I remember as a kid watching David Copperfield [1] making the Statue of
Liberty disappear [2] and always wondering how he managed to do that. It was
only years later when my friend Hoade told me how he did it [3] (okay okay,
here's the Straight Dope [4]). 

Well, that feeling of wonderment came back when I saw Criss Angel walking on
water [5], across a crowded swiming pool at a Las Vegas casino. It's an
amazing trick, however he managed to do it.
