RRD is a system for storing and displaying network bandwidths, machine room temperatures and server load averages.

It stores data in a compact way, presenting graphs by processing data in a manner that enforces a specific data density.

RRD can be used either by way of simple wrapper scripts or front-ends that poll network devices and put user-friendly interfaces on them.
