This is my first attempt at a /now page for Gopher

I live in Shetland, far from the Madding Crowds! I'm married to an 
artist and we have 2 dogs & a cat. As I write this I'm 60 years old 
and can't quite believe it. I had a heart attack in 2018 and in 
2019 developed Rheumatoid Arthritis. The RA is now a central part 
of how I manage my days. And it annoys... I'm teetotal (for the 
last 5 years) after a previous lifetime's worth of Real Ale, Red 
Wine and Scotch Whisky [abuse|enjoyment]

Still working as a Transmitter Engineer, of sorts. Been doing it
for almost 38 years. The last 14 as self-employed. I'm starting to 
think about the possibility of retirement in the next 2 or 3 years.

I'm dipping in and out of learning the recorder. 
Trying to get my head around the nano text editor on Linux.
Finding my way around Gopher space and all that comes with that.

I started reading the comic book 2000AD again recently after last
reading it around 1980. I'm now 60 years old and it's fun to see
the look on the newsagent's face when I buy the latest issue!

I go in and out of reading novels. I'm on a rest from reading at
the moment, but recently read a few books until my enthusiasm waned
as it does every few months.

I write a daily diary, with small sketches and a record of my life.
I've taken up my old Ham Radio hobby again, in a small-scale way.
I play chess most days with my wife.
Dog walking.
Swimming on a Sunday with friends and their kids.
Gopherhole maintenance and phlogging.
Playing music from time to time - mandolin and recorder (soprano
and alto).
