IMP is short for Imap WebMail Program. It uses existing IMAP accounts for e-mail and allows universal, Web-based access to UW, Cyrus, MS Exchange and every type of IMAP server.

IMP is part of the Horde project, a project designed to create a suite of free, Web-based productivity applications.
