There's the story of the guy that strapped a large number of helium filled
balloons to a lawn chair [1], just because he always wanted to fly. The
modern variation today is strapping a large number of drones to a lawn chair
[2], just because he always wanted to fly (link via Instapundit [3]).

Neither variation appears safe.
