Information:
Fcron aims to replace Vixie Cron, so it implements most of its functionalities.
Contrary to Vixie Cron, Fcron does not require that your system be up seven days a week, 24 hours a day. As opposed to Anacrontab, it also works well with systems that are not running regularly.
Fcron allows you to use the standard mode, one in which you can tell the program to execute one command at a given date and hour, making it run a command according to its time of execution, which is normally the same as "system up" time.
