* * * * * Fifteen hundred words a day apparently is a problem. Today is November 1^st. And that can mean only one thing: the start of National Novel Writing Month [1]. And like many [2] years [3] gone [4] past [5] I will yet again attempt to write a novel. Last year (as well as years before) I really didn't have a solid idea going into the month on what to write, so I never got very far. Part of that problem is that I have a hard time writing fiction. While I don't lack for ideas, I do however, lack the discipline to see these ideas through. I said as much to Spring [6], and she suggested an idea I can get behind: to write a non-fiction book about a fictitious subject. It's certainly a better idea than writing 50,000 fictitious words [7]. We'll see how far I get this year.
