This library provides physically correct mixed unit arithmetic such as adding feet and meters, shifted units like degrees of Celsius and Fahrenheit, string input and output of dimensioned values of all SI, and a variety of irregular units. UTF-8 encoding is supported. Unit checks are made at run-time. It is possible to write applications dealing with unknown values in advance dimensions. Documentation and examples are provided. Unit converters for Unix and Windows are provided as well. The GTK converter functions everywhere a GTK 2.x implementation is available.
