CDRecord allows for the creation of both audio and data CDs. It supports CD recorders from DynaTec, Hi-Val, Pinnacle, Ricoh, Smart, TEAC, Taiyo, HP, Plasmon, Grundig, Mistumi, Yamaha and Sony.
CDRecord has several advantages over CDwrite, another popular CD-writing tool. For example, full multi-session support and human-readable error messages are supported.
