Today is Soupy Sales' [1] 79^th birthday.

Happy Birthday Soupy!

Oddly enough, although I like his work, I'm too young to have ever seen his
children's show live, and his asking kids to send him little green pieces of
paper from their parents' wallets [2] was several years before my time.

And for some odd reason, I find this joke he never told [3] to be really
funny:
