall. His power is so strong that the waterfall stream was reversed and water shape turn into dragon). You can only do this one time. Muu no Yakata ------------- When you first arrived, a group of skeleton knights will told you to go home. Choose the second option (mean: I won't go home). This place is strange. If you press left button, then you will instantly fall and die. Start proceeding to right carefully and stop if you meet the skeleton knights (remember not to push left button). Beat all the skeleton using your meteor-wave punch since it give you a lot of experience. If you encounter flying skeleton, just jump vertically without pushing left direction. At the end of this area, you will meet Muu who can repair your cloth. Answer yes when he ask (choose the first option), and then he will tell you that the cloth reparation will take your life. Just answer yes (first option), and you won't die. Muu will give you additional damage point. You can repeatedly come to this place and beat the skeleton for large amount of experience. You will receive more than 100 experience points if you beat all skeletons in one time visit. Fuji no Fuuketsu ---------------- When you arrive in this area, move forward and enter the first door/tunnel that you encounter. You will be transferred into another room with golden wall. From there, watch your step and jump to the right (If you fall into a pit, use your cloth, and jump to escape as soon as possible because the pit condition will drain your damage point). As you proceed, you will see that blue pillar can be destroyed using your fist, and you will meet Black Phoenix. It's not difficult to defeat this loser. BLACK PHOENIX =============== Cosmo 60 Damage 18 AP 04 MP 04 DP 02 HP 02 /// INTERLUDE 3 - Visiting Hospital from Fuji-no-Fuuketsu /// Once you reach this area, there's no option which can transfer you back to the town and visit hospital. However, after beating one black saint, you can do this trick to visit hospital: First, enter ABILITY menu screen and reduce your damage point to zero, and then get out from this screen. Of course Seiya will be dying, and then Seiya will wake up in the hospital with the same stats before. Get out from hospital, and bingo! You're in the town. Now, reduce your damage to 1 (which mean increasing your cosmo) and visit hospital back. Your damage point will be recovered. Then you can transfer back to Fuji-no-Fuuketsua and beat another black saint and visit hospital again with the same method. Cosmo is very essential, and it's important to increase your cosmo whenever it is possible. /// From the place where Black Phoenix was standing, keep moving to right, and enter the tunnel that you encounter. Again, you will be transferred back to blue-wall cave (be careful because the falling stalactite has the same color with the cave wall). Move the left, and enter another tunnel. Once you enter this tunnel, you will see a wall with a skull mark. Be careful, there is always an invisible pit on the floor exactly in the same position as the skull mark. Walk until you nearly approach the skull mark, and jump to cross the pit. If you are not sure, use your cloth and jump from far away. Keep proceeding to the right, and you will notice some pillar can be broken (this time, all pillar is in blue color) and you will meet Black Andromeda. BLACK ANDROMEDA ============ Cosmo 90 Damage 25 AP 05 MP 05 DP 05 HP 03 After you defeat him, you must return to the tunnel before you came here (by moving back and jump over the same invisible pit with skull mark). Just before the skull mark, a pillar might block you from landing on the land after jump crossing the pit. In this case, it's better to use your cloth to get cross (you don't have to take this return path if you used previous method for visiting hospital). Once you've returned, proceed to the right, but don't enter the next tunnel because it will transfer you to the golden-wall cave where you defeat Black Phoenix. Keep walking to the right, and you will meet Black Swan. BLACK SWAN ============ Cosmo 120 Damage 25 AP 06 MP 05 DP 05 HP 04 Next, you need to return to golden-wall cave, so move back and enter the tunnel where you came earlier from golden-wall cave (if you move back, the first tunnel that you encounter is the correct one). Once you have stepped again on the golden-wall cave, move to right and enter another tunnel. You will be transferred into cave with cyan (greenish) wall cave. Keep moving to left and you will encounter Black Dragon. BLACK DRAGON ============ Cosmo 140 Damage 30 AP 07 MP 07 DP 06 HP 06 Return to the golden-wall cave, and move to right. Here you will see another skull mark which, of course, tell you that there's an invisible pit on the floor. This time, instead of jumping it, fall into it! Am I serious? Yes, just fall into it, and you will be transferred into another golden-wall cave. Is it strange? Anyway, move to the left, break some pillars, and jump over the skull mark (hey! this time it is a real invisible pit, don't get fall), and after jumping several small pits, you will meet Black Pegasus. BLACK PEGASUS ============= Cosmo 80 Damage 20 AP 06 MP 06 DP 03 HP 03 After you defeat him, then it's time to meet Ikki Phoenix. If you use the previous method for visiting the hospital, then when you return to Fuji-no-fuuketsu you only need to move all your way to the right and meet Ikki at the end. If you decide to continue from where you met Black Pegasus, then move back to the right, and keep proceeding until the right-end of this cave. Then you will be transfered into blue-wall cave and keep moving to the right. Ignore all the tunnel that you encounter, break the pillar that block your way, jump over the skull mark and some visible pits, and you will find Ikki at the end of this cave. Ikki is strong, so make sure you increase your AP/DP before facing him. PHOENIX IKKI ============ Cosmo 160 Damage 50 AP 08 MP 08 DP 06 HP 07 After you beat Ikki Phoenix, now you can move to Kido House by selecting the first option in TRANSFER menu sreen. III.4. THE SILVER SAINTS ======================== Enter the Kido house, move to left, cross the second room, and find Saori behind the first door that you encounter. Saori will congratulate you and ask you to take a rest in your yacht house. Move out from Kido house and walk to the yacht house (you can reach it by moving to the right from the front of hospital). After you enter the yacht house, walk around the bed,and you will notice a letter from Cygnus which tell you that he's waiting in town park. Move to the park gate (where you fought black phoenix before), and enter the park by pressing UP button. There are many huge trees in this area. Jump to the top using branches, and fight Docrates on the top of the first tree. DOCRATES ======== Cosmo 200 Damage 50 AP 09 MP 07 MP 07 HP 08 Back to Kido house and Tatsumi will tell you that Saori was kidnapped and other friends are trying to stop the enemy. Move to the left, cross the second room, then move again to left, and enter the second room. In that room, you can see there are three lamps which were attached on the wall. A hidden room is located behind the wall where the most-left lamp was attached. Pass through the wall exactly below the most-left lammp, and you will arrive at a planetarium (which was used by Saori to talk to his grandpa). Wait for a moment, and the grandpa Kido will appear and tell you that Saori is the reincarnation of Goddess Athena. The old man will also give additional 100 cosmo. Go out from the house, move to right and Shiryuu will tell you that the enemy got away. Get back to Kido house and talk to Tatsumi. Then visit the hospital to do the cosmo trick, and go to the Stadium where you will meet Docrates for the second time. DOCRATES 2nd Encounter ===================== Cosmo 200 Damage 55 AP 10 MP 07 DP 06 HP 08 It seems that Saori is still being kidnapped, so go out from stadium, and this time you will encounter many silver saints. Near the intersection road that leads you to hospital, a silver saint is waiting: KAPERA ======= Cosmo 170 Damage 40 AP 06 MP 06 DP 04 HP 07 After beating Kapera, go to the hospital direction (don't forget to increase your cosmo by decreasing damage point and enter the hospital), and you will meet another silver saint: DANTE ======= Cosmo 180 Damage 50 AP 06 MP 06 DP 06 HP 08 Proceed to yacht house (don't forget to do the cosmo trick before, since the hospital is near), get out from another door, and you will arrive on the port. Move to the left and fight against Misty. MISTY ====== Cosmo 230 Damage 50 AP 07 MP 08 DP 06 HP 08 From here, go back to stadium (while visiting the hospital), and fight another silver saint: BABEL ====== Cosmo 200 Damage 50 AP 09 MP 08 DP 06 HP 07 Now go out from stadium, chasing Jamian who is taking Saori away. Jump to the upper cliff (it's easier if you wear Pegasus cloth), and meet that loser. JAMIAN ======= Cosmo 150 Damage 25 AP 06 MP 10 DP 04 HP 06 I think with your current power, all that you need is only fill up the AP meter and then attack. The exit from this cliff is located on the upper-right, so keep moving to top. Once you enter the cave, you will arrive at Kido house (visit the hospital before entering Kido house). Enter Kido house, move to the left, cross the second room, and enter the first room that you see. Saori will ask you all to go to Sanctuary. Go out from Kido house, wear Pegasus cloth, increase your stats, because your opponent is one of the Gold Saints, Leo Aioria. He was sent by the order of Pope to kill Seiya without knowing that Saori is the reincarnation of Athena: AIORIA ======= Cosmo 300 Damage 70 AP 13 MP 15 DP 10 HP 12 Did you see his stats? Cool, it must be hard to beat this guy. That was I thought, but lucky we got a trick. At the beginning of the battle, choose TALK. Seiya will tell him that Saori is Athena and he will be surprised. By then, his cosmo will become ZERO!! Without cosmo, he is just a wimp. III.5. ON THE WAY TO SANCTUARY ============================== From this point actually the storyline is different with the anime, and also the game proceeds linearly without any confusion. Go to sanctuary by selecting the first option in TRANSFER menu screen. Go to the right and you will meet Shaina, who is Casios' teacher. Shaina is actually in love with Seiya, but that doesn't make her to let you pass in this game. SHAINA ====== Cosmo 200 Damage 50 AP 07 MP 10 DP 06 HP 07 Keep running and jumping to the top-right. Use Pegasus cloth to make your way easier. At the top, enter Marin's house and you will notice there is a message from Marin which asked you to protect Athena. Get out from the house and fight against Casios. CASIOS 2nd Encounter ==================== Cosmo 40 Damage 25 AP 05 MP 03 DP 06 HP 03 Another loser appears. You only need to fill half of your AP to beat this guy. Keep moving to the right and you will arrive in a big mountain with many caves. There is no Silver Saints inside the caves, but some Athena statues can be founded inside. Each Athena statue gives you 100 cosmo which is useful since you can't visit hospital from this point on. Some caves are connected to the others. Maybe it's better not to enter any cave while you're still looking for Silver Saints in this area. First, you have to find 4 silver saints which I described below: MISTY 2nd Encounter ================= Cosmo 230 Damage 60 AP 07 MP 10 DP 07 HP 10 Misty is located right in top of your head when you first arrived in this area. BABEL 2nd Encounter ================= Cosmo 220 Damage 60 AP 09 MP 10 DP 06 HP 09 From the place where you met Misty, jump and you will find him. MOSES (a guy with one eye) ====== Cosmo 250 Damage 60 AP 10 MP 10 DP 05 HP 08 At the beginning of battle, talk with Moses and he will tell you that Marin is your sister. You will get additional cosmo by doing this. DOCRATES 3rd Encounter ===================== Cosmo 290 Damage 65 AP 12 MP 08 DP 07 HP 08 From the position where you beat Moses, move to right and jump to other side. You can meet Docrates in that side. After you beat all of them, a silver saints will appear. His position is near the cave, which located below the place where Moses was standing before. ASTERION ========= Cosmo 270 Damage 65 AP 12 MP 12 DP 07 HP 11 From the place where you met Docrates, jump to left and reach the highest place. In there, you can see the last silver saint (Medusa Argor) is waiting, but first meet Marin who is waiting just below the temple where the Medusa Argor is standing. Marin will give you Athena shield (I don't know its function). Then move to the top and face Argor. ARGOR ===== Cosmo 300 Damage 70 AP 14 MP 10 DP 08 HP 07 From here, move to the right, reach the place where you met Docrates and jump to the most top-right of this area (maybe you need to increase your Jump ability temporarily and use pegasus cloth). Once you reach the temple in the top-right of this area, move to the right and you will reach Sanctuary. III.6. SANCTUARY ================ Finally, this is the last part of this game and extremely difficult as you will encounter many gold saints which possess incredible attack and defense power. I hope at least you already maximized your AP and DP, also carry a lot of cosmo before coming here. The game is pretty linear from here. After you beat a gold saint, another gold saint will appear. Keep beating them until the last one comes out. Every time after you beat one gold saint, make sure you visit Athena Statue at the top-left of this area because it will give you additional 100 cosmos. TAURUS ALDEBARAN ================= Cosmo 360 Damage 80 AP 15 MP 15 DP 12 HP 15 Talk with Aldebaran and you will get some cosmo. GEMINI ======= Cosmo 370 Damage 80 AP 15 MP 17 DP 13 HP 20 CANCER DEATH MASK ================== Cosmo 390 Damage 80 AP 17 MP 20 DP 13 HP 18 SCORPIO MILO ============= Cosmo 420 Damage 85 AP 20 MP 23 DP 14 HP 23 Starting from here, the battle will become very hard as the enemies have good attack and defense. Make sure you fill up your damage to maximum before fighting the enemy (in my case, I carried many cosmo collected from the hospital babe trick, so even when I filled up damage point to maximum, the displayed cosmo remain 999) VIRGO SHAKA ============ Cosmo 450 Damage 85 AP 21 MP 24 DP 15 HP 25 GEMINI 2nd encounter ==================== Cosmo 500 Damage 90 AP 22 MP 28 DP 17 HP 30 After you defeat Gemini for the 2nd time, move to the left and you can enter the largest temple which belong to Pope. Keep walking to the left where you can see a high floor (like a stage). From that floor, jump vertically to reach Pope's throne. Perhaps you need to increase JP point and use Pegasus Cloth. SHADOW (who the heck is he?) =========================== Cosmo 600 Damage 100 AP 25 MP 35 DP 20 HP 40 If you have DP = 20, Damage > 150, and enough cosmo, here's a trick to beat Shadow efficiently. If you sum AP, MP, DP, HP of Shadow, it will be 120 points which mean when Shadow attack with full power (as he always do that) his cosmo will be reduced by 120. Because this guy only have 600 cosmo, in summary, this guy can only attack 5 times!! Here is the trick: During the first five rounds, fill up your DP meter to maximum and leave the other stats unfilled. With this you will receive Shadow attack in minimum cost of cosmo, but of course you can't harm the enemy. After five round, you only spend 100 cosmo, leave some damage (In my case, I have 180 damage at first, after five rounds receiving attack, my damage became around 35 - 45), and the most important thing is Shadow won't have any cosmo left which mean he can't attack nor defend. After this happen, fill all of your stats meter (also hoping the Gold cloth will appear) and attack him. Since shadow doesn't have cosmo to defend, your attack will be very effective. If Gold cloth appear at your first attack, Shadow's damage point will only remain 20!! Beat this guy, get out from temple, proceed to the left, meet Athena, and congratulation! You have finished this game. ================= IV. MISCELLANEOUS ================= IV.1. VERSUS MODE ----------------- The VERSUS MODE allows two human players to fight against each other. The requirement for this mode is password. Each player enter his password (which they get from normal game) and their power will be determined from that password. However, this mode is stupid. Player one will always be the first one who fill the stats meter, and that is a great advantages for player two. Why? Suppose player 1 and player 2 have the same power (which is normally do), and player 1 maximize all of his stats meters. In this case, player 2 only needs to fill up its DP meter. The result will be player 1 won't harm player 2, and player 2 also cannot harm player 1. But player 1 cosmo will be drained rapidly because player 1 filled all stats meters. If player 1 decides to fill his/her DP only (leaving AP meter blank) then player 2 doesn't have to fill anything. If player 1 decides to fill his AP only then player 2 can attack player 1 with full power. In simple word, because player 2 can see what player 1 did on stats meter, then player 2 will always riding the wind. IV.2. CHEAT ------------- IV.2.a. UNLIMITED EXPERIENCE POINT This method seems to utilize a bug, rather than official cheat method. Go to MENU screen, and enter ABILITY menu. Then put your cursor on "finish" / Japanese word, that is the most-bottom optin, then press up-right. If the cursor disappear, or move to other strange part of the screen, then press B button repeatedly and you have succeed. If the cursor only move to CP, then repeat the process. If you keep pressing up-right correctly (which mean the cursor keep moving to strange position), then you can reach some points where pressing B means you get unlimited damage points, though it's very difficult. IV.2.b. CHEAT CODE Unlimited Damage - Address: 0689 Value: 999 Unlimited Cosmo - Address: 0685 Value: 999 These code have been tested using NNNester Emulator. =============== V.
