Summer 2012

William and Dennis were intentionally just visiting us for a wee
while. It was a mutual favour: the lady we got our miniature
Shetlands from had sold these two young punk-rock boys, but had
them unexpectedly returned* and had no where really for them to go
at such short notice; and at the time we needed some additional
lawn mowing machines (would save me a job).

They were dead cute. I refer to them as punk-rock boys as they were
so young their manes were short and spiky and stuck up like
mohawks. They were (and I'm sure still are) as friendly as anything
and our two Shetlands adored having them as company and were pretty
sad to see them go when they got sold on after a month or so to a
permanent new home.

*If I recall correctly, the person returned them because they
weren't friendly and were difficult to catch. I strongly suspect
this was either a) a blatant lie or b) solely to do with the way
that person behaved towards them.
