This is a file encryption tool. Files are encrypted using the cryptography standard 3DES in CBC-Mode using a time dependant uniquely chosen initial vector IV. The content of the file is encrypted together with a secure hash, therefore detection of possible changes of the cipher is ensured.
This command line utility may be combined with other utilities like TAR and GZIP and customized with shell or Perl scripts. The encrypted files may be sent using any e-mail software or other protocol like FTP together
with the executable file D3DES.
