Oh, it does appear that it is some sort of holiday today, something about it
being a new year or some such silliness. Of course everyday is the start of a
new year! For it was a year ago that it was the same date! Well, except for
February 24^th [1], which comes around once every four years, except on the
other three years when it appears yearly. 

Yes, there will be a test on this. 

In other news, to show just how much of a geek I am, one of the things I did
today was telnet to an actual IBM PCjr [2], complete with ISA (Industry
Standard Architecture) network card [3] and custom TCP (Transmission Control
Protocol)/IP (Internet Protocol) network stack. 

How cool is that? 

And no, this will not be on the test. 

Maybe.
