== 2026-05-09 Saturday == I haven't been keeping up with these "regular" phlog weeknotes, here's a catchup.... === Weeknote #2 === It's been a quiet sort of week all round. Had my regular two-weekly self-injected dose of Adalimumab on Sunday. I /still/ don't know if it's doing enough good, or whether I need to ask about an alternative.... Went for a swim, too on Sunday. Found a grouse (alive) hiding in a coal scuttle in the utility room, brought in by the cat, of course. I have no idea how she got it in through the cat flap, nor how it found its way into the coal scuttle... Saw the first Butterfly of the year on Friday - a Red Admiral fluttering across the garden in a stiff, chilly breeze. When will the next one appear? == Media == = TV = Watched Snooker - the World Chanpionships finished on Monday evening with a hard fought victory for young Chinese player Wu Yize who eventually beat Sean Murphy by the narrowest margin of 18-17. = Streaming = Continuing to re-watch Big Bang Theory on HBOMax - from the start, slowly, this time - currently up to Season 2, Episode 17. = Comics = Also continuing to read 2000AD. This week's Prog 2481 has the start of a new Judge Dredd story, so I won't feel quite so lost now I'll be in at the start. Enjoying the confusion of slowly pulling bits of the other mid-storyline strips into place as I read week after week. == Hobbies == No singificant activity on the Radio hobby this week, after I got things set up. I knew I'd find I wasn't very active on the air, once I have the gear connected up and working.... but I tell myself it's because I've been temporarily distracted with my Gopher project. On the Gopher front - I had a server crash - not sure what happened, and with a VPS it's difficult to really know, or investigate after the fact. This led me to lose some recent Gopher posts. I re-installed Debian 12, and got everything back up and running, but had to spend quite some time putting the content back, and lost all the "new" stuff I'd written in the last couple of weeks. This at least forced me to set up automated backups of the Gopher content, so I shouldn't lose anything significant if it happens again. I played a few tunes on recorder last night (Friday), and found I'd forgotten some of the new tunes I'd recently learned. Fortunately I've got them all written down in a little pocket-sized Moleskine music-manuscript book. My "Tunebook". I can always read the dots and refresh my memory. Now the Gopher hole is back up and running, and adding content should now be a gentle "as it occurs" process, I can get back to doing things, instead of just "doing gopher". == John G4SLV
